Envalior’s key innovations on display at K 2025 include:

  • A game-changing halogen-free flame-retardant Pocan® PBT grade that combines the advantages of PBT and polyamide 6 and 66. It is ideal for connectors in ultra-fast EV charging stations with an 800-volt power supply and DC-supplied systems for AI data centers, to name just two application areas. It exhibits the strengths typical of PBT, such as high dimensional stability, low propensity for electrochemical corrosion, and excellent electrical insulation behavior at higher temperatures – while offering high levels of hydrolysis resistance, creep resistance, and elongation at break, comparable to those of polyamide 6 and 66.
  • The newly expanded highly tracking-resistant Pocan® E portfolio, enabling the creation of safer high-CTI components that meet the growing electrical and mechanical demands of E&E components in e-mobility and industrial applications. Materials in the range demonstrate outstanding tracking resistance, achieving the highest rating of 600 in the CTI A test (even in black).
  • Stanyl

    ®

PA46 to create some of the industry’s thinnest thermoplastic stator insulation for power tools, allowing for enhanced power and efficiency in electric motors without increasing their outer dimensions. A full range of Stanyl® solutions for smaller and lighter Wear & Friction applications (gears, bearings, seals, etc.), including PFAS-freeStanyl® grades, is also available.

  • The Arnitel® TPC product range features new thermoplastic copolyester foaming grades for shoe midsoles, improving performance and providing longer-lasting results. It offers broad compatibility with different foaming technologies, supporting application flexibility. Bio-based midsole solutions will also be on display, helping to reduce product carbon footprints.

A sustainable portfolio of bio- and/or recycled-based alternatives

With the recent launch of the Envalior CARES sustainability strategy, the company clearly demonstrates how it supports its customers in meeting their sustainability ambitions and reduces the environmental impact of its own operations. A core element is the commitment to offer an entire portfolio of bio- and/or recycled-based solutions by 2030. These will be featured at the Envalior booth, with innovative materials made from sources such as used fishing nets, cooking oil, and industrial glass fiber waste.

These include:

  • Drop-in alternatives that help to reduce the carbon footprint of products without compromising performance or requiring major process changes. For example, Envalior’s new Durethan® ECO and Durethan® BLUE PA6 grades for E&E applications (such as Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) or connectors) contain up to 90% ISCC PLUS-certified bio-based and recycled content by mass balance attribution.
  • Durethan Blue

    ®

PA6-based sausage casing where the PA6 is derived from ISCC PLUS-certified bio-circular feedstock (used cooking oil) and has a very low carbon footprint, and Arnitel®TPC micro-perforated breathable film for fresh food packaging that significantly extends product shelf life.

  • An all-polyamide, fully recyclable Type IV hydrogen storage tank, made with Envalior’s Durethan® or Akulon®PA6, combined with its EcoPaXX®PA410 and UDea thermoplastic composite tape – overcoming traditional barriers to circularity for an improved product life cycle assessment.
  • Halogen-free, PFAS-free flame-retardant Pocan® PBT grades, adding enhanced compliance credentials to Pocan’s exceptional electrical and fire safety properties.

CALGARY, AB, Oct. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ – In response to a speech given by Governor Tiff Macklem of the Bank of Canada in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Sept. 23, 2025, Friends of Science Society have issued an open letter to him, challenging Macklem’s claims that Canadians just have to “roll up their sleeves.”  The presentation to the Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership and the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce explored the shifting multi-polar nature of global trade, but did not reflect the realities facing Canadian businesses, Friends of Science Society claimed, including the impending risk of Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and renewed carbon taxes.

In a Jan. 30, 2025, press release, Friends of Science Society advised Canadians that the federal government was pushing for alignment with the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).  Former federal public servant and diplomat, Robert Lyman, had warned at the time that such a move would be seen as “a red flag to the Trump administration bull.”   Likewise, CBAM requires a price on carbon as well as onerous, expensive, double-verified emissions reporting.  In Canada, Prime Minister Mark Carney zero-ed the consumer facing carbon tax once in office, but he did not cancel it.

On Sept. 30, 2025, just days after Macklem’s presentation, CNBC reported that global trade would be shaken up when the world’s first carbon border tax goes live in the European Union on Jan. 01, 2026.

Another key point of contention is that Macklem has been quick to frame the current tariff issues with the US as a “trade war” but neither he nor the Bank of Canada have ever recognized the ~30 year-long foreign and domestic-funded Tar Sands Campaign against the Alberta oil sands, which has done significant reputational and economic damage to all of Canada.  The Tar Sands Campaign green trade war is documented in Friends of Science Society’s 2019 report “Fear and Loathing; The Alberta Oil Sands – from national pride to international pariah.

Retired energy economist, Robert Lyman, also criticized Macklem’s speech in a commentary titled “Elbows Up and Roll Up Your Sleeves,” posted on Friends of Science Society’s blog.

As UK energy analyst Tammy Nemeth writes in a Real Clear Energy article of Oct. 1, 2025, the EU is also imposing strict corporate emissions reporting guidelines, known as Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, or “CS3D.”  Nemeth points out that, “The promise of CS3D was always predicated on the notion that Europe, and multinational businesses, could afford to bear the cost of being the world’s climate conscience.”

As BBC reported on Oct. 1, 2025, at the “Raising Hopes” conference at Castel Gondolfo near Rome, Pope Leo XIV condemned climate change critics, as participants celebrated the 10th anniversary of “Laudato Si,” written by Pope Francis, creating climate change as a centerpiece of Catholic concerns.

An Oct. 13, 2023, report by the Heritage Foundation indicates that 80% of solar panels made in China involve slave labour; China is the dominant producer of solar panels.

Roger Pielke, Jr. and Justin Ritchie have shown that over 15 years RCP 8.5 and other pathways climate scenarios have been misused.  This has led people to believe there is a climate emergency, when that is not true, says Friends of Science Society.

In the Open Letter to Governor Macklem, as shown by Ken Gregory, Friends of Science Society’s research director, when properly calculated, the Social “Cost” of Carbon (which is used to set carbon taxes), actually becomes a Social “Benefit” of Carbon.  Rather than a staggering $800/t Shadow Price on Carbon for Net Zero 2050, as outlined by the NGFS, “…the SCC is calculated by FUND to be about US-$13.07 per tonne CO2 at a 3% discount rate and about US-$7.28 per tonne CO2 at a 5% discount rate. That is, CO2 emissions are currently quite net beneficial. This finding is significantly different from the estimates used by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and calls into question virtually all of the expenditures made by governments and industry in Canada to reduce emissions.”

About
Friends of Science Society is an independent group of earth, atmospheric and solar scientists, engineers, and citizens that is celebrating its 23rd year of offering climate science insights. After a thorough review of a broad spectrum of literature on climate change, Friends of Science Society has concluded that the sun is the main driver of climate change, not carbon dioxide (CO2).

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — A local couple has donated almost five acres with a 6,300-square-foot home and a flourishing botanical garden to California Baptist University.

The property, located just blocks from CBU, includes a house, barn, pool and pickleball/tennis court. The donation from Frank and Lucy Heyming represents a $5.3 million gift to the university.

“A lot of the top universities have their own botanical garden, and we knew that CBU didn’t. It just made sense with CBU being so close,” Frank Heyming said.

When the Heymings bought the property in 1995, it featured eucalyptus and palm trees, but not much else. The following year, they replanted the dead orchard with more than 80 citrus and stone fruit trees. Over time, their vision expanded. When Frank wanted to install a fountain in front of the house, friends offered landscaping suggestions. In 2004, the Heymings became master gardeners and also drew inspiration from their travels. Today, the Grand Arbor garden features themed areas including cactus, succulent, rose, butterfly and zones representing the four seasons. They also built a stream, a Zen garden and a vegetable garden.

Over the years, the couple has allowed charitable organizations to hold events in the barn and on the property.

“Frank and Lucy’s philanthropic spirit shines through everything they do,” said Dr. Ronald L. Ellis, president of CBU. “Their generosity and unwavering commitment to Riverside reflect a deep-rooted spirit of philanthropy that inspires us all. We are profoundly grateful for their support.”

The house itself has a rich history. Built in 1916 by Alvin Untermyer, a lawyer and polo player, it originally sat on 27 acres. In 1929, Earle and Vida Halliburton bought the property and expanded the house to accommodate their five children. Over the years, the property changed hands several times, with rooms rented out and the house even serving as a nursing home.

The botanical garden, consisting of 345 trees of 151 varieties, also showcases some of Frank’s sculptures. A former real estate broker, he began sculpting after he retired in 2012. He donated one piece to CBU in 2018; “Inspiration” is located between the Wallace Theatre and the Alumni Dining Commons.

“The garden is a labor of love. We enjoyed doing it,” Frank Heyming said. “It was fun because it was something we designed piece by piece. And that was part of our motivation in giving it to CBU. We wanted to see the botanical garden remain for the community.”

The couple made pathways through the garden’s various areas and allowed their neighbors and friends to walk through.

“People say it’s so peaceful,” Lucy Heyming said. “I feel like that is a godly thing for people to have. People need peace. People need to be near nature.”

Additionally, the couple sold two properties to CBU at below market value. CBU later sold one, generating $400,000 as an endowment gift, which CBU matched. The Heymings then contributed more gifts, which CBU also matched. These gifts and the CBU match have created a $1.2 million endowment to support the garden.

CBU is still deciding how to best use the property, but one thing is certain – the garden will be around for generations, and the rest of the property will ultimately be used to further the mission of CBU.

“Frank and Lucy’s generosity speaks volumes about their character and love for this community,” said Paul Eldridge, vice president for University Advancement. “They’re remarkable individuals and pillars of Riverside, and their impact will be felt for generations.”

Frank worked in real estate and property management for 40 years and is well known throughout the greater Riverside area. A sculptor, artist and philanthropist, he is known for donating his sculptures to local institutions, including CBU and the University of California Riverside Botanic Gardens. Both Frank and Lucy are UCR alums. Frank has been active with local organizations including the Rotary Club of Riverside, Victoria Avenue Forever, Rivers and Lands Conservancy and the Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee. Lucy is a Master Gardener and artist in her own right. The couple has six children and 14 grandchildren.

Fueling Animals, Fueling Hope

KIMBERLY, Idaho, Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — For millions of people and families, breast cancer is a fight that touches every part of life. This October, Standlee Premium Western Forage® is proud to launch its 5th annual breast cancer awareness initiative: Grab & Go® to Give, a campaign rooted in community, hope, and action. For the first time ever, Standlee’s iconic green Grab & Go bales are turning pink. This is not just a color change, but a symbol of solidarity with those impacted by breast cancer.

The pink bales, featuring limited-edition packaging, have been distributed to retailers across the country, spreading awareness from coast to coast. When you choose a pink Grab & Go bale, you’re not only fueling your animals with the same high-quality forage you’ve always trusted – you’re also fueling the fight against breast cancer.

“Supporting the fight against breast cancer has long been part of who we are at Standlee,” said Jessica Wright, VP of Marketing. “Each year, we are reminded that this battle affects the people standing right beside us, in our own barns, homes, and communities. These pink bales are a reminder that together, we can fight for a future without breast cancer.”

This year’s milestone marks five consecutive years of Standlee’s commitment to the cause. Previous campaigns have spotlighted personal stories of resilience and inspired the equine community nationwide to join in the fight against breast cancer.

Funds from this year’s campaign will support the following organizations:

  • Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) – Funding innovative research to prevent and cure breast cancer worldwide.
  • Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) – Providing education, resources, and a supportive community for people affected by breast cancer.
  • Riding Beyond – Offering equine-assisted programs that promote healing and empowerment for women facing cancer.
  • Rural Gone Urban Foundation – Providing judgment-free grants and financial support to women battling breast cancer, empowering them to make memories and invest in legacies for themselves and their families.
  • Horses and Hope – Supporting medically underserved individuals, especially those in the Kentucky horse industry and beyond, through education, screening, and support to help with early detection and care.

Join the movement: every pink Grab & Go bale purchased helps support these organizations and the people they serve. Together, we can stand stronger in the fight to wrap up breast cancer, one bale at a time.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y., Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — On Monday, September 15, 2025, the Community-Police Relations Foundation (CPR Foundation), in partnership with Broadstreet Global as the Presenting Sponsor, hosted its Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Trump National Golf Club Westchester, bringing together community leaders, law enforcement, business executives, and philanthropists in a powerful show of solidarity and support for safer and more unified communities.

Now in its second year, the event reflects the continued vision of Founder and CEO Al Eskanazy, to strengthen ties between police and the community. Over 160 participants teed off for the cause, enjoying an 18-hole tournament with dynamic on-course activations, friendly competitions, and interactive contests designed to support initiatives that improve relations between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Guests were also treated to a gourmet lunch, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner featuring networking, an awards ceremony, and both live and silent auctions.

A highlight during the dinner was the recognition of three distinguished public servants whose work embodies the spirit of community service. Mount Vernon Police Chief Marcel Olifiers and NYPD Chaplain Frank Chiaramonte were each presented with a commemorative watch to honor their unwavering dedication to the community. Their leadership and commitment to bridging divides were celebrated with heartfelt applause. Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard was also recognized for her steadfast support of law enforcement and community engagement. In her remarks, the Mayor spoke about the impact the CPR Foundation is making in her community, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between civic leaders and community-driven organizations.

“When officers and community leaders share the same fairway, it creates an impact that transcends a single event,” said Glenn Hechler, Vice President of the Board for the CPR Foundation. “This Tournament showcased the power of our Foundation’s work and its ability to bring people together in an exciting, yet meaningful way.”

Proceeds from the event will support the CPR Foundation’s outreach efforts, initiatives, and programs including law enforcement-led youth athletics and mentorship, back-to-school and food distribution events for families in need, and mental health support for officers. These activities are part of the Foundation’s broader mission to foster a stronger connection between law enforcement and the communities they serve by facilitating positive interactions that build unity, trust, and understanding.

“Events like this Tournament demonstrate the real impact the CPR Foundation creates by giving community members the opportunity to build genuine relationships for a common cause,” said Joseph Baldassarra, President of Broadstreet Global. “Broadstreet Global is proud to support an organization that understands how these connections translate into safer, stronger, and more unified communities.”

In addition to Broadstreet Global, this year’s Tournament was made possible by the generous support of numerous sponsors who share the Foundation’s commitment to community impact. To view the full list of sponsors, please visit: https://www.communitypolicerelationsfoundation.org/golf-1
