• Honda to support farmers across the U.S. in adopting regenerative agriculture practices through Carbon by Indigo program

  • Regenerative agriculture improves soil health, removes carbon from the atmosphere and conserves water

  • Honda is supporting 1,800 metric tons of soil carbon removals as a step toward its decarbonization goals

TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Honda today announced that it has joined Carbon by Indigo, a leading program to help farmers across the U.S. adopt regenerative agriculture practices to improve soil health, capture carbon and increase their profitability. As part of its broader commitment to decarbonization, Honda is purchasing soil carbon removal credits through Carbon by Indigo, resulting in the removal of 1,800 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Learn how regenerative agriculture is making a difference for farmers at https://honda.us/farmers.

Honda’s investment in the soil carbon project supports farmers across the U.S., including farmers near Honda operations.

Carbon by Indigo produces high-quality agricultural soil carbon credits in the U.S., providing farmers with opportunities to increase profitability while building soil health and long-term resilience. Participating farmers learn, adopt and expand regenerative practices tailored to their crop systems and local conditions, such as planting cover crops, reducing tillage, diversifying crop rotations and optimizing nitrogen application. These practices boost soil health, reduce surface water runoff and enhance air quality. As farmers implement and maintain these methods, they generate soil carbon credits by capturing carbon in the soil.

While water dynamics are highly local and field-specific, the practices in this project on average conserved approximately 69,000 gallons of water for every metric ton of carbon removed. Honda’s investment in the soil carbon project supports farmers across the U.S., including approximately 150 farmers near Honda operations in Alabama, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio and South Carolina, empowering them to adopt regenerative practices on a combined 214,000 acres of farmland. All credits in the Carbon by Indigo program have been independently verified by Aster Global Environmental Solutions and issued by the Climate Action Reserve, a trusted, high-quality carbon credit registry.

“For over 40 years, Honda has supported farmers near our Ohio operations through conservation programs that protect farmland and help expand access to markets for their crops,” said Mahjabeen Qadir, sustainability strategy lead at Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC. “Now, Honda is building on that history by supporting regenerative agriculture practices that help farmers manage climate challenges and maintain healthy farmland for future generations.”

“Indigo proudly works with companies like Honda to take action on achieving their climate goals while creating impact for the communities in which they operate,” said Dean Banks, CEO of Indigo Ag. “The Carbon by Indigo program builds prosperity from the ground up, with tangible benefits for local communities and their environment: cleaner air and water, more resilient soil and crop production, additional income for farmers and their families, and a legacy of stewardship across generations.”

Honda aims to decarbonize its products and operations and use high-quality offsets only for the remaining greenhouse gas emissions that could not be eliminated. To advance this decarbonization goal, Honda has implemented the following initiatives:

For more information about how Honda is reducing the environmental impact of its products and operations, visit https://www.honda.com/environment.

About the Honda Commitment to the Environment
Based on its longstanding commitment to the environment, Honda is working to reduce the environmental impact of its products and operations in three critical action areas: decarbonization, reducing CO2 emissions from all products and corporate activities; clean energy, using carbon-free energy sources; and resource circularity, maximizing the use of recycled and biomass materials, and converting end-of-life products back into raw materials for reuse in the supply chain.

Honda is striving to make battery-electric and fuel cell-electric vehicles represent 100% of auto sales globally by 2040, with a near-term focus on increasing sales of hybrid-electric vehicles, while also beginning the electrification of Honda powersports and power equipment product lineups. To reduce the environmental impact of its business operations, Honda is sourcing renewable energy to address CO2 emissions from its North American operations through long-term virtual power purchase agreements (VPPAs) for carbon-free wind and solar power that cover more than 80% of the electricity Honda uses in North America.

Honda efforts also focus on decarbonization of its operations, including offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities and supporting its suppliers and independent dealerships across North America in their decarbonization efforts through the Honda Green Excellence Academy and Honda Environmental Leadership Program, respectively.

GoLocker is providing over 63 convenient, easy-to-use locker locations for New Yorkers to drop
off toy donations.

NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Today, GoLocker, New York City’s dedicated distribution and access point provider announced a partnership with Toys for Hospitalized Children (TFHC) to transform its network of neighborhood lockers into donation hubs, expanding the reach of TFHC’s annual toy drive by making 63 collection sites available to donors across Manhattan.

Through this collaboration, GoLocker locations across the city will serve as convenient drop-off points for new, unwrapped toys, helping TFHC reach its goal of collecting over 25,000 toys to support 80 children’s hospitals and medical facilities nationwide. Some of the local facilities whose patients will receive toys include The Children’s Hospital of Montefiore, The Brooklyn Hospital Center, Bellevue Hospital, Queens Hospital Center, Kings County Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center, NYU Langone – Long Island, and more.

Each donation will be tracked via a special GoLocker code, and GoLocker’s team will coordinate weekly deliveries to TFHC’s headquarters, ensuring toys are distributed efficiently and on schedule. A directory of city-wide dropoff sites can be found here, and account signup instructions are detailed within this video.

“This time last year, we expanded our partnership with the City through the DOT LockerNYC initiative, bringing free, secure lockers to neighborhoods across New York,” said Nigel Thomas, Founder of GoLocker. “This season, we’re building on that foundation by expanding how those lockers serve the community, opening them up as donation sites to support local toy drives and families spending the holidays in hospitals. It’s a small way we can help neighbors help one another, and we’re committed to finding new ways each year to support the communities we’re part of in a city as dynamic and diverse as New York.”

For TFHC, which traditionally relies on a mix of corporate partnerships and local community efforts to reach its annual donation target, GoLocker’s network of drop-off locations represents a powerful new way to engage donors and streamline collections. With lockers embedded in retail centers and local businesses across Manhattan, GoLocker’s network makes it convenient for New Yorkers to participate in the drive with just a short walk from home or while completing their everyday errands.

“This partnership is about meeting generosity where it already exists, in the heart of every neighborhood,” said Rabbi JJ Hecht II, President and Executive Director of Toys for Hospitalized Children. “GoLocker’s support helps us engage more donors and ensure more children receive a moment of joy and hope when they need it most. We are excited about the prospect of exceeding our donation goal this season with the help of GoLocker.”

Beyond supporting TFHC’s mission, this collaboration illustrates the power of leveraging everyday infrastructure to create opportunities for giving back. By connecting people with causes that matter, GoLocker is setting the stage for future initiatives that combine technology with community-centered impact, helping bring meaningful change to neighborhoods across the city.

Beginning today, New Yorkers can sign up for a free GoLocker account and drop off toys at all GoLocker locations throughout the city. All toys will be delivered directly to children spending their holiday season in hospitals and medical facilities nationwide.

STOCKHOLM, Nov. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Husqvarna Group today presents the Urban Green Space Insights (HUGSI) Report 2025, which uses AI and satellite data to measure green spaces in cities worldwide. The report reveals that the 516 cities analyzed have lost green areas equivalent to nearly the size of Paris. In contrast, the Nordic region stands out as a green hub, hosting some of the greenest cities globally.

Since 2019, Husqvarna Group’s HUGSI has provided objective data on urban green space development. HUGSI’s tools are used in international research and serve as a foundation for city planning decisions. This year, a total of 516 cities in 80 countries on six continents have been analyzed on each city’s greenest day of the year, offering valuable insights into how urban greenery has evolved over time.

The analyzed cities range from 5,000 inhabitants in Netherlands to mega cities like Chongqing in China with over 30 million inhabitants. The average green coverage ranges from 25% in South & West Asia to 46% in Europe. For instance, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), has only 1% green coverage, while several European cities boast more than 60% of greenery.

“As urbanization accelerates, understanding how green spaces change is essential for creating sustainable, livable cities. Active development of urban greenery should always be a priority when planning public infrastructure,” says Erik Swan, green space specialist and project manager for HUGSI at Husqvarna Group.

Global Trend: Loss of Green Space Equivalent to Paris

Between 2023 and 2024, the analyzed cities recorded a loss of 95 million m² of green space – almost the size of Paris – primarily due to human activities such as construction and urban expansion. Among the analyzed cities, 73% show a negative development. On the positive side, 45 million m² of new or improved green space was added, mostly through expanded grass cover, likely driven by weather conditions and other passive factors rather than active greening efforts.

Cities in the Northern Hemisphere generally have more green space than those in the Southern Hemisphere. Europe maintains the highest average share of urban greenery globally at 46%. Despite this, the net change in 418 European cities is negative: 17 million m² gained versus more than 30 million m² lost, resulting in a net loss of 13.3 million m² – equivalent to over 1,800 football fields. Among European cities, Aarhus (Denmark), Sunderland (UK) and Chisinau (Moldova) show significant increases. Vilnius again tops the list of European capitals with 61% green space, 226 m² per capita, and 47% tree canopy cover.

Nordic Region: A Global Green Leader

The Nordic cities stand out with an impressive 49% share of urban green space (compared to Europe’s 46%), meaning nearly half of the urban land area in the 40 largest Nordic cities is covered by vegetation – trees, grass and shrubs. The region also shows lower green space loss than Europe overall, with a net decrease of 385,000 m². Vejle in Denmark is the greenest Nordic city (58% green space), followed by Uppsala and Linköping in Sweden. Aarhus leads Europe in net positive change, adding almost 1,2 million m² of greenery. The Nordics also shine globally with an average urban tree canopy cover of 35%. Finland ranks highest at 44%, while Denmark has fewer urban trees (24%) but some of the greenest cities overall with 48% green space.

“Green spaces are the lungs of the city. Trees play a vital role in urban environments – they reduce temperatures through shade, improve air quality, support biodiversity and contribute to the mental and physical wellbeing of city residents”, adds Erik Swan.

Concours donations were distributed to many of the event’s primary charities at a celebratory luncheon held today at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.

Charity Giving of Concours now Totals $45 Million, and It Hopes to Reach $50 Million by Its 75th Celebration in 2026

“The Pebble Beach Concours was founded by enthusiasts who wanted to gather together to celebrate cars, and that’s still the focus of the event on Concours Sunday,” noted Concours Chairman Sandra Button. “But from the start, the event has also had another purpose—that of raising donations for worthy charitable efforts. We are fortunate that celebrating something we love can also serve to benefit many people.”

Since it began in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours has raised over $45 million for charity, and Button hopes to bring that total to $50 million by the time the 75th Pebble Beach Concours takes place in August of 2026. To accomplish that goal, the Concours must raise a new annual record sum of $5 million in donations.

When Button first began to work with the Concours, back in 1986, its total charity giving had not yet reached $1 million. Annual donations in the early years often tallied just a few thousand dollars, stemming largely from the proceeds of Concours program and poster sales. Today, Concours proceeds come from the joint efforts of many people—from entrants, judges, sponsors and volunteers often working directly in concert with the staff of the Pebble Beach Concours and Pebble Beach Company in order to elevate the event and increase donations.

“Our gratitude goes out to a host of participants and partners,” said Pebble Beach Company CEO David Stivers. “The Concours is truly a community effort; its success and generosity is made possible only through the contributions of everyone who is involved in this event.”

Through the Concours’ primary charitable partner, Pebble Beach Company Foundation, Concours donations go to more than 100 of the region’s best nonprofits, with a special emphasis on those serving children and improving their health and education. Additionally, the Concours’ annual charity drawing—bolstered this year by generous gifts from Mercedes-Benz, INFINITI, and Lincoln—directly benefits several charities, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Montage Health Foundation, MY Museum, Natividad Foundation, Salinas Valley Health Foundation, Seneca Family of Agencies, and United Way Monterey County.

The Concours and the Foundation also support several educational programs that encourage the next generation of automotive enthusiasts while celebrating the memory of inspirational automotive leaders such as Phil Hill, Jules “J.” & Sally Heumann, John Lamm, and Don Williams.

The 75th celebration of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, to be held at The Lodge at Pebble Beach on Sunday, August 16, 2026, will honor the past with special tributes to Pebble Beach Road Racing greats and history-making groupings of cars brought together for the first time ever at the Concours. It also will feature Ferrari, Vignale, American Speedsters, Classic Streamliners, Land Speed Record Cars and Japanese Motorsports. Additional curated classes will be announced in the coming weeks and months. Ticket sales open soon.

  • Company leads way in validating environmental performance of power products under UL’s new sustainability standard, beginning with circuit breakers
  • Sets new benchmark for sustainable product design, advancing transparency and sustainability across Schneider Electric’s technology portfolio.

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, today announced that it is the first company to receive certification to UL Solution’s new ECOLOGO certification program for energy and industrial automation equipment for its portfolio of PowePacT™ Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The announcement was unveiled at Schneider Electric’s Innovation Summit North America in Las Vegas, convening more than 2,500 business leaders and market innovators to accelerate practical solutions for a more resilient, affordable and intelligent energy future.

Developed by UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, the new ECOLOGO certification for sustainability in industrial equipment is set in rigorous, science-based criteria. The certification is designed to help manufacturers demonstrate their commitment to sustainability through third-party evaluation, in accordance with UL 2711, the Standard for Sustainability of Energy and Industrial Automation Equipment.

“The industrial sector faces increasing pressure to reduce environmental impact without compromising performance or reliability,” said Bin Lu, Executive Vice President, Power Products at Schneider Electric. “As an energy technology leader and the first company to apply ECOLOGO certification, we’re setting a new standard for transparency and accountability in manufacturing, helping our customers confidently deploy lower-carbon energy technology and power distribution solutions at scale while advancing the entire industry toward a greener future.”

ECOLOGO Certification Criteria

The ECOLOGO certification program is a voluntary, multi-attribute, life cycle-based ecolabel that evaluates environmental and human health impacts across the entire product lifecycle. Criteria include:

  • Materials
: Use of recycled, bio-based and sustainably sourced content.
  • Manufacturing and Operations
: Renewable energy use, energy efficiency, and waste minimization.
  • Health and Safety
: Reduced toxicity and human health hazard mitigation.
  • Product life Cycle
    : Performance, durability and recyclability.
  • Corporate Governance: Reporting on sustainable corporate practices.
  • Transparency: Publicly available 3rd Party Certified carbon footprint disclosure.

The certification marks the first time that energy and industrial automation equipment can be assessed under the widely respected ECOLOGO program, which has long been used in sectors such as cleaning products, electronics, and personal care.

By certifying its molded case circuit breakers first, Schneider Electric is setting a new benchmark for energy technology and industrial design, supporting customers, partners, and governments who increasingly demand validated, environmentally responsible solutions.

Recognized globally by procurement programs, retailers, and regulatory bodies, ECOLOGO certifications are part of the Global Ecolabelling Network’s (GEN) GENICES system and qualify as an ISO Type 1 ecolabel, offering assurance of the highest credibility and transparency.

“Today’s industrial product manufacturers face an unprecedented imperative to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. This requires a science-based approach to substantiate sustainability claims and to meet evolving regulatory and market expectations,” said Jeff Smidt, senior vice president of Testing, Inspection and Certification, Industrial, at UL Solutions. “By attaining ECOLOGO® certification for industrial products, Schneider Electric is advancing the sustainability of its equipment while responding to stakeholder demands. We are honored that Schneider Electric has placed its confidence in UL Solutions to support this important endeavor.”
