Premium pause inventory from DIRECTV Advertising, Philo and more available for activation through Nexxen SSP and leading DSPs, including Simpli.fi

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nexxen, the advertising technology platform powered by unique data and media, today announced that pause ads are now available to be transacted programmatically through its supply-side platform (“SSP”), Nexxen SSP. Enabling buy-side access from its demand-side platform (“DSP”), Nexxen DSP – as well as other leading DSPs, such as Simpli.fi – this expansion makes high-impact Connected TV (“CTV”) formats more actionable and scalable across the ecosystem.

Pause ads – non-intrusive, high-attention placements that appear when viewers pause content – have emerged as one of CTV’s most effective native formats; per eMarketer, audiences spanning generations prefer pause ads to frozen screens. Through partnerships with premium streaming publishers, including DIRECTV Advertising and Philo, advertisers can now activate these ads via streamlined, programmatic workflows within the Nexxen SSP. By opening this inventory to the Nexxen DSP as well as approved, third-party demand-side partners, including Simpli.fi, Nexxen is helping buyers access premium pause inventory within their existing platforms, reducing friction and expanding reach.

“When a viewer pauses content, they’re not tuning out, they’re leaning in – creating an opportunity for brands to show up natively and meaningfully, just as they do with Nexxen TV Home Screen units,” said Kara Puccinelli, Chief Commercial Officer, Nexxen. “By making pause inventory available and accessible, we’re enabling buyers to activate these premium formats within the workflows they already use, driving measurable impact in environments where audiences are fully engaged.”

“Pause ads have quickly become one of streaming’s most impactful formats,” said Aulden Kaye Yi, Head of Advertising Partnerships, Philo. “We’re proud to partner with Nexxen to make Philo’s premium pause inventory programmatically accessible, giving advertisers a seamless path to activate at scale.”

“Pause ads have evolved into a vital CTV strategy for brands seeking high-impact, locally relevant messaging. By bringing Nexxen’s pause inventory into the Simpli.fi platform, we’re enabling our clients to access premium inventory at scale while providing the experience they need to drive campaign performance,” said Michael Schoen, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Simpli.fi. “It’s another way Simpli.fi connects digital intent to real-world action, not only empowering brands to reach consumers in the moment, but allowing them to drive real business outcomes.”

However, these words are not the only way Nexxen identifies forward-looking statements. All statements contained in this press release that do not relate to matters of historical fact should be considered forward-looking statements, including without limitation statements regarding Nexxen’s programmatic access to pause ads. These statements are neither promises nor guarantees but involve known and unknown risks, uncertainties and other important factors that may cause Nexxen’s actual results, performance or achievements to be materially different from its expectations expressed or implied by the forward-looking statements, including, but not limited to, the following: negative global economic conditions, including risks related to tariff impacts or policy shifts that could materially affect market sentiment, consumer behavior and advertising demand; global and local economic and geopolitical forces and unrest, including the war involving the United States, Israel and Iran, the war and hostilities involving Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Yemen and the Ukraine/Russia war, and how those conditions may adversely impact Nexxen’s business, customers, and the markets in which Nexxen competes. At Griffith Foods, we believe that food should nourish people while supporting a more sustainable future. Developing a nutritious and sustainable portfolio that supports a healthier diet is central to how we partner with our customers—and it’s why we were proud to contribute to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s (WBCSD) recent research, “The Case for Accelerating Corporate Performance & Accountability for Healthy and Sustainable Diets.”

The WBCSD research highlights a clear evolution in expectations for food companies, going beyond environmental disclosure to include nutrition-related topics. Stakeholders are no longer focused solely on how food is produced, but increasingly on how product portfolios contribute to healthier and more sustainable diets. Topics such as nutrition governance, portfolio healthiness, responsible marketing, and protein diversification are becoming essential elements of corporate accountability across the sector.

At the same time, the research points to a significant disclosure gap. Despite growing attention on nutrition and dietary outcomes, public reporting remains uneven, with fewer than 20% of food companies providing consistent transparency on key nutrition related topics. This gap represents an opportunity for companies to use clearer, more consistent reporting as a driver for portfolio improvement and ‑long-term‑ value creation.

The report also underscores why action is urgent. Expanding nutrition labeling requirements, evolving regulatory frameworks, and increasing investor recognition of nutrition as a material issue are accelerating expectations for measurable accountability. Together, these forces signal a shift from voluntary commitments toward more decision‑useful, comparable information on how companies are shaping healthier and more sustainable diets. https://www.wbcsd.org/news/the-case-for-accelerating-corporate-performance-accountability-for-healthy-sustainable-diets/

Griffith Foods’ contribution to this research reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration. By engaging in industry‑wide efforts to strengthen metrics and reporting, we aim to support the development of food portfolios that meet both nutritional needs and sustainability goals—today and into the future.

We believe that transparency, collaboration, and shared accountability are essential to building food systems that deliver positive impacts for people and planet alike.

Initial Deployment at Detroit VA Medical Center Expands Omni One into Veteran Healthcare for Therapeutic Applications

Sale Provides Potential Pathway to VA Immersive Network Spanning More Than 145 Facilities Nationwide

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Virtuix Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VTIX), a leading developer of AI-driven, full-body simulation systems, today announced the sale of Omni One systems to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (“VA”). The systems will be deployed at the Valor Center at the VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, for evaluation and potential use across therapeutic applications and holistic health programs.

The initial deployment introduces Omni One into the nation’s largest integrated healthcare system and represents an important milestone in Virtuix’s expansion into healthcare and therapeutic applications. Through its established “VA Immersive” program, the VA is already deploying virtual reality and other immersive technologies across a range of clinical applications, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, pain management, and occupational therapy.

Virtuix believes the initial VA deployment could represent a significant long-term opportunity for Omni One. VA Immersive has expanded to more than 145 VA facilities nationwide, with a stated goal of reaching all interested VA healthcare systems.

“Our first sale to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the largest healthcare system in the U.S., is an important milestone in Virtuix’s expansion into healthcare,” said Jan Goetgeluk, Founder, Chairman and CEO. “The VA has been a leader in adopting immersive technologies to improve care for Veterans, and we’re proud of the potential for our technology to help Veterans. Beyond the initial deployment in Detroit, we believe the VA healthcare system represents a meaningful long-term opportunity for our platform.”

The VA deployment follows recent Omni One installations at leading academic institutions exploring the platform for healthcare and therapeutic applications. Florida Gulf Coast University’s Marieb College of Health & Human Services is evaluating Omni One for occupational therapy and neurological rehabilitation. Rutgers University’s WINLAB has deployed Omni One for AI-assisted neurodivergent therapy, including autism therapy applications for children.

Virtuix’s expansion into the VA healthcare system comes alongside growing momentum in the U.S. defense sector, with programs and deployments spanning all four major branches of the U.S. military. Recent milestones include selection by the U.S. Air Force for Phase I funding through the AFWERX SBIR program to advance its Virtual Terrain Walk platform; sales to the U.S. Navy MWR program; appointment as lead systems integrator for a U.S. Marine Corps infantry fireteam trainer; integration of Omni One into a counter-drone training system being evaluated by the Marine Corps; sales to the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Air National Guard, and Yokota Air Base in Japan; and a cooperative research and development agreement with the U.S. Navy. Together, these initiatives demonstrate the growing adoption of Virtuix’s AI-driven, full-body simulation technology across a broad range of military training, mission planning, and simulation applications.
