When information looks accessible—but isn’t

At first glance, medicine package inserts appear readable. They are printed, structured, and written in clear paragraphs. But for many deaf people, written medical information can quickly turn into a barrier.

“Deaf people can read; they’re not blind,” is a common assumption among hearing people. But reading does not always equal understanding—especially when the medical text becomes complex, abstract, or unfamiliar. Words like “dosage” or “contraindication” may be visible on the page, yet difficult to grasp.

Georg Tschare

The majority of deaf people in Germany have great difficulty understanding written language. They see the words, but the meaning stays locked.

Georg Tschare, Founder of SignTime, an Austrian company specializing in sign language translation

The gap begins early. A hearing child typically learns between 1,000 and 2,000 words simply by listening before the age of six. Deaf children do not have that same exposure—making complex written texts, especially medical ones, far harder to access later in life. When critical health information cannot be fully understood, access to care is no longer equal.

A different way to make meaning visible

This is where technology becomes a bridge—not a replacement for people, but a way to make meaning visible.

Since 2021, a sign language avatar has accompanied the package inserts for selected Boehringer Ingelheim products. For the Animal Health brand FRONTPRO®, pet owners can access it through a dedicated website where the avatar translates medical information into sign language. The avatar does not mirror sentences or translate word for word. Instead, it conveys meaning through gestures, facial expressions, and subtle nuances—communicating in the grammar and rhythm of sign language itself. Complex concepts are interpreted, not recited, ensuring the translation reflects the full context.

As the avatar explains how a medicine works, a video plays in the background showing application steps and the mechanism of action. Together, these visual layers reinforce understanding, support correct use, and help reduce the risk of medication errors.

The result is not simplification, but equivalence: medical information delivered in a form that is accurate, emotionally intelligible, and accessible on the user’s own terms.

Continuum-1, a Satellogic-built Earth Observation Satellite Acquired by HEO, has Completed Two Extended Proximity Operations Periods

PARIS, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL), the infrastructure company for Persistent Global Intelligence (PGI), today confirmed that its flight software ran the maneuvers behind the second phase of HEO’s Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) campaign, in which an Earth observation satellite held position around a derelict CZ-2C rocket body, the spent structural upper stage left behind in orbit after the launch of a Chinese Long March 2C orbital rocket, in low-Earth orbit for sustained, close-range inspection.

HEO Main Image

Continuum-1 is a Satellogic-built Earth observation satellite that HEO acquired from Satellogic in December 2025. It was designed to image Earth from several hundred kilometers up and carries an Earth-imaging camera and a fuel reserve sized for that job. After completing a three-maneuver sequence, Continuum-1 held position within 30 kilometers of the target during a first proximity period in August, then closed to within 27 kilometers during a second, closer period in late August and early September. HEO reported today that resolution improved from roughly 8 cm per pixel, shared from the first period, to as sharp as 7 cm per pixel during the second.

“Continuum-1 was built to observe Earth from about 500 kilometers away,” said Gonzalo Castillo, VP of Product & Customer Success at Satellogic. “Getting it to hold a sharp picture of something 27 kilometers away, which meant re-tuning the optical payload and the software behind it, demonstrates the flexibility of our platform to also serve Space Domain Awareness applications.”

This is the second public update on the campaign, following initial images it shared in early September. The campaign was conducted in partnership with HEO, which selected the target and led mission planning, and UNSW Canberra Space, which supported maneuver planning and ground-based tracking, with funding through Australia’s Defence Trailblazer program, while Satellogic was responsible for Mission Operations.

This is the latest proof point of the capabilities Satellogic can provide in support of sovereign missions. The campaign is a demonstration that Satellogic’s satellite fleet is capable of tasks well outside its original design brief, without new hardware or a dedicated mission build. As more infrastructure moves into orbit, that kind of software flexibility will become a sovereign requirement.

New Agreement Advances Autonomous, Low-Latency Intelligence Capabilities and Supports the Integration of Six Additional Earth Observation Satellites

PARIS, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL), the infrastructure company for Persistent Global Intelligence (PGI), today announced an expanded agreement with Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) in support of the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) Slingshot III program. The new work builds on Satellogic’s ongoing role in the Slingshot initiative and will advance faster, more autonomous production of track data, improved predictive planning, and new in-orbit operational capabilities.

Under the agreement, Satellogic will conduct a series of on-orbit activities and tests during 2027 and 2028. The work supports the integration of six new Satellogic NewSat Mark VI satellites into the Slingshot III architecture over the next 18 months, extending the program from proof-of-concept demonstrations toward operationally relevant capabilities.

The activities and testing will encompass enhanced onboard data processing, system feasibility checks, and automated data filtering. Together, these capabilities are designed to accelerate the creation of actionable track data and enable more responsive planning and execution across a distributed satellite system.

“This expanded work is a meaningful step in operationalizing the capabilities we have been proving through Slingshot,” said Emiliano Kargieman, Chief Executive Officer of Satellogic. “By combining high-resolution Earth observation, onboard processing, and inter-satellite communications, we are helping establish a new PGI infrastructure building block for real-time detection, autonomous tip-and-cue, and faster decision-making. We are proud to continue supporting IDT and the Office of Naval Research as they advance the use of commercial space technologies for mission-critical intelligence workstreams.”

Slingshot is an ONR research and development initiative that brings together commercial space capabilities to advance low-latency maritime domain awareness. Earlier phases of the program demonstrated how accelerated image processing, object classification, and track generation can be performed within low-latency requirements using commercial satellites and onboard software.

“This is about redefining the speed of national security,” said Bernie Gauf, IDT Chairman & CEO. “We took capabilities once limited to highly specialized government systems and proved they can be delivered via commercial platforms at the speed the mission demands. This is a leap forward in providing a critical advantage in maritime domain awareness.”

Satellogic’s NewSat Mark VI satellites are designed to extend these capabilities through inter-satellite link (ISL) technology. ISL-enabled satellites can share information across the constellation, creating the foundation for more autonomous workflows in which a detected change or object of interest can inform the tasking of a subsequent satellite without requiring every decision to pass through the ground. The architecture is intended to shorten the data-to-decision timeline and enhance the responsiveness of future missions.

The Slingshot III work also reflects the broader operational relevance of Satellogic’s PGI infrastructure. As the company expands its fleet with ISL-equipped satellites and onboard compute, it is building the capabilities required for a more connected, responsive infrastructure that can deliver timely, actionable insights at scale.

New functionality helps DSPs and agency planners create deterministic HCP and consumer audiences faster, using one single workflow

WALTHAM, Mass., Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — OptimizeRx Corp. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq: OPRX), a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions helping life sciences companies reach and engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients at the most important decision points has expanded its patent-pending, AI-powered Natural Language Audience Builder (NLAB) tool to allow media planners and buyers to build both claims-grade HCP audiences and privacy-safe direct-to-consumer (DTC) audiences in the same workflow, from a shared plain-language prompt.

This expansion adds OptimizeRx’s Micro-Neighborhood® Targeting (MNT) audiences to NLAB, transforming NLAB from an HCP audience-building solution into a platform-agnostic, no-code audience tool for comprehensive life sciences media planning. From a single patient audience description, marketers can create and optimize both NPI lists and consumer segments in minutes, and then seamlessly activate those audiences across programmatic and other major media channels.

Alongside the addition of MNT audiences, the expansion also adds new optimization and media planning functionality specific to the DTC landscape, including:

  • Decile-based, interactive breakdowns of audience quality (AQ) and reach, so planners can adjust audience precision and scale in real-time to reflect different campaign goals
  • Instant generation of media channel propensities and audience demographics for NLAB-created audiences or natural language audience prompts, so planners can create media mix strategies optimized for their specific brand populations

MNT audiences combine de-identified clinical and consumer data at the ZIP-9 level to create custom, privacy-safe, deterministic audiences with hyperlocal precision, providing a scalable alternative to modeled or probabilistic targeting. As a result of the NLAB integration, non-healthcare-native platforms or marketing agencies can now embed validated healthcare audience intelligence without investing in proprietary data or enterprise data licensing agreements.

“Life sciences marketers need audiences grounded in real healthcare behavior relevant to their brand, not generic segments or modelled proxies,” said Mike Rousselle, Chief AI Officer, OptimizeRx. “By bringing MNT into NLAB, we’re not only giving media planners a more streamlined way to build, refine, and activate consumer audiences, but also enabling the precision that can lead to higher marketing engagement and impact.”

“The more complexity NLAB removes for DSPs, agencies, and their life sciences clients, the easier it becomes to put sophisticated audience intelligence to work,” said Stephen Silvestro, CEO, OptimizeRx. “By making both HCP and consumer audiences available on demand, we can reduce friction for our partners and expand the role OptimizeRx plays across their planning and activation strategies.”

Vancouver, B.C., Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Rocket Doctor AI Inc. (CSE: AIDR, OTC: AIRDF, Frankfurt: 939) (“Rocket Doctor AI” or the “Company”), a physician-built, AI-powered healthcare technology company focused on empowering doctors and expanding access to high-quality care, is pleased to provide a brief pre-Town Hall operational update highlighting the Company’s progress in some of its key performance indicators for its United States operations during the first two months of the third quarter of 2026.

Following up on the Company’s announced Q2 2026 financial and operational results on September 1, 2026, and ahead of the global Company Town Hall (see details below and announced in a News Release on 9 September, 2026) scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, the Company is delighted to share further key recent operational metrics for its U.S. operations.

The objective of this interim update is to place this information in the public domain prior to the Town Hall.

Key U.S. Operational Milestones (July – August 2026)

  • Completed Patient Visits: Completed U.S. patient visits reached 3,625 for the two-month period ending August 31, 2026, representing 93% of the 3,911 completed visits recorded for the entire second quarter (3 months) of 2026.
  • Clinical Hours: U.S. clinical hours increased to 1,555 hours for the two months ending August 31, 2026, representing 78% of the 1,987.5 clinical hours recorded for the entire second quarter of 2026.

Revenue Recognition and Timing Lag

As detailed in the Company’s News Release dated September 1, 2026, it should be noted that because the Company currently recognizes certain U.S. revenues on a cash basis, there is a timing lag between the significant increase in patient visits and the corresponding recognition of revenue.

Further, as described in the Company’s interim Q2 Management’s Discussion and Analysis (“MD&A”), available under its profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca , the following should be noted:

(i) In connection with its U.S. operations, the Company distinguishes between in-network and out-of-network patients when determining reimbursement eligibility for patient visits conducted through its platform. For in-network patients, both the patient and the treating physician must be enrolled with the applicable insurance provider, Medicare, or Medicaid for a reimbursement claim to be eligible for payment. For out-of-network patients, the Company has made a strategic decision to permit access to its platform to drive adoption and expand its user base during this early stage of its U.S. market development.
(ii) While reimbursement for out-of-network visits is generally not expected, the Company will nonetheless submit claims on behalf of these visits where possible, as there remains a possibility that certain claims may be approved at the discretion of the payor.
(iii) Consistent with the Company’s overall revenue recognition policy for its U.S. operations, any amounts recovered in respect of out-of-network claims will only be recognized as revenue upon actual cash receipt, reflecting the heightened uncertainty of collection associated with these visits. Management will continue to evaluate its network coverage and payor relationships with a view to converting out-of-network patients and physicians to in-network status over time, which is expected to improve reimbursement rates and provide greater revenue visibility going forward.
