Providing universal access for developers, the card installs in a desktop, workstation, industrial PC or single-board computer

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BrainChip Holdings Ltd. (ASX: BRN, OTCQX: BRCHF, ADR: BCHPY), a global leader in ultra-low power, fully digital, event-based neuromorphic AI, announced the AKD1500 PCIe development card, an ultra-low power PCIe card with self-learning capability that delivers silicon evaluation to any desktop or industrial PC.

Built on BrainChip’s AKD1500 Edge AI Co-Processor, the AKD1500 PCIe card installs in a standard PCIe slot in a desktop, workstation, industrial PC or single-board computer, and runs models built in existing frameworks. It is available for purchase now through BrainChip’s online store.

The launch means BrainChip’s AKD1500 chip is available in every form an engineering team needs to build and test edge AI applications: an evaluation card, a deployable M.2 module, packaged/unpackaged silicon and intellectual property (IP) a chip team can license.

It also means Akida can sit in a server anywhere and be tested as part of a team’s development pipeline. Any developer with a PC can now validate Akida with their own models using their own streaming data; a model validated on the card runs on the deployed hardware without change.

“Our customers no longer have to choose between proving out neuromorphic AI and productizing it,” said Sean Hehir, CEO of BrainChip. “Akida is available in every form they need — from card to IP —turning a technology into a complete roadmap for adoption.”

Universal Access Is the BrainChip Advantage

From a low-cost PCIe developer card to M.2 modules, NICLA/Arduino boards, silicon, die and Akida IP cores for custom ASICs, BrainChip’s complete product line puts neuromorphic computing within reach at every stage.

“The first challenge in evaluating new AI architectures is getting your hands on silicon and tools,” said Steve Brightfield, chief product officer of BrainChip. “If you have a PC with a spare slot, you can be running your own models on Akida this afternoon — and what you execute on that card seamlessly carries through to a module, a chip or IP in your own SoC design. The line of adoption is complete.”

BrainChip’s completion of universal access is well-timed given the increase in the number of edge devices incorporating edge AI silicon, such as industrial sensors, cameras, robots and wearables.

ABi Research’s 2Q 2026 market update estimates the edge AI chipset market at $34.4 billion in 2026, growing to $96 billion by 2031, with unit shipments more than doubling from 711 million to 1.59 billion.

Edge devices demand intelligence that runs on a fraction of a watt without a fan or a cloud connection, and they must keep learning once deployed. That is precisely the class of design for which Akida was built; now every team building one can validate it themselves.

The AKD1500 PCIe card launch builds on BrainChip’s industry-leading momentum, which includes production of the AKD1500 chip and launch of the M.2 module over the past two months.

The AKD1500 PCIe card is available for purchase through BrainChip’s online store, with open tools and model library without subscription or license fees.

CRC Sharpens Its Focus on California

LONG BEACH, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — California Resources Corporation (NYSE: CRC) today announced the signing of an agreement to divest its Uinta Basin assets to an undisclosed buyer for total cash consideration of approximately $90 million, subject to customary purchase price adjustments. The transaction further aligns CRC’s portfolio with its California operations and captures additional value from non-core assets acquired through the Berry merger. CRC expects to use the net proceeds for shareholder returns and other corporate purposes.

“Today’s transaction strengthens our business. The monetization of our Uinta Basin assets sharpens our focus on California and captures additional value from the Berry merger,” said Francisco Leon, CRC President and Chief Executive Officer. “This transaction enhances our capital allocation flexibility, allowing us to invest in higher-return opportunities within the Golden State and supports our shareholder return strategy. The sale also helps offset the purchase price of our recent midstream transaction.”

The transaction has an effective date of July 1, 2026. Closing is subject to the receipt of certain third-party consents and other customary conditions, and is expected by year end. Following the closing of the transaction, CRC expects to provide additional financial and operating guidance.

September 17, 2026 /3BL/ – DP World has received the Empresa con Gestión Sostenible (EGS) recognition for the 13th consecutive year, highlighting the company’s long-term approach to sustainable business and its environmental, social, and governance performance in Peru.

Awarded by Perú Sostenible, a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainable development in Peru and represents the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) locally, EGS assesses companies against environmental, social, and governance criteria and international sustainability standards.

DP World received the 2025 recognition in the “Merit” category and was the only port terminal operator in Peru recognized in this edition. Overall, 67 companies representing 26 industries met the program’s sustainability criteria.

Carlos Merino, CEO of DP World in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, said: “Receiving this recognition for the 13th consecutive year reflects the commitment of our teams to making sustainability part of how we operate and invest for the future. From reducing emissions at our terminal to creating educational opportunities in Callao, our focus is on delivering meaningful progress for our customers, communities, and the environment.”

Sustainability in Action in Peru

The recognition builds on several sustainability milestones at DP World’s South Pier terminal in Callao. In August, the terminal became the first in Latin America to offer shore power, allowing vessels to connect to renewable electricity while docked instead of running auxiliary engines.

DP World has also introduced Latin America’s first charging station for electric terminal trucks in Callao, supporting the transition from diesel-powered equipment to electric alternatives and reducing emissions from day-to-day port operations.

The company’s sustainability work extends beyond the terminal. Earlier this year, DP World invested approximately US$49,000 to create digital classrooms and computer laboratories at two schools in Callao, improving access to technology for 790 primary and secondary students.

At Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, DP World installed 11 digital classrooms and a computer laboratory, benefiting 322 secondary students directly and another 273 primary students. At Dos de Mayo, a new computer laboratory is supporting 195 primary students with improved technology and learning facilities.

The investment builds on DP World’s wider support for education in Callao, where the company has been improving educational spaces since 2020. It also builds on its Academic Excellence Awards, which recognize employees’ children for outstanding academic performance.

From cleaner port operations to stronger educational opportunities in Peru, these efforts reflect DP World’s broader approach to sustainability: supporting trade while creating long-term value for the communities and environments connected to its operations.

DENVER, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — (247marketnews.com) — NeOnc Technologies (NASDAQ: NTHI) just removed a potentially significant overhang from its capital structure, redeeming all 6,000 outstanding shares of Series A Convertible Preferred Stock for $6 million in cash, with zero common shares issued in the process.

The move comes only days after NeOnc announced a $15 million registered direct offering, creating a notable one-two punch: fresh capital for the clinical-stage biotech while simultaneously eliminating a preferred security that could have converted into common stock at a substantial discount. The company said the financing was specifically structured to support the redemption.

“We made a deliberate decision to redeem the Series A Preferred Stock in cash and eliminate the potential dilution these securities represented for our shareholders,” CEO and Executive Chairman Amir F. Heshmatpour said.

The timing is particularly notable because the preferred stock’s conversion terms could have become more consequential. Issued in June for $5 million in gross proceeds, the Series A shares carried a four-month cash-redemption window. Had NeOnc not redeemed them, the stated value would have increased and holders could have elected to convert into common stock at 80% of the lowest closing price during the preceding five trading days, subject to a $1 floor.

Instead, NeOnc has effectively shut that door.

The company isn’t making the capital-structure cleanup in isolation. NeOnc is entering the next phase of its CNS cancer story with two clinical programs moving forward. NEO100 recently delivered topline Phase 2a results in recurrent IDH1-mutant high-grade glioma, with the company reporting six-month progression-free survival of 48.9% versus a prespecified 20% benchmark and median overall survival of 26.09 months.

Meanwhile, NEO212 has completed Phase 1 dose escalation, established a recommended Phase 2 dose of 610 mg, and received UAE IND authorization as NeOnc expands its international development pathway.

That puts the latest preferred-stock redemption into a larger narrative: NeOnc is attempting to simplify its capitalization while pushing its drug pipeline toward increasingly important clinical and regulatory milestones.

“We are focused on translating clinical progress into lasting value for patients and shareholders,” Heshmatpour said.

NEO100 and NEO212 remain investigational programs, but the capital-structure move is clear: NeOnc chose to eliminate a potential source of discounted-share conversion before it became available.

For investors watching NeOnc, the story is therefore shifting from simply raising money to how efficiently that capital can be deployed against an advancing CNS oncology pipeline, with one potentially dilutive security now off the table.
