For la Vie en Rose Group, sustainability directly informs business direction.

La Vie en Rose Group has built its sustainability work within a business that continues to grow in scale and reach. Experts in lingerie, swimwear, and loungewear since 1985, la Vie en Rose Group is headquartered in Montreal and operates more than 320 boutiques across Canada and the United States, and has 89 franchise locations in 19 countries internationally. As the company has expanded, it has continued to strengthen its approach to corporate social responsibility, integrating social and environmental impacts into its operations.

In December 2021, the company became a Cascale member and integrated the Higg Index, delivered through Worldly’s global technology platform, into its corporate social responsibility strategy to help evaluate environmental impact, working conditions, and governance. In collaboration with manufacturers, la Vie en Rose Group works to improve supply chain practices. With Cascale’s guidance in November 2023, la Vie en Rose Group submitted its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to set near-term science-based emissions reduction targets in line with SBTi criteria and recommendations.

Recently, la Vie en Rose Group reached an important milestone when its target was approved by the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi). Under its parent company, Administration LVER Inc., la Vie en Rose Group committed to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 63 percent by 2035 from a 2023 base year. They also committed to reducing scope 3 GHG emissions by 66.3 percent per unit sold within the same timeframe.

Responding to a New Requirement During Validation

As companies move through science-based target setting, technical requirements can become more detailed during validation. For la Vie en Rose Group, one of those requirements was accurately accounting for forest, land, and agriculture (FLAG) impacts within its emissions inventory.

The FLAG requirement surfaced during target validation with SBTi Services. Because la Vie en Rose Group’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 inventory had not originally been developed with FLAG emissions in mind, the company needed to integrate this component mid-validation while remaining aligned with SBTi Services’ 30-day validation timeline.

That made FLAG emissions a significant step in the process. It required la Vie en Rose Group to adapt quickly and apply a credible methodology within a narrow window.

Applying Sector Guidance to Integrate FLAG Emissions

To guide FLAG emissions accounting for the sector, Cascale and Worldly published the Navigating Forest, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) Emissions report in August 2025. The report offers a standardized method for estimating FLAG emissions for the apparel and footwear industry using the Higg Materials Sustainability Index (MSI).

La Vie en Rose Group was already calculating product impacts for tiers 2, 3, and 4 using Higg MSI LCA assessment values, which gave the team a strong starting point for applying the methodology in a way that aligned with the logic and factors already being used in its inventory work.

However, one point required additional clarification. The methodology needed to be applied only to the raw material source portion of the LCA impacts. Before that was clarified, the company encountered estimates that appeared unusually high. With quick 1:1 support from Cascale’s technical team, la Vie en Rose Group was able to proceed with greater confidence in both their calculation and their submission to SBTi.

“Integrating FLAG impacts into our validation process required us to move fast and work in a very structured way. Careful application was essential, and Cascale’s methodology gave us a clear framework for addressing the requirement with confidence,” said Sarah Baker, corporate social responsibility principal advisor, la Vie en Rose.

Achieving Approval and Strengthening an Ongoing Effort

La Vie en Rose Group’s target was approved by SBTi Services without follow-up questions regarding its FLAG emissions calculation.

A huge achievement that reflects the work la Vie en Rose Group completed internally to adapt its inventory, apply the methodology, and stay on track through the validation process. It also shows that a structured approach, grounded in sector-relevant guidance, can support companies as they respond to more technical requirements within target setting.

Putting FLAG into Practice

Even for companies that are not assumed to fall within FLAG sector remits, there is a lesson to be learned. La Vie en Rose Group’s experience shows that integrating FLAG emission calculations during validation is possible and that earlier preparation can make the process smoother.

Another takeaway for CSR professionals is the necessity of leading with a sound methodological approach. The Higg MSI in its current iteration does not include land-use change emissions, which form part of what needs to be measured in FLAG. Those values need to be adjusted to account for FLAG emissions. La Vie en Rose Group’s experience shows that companies can work through that requirement with a sound methodology and the right application.

For Cascale, this is a practical example of how shared methodologies can support members in achieving their goals. The guidance did not replace the work la Vie en Rose Group needed to do internally. It gave the company a sector-specific framework it could apply at a critical point in the process. That kind of support can help members move forward more efficiently, respond to evolving expectations, and build confidence in their approach.

For other companies navigating similar questions, la Vie en Rose offers a strong example of how thoughtful preparation and shared industry guidance can support progress on complex climate goals.

England cricket legend Ebony Rainford-Brent also unveiled three new cricket nets, donated to the club by DP World’s London Gateway Freeport Community Investment Fund (LGFCIF).

LONDON, June 24, 2026 /3BL/ – Global smart logistics leader DP World and the International Cricket Council (ICC) today brought the award-winning Beyond Boundaries Initiative to Stanford-le-Hope Cricket Club in Essex, delivering a repurposed shipping container, with the support of former English cricketer and commentator, Ebony Rainford-Brent MBE, to support young players in the community surrounding its London Gateway logistics hub.

Against the backdrop of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in the UK and delivered in partnership with the ICC, the latest phase of the initiative saw DP World deliver its fifteenth repurposed shipping container and 250 cricket kits to aspiring players.

A repurposed shipping container begins its new life as a valuable community asset, supporting grassroots cricket development.

Rashid Abdulla, CEO & MD, Europe at DP World, said: “We are delighted to continue our award-winning Beyond Boundaries Initiative in Europe, and proud to bring it to Stanford-le-Hope, a community close to our London Gateway operation and an important part of DP World’s UK story. We know that the cost of both cricket equipment and infrastructure can be prohibitive, so we hope that this latest delivery can help support our neighbours Stanford-le-Hope Cricket Club, in what promises to be an exciting summer of cricket”.

Using its global logistics expertise, DP World delivers repurposed shipping containers that are transformed into cricket facilities, alongside new equipment, to communities where access to kit and infrastructure can be a barrier to participation. The Stanford-le-Hope installation provides dedicated storage for cricket equipment and a lasting facility for the club, with solar panels installed on the container to help power its day-to-day use. The cricket kits, each made up of a bat, ball, pads, helmet and bag, will be delivered to Colts junior players at the club and players from local schools Abbots Hall Primary Academy and Arthur Bugler Primary School.

Ebony Rainford-Brent commented: “I know firsthand the power that a cricket bat has to change lives; it certainly changed what was possible for me. It’s therefore heartening to see DP World providing both the resources and infrastructure needed to help the game thrive. As the Women’s T20 World Cup inspires a new generation, initiatives like this can help ensure more young people, including girls, have the opportunity to pick up a bat and play.”

Former England cricketer and commentator Ebony Rainford-Brent MBE joined the celebration, inspiring the next generation of players.

Beyond the container, today’s event also saw the unveiling of three state-of-the-art, synthetic cricket nets, donated to the club through DP World’s London Gateway Freeport Community Investment Fund (LGFCIF). These nets will allow players of all ages to train on low maintenance, all-weather facilities.

Anurag Dahiya, Chief Commercial Officer of the ICC, said: “Growing the game of cricket across global borders is central to the ICC’s mission. Since signing as our Global Logistics Partner in 2023, DP World has helped bring that commitment to life through the Beyond Boundaries Initiative, continuing to expand opportunities and redefine what’s possible in creating both opportunity and access in grassroots cricket.”

Andrew Robinson, Youth Organiser at Stanford-le-Hope Cricket Club, added: “We are extremely grateful to DP World for providing invaluable support to us and our players. Our club is at the heart of our community and the nets, cricket kits and the container will go a long way to supporting our future. Hopefully one of our Colts will be the next Ebony Rainford-Brent, representing England on a global stage!”

Throughout the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, DP World is continuing a kits-for-runs scheme, which first started during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023. For every 100 runs scored at ICC pinnacle events, DP World will deliver 10 cricket kits to grassroots cricket, equally split between boys and girls.

The latest container will be adorned with an image of DP World’s Global Ambassador and global cricket star, Sachin Tendulkar, in addition to players from the local community, in an artwork designed by local artists K&B Designs.

Since its launch in 2023, the Beyond Boundaries Initiative has delivered 15 repurposed shipping containers and 3,550 cricket kits across eight countries and four continents. The delivery today is the second to take place in the UK, after the initiative was previously brought to the UK in conjunction with the MCC Foundation at Lord’s Cricket Ground last year.

GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) and RIVET, a global youth innovation organization, today announced the U.K. recipients selected for the 2026 Social Innovation Challenge, an initiative supporting young social entrepreneurs with funding, mentorship and AI-powered digital tools designed to help founders launch and test ideas more quickly.

The program supports early-stage entrepreneurs developing solutions focused on education, health and wellness, sustainability, inclusion and poverty reduction. Participants will also take part in a three-month venture-building sprint, working alongside mentors and community partners to build, refine and validate their ideas.

As advances in AI continue reshaping how businesses get started, the initiative aims to expand access to social entrepreneurship for young founders who may lack traditional funding, technical resources or professional networks. The selected cohort includes projects addressing challenges ranging from mental health and economic inclusion to sustainability and education access.

Purpose is often a powerful driver of entrepreneurship. GoDaddy research found that roughly one in three small business owners (32%) started their business in part to support a cause or hobby they’re passionate about.

“Some of the most impactful ideas come from people who are closest to the challenges their communities face,” said Jared Sine, chief strategy and legal officer at GoDaddy. “Today’s technology makes it easier than ever to turn an idea into something real, and we want more young entrepreneurs to have the opportunity to build, experiment and create lasting impact for themselves and their communities.”

Participants will receive:

  • £596 in early-stage funding to test and develop their ideas
  • Access to AI-powered GoDaddy tools that simplify building an online presence and launching projects
  • Mentorship and a structured three-month development program
  • Opportunities for storytelling amplification and public recognition

Top-performing participants will also be eligible for additional £1,488 Boost Grants and expanded support to help scale their projects.

GoDaddy partners with community organizations like RIVET through its signature social impact program, GoDaddy Empower, designed to help emerging entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses online.

“Young entrepreneurs are finding creative ways to solve problems in their communities, but too often they lack the support systems needed to get started,” said Christina Rose, chief marketing officer at RIVET. “This partnership is about giving promising founders practical resources, experienced mentorship and the confidence to turn early ideas into action.”

The program is being delivered in collaboration with Launch It, a U.K.-based charity helping young people aged 18–30 start and grow their businesses by providing affordable workspace and expert start-up support.

The Social Innovation Challenge runs through December 2026. Throughout the program, GoDaddy and RIVET will highlight standout founders and projects across digital and social channels, with select participants featured in additional storytelling initiatives later this year.

SOUTHAMPTON, England, June 24, 2026 /3BL/ – DP World has welcomed two of Europe’s largest quay cranes to Southampton in its latest investment to ensure this major container terminal can meet growing demand from UK trade.

The quay cranes, weighing more than 2,000 tonnes each and standing nearly 150 metres high – more than 50 metres taller than Big Ben – arrived fully constructed by sea and will be offloaded directly onto the Southampton container terminal quayside this week.

This is the first of two pairs of quay cranes set to arrive in Southampton in 2026, with a second pair due to arrive later this year, bringing the total number of cranes servicing the port to sixteen.

The new cranes will boost handling capacity and volumes at DP World Southampton and are able to service the largest container ships currently in operation, including 24,000 TEU megaships, as well as future larger vessels not yet built.

Capable of consecutive ‘tandem lifts’ of two 40ft containers at once, the new quay cranes will support an increase in efficiency and productivity, improved reliability for customers, and help to futureproof operations at the terminal. The investment is also expected to support faster vessel turnaround times and enhance Southampton’s ability to accommodate growing trade volumes.

The quay cranes arrived fully constructed by sea and are expected to be offloaded directly onto DP World’s Southampton container terminal quayside this week.

Kris Adams, DP World CEO UK Ports & Terminals, said: “Trade powers the UK’s growth and prosperity, and today’s arrival of two fantastic new quay cranes is a landmark moment for Southampton and for our long-standing operation in this vital port. DP World’s investment is equipping our terminal here in this major trading city for the future, ensuring we can handle the next generation of large container vessels, boosting our capacity and efficiency. Upgraded infrastructure at Southampton will allow us to better serve customers across the UK and strengthen our terminal’s contribution to the national economy.”

Satvir Kaur MP, Member of Parliament for Southampton Test, said: “Southampton has a proud maritime history, and our port continues to play a vital role in supporting local jobs, trade and economic growth across the city and beyond. This significant investment by DP World demonstrates confidence in the port’s future and will help strengthen Southampton’s position as one of the UK’s most important trading gateways.”

Southampton is the UK’s third-largest container port, and the investment forms a central part of DP World’s long-term strategy to enhance operational capability and strengthen its role as a key gateway for UK trade. With strong connections to Asia, the Middle East and the Americas, the terminal plays a critical role in connecting Britain to international shipping and trade.

In 2025, DP World Southampton handled more than 2 million TEU, one of the highest annual throughput figures in the terminal’s history. This contributed to DP World’s UK container total of more than 5 million TEU in a national market handling over 9 million TEU.
