LUGANO, Switzerland, Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Entrepreneur and founder of TELF AG, Stanislav Kondrashov, has released a new article titled “How Does Solar Energy Work? A Step-by-Step Explanation by Stanislav Kondrashov,” offering readers a clear, accessible look at one of the most transformative technologies of our time. The publication has quickly become one of his most acclaimed energy-focused releases, praised for its clarity, relevance, and engaging explanation of solar power’s growing role in the global energy transition.

A New Era of Accessible Power

Solar energy has quickly gone from a niche technology to a common source of power.

“Solar power has made energy available to everyone. It gives people, not just companies, a chance to be a part of the global energy change,” Kondrashov said.

The article talks about how the widespread use of solar technology has been made possible by its low cost, government incentives, and growing concern for the environment. This has made renewable energy available to homes, businesses, and public institutions all over the world.

Inside the Solar Process

Kondrashov’s publication breaks down the science behind solar systems in simple terms. Photovoltaic (PV) cells made from silicon capture sunlight, converting it into direct current (DC) electricity. This current is then transformed by an inverter into alternating current (AC), the form used to power homes and businesses. Excess energy can be stored in batteries or fed back into the grid, creating a sustainable and efficient loop.

“Understanding how solar energy works shouldn’t be reserved for engineers,” Kondrashov notes. “It’s now part of everyday life, and people should feel confident talking about it.”

Efficiency and Innovation

The analysis also explores the factors that affect panel efficiency, ranging from cell type and orientation to temperature and shading, and introduces smart technologies that optimize energy management through real-time monitoring.

Solar batteries, meanwhile, are enabling 24-hour energy reliability, a crucial advancement for off-grid communities and regions with unstable power infrastructure.

“That’s energy independence, and it’s becoming mainstream,” Kondrashov added.

Solar Energy’s Global Impact

Kondrashov says that solar power is more than just a step forward in technology; it also shows a move toward self-sufficiency and sustainability.

“We’re not just putting up panels,” he says. “We’re changing how people think about sustainability, resilience, and consumption.”

Solar energy is now one of the most important parts of the modern energy transition, along with wind and electric mobility. It is one of the main ways to decarbonize the world.

A Future Powered by the Sun

Solar energy is still making the world a cleaner and more responsible place to live. Panels can last up to 30 years and don’t release any pollution when they work.

“We are in a time when knowing about energy is power, literally. And solar energy gives people that power, from rooftops to faraway places. It’s not just power. It says what kind of future we want to make,” Kondrashov concluded.

ARLINGTON, Va., October 20, 2025, /3BL/ – Lightshift Energy (Lightshift), a developer, owner and operator of battery energy storage projects across the U.S., and KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM), the corporate and investment banking arm of Cleveland based KeyCorp (NYSE:KEY), announced the close of a $75 million credit facility that will support Lightshift’s rapidly growing pipeline of energy storage projects across the East Coast. The flexible facility, which includes a term loan, construction-to-term loan and tax equity bridge loan, strengthens Lightshift’s ability to bring new projects online quickly and at scale.

The financing backs six of Lightshift’s operational projects while also enabling the advancement of 10 projects currently in and nearing construction. It further lays the groundwork for another large wave of Lightshift’s project pipeline as the company transitions into a phase of significant growth. This comes at a time when the U.S. market is experiencing surging demand for energy storage and a rapidly expanding need for firm and fast capacity solutions amid load growth and electricity supply constraints.

The initial portfolio includes Lightshift’s project with GlobalFoundries in Vermont, which will deliver critical power services and significantly reduce electric transmission and capacity costs at their semiconductor manufacturing plant. The project will highlight the potential of co-located energy storage and, once operational in 2026, will be the largest battery project in Vermont.

KBCM served as sole lender. The facility is structured to provide nimble, scalable capital as Lightshift’s utility and corporate partners work to meet growing power requirements and navigate cost challenges around transmission constraints and large load additions driven by data centers. KBCM and Lightshift will look to expand the facility as Lightshift accelerates its distribution-level storage portfolio to serve surging demand for capacity.

“Energy storage is a cornerstone of grid modernization, and Lightshift’s innovative approach to energy storage aligns with the growing demand for flexible, scalable solutions” said Gregory Berman, Managing Director, Investment Banking, Utilities, Power & Renewable Energy at KeyBanc Capital Markets. “We’re pleased to provide a financing structure that enables Lightshift to accelerate deployment across a diverse portfolio of projects and meet the evolving needs of utilities and large energy users.”

“This transaction marks a major milestone for the industry through project financing for a fleet of batteries across diverse regions and offtakers, all with the same operational objective, to provide firm capacity to the grid in the fastest most impactful way possible,” said Rory Jones, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lightshift. “We are proud to partner with KeyBank as we tackle today’s most pressing grid challenges together.”

Flag football tradition at Fluor Field raises funds for Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County and Shriners Children’s Greenville through competitive play and community spirit

GREENVILLE, S.C., Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Greenville-based private equity firm Broadstreet Global hosted its fourth annual Charity Classic flag football tournament on October 16, uniting hundreds from the Upstate business community for an afternoon of friendly competition, camaraderie, and giving back. This year’s event raised $100,000 in support of two organizations central to Greenville’s social fabric: Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, which builds pathways to affordable homeownership for working families, and Shriners Children’s Greenville, which has provided world-class pediatric specialty care regardless of ability to pay since 1927.

Fluor Field, the award-winning home of the Greenville Drive that helped catalyze the city’s downtown transformation when it opened in 2006, provided the backdrop for an afternoon that felt equal parts tailgate party and community celebration. Teams representing Broadstreet, the two nonprofit beneficiaries, Contender Development, and A3 Communications faced off in spirited competition while spectators enjoyed food, entertainment, and the welcoming atmosphere that has made the ballpark a beloved, local landmark.

Throughout the tournament, Broadstreet Global amplified the giving through its signature touchdown pledge, donating for every score and adding an extra element of excitement to each play. The initiative has become a defining feature of the Charity Classic, turning every touchdown into tangible community support.

“Homeownership is the foundation for so much of what we hope for our families: stability, opportunity, and the chance to build generational wealth,” said LaTonya Phillips, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County. “Events like the Charity Classic demonstrate what is possible when the business community invests not just in economic growth, but in ensuring that growth includes everyone. These funds will help more families in Greenville County achieve the dream of owning their own home, and we are deeply grateful to Broadstreet Global and everyone who participated for making that possible.”

For Shriners Children’s Greenville, the tournament proceeds support a mission that has defined the hospital for nearly a century: ensuring every child receives the care they need regardless of their family’s financial situation.

“The generosity of our community has sustained Shriners Children’s Greenville since we opened our doors in 1927,” said Paul Finelli, Senior Director of Philanthropy at Shriners Children’s Greenville. “When local businesses rally behind us through events like the Charity Classic, they make it possible for us to continue delivering life-changing care to children who might otherwise go without it. Every dollar raised for Shriners through this tournament will help us uphold our promise that a family’s ability to pay will never be a barrier to receiving the best possible care for their child.”

The Charity Classic has become a cornerstone of Broadstreet Global’s community engagement, with previous tournaments supporting organizations including Upstate Warrior Solution and Sunday Dinner with a Twist. For the firm, the annual event reflects a broader philosophy about the role private equity can play in strengthening the communities where it does business.

“Four years ago, we wanted to create something that reflected who we are as a firm and who Greenville is as a community,” said Joseph Baldassarra, President of Broadstreet Global. “We invest in the Carolinas because we believe in the people and the potential here, and this tournament is our way of supporting the incredible organizations that do transformative work for families across the Upstate.”

Community gardens help families in need, says Desiree Jackson, vice president of early childhood services at the Catholic Charities of Brooklyn & Queens. The community her organization serves suffers from food insecurity, and growing produce in the garden can bring a community increased independence over food and even finances.

Her organization invites both parents and children to participate in nutrition, health and wellness programs supported by the GroMoreGood Garden Grants from National Head Start Association and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation. Families learn to grow produce at home as well as preserve it.

“We’re hoping to take this even further by continually having an outdoor classroom that stems food insecurities,” says Desiree. “Not only are we taking care of ourselves and seeing beautiful flowers, but we’re also able to take care of the community.”

The attainment of both certifications recognizes the company’s sustainability efforts

GALVESTON, Texas, Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Royal Caribbean Group’s (NYSE: RCL) Galveston Cruise Terminal (GCT) is the first cruise terminal to formally achieve both Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Net Zero Energy and LEED Net Zero Carbon certifications for its ongoing operations. These two new certifications build on Royal Caribbean Group’s existing LEED Gold certification for the design and construction of GCT, which began operations in November 2022.

“Earning three prestigious LEED certifications in under three years is both a testament to Royal Caribbean Group’s mission to deliver the best vacations responsibly and to the incredible drive of our partners, at SSA Marine, CodeGreen and the Port of Galveston,” said Joshua Carroll, senior vice president, Destination Development, Royal Caribbean Group.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED is a globally recognized rating system and framework for identifying and implementing practical green building strategies. The LEED Zero Carbon certification recognizes buildings operating with net zero carbon emissions over the course of the past year, and the LEED Zero Energy certification recognizes buildings that achieve a source energy use balance of zero for the past year.

“Achieving LEED certification is more than just implementing sustainable practices. It represents a commitment to making the world a better place and influencing others to do better,” said Peter Templeton, president and CEO, USGBC. “Given the extraordinary importance of climate protection and the central role buildings play in that effort, Royal Caribbean Group is creating a path forward through their LEED certification.”

Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Development team, Galveston terminal operator SSA Marine, and environmental consulting firm CodeGreen worked together on the project. CodeGreen audited and benchmarked the terminal’s energy, water and waste use. The SSA Marine operations team used these metrics to make necessary upgrades and improvements, including retro-commissioning building systems, to reach peak performance. This year-long process concluded in March 2025, and the two Net Zero certifications were awarded on June 18, 2025.

To commemorate these milestones, a plaque was hung in the terminal’s grand lobby, as a testament of Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to sustainability and delivering vacations responsibly.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your career journey, to date.

I graduated from DeVry University with a degree in Computer Information Systems back in 2001, right in the middle of the recession caused by the Dot-Com bubble burst and further complicated by the September 11th terrorist attacks. Facing hiring freezes throughout the economy and especially in this industry, I worked various tech support roles. Eventually, I landed with GoDaddy over 21 years ago, starting on the Web Board team to provide email support to our customers. At the time, there was little more than 300 employees at the company and a major hiring spree had just started. Over time, I was tasked with providing specialized support for new initiatives, leading to a role transition as the very first “The Domain Name Aftermarket” (TDNAM) Representative. It still amazes me to see how much the Aftermarket service has evolved over the years. In 2007, I transitioned again to the Abuse Department as a Click Fraud Analyst where I used my development skills to automate several processes and create tools to assist with reporting. When the team was reorganized in 2012, I transitioned to the Case Management Development team to continue contributing support for tool development. Since then, I have been focused on the needs of our internal teams who keep our Domain registration operations and industry affairs in order. I am currently managing the Domains Consumer Internal Tools (DCIT) team and was recently promoted to Senior Manager! When a colleague launched the GoNeuro subgroup of GD Abilities in September 2024, I instantly found the community I needed with other neurodivergent people throughout the company. When he left in April to pursue new opportunities, I wanted to ensure this important community continued. I accepted the role as Co-president of GoDaddy Abilities in May 2025 and am working to strengthen our community.

What inspired you to get involved with GoDaddy Abilities?

My journey with GoDaddy Abilities began as I sought support after my daughter was born with Spina Bifida. As a parent navigating the stress of caring for a child with complex needs, I found a welcoming community among other parents who understood my challenges. However, my connection with the ERG deepened when I faced my own late diagnosis of ADHD in 2020. Through the GoNeuro community, I discovered the support and understanding I needed for myself. This dual experience has not only provided me with invaluable resources but also reinforced the importance of fostering inclusive spaces where diverse needs and experiences are embraced.

How does GoDaddy make you feel supported?

GoDaddy has consistently demonstrated its commitment to supporting its employees, and I’ve been fortunate to experience this firsthand. Shortly after the birth of my first child, the company set up the first New Mother’s Room, providing me with a private, clean space to pump breast milk—a remarkable accommodation at a time when such practices were not yet industry standard. Additionally, the Benefits team has been instrumental in helping me navigate complex insurance issues, which are often stressful and unavoidable for those in the disabled community. Over the years, GoDaddy has developed a robust support system that includes policies like flexible time off and work from home, allowing me to excel in my role while prioritizing my family’s needs. These initiatives make me feel truly supported and empowered to do my best work without compromising on personal responsibilities.

What resources or opportunities does GD Abilities provide to its members?

The GD Abilities community offers multiple channels for members to discuss their challenges and seek input from others who have faced similar experiences. This exchange of stories fosters a supportive environment where we can uplift one another. Additionally, GD Abilities hosts inclusive webinars that promote awareness and understanding of diverse abilities, further enriching our collective knowledge and empathy. These resources and opportunities are invaluable in creating a strong, inclusive community where every member feels heard and supported.

What’s something you want people to know about the GD Abilities community?

GD Abilities champions inclusivity and welcomes everyone under our big tent, regardless of their diagnosis status. Whether you have a diagnosis, are seeking a diagnosis, supporting someone on their journey, or identifying with experiences that may not traditionally be viewed as disabilities, we are here for you.

We believe in creating a space where every perspective is valued, fostering understanding and connection among all members.

Join us in celebrating the diverse narratives that make our community vibrant and inclusive!

SONOMA, Calif., Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Jeff O’Neill, Proprietor of Ram’s Gate Winery in Sonoma’s Carneros AVA, announces today that the winery’s 28 acres of estate vineyards have earned Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) distinction, one of only 25 wineries in the world to achieve this rigorous certification. This milestone builds on the momentum of Ram’s Gate’s California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) certification in 2024 and underscores the company’s deep-rooted commitment to environmentally responsible practices, further demonstrated by O’Neill Vintners & Distillers’ Green Medal Leader Award in 2021 and Certified B Corporation status in 2022.

Ram’s Gate Winery’s 28-acre estate vineyard has earned Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) distinction.

“Ram’s Gate Winery’s Regenerative Organic Certification is an incredible achievement and testament to the passion and dedication of our entire team,” says O’Neill. “This recognition reflects our deep belief that exceptional wine begins with healthy soil, balanced ecosystems, and a collective commitment to land stewardship.”

The ROC™ program, overseen by the nonprofit Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA), sets one of the highest standards in agriculture today. Building on the foundation of USDA organic certification, the principles of ROC™ prioritize soil health by fostering organic matter, increasing diversity, sequestering carbon, integrating animals, and providing social fairness for farm workers. This holistic approach ensures that agriculture benefits both the environment and people, promoting more sustainable ecosystems and communities.

At Ram’s Gate, regenerative organic farming is designed not just to preserve the land, but to restore and enhance it with every vintage. The winery’s approach prioritizes building healthier soils and more climate resilient vineyards, leading to fruit that transparently expresses site, soil, and season. In tandem with the winery’s ROC™ recognition, O’Neill Head of Sustainability Caine Thompson and Winemaker Joe Nielsen launched an ambitious agroforestry initiative in March 2025; an approach practiced by a small set of wineries across France, including Château Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux and Champagne Ruinart. As a part of this initiative, the team planted 40 fruit trees per acre directly within the vineyard rows, which will continue to improve soil health, increase biodiversity, and create a resilient ecosystem built to thrive amid the challenges of a changing climate.

Over the last several years, Ram’s Gate has also eliminated all synthetic inputs and introduced cover crops to improve soil structure and biodiversity. Natural pest control is maintained through falconry and owl boxes, while an annual sheep grazing program assists with weed management and nutrient cycling. Together, these practices reinforce Ram’s Gate’s commitment to environmental stewardship and cultivating a thriving, resilient vineyard ecosystem. Ram’s Gate’s 28-acre estate vineyard has been Certified Sustainable since 2015 and additionally holds the Certified Fish Friendly Farming® designation.

“From the beginning, our philosophy at Ram’s Gate has been rooted in the idea that the best wines come from vineyards in balance with nature,” says O’Neill. “Regenerative farming allows us to go beyond organic practices—to not only protect the land but actively improve it for generations to come.”
