SAN FRANCISCO, September 15, 2026 /3BL/ – SCS Global Services, a global leader in third-party environmental and sustainability certification, today announced that it has verified over 400 million tonnes of CO2 emissions reductions and removals, a milestone reached since it began assessing carbon offset projects in 2008. The achievement spans more than 1,350 completed audits across 50-plus countries and covers more than 50 distinct carbon offset methodologies.

The scale of this achievement is significant. The verified reductions are roughly equivalent to removing 93.3 million cars from the road for a year, or to the emissions avoided by powering 83 million U.S. homes with electricity for a year. In the United States alone, SCS has completed carbon offset and sustainability audits in 47 of 50 states.

“This industry runs on integrity, and 400 million tonnes of verified emissions reductions is an incredible contribution to the fight against climate change. Every one of those tonnes went through an independent, high-integrity verification process, and that consistency is what gives this market the credibility it needs to scale and grow,” said Christie Pollet-Young, Vice President, Climate at SCS Global Services.

As carbon markets continue to mature and face growing scrutiny over data quality and methodological rigor, independent verification plays a central role in giving buyers, regulators, and the public confidence in the integrity of each credit. Reaching this milestone underscores SCS Global Services’ role as one of the longest-standing and most active verifiers in the market. SCS Global Services’ carbon offset verification work applies internationally recognized standards and methodologies to confirm that emissions reductions are real, measurable, and permanent.

A Portfolio Spanning Sectors and Continents

The path to 400 million tonnes runs through a wide range of emissions sources and geographies. SCS Global Services built its early carbon offset expertise in forestry, drawing on its long-standing reputation as an auditor for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and went on to verify the world’s first Improved Forest Management projects under the California Climate Action Registry, the predecessor to today’s Cap-and-Invest Program. That early work laid the foundation for SCS Global Services to extended its verification expertise across dozens of project types and international registries, often serving on working groups that help develop standards for emerging markets and technologies. Notable projects verified by SCS Global Services include:

  • Yurok Tribe Sustainable Forest Project. For the Yurok Tribe in Northern California, SCS Global Services verified not only the first Improved Forest Management (IFM) project, but also the first project led by a tribal entity under California’s Cap-and-Invest Program, supporting sustainable tribal forestry practices that increase carbon storage while protecting culturally and ecologically significant forestlands.
  • HFC refrigerant reclamation in Illinois. For Hudson Technologies, SCS Global Services verified a project that reclaims refrigerants for reuse in existing air conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the United States, avoiding the production and eventual release of virgin HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons), a class of greenhouse gases with extremely high near-term warming potential.
  • Regenerative agriculture across South Africa. For Orizon Agriculture, SCS Global Services verified emissions reductions and carbon removals from a grouped project spanning 22 farms and more than 15,500 hectares, where improved land management practices such as reduced tillage, cover cropping, and better grazing management are increasing soil organic carbon.
  • Reforesting the Brazilian Amazon Project. For Mombak, SCS Global Services verified the first Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) project in the Brazilian Amazon using all-native species. It was also the first project to issue ARR credits under the Isometric registry. The project restored previously degraded pastureland, generating long-term carbon removals while supporting biodiversity recovery and ecosystem resilience.
  • Ozone-depleting substance destruction in Thailand. For Tradewater, SCS Global Services verified the destruction of legacy CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) refrigerants at a facility in Samutprakarn, Thailand, preventing gases with severe ozone and climate impacts from ever being released.
  • Carbon mineralization in concrete production. For CarbonCure Technologies, SCS Global Services has verified projects across the United States, Canada, and Singapore under Verra’s VM0043 methodology, which permanently mineralizes captured CO2 in concrete while reducing the amount of carbon-intensive cement required.
  • Atiala Atsinanana REDD project in Madagascar. For the Atiala-Atsinanana Emission Reductions Program in Madagascar, SCS Global Services verified emissions reductions from a jurisdictional REDD+ program spanning nearly 7 million hectares of eastern tropical forest, where efforts to reduce deforestation, strengthen community forest management, and protect biodiversity are generating large-scale climate benefits.

“These examples reflect not only the history of offsets but also where the market is headed, more diversification, more innovation, and a growing recognition that there’s no single path to real climate impact. Wherever this market goes next, our commitment stays the same, that offsets remain a meaningful part of how the world addresses climate change, and that they’re built on high integrity,” said Pollet-Young.

Lectra unveils Apogy,
the first solution embedding agentic artificial intelligence

to reinvent fashion product development

By combining artificial intelligence, industry-specific agents and product data, Apogy revolutionizes the way products are designed and developed

Paris, September 15, 2026 – Lectra announces the launch of Apogy, its cloud-based solution dedicated to product development, a critical phase between garment design and production. Nearly half a century after establishing the global standard for CAD solutions dedicated to the fashion industry, Lectra is opening a new chapter in history with Apogy.

Designed in the age of agentic artificial intelligence, Apogy transforms product development by bringing data, processes and all stakeholders together in a single digital environment. By automating low-value tasks and making information and expertise easier to access, it significantly accelerates product development while enabling teams to focus on innovation, creativity and strategic decision-making.

From its earliest computer-aided design solutions to Modaris, ModarisPGS and Gerber AccuMark, which have become global industry benchmarks, Lectra has continuously supported the transformation of fashion processes. Today, the industry faces increasingly volatile demand, ever-shorter collection cycles, and mounting regulatory and environmental pressures. Against this backdrop of accelerated change, product development required major technological advances to rethink fragmented processes and dispersed data.

Apogy marks a major turning point by delivering, for the first time, a solution capable of thoroughly reinventing this critical phase.

“For fifty years, Lectra has helped transform the fashion industry, particularly by digitizing patternmaking. Today, agentic artificial intelligence gives us the opportunity to take a new step forward and reinvent product development as a whole,” said Maximilien Abadie, Deputy CEO of Lectra. “With Apogy, we are launching the first and only solution designed to bring together all involved parties, data and processes that shape a product. By breaking down silos and streamlining interactions across the entire ecosystem, we enable fashion companies to develop desirable, manufacturable products that meet consumer demand more quickly. Apogy ushers in a new era of product development, where artificial intelligence turns product data into a competitive advantage for fashion players.”

Agentic artificial intelligence opens a new chapter in product development

At the heart of Apogy, agentic artificial intelligence assists teams in decision-making, automates and accelerates development, and builds on decades of industrial know-how. Agentic AI proactively supports teams and acts as a true ally, capable of orchestrating tasks and leveraging the right data.

A new generation of intelligent agents supports teams throughout the development cycle, from the initial idea to an industrialization-ready prototype. Teams can quickly generate and explore new concepts from prompts, sketches or images, while collaborating in real time on product development in a shared environment that provides full traceability of changes. Compatible with all standard market formats, Apogy also streamlines digital prototyping and facilitates approvals through 3D simulations and high-quality photorealistic renderings.

Collaboration and knowledge transfer at the heart of product development

Apogy centralizes all key product development data in a single, secure, shared and continuously updated source. It enables teams, partners and suppliers across the ecosystem to collaborate simultaneously, thereby accelerating approval and production stages.

O’Neills, an Irish sportswear brand, is already reaping the benefits. “For the first time in our history, all our teams are using a single solution. This harmonization eliminates errors linked to data transfers, increases transparency and now enables us to accelerate operations, improve productivity and effectively support our growth,” said David Towell, Senior Manager at O’Neills.

Apogy also helps preserve and disseminate key know-how within organizations. By leveraging existing expertise, the solution reduces dependence on a small number of experts, safeguards critical skills and accelerates team development.

“New generations expect to work with cutting-edge tools. By equipping our teams with Apogy, a solution designed natively for the AI era and featuring advanced capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to attract, develop and retain the next generation of talent in product development roles, particularly in modelling within the Oniverse group,” said Riccardo Romani, Operations Director at Oniverse, an international fashion group comprising several brands, including Calzedonia, Intimissimi and Tezenis.

Designed to evolve continuously and delivered as SaaS, Apogy will continue to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities to automate more tasks, enhance workflows and unlock new performance opportunities.

The result of three years of development and in-depth dialogue with several dozen customers, Apogy is built on a proven understanding of market needs. Its adoption by early customers has already demonstrated both its operational effectiveness and its ability to support the transformation of product development in the fashion industry today.
