AB “Ignitis grupė” (hereinafter – the Group) informs that its subsidiary AB “Energijos skirstymo operatorius” (hereinafter – ESO) is submitting its updated 2026–2035 investment plan (hereinafter – the Investment Plan) for public consultation (link).

Compared with the previous 2024–2033 investment plan, planned investments increase from EUR 3.5 billion to EUR 4.4 billion. This increase is mainly driven by additional investments in network resilience under the Action Plan for Electricity Network Resilience Measures approved by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and by the growing volume of new electricity customer connections. Most investments will be allocated to two strategic areas:

  1. Network resilience and modernisation. The aim is to ensure reliable, high-quality electricity and gas distribution and faster restoration of energy supply after disruptions. In forested areas, overhead lines are being replaced with underground cables; the overall target is to place 5,900 km of lines underground by 2030. The programme also includes renewing the ageing electricity network, maintaining the gas network, automating the electricity network, digitalising its operations and installing smart meters. EUR 2.27 billion is planned for this programme (EUR 564 million more than in the previous plan).
  2. New customers and renewable energy sources (hereinafter – RES). The aim is to connect new customers smoothly and integrate RES optimally while making full use of the existing infrastructure. Investments will support new electricity customer connections, increases in customers’ permitted capacity, and the connection of prosumers and producers to the distribution network. EUR 2.15 billion is planned for this programme (EUR 354 million more than in the previous plan).

ESO will finance the investments using its own and borrowed funds, European Union funding and funding from other sources. The Investment Plan is updated every two years and submitted to the National Energy Regulatory Council (hereinafter – NERC) for agreement in accordance with applicable legislation. Specific investment projects included in the Investment Plan will also be coordinated with NERC.

The investments set out in the Investment Plan are planned investments. Specific investment decisions, including their scope, implementation schedule and financing, will depend on regulatory approval, the availability of funding and other economic, legal and factual circumstances. Accordingly, publication of the Investment Plan does not constitute a final investment decision.

The public consultation period for the Investment Plan will be three weeks. If there are no material changes following agreement with NERC and approval of the final Investment Plan, no separate announcement will be published through the stock exchanges.

The information provided in this announcement does not affect the Group’s Adjusted EBITDA and Investments guidance for 2026.

Weekly Series Premiering October 30 Inspires Preschoolers to Imagine, Create and Explore with Play-Doh Compound

PAWTUCKET, R.I., Oct. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, today announced Play-Doh with Margo, a new original YouTube series that brings the hands-on creativity of the Play-Doh brand to digital entertainment for preschoolers. The official trailer is available now ahead of the series premiere on Friday, October 30.

Hosted by the playful and energetic Margo, the series uses songs, games and imaginative “What if…?” questions to inspire children to create alongside the show. Each episode explores a playful possibility, such as “What if pumpkins liked dressing up?,” “What if dragons didn’t breathe fire?” or “What if vegetables had superpowers?,” before encouraging viewers to bring the idea to life with Play-Doh compound.

“For generations, the Play-Doh brand has given children the freedom to imagine, experiment and bring their ideas to life,” said Kim Boyd, President of Licensing and Entertainment at Hasbro. “Play-Doh with Margo brings that creative spirit to entertainment, giving preschoolers a playful place to start and inviting them to get hands-on, make each creation their own and see where their imaginations take them.”

Each episode follows a recurring format that guides children from inspiration to creation. After Margo welcomes viewers, she discovers something that sparks the episode’s “What if…?” question and previews the featured creation during “The Unsquish.” She shapes the idea with Play-Doh compound in “Imaginoodle” and explores ways to customize it in “Switch-Up.” The “Can-Can Shuffle” then determines what comes next: a “Mission Make,” an upbeat “Silly Song” or a real-world “Exploration.” Finally, the finished creation comes to life in an animated short story.

The series currently has 42 episodes planned, with new installments rolling out weekly in five languages: English, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish. Fans can watch the trailer and new episodes of Play-Doh with Margo on the official Play-Doh YouTube channel.

For more information, follow the Play-Doh brand on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Hosted by award-winning filmmaker and entrepreneur Mike Smith, the program will premiere in December 2026; additional partnership opportunities are available.

Lincoln, Nebraska, Oct. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — GO FIND IT! Nebraska, a new 60-minute special produced by Lee Enterprises’ Brand Ave Studios, will take viewers across the state to explore the destinations, businesses and community stories that make Nebraska a place to discover.

Hosted by Mike Smith, an award-winning Nebraska filmmaker, entrepreneur, travel and adventure keynote speaker and founder of The Bay, the special will feature experiences across western, central and eastern Nebraska, including Scottsbluff/Gering, Chadron, Ogallala, North Platte, Kearney, Grand Island, Lincoln and Omaha.

The journey will showcase Nebraska’s range of attractions, from the distinctive landscapes of Toadstool Geologic Park and horseback adventures at Dusty Trails to Husker Harvest Days, Kearney’s Archway and live entertainment at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Along the way, Smith will meet the people behind the destinations and introduce viewers to experiences they can explore for themselves.

“A wise person once told me, there’s no such thing as boring places, only boring people,” Smith said. “And that’s why I’m here, to show you around a little bit. Take you to the places off the beaten path. Places you can’t find on Google Maps. Those places that only a local can show you.”

Smith said he is looking for untold Nebraska stories, especially the “weird, the hyper-local and the stubbornly authentic parts of the state that don’t make it into mainstream travel brochures.”

The special will also highlight Nebraska’s business community, including Chief Industries, CompanyCam and Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing. These features will explore how manufacturing, technology, agriculture, and entrepreneurship shape the state’s economy and communities.

GO FIND IT! Nebraska is presented by Kawasaki and LOVB Nebraska Volleyball. Other partners include: Chief Industries, CompanyCam, Elite Casino Resorts, Allo Fiber, The Archway, Visit North Platte, Chadron Community Hospital, Chadron State College, Vala’s, and others.

Pump & Pantry is the project’s Official Fuel Partner, supporting Smith and the production crew throughout their statewide travels.

Participating Lee Enterprises’ news organizations include the Scottsbluff Star-Herald, North Platte Telegraph, Kearney Hub, Grand Island Independent, Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World-Herald. A coordinated promotional campaign will support the premiere and chapter releases through digital advertising, print, social media, newsletters, video advertising and homepage placements.

“At Lee Enterprises, our tagline is ‘Where Your Story Lives.’ We tell those stories every day through our newspapers and digital platforms and Go Find It! Nebraska gives us an exciting new way to bring them to life and reach audiences far beyond our borders. I couldn’t imagine a better partner than Mike Smith to help us tell the story of this great state,” said Ava Thomas, regional vice president for Lee Enterprises.

The special is scheduled to premiere in December 2026 across Lee Enterprises’ Nebraska news websites and MikeSmithLive.com. Six individual chapters will follow in early 2027, accompanied by short-form videos and social content highlighting featured communities, businesses and experiences.

Additional partnership opportunities remain available for businesses, tourism organizations and community partners. Options include statewide partnerships, category partnerships and featured market opportunities. Depending on the package, participating organizations may receive program recognition, integration into relevant storytelling, companion video content and promotional exposure across Lee Enterprises’ Nebraska footprint.

Food and consumer goods manufacturers face growing pressure to reduce plastic packaging while maintaining speed, cost efficiency, and shelf appeal. For Meurer Verpackungssysteme GmbH, this meant designing entirely new secondary packaging machines capable of replacing plastic shrink-wrap with paper.

Since 1969, Meurer Verpackungssysteme GmbH has specialized in developing and manufacturing single machines and complete lines for end-of-line packaging. The company is one of the leading international manufacturers of film and carton packaging machines, as well as equipment for palletizing, buffer, and conveyor technology, with more than 13,500 machines installed worldwide.

Plastic shrink machines depend on heat tunnels that consume large amounts of energy and limit sustainability gains. Paper alternatives introduce new challenges around material handling, adhesion, reliability, and speed. At the same time, Meurer customers required solutions that fit existing footprints, matched upstream line speeds, and minimized investment risk.

Meurer developed two complementary paper-based multipack solutions: a paper sleeve solution for premium packaging and a low-material tape solution for cost-sensitive applications. The company needed a platform that could support rapid innovation, high-precision motion, and data-driven reliability while helping customers navigate a market that is still learning how to adopt new packaging formats.

By eliminating heat tunnels, the solutions achieved up to 90% lower energy consumption while maintaining the same footprint and speed as legacy plastic packaging machines.

Rockwell Automation technology helped make this level of performance possible. Modular programming based on the OMAC standard accelerated development and commissioning, even for machines with 18 synchronized axes. In addition, FactoryTalk® Optix™ provides built-in data visibility, helping operators and engineers monitor performance, diagnose issues, and optimize operations.

The new machine concepts delivered measurable benefits. Machine efficiency exceeded 99%, outperforming contract targets. Manufacturers also gained greater flexibility to meet sustainability goals with lower investment risk and a faster time to market for entirely new machine concepts. The solutions also maintained the same footprint and speed as legacy plastic packaging machines for easy replacement.

“We typically contract for 98% efficiency. But achieving more than 99% is a huge benefit when you calculate total output,” explains Matthias Look, Global Sales and Marketing Director, Meurer Verpackungssysteme.
