CNH brand, New Holland, will be present at the Salon International de l’Agriculture (SIA) at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, the annual meeting place for French agriculture.

The T7.270 Methane Power will be presented to the public to illustrate the New Holland brand’s commitment to decarbonising agriculture. The event is being held from 22 February to 2 March.

The New Holland stand is promoting a mature, virtuous solution that helps farms to be self-sufficient in energy. Since 2022 New Holland has been marketing the T6.180, the first tractor over 120 hp to run on an alternative fuel.

HOUSTON, February 20, 2025 /3BL/ – On Thursday, February 20, Texas Hearing Institute and Green Mountain Energy Sun Club “Flipped the Switch” on a newly installed 150.7kW rooftop solar array, as part of the institute’s sustainability initiative to become more energy efficient. Green Mountain Energy employees participated in a tour of the facility and spent the morning volunteering within the Melinda Webb School reading to students.

In 2024, Green Mountain Energy Sun Club awarded a $244,000 grant to launch the nonprofit’s new sustainability initiative that aims to reduce its environmental footprint and reduce its operational expenses. The new 274-panel solar array will save Texas Hearing Institute nearly $16,000 in annual energy costs, which will allow them to provide audiology services at no cost for an additional 55 children with hearing loss each year. This upgrade will also reduce the organization’s environmental footprint by 331,179 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) over the lifetime of the array. That’s the equivalent of 932 households turning their lights off for a year!

“At Green Mountain Energy, we know each sustainability grant we support brings us closer to a cleaner future,” said Andrea Ortega-Toledano, senior director of sustainability, Green Mountain Energy. “We especially love solar projects because they transform sunlight into energy, ultimately helping make goals a reality for our partners.”

Founded in 1947, Texas Hearing Institute’s mission is to identify childhood hearing loss as early as possible, provide families access to integrated medical, educational and support services by understanding each child’s uniqueness and empowering them to achieve their best outcome. The U.S. government recently delivered two fixed scanner portals to the Costa Rican government to help bolster the nation’s port security.

Leidos’ VACIS IP6500 is a key technology in the fixed portal system, which was donated and will be deployed at Costa Rica’s Japdeva and Caldera ports. These systems are designed to enhance the country’s ability to detect and intercept illicit activities while supporting the efficient movement of cargo.

Why it matters: Costa Rica serves as a key gateway for commerce in Central America. By enhancing port security, this donation aims to address the region’s fight against drug trafficking and organized crime while strengthening trade routes in the region.  

The initiative was led by Leidos’ Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Ports and Borders division, which focuses on safeguarding the flow of commerce through the secure and efficient movement of cargo, vehicles, and people through ports and borders worldwide.

Faced with an RTO push from your employer? If you’re eagerly looking for a complete exit, you’re not alone. Following President Trump’s recent in-office mandate for federal workers, it was revealed that approximately 51% of employees would resign if confronted with a non-negotiable RTO mandate, while 40% would actively seek remote jobs, according to findings from a MyPerfectResume survey that polled over 1,000 U.S. workers in January 2025.

“Nearly half (45%) of respondents prefer fully remote work, 33% favor a hybrid model, and just 22% opt for on-site full-time roles,” the report continues, adding that “68% of employees say flexible work options improve their mental health, with 36% favoring fully remote and 32% preferring hybrid work.” This mirrors the findings from a recent FlexJobs report, which noted that “56% of employees argued that a remote-only environment was best for their mental health, while more than 40% agreed that a hybrid work arrangement was ideal.

The question is, where do you find the jobs that are not only remote, but allow you to earn a lucrative salary? It’s already challenging looking for a remote job. Finding one that pays in the region of six figures without the requirement to come into the office can be even more difficult.

But thankfully, the narrative for the likelihood of high-paying jobs being remote-only is changing. The share of high-paying remote jobs (the roles that pay $100,000 or more on average) increased by 10% in the last quarter of 2024, and showed steady gains quarter-on-quarter gains throughout the year, per a recent Ladders report. This signals good news if you’re at a level in your career where you want to continue working remotely while maintaining your current salary, or you’re seeking to move up the ladder in your career without needing to come into the office to work.

10 Work-From-Home Jobs That Pay Up To $200,000

FlexJobs analysts recently identified, from their database, the top 100 companies hiring for remote jobs in 2025, and from this list, they were able to compile data on the top 10 industries with the highest number of remote job openings available. These include project management, operations, finance, sales, and marketing. Within these industries, they were able to locate roles that are frequently listed on their job board and are actively hiring, which pay in excess of $100,000, and generally range from about $100,000 to $200,000 a year.

“The AI revolution will continue creating demand for specialized roles in software engineering, data science, and machine learning operations,” Ladders says. “Companies will pay a premium for talent capable of deploying AI-driven solutions. Due to increasing digital threats, companies will hire more cybersecurity professionals, and they’ll pay top dollar for them.”

2. Remote work will continue to evolve

Not only are remote roles on the rise, but the roles of those managing remote workers will be on the rise and will take on new meaning. “Managers who can manage distributed teams effectively will earn six-figure salaries as companies shift toward offering flexibility while still emphasizing productivity and accountability,” explains Ladders.

3. Healthcare management and technology will intersect

“The intersection of healthcare and technology will create opportunities in digital health, tele-medicine leadership, and healthcare data analytics, particularly for executives who can bridge clinical expertise with tech innovation.” This offers you a great opportunity of you have transferable skills from your background in healthcare or tech previously, as you can make a career pivot and blend your previous experience with an industry that complements your expertise (like healthcare and tech).

4. Economic uncertainty will drive more strategic hiring

Another factor contributing to the rise in high-paying remote jobs is the state of the economy, where employers are focused on aligning their business objectives and cutting costs where possible. Ladders continues, “Companies will focus on hiring operational leaders skilled in cost efficiency and revenue growth strategists to navigate uncertain market conditions.” This means that you can expect growth in openings for Chief Revenue Officers, strategy directors, and global operations leaders.

Briefly describe your role and responsibilities and how long you have worked with your company. 

My current role is Group Sustainability Director for LION. LION operates primarily in Australia, but we are also the largest brewer in New Zealand. In addition, we have a significant craft beer presence in the United States, including New Belgium Brewery and Bell’s Brewery. Our US craft beer network spans four operational sites: Bell’s Brewery in Michigan; New Belgium’s breweries in Fort Collins, Colorado; Asheville, North Carolina; and our newest site in Daleville, Virginia. Beyond brewing, we also operate wineries on the west coast and New Zealand.

I’ve been with LION for around six and a half years. I initially joined as Environment Director, and after three years, I transitioned into the Sustainability Director role. My responsibilities now focus on leading LION’s overall sustainability strategy, which we divide into three pillars—Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)—to maintain clarity and focus. My role is to set the strategy across these pillars and ensure its successful implementation.

Before joining LION, I worked across a range of carbon intensive industries, including aviation, chemicals, steel, and aluminum. This diverse background has been invaluable in bringing a fresh perspective to challenges such as decarbonization, water stewardship, and advancing the circular economy within the brewing industry.

I’m a chemical engineer by background, and the first half of my career was centered on engineering and management roles. My first dedicated sustainability role was at Qantas, where I worked for six years before joining LION.

How has the company’s sustainability program evolved over the years, and what are your specific priorities for 2025?

When I first joined, our sustainability strategy was organized into distinct areas of focus. On the environmental side, it centered around four key pillars: carbon, water, packaging (within the broader circular economy), and environmental risk management. Socially, our priorities included responsible consumption—our most material issue as an alcohol producer—along with community investment and reconciliation work with Australia’s First Nations people. We’ve also focused on broader human rights initiatives, which naturally tie into responsible sourcing. Governance underpins all of this, with a growing emphasis on climate reporting, risk management, and policy development, particularly as new disclosure requirements emerge globally.

Most recently, we’ve made significant progress. For example, on carbon, we have science-based targets cascaded from our parent company, Kirin, in Japan. In Australia, we’ve already exceeded our 2030 Scope 1 and 2 targets, achieving a 70% reduction against our 2019 baseline. This success is largely due to investments in renewable electricity, including agreements to supply 100% renewable power to our Australian operations. In New Zealand, we have a credible pathway to meet our 2030 target of a 55% reduction, but the U.S. presents more challenges. Access to renewable energy agreements there is more complex, so identifying opportunities to secure wind and solar power for our U.S. breweries will be a major focus over the next few years.

On water stewardship, we’re on track to achieve a 2.4L/L water efficiency target at our large breweries in water-stressed regions—Brisbane, Sydney, and Launceston—by next year. This has been enabled by the installation of a new reverse osmosis water recycling plant at Tooheys in Sydney that matches our water recycling operations at XXXX Brewery in Brisbane.

For packaging, we’re making strong progress in increasing recycled content. On average, our packaging contained over 70% recycled material last year. Some of our glass bottles have exceeded 80% recycled content, and aluminum cans exceed 50%. Working closely with our suppliers, we’re continuing to reduce demand for virgin materials and the carbon intensity of packaging. For instance, using recycled glass reduces energy consumption in glass furnaces, especially when combined with innovations like oxygen injection and cullet pre-heating, which has the potential halve furnace energy use.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re shifting focus from discrete efforts on carbon, water, and circular economy to integrated projects that deliver impact across multiple pillars simultaneously. To truly accelerate progress, we need to move beyond individual efforts and start collaborating more deeply across the value chain.

Our suppliers make up roughly 80% of a beer’s carbon footprint, so working collectively with them is essential. A great example is the Australian Climate Leaders Coalition’s Scope 3 Roadmap project, where we brought key players together—packaging suppliers, maltsters, logistics providers, and customers. Instead of relying on generic database figures, we gathered real carbon emissions data directly from our partners. It wasn’t easy—there is a natural reluctance to share sensitive data—but we addressed concerns by aggregating where needed and building trust.

With accurate data, we could have meaningful discussions about emissions reductions—whether that’s increasing recycled content in packaging, using electric trucks, or working with farmers on regenerative agriculture. This project demonstrated the power of collaboration and the need to take the blinkers off. Too often, companies pursue the same targets independently, missing opportunities to work together.

In 2025, we’ll focus on fostering more of these “pre-competitive” collaborations, where competitors and partners align on shared challenges. There’s precedent for this—like the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil—where companies worked together to address deforestation. We’re out of time, and we can’t afford to tackle these issues alone. Guardrails are needed to ensure compliance with competition laws, but these non-competitive conversations are critical to accelerating change.

A great example of this approach is the work we’re exploring to support the resilience of the Great Barrier Reef. Projects like this demonstrate how we can simultaneously address nature conservation and sustainability challenges across the value chain.

Ultimately, I find this deeply exciting. There’s so much potential when we work together. The limits of going it alone are now clear, but when we take collective action, we can make a much bigger impact on the climate, circularity, and beyond.

Many countries worldwide have restrictions on the utilization of the radioactive source, creating complex abandonment procedures and unwanted sidetrack in case of a stuck or lost radioactive source. Providing an accurate density measurement without a chemical radioactive source is a revolutionary alternative.
