HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — AARP Pennsylvania is encouraging caregivers to explore a free video training series developed by the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) that provides an overview of guardianship and alternatives to guardianship in Pennsylvania.

The Guardianship Training Series includes 14 videos designed to provide newly appointed guardians, prospective guardians and other members of the public with guidance on the roles and responsibilities of a court-appointed guardian. The series is especially timely as new data released by AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving shows nearly one quarter of adults in Pennsylvania are providing unpaid care to loved ones and only a small percentage receive formal training.

According to AARP’s Caregiving in the U.S. 2025: Caring Across States report, more than 2.3 million adults in Pennsylvania—23 percent of the population—are family caregivers. Nearly half (46 percent) are high-intensity caregivers, providing extensive support with daily tasks and medical needs. Yet only 9 percent receive any formal training.

“When a court appoints a guardian, they are essentially transferring decision-making authority from one person to another,” said Bill Johnston-Walsh, AARP Pennsylvania State Director. “Promoting guardianship resources during National Family Caregiving Month is essential because it equips families and caregivers with the knowledge and tools needed to manage complex legal responsibilities, make informed decisions, and support caregiving needs effectively. AARP appreciates the AOPC for providing these resources to make the caregiving journey easier when the need for guardianship exists.”

“Ensuring that guardians understand their responsibilities is critical to protecting the rights, dignity, and well-being of some of our Commonwealth’s most vulnerable residents,” said Chief Justice of Pennsylvania Debra Todd. “We are grateful for AARP Pennsylvania’s partnership in helping to raise awareness of these educational tools. By equipping families and caregivers with clear, accessible information, we can help them navigate these important decisions and support those in their care.”

by Seth Goldman, cofounder, Just Ice Tea and Honest Tea

This Autumn will mark three years since Just Ice Tea entered the market and 27 years since I first entered the natural foods industry with Honest Tea. These milestones give me the chance to reflect on some of the ways the natural foods business is evolving.

First, some thoughts on the retailers. While most natural food entrepreneurs and investors talk about how important it is to launch a new brand in Sprouts or Whole Foods Market, there are two networks of stores, INFRA and NCG which are not as well-known but played a critical role for Honest Tea, Just Ice Tea and hundreds of other brands that launch in the natural channel.

As an entrepreneur, I am duty-bound to serve my investors. I raise money from them to launch products that compete based on their taste, health and environmental and social impact. In exchange for their capital, I work to deliver a return on their confidence in my enterprise. That’s what happened with Honest Tea/Honest Kids when our founding investors realized a 23-fold return as a result of our sale to Coca-Cola.

But the financial return is only part of the story. Through the success of Honest Kids, we expanded access to organic drinks and helped reduce empty calories in the American diet. And through Just Ice Tea we are showing how we can invest in tea farmers and their Fair Trade communities while building a powerful brand.

Capitalism has plenty of flaws but I’ve yet to see a system that does a better job deploying money to innovators and creating a marketplace for ideas and products.

MILAN, November 24, 2025 /3BL/ – MARTINI® wins the “Storytelling through products and brand” category at the 2025 Corporate Heritage Awards with the redesign of its iconic bottle. The project blends tradition and innovation, enhancing the company’s heritage and its bond with Turin to relaunch the brand in the global aperitivo market.

Now in its fifth edition, the Corporate Heritage Awards are promoted by Leaving Footprints, an academic spin-off of the University of Sannio and the University of Naples Parthenope. They recognize Italian companies that stand out for showcasing their historical and cultural heritage through creative projects with social impact. This year, MARTINI® triumphs in the “Storytelling through products and brand” category, dedicated to telling corporate heritage through products and brand identity.

For over 160 years, MARTINI® has been synonymous with quality and Italian style in the world of vermouth. In 2025, the brand repositioned itself with a new bottle featuring a magnetic design, created to celebrate the Italian aperitivo. Inspired by the brand’s history, the new look is rich in elements that reinterpret its heritage in a contemporary key. The arched silhouette pays homage to Turin and its UNESCO-listed architecture, evoking the characteristic arcades that frame the city’s historic cafés. The ribbed texture of the glass recalls the neon of the famous MARTINI® sign in Piazza San Carlo, one of the city’s grand salons. At the center of the label stands the Ball & Bar logo, an icon introduced in the late 1920s: in nearly a century it has undergone very few changes, confirming the foresight of an immediate, minimalist, and rational style.

The new bottle also looks to the future with sustainable choices: over 99% of the wine used in MARTINI vermouths comes from Equalitas-certified wineries, helping ensure full traceability and guaranteeing quality and transparency throughout the supply chain. In addition, the 1-liter format has been lightened by 30 grams (-5% in weight), helping reduce the brand’s carbon footprint, while the slimmer shape makes it possible to transport 48 more 75 cl bottles per pallet (+8%), significantly improving logistics efficiency.

This ability to combine tradition and innovation is rooted in a unique asset: the MARTINI® Historical Archive, recognized by the Ministry of Culture in 1999 as “of notable historical interest.” With about two linear kilometers of documents, ledgers, photographs, audiovisuals, bottles, posters, objects, and materials organized into holdings and collections (including historical series dating from 1847, international holdings, and a photographic collection of the Terrazze MARTINI® with over 50,000 images), the archive fuels today’s creativity and offers the public a valuable cross-section of Italy’s business culture.

Within this context, the brand’s cultural heritage becomes an integral part of Casa MARTINI®, the brand home located at the historic production site in Pessione just outside Turin, where the brand welcomes consumers eager to get up close with its history and craft through tours, tastings, and unique experiences exploring vermouth and mixology. It is a place where memory becomes experience and tradition becomes contemporary inspiration.

Thanks to the Corporate Heritage Awards, MARTINI® reaffirms its Piedmontese and Italian roots and consolidates its status as a global icon capable of engaging with new generations, looking to the future responsibly while preserving and revitalizing a great past.

It preserves about 2 linear kilometers of documents, ledgers, photographs, audiovisuals, bottles, posters, objects, and materials, organized into fonds and collections. The Michel Re Agnelli and Baudino and Martini & Rossi fonds gather documentary series dating from 1847 (corporate books, ledgers, journals, inventories, correspondence, and department files). The Foreign Fonds testify to early international expansion and enable the study of the Italian wine industry around the world. The Archival Collections include MARTINI-branded objects, labels, advertising materials, audiovisuals, and photographs, including over 50,000 images of the Terrazze MARTINI (primarily Milan). The archive is located at MARTINI’s historic production site in Pessione, just outside Turin. It is also home to the brand’s visitor center, Casa MARTINI, where heritage is an integral part of an experiential, sensory journey open to all consumers interested in learning about the brand’s history, production, vermouth, and Italian-style aperitivo mixology.

Results Underscore Need for Continued Research and Diverse Treatment Pipeline

CHICAGO, Nov. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Alzheimer’s Association is disappointed that the evoke and evoke+ clinical trials did not demonstrate a statistically significant reduction in Alzheimer’s disease progression. The studies tested an oral semaglutide pill for the treatment of early-stage symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease.

“While these results are not what we had hoped for, they will contribute to our understanding of this devastating and fatal disease,” said Joanne Pike, DrPH, Alzheimer’s Association president and chief executive officer. “The data from every clinical trial, regardless of outcome, is vital to accelerating our understanding of this disease and helps inform the next generation of clinical trials. We remain optimistic about the future of Alzheimer’s treatment and prevention, as the scientific landscape continues to diversify and expand.”

The company said, “While treatment with semaglutide resulted in improvement of Alzheimer’s disease-related biomarkers in both trials, this did not translate into a delay of disease progression.” The evoke and evoke+ trials were large-scale, long-term international clinical trials. More than 3,800 people ages 55-85 diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease, (referred to as stage 3 and 4 of Alzheimer’s disease), were enrolled.

“These results will help us refine our understanding of this class of drugs,” said Maria C. Carrillo, Ph.D., Alzheimer’s Association chief science officer and medical affairs lead. “Though this semaglutide pill did not help against Alzheimer’s, the field will continue to investigate this class of drugs, as they may act differently. And, the Alzheimer’s Association remains a fierce leader for this type of innovative research, and we believe it’s critical to continue investigating diverse approaches to treatment and prevention.”

The Alzheimer’s treatment pipeline is robust and full of hope. An annual evaluation of the drug development pipeline published in Alzheimer’s & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions in early 2025, shows there are 182 active clinical trials evaluating 138 novel drugs. The Alzheimer’s Association, through its “Part the Cloud” program, provides strategic funding to advance promising investigational Alzheimer’s therapies into clinical trials. The treatment targets are varied, which is important given the growing consensus that effective treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s is likely to be a personalized combination of multiple interventions.

For people living with early Alzheimer’s, approved treatments are available. We urge individuals to talk to their doctor about these options. Individuals can also talk to their doctor about participating in clinical trials, or visit the Alzheimer’s Association’s TrialMatch for more information.

The Association appreciates these topline results and looks forward to hearing a deeper dive into the data at the Clinical Trials in Alzheimer’s Disease (CTAD) meeting in December.

At Keysight, this spirit lives beyond our labs and offices. It extends into classrooms, community centers, and after-school spaces around the world.

Through the Keysight After School program, Keysight employees volunteer their time, knowledge, and energy to inspire young learners to dream boldly and think differently. Whether it’s sparking curiosity through a simple experiment or guiding students through their first robotics challenge, these moments create ripples of confidence that last far beyond the school day.

Learning powered by purpose

Education lies at the heart of long-term societal prosperity and creative growth. That’s why the Keysight After School program bridges the company’s passion for innovation with its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

In 2025, Keysight volunteers inspired nearly 2,000 students through hands-on learning experiences using STEM activity kits provided by the Keysight After School program to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics to life.

Growing as Students, Giving as Volunteers

Every kit opens a new window into discovery. It’s an experience that builds confidence, curiosity, and connection. For many students, it’s the first spark that reveals what they’re capable of. And for the volunteers, it’s a reminder of why they give their time – to see the power of engineering, science, and teamwork come alive through young eyes while helping support a future technology skilled workforce.

A Keysight volunteer shared with us his journey about this experience: “I had a great experience volunteering with Keysight After School.  I worked with a third grade class, and we did projects that ranged from building Lego machines to dissecting owl pellets.  For each session, I came up with a lesson theme that would be understandable to the audience which, admittedly, is a little different than the engineering teams I usually speak with.  It made me think deeper about the topics than I would have expected so that I could explain them simply and clearly!”

Shaping tomorrow, together

Innovation isn’t only about technology – it’s about people getting together and sharing ideas. When employees bring their skills and hearts to local classrooms, they help build a world where innovation is sustainable, and accessible to all.

Special thanks to the Keysight volunteers and the students whose curiosity keeps us inspired. Together, we’re not just building skills; we’re building futures.

Encouraging innovation

In early 2025, we launched our 15th Business Resource Group called SPARK (Securing Protection for Audience Research & Knowledge), an innovation-focused group that provides a space to explore bold ideas, champion intellectual property and contribute to Nielsen’s evolving business landscape.

Listening to employee voices

We regularly gather feedback to shape the employee experience. In 2024, 80% of employees participated in our Nielsen Voice Survey, up from 73% in 2023. Their input helped teams and managers focus on what matters most and contributed to an 8-point increase in our employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS).

Growing AI use responsibly

We hosted our first-ever Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hackathon in fall 2024 that brought together more than 700 Nielsen employees to explore practical applications and new innovations. As we expand our use of AI, we remain focused on upskilling teams, protecting data and leveraging technology in alignment with Nielsen’s values.

Expanding our green fleet

To advance our commitment to lower-emission transportation, our global fleet, primarily used for field operations, continues to shift toward electric and hybrid vehicles. These vehicles represented 22% of our total portfolio at the end of 2024, up from 18% in 2023.

Volunteering in our communities

Employee engagement in community programs nearly doubled in 2024, rising to 42.5% from 22.7% participation in 2023, and surpassing our three-year goal of 30%. Employees logged nearly 19,900 total volunteer hours during 2024.

QUERÉTARO, Mexico, November 24, 2025 /3BL/ – SCS de México (SCIENTIFIC CERTIFICATION SYSTEMS DE MÉXICO SA DE CV), a pioneer and global leader in third-party food and agriculture certifications and standards development, today announced its approval by SENASICA to offer Organic Certification under Mexico’s Organic Products Law, Ley de Productos Orgánicos (LPO).

Mexico’s organic sector continues to expand, with more than 46,000 producers, predominantly small and medium-sized operations, cultivating over 331,000 hectares of organic food and generating approximately 400 million dollars annually. Nearly 80 percent of this production is exported to major markets including the United States, Canada, and the European Union. As the market grows, LPO certification ensures the integrity of organic products, and supports compliance for companies operating in or exporting to Mexico.

“Obtaining approval to offer LPO Organic certification marks an important milestone for SCS de México,” said Oscar Morales, General Manager at SCS de México. “We are excited to support Mexican growers, processors, and traders in meeting the rigorous standards of the Organic Products Law while helping them access both domestic and international markets for organic products.”

LPO certification confirms that organic products comply with Mexico’s Organic Products Law, its regulations, and the Organic Production Guidelines Agreement, which establishes requirements for seed selection, soil management, plant nutrition, pest and disease control, harvesting, processing, and marketing. The certification ensures that producers use approved inputs and implement practices that maintain organic integrity throughout the supply chain. SCS de México is now authorized to certify organic operations across three key categories: vegetable production, processing of agricultural and livestock products, and commercialization of organic products.

Mexico Organic (LPO) certification is required for any operation selling or importing organic products into Mexico, including:

  • Growers exporting organic crops to Mexico or selling organic crops within Mexico
  • Processors and manufacturers using organic ingredients in finished products
  • Traders, importers, and exporters managing organic product movement
  • Private label brands marketing organic products
  • Distributors, repackers, and handlers operating in the organic supply chain

LPO certification allows operators to use the official Mexican Organic seal and confirms that only substances permitted under LPO standards were used during production, an assurance that is increasingly important for international buyers. Certification also supports broader sustainability and market-access goals as Mexico strengthens oversight of its organic sector.

SCS de México brings extensive experience in organic certification worldwide, working with innovative agricultural producers and handlers to promote responsible practices. Companies may also streamline compliance by combining LPO certification with complementary services, including USDA National Organic Program certification, Non-GMO Project Verification, Sustainably Grown®, Fair Trade USA, and SCS Gluten-Free certification.
