CINCINNATI, September 18, 2025 /3BL/ – Fifth Third’s outstanding record of operational sustainability has again been recognized by USA Today, which has named Fifth Third (NASDAQ: FITB) among its America’s Climate Leaders 2025.

The publication’s third annual list, published in partnership with Statista, Inc., provides a data-driven evaluation of companies that have significantly decreased their greenhouse gas emissions, including emission intensity, year-over-year reductions, and carbon disclosure ratings.

“Fifth Third has had a long-standing commitment to environmental leadership in the financial services sector,” said Pratik Raval, chief sustainability officer for Fifth Third. “We are driven by our understanding that integrating environmental sustainability into our business creates long-term value for our customers and strengthens the communities we serve.”

America’s Climate Leaders uses public data to rank companies doing the most to reduce their carbon footprint. To make the list, companies must have reduced their carbon intensity (carbon emissions divided by revenue) by 3% year-to-year.

Fifth Third has reduced greenhouse gas emissions in the areas of building operations, corporate transport and business travel by 60% since 2014. Fifth Third measures and reports on its corporate greenhouse gas emissions using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol methodology with third-party verification of its calculations.

“Operational sustainability, the reduction of Fifth Third’s own environmental and carbon footprint, has been key to our environmental sustainability program since the program’s inception in 2010,” Raval said.

Over the past decade, Fifth Third has achieved:

  • 60% reduction in location-based (Scope 1 & 2) greenhouse gas emissions
  • 46% reduction in energy use
  • 34% reduction in potable water use
  • 59% waste diverted from landfills
  • 65%reduction in paper use
  • 100% renewable power purchased

Fifth Third also reduced enterprise-wide energy usage by 46% since 2014 – surpassing its 40% goal – through optimized use of space, new construction and renovations, and enhanced facility-related operations and maintenance practices.

In August, Fifth Third celebrated six years of purchasing 100% renewable power, originally as part of a virtual power purchase agreement with the 80 MW Aulander Holloman solar facility in North Carolina.

As part of its sustainability commitment, Fifth Third has also set a target of providing $100 billion in environmental and social finance (sustainable finance) by 2030. Through 2024, the bank has provided $45.33 billion in sustainable finance toward that goal.

More information about Fifth Third’s commitment to sustainability can be found on Fifth Third’s Investor Relations website.

2,800 people helped. 1,400 sustainable jobs filled. $35 million in annual wage impact for Northeast Louisiana.

That is the impact of NOVA Workforce Institute of Northeast Louisiana (NOVA NELA). In 2024 alone, NOVA helped people obtain 359 professional certifications.

That is why the Regions Foundation, a nonprofit initiative funded primarily by Regions Bank, is continuing to support NOVA NELA by providing a $55,000 grant. The funding will support NOVA’s proven career training and job placement programs designed to connect people with living-wage employment and provide local businesses with a skilled workforce.

NOVA, an employer-led job intermediary, partners with training institutions, educators, and employers to help residents gain the skills needed to succeed in today’s job market. Services include skills training, job search and placement assistance, financial coaching, and wraparound support for individuals—particularly those from low- to moderate-income households.

NOVA is equipping people with the skills, coaching, and confidence to succeed. We’re proud to continue supporting their work in helping individuals secure living-wage jobs and, at the same time, strengthening the local economy.
Marta Self, Executive Director of the Regions Foundation

“Access to meaningful careers is about more than a paycheck—it’s about building stability and opportunity for entire families,” said Marta Self, Executive Director of the Regions Foundation. “NOVA is equipping people with the skills, coaching, and confidence to succeed. We’re proud to continue supporting their work in helping individuals secure living-wage jobs and, at the same time, strengthening the local economy.”

We previously highlighted the success story of Andrea Davis-Lloyd, who turned to NOVA for training and support on her path to becoming a registered nurse. Her journey underscored how the Institute helps people achieve long-term goals while building careers that sustain families.

“NOVA is changing lives by connecting residents to real opportunities,” said Kevin Smith, Market Executive for Regions Bank in Monroe. He awarded NOVA the donation on behalf of the Regions Foundation. “This work directly benefits local businesses, which gain access to a qualified workforce ready to contribute. The result benefits people, families, and employers across Northeast Louisiana.”

Smith presented the Regions Foundation grant at NOVA NELA’s 9th Annual Update to the Community Luncheon which was attended by hundreds including the local news media.

This grant from the Regions Foundation allows us to continue bridging the gap between workforce needs and the aspirations of local residents. Every certification earned, every job secured, represents a life changed.

In today’s logistics race, the final stretch is often the hardest to win. Last-mile delivery is costly, unpredictable, and critical for customer satisfaction. But as highlighted in DP World’s new AI Playbook – Smarter, Safer, Stronger: How AI Can Transform the Global Supply Chain – artificial intelligence (AI) is helping logistics leaders find smarter, faster, and greener ways to cross the finish line.

The Last Mile Challenge

For logistics leaders, the final leg of delivery has always been the most demanding. The “last mile” is complex, costly, and unpredictable, yet it’s also where customer satisfaction is won or lost. Traffic congestion, weather disruptions, fluctuating fuel prices, and labor shortages make execution difficult. At the same time, e-commerce growth and rising customer expectations are pushing delivery networks to their limits.

This is where AI is reshaping the game. By integrating real-time data and predictive modeling, AI is enabling logistics providers to turn one of the industry’s greatest challenges into a strategic advantage.

Smarter Routes, Stronger Performance

AI-powered delivery systems continuously analyze variables such as traffic patterns, weather conditions, carrier availability, and fuel costs to determine the most efficient routes. Beyond speed, these tools optimize for sustainability and cost-effectiveness, helping companies lower emissions while boosting profitability.

As Glen Clark, CEO of DP World in the U.S. and Mexico and Regional Head of Contract Logistics, explains: “Whether a customer is routing their product via different modal methods, through different countries or with different service providers, we can use data modeling and scenario planning for better predictability.”

The result is more than just faster deliveries – companies gain a competitive edge with optimized costs, reduced carbon output, and improved reliability.

From Planning to Real-Time Execution

AI doesn’t just help design smarter delivery routes; it transforms execution. With AI-driven visibility platforms, logistics teams can:

  • Track shipments live and provide customers with real-time updates.
  • Automatically adjust estimated delivery times (ETAs).
  • Reroute shipments instantly when disruptions occur.

This level of responsiveness ensures fewer delays, more accurate forecasting, and higher customer trust. In the fast-moving world of e-commerce, where transparency and predictability are non-negotiable, these capabilities are quickly becoming essential.

Sustainability Meets Efficiency

Sustainability goals are no longer optional – they’re demanded by regulators, investors, and consumers alike. AI supports greener logistics by reducing unnecessary stops, balancing load distribution, and cutting fuel consumption. By embedding these efficiencies into last-mile operations, companies not only meet environmental expectations but also lower costs and improve delivery performance.

The Future of Fulfillment

As consumer behavior shifts toward direct-to-consumer models, AI will continue to play a central role in differentiating leaders from laggards. The future of fulfillment isn’t just fast – it’s intelligent, adaptive, and deeply data-driven.

Companies that invest in AI now will be best positioned to meet growing customer demands, reduce their environmental footprint, and build resilient, future-ready delivery networks.

Artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept; it’s already transforming how goods move from factory floors to front doors.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif., September 18, 2025 /3BL/ – Traditional Medicinals®, the leading botanical wellness company and Certified B Corporation, today announces the launch of two new organic herbal teas: Rosy Mood™ and Stress Ease ® Calm. These blends represent Traditional Medicinals’ first Fair for Life® certified offerings, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability as it celebrates 50 years of botanical innovation.

As Traditional Medicinals enters the mood support category with Rosy Mood and expands its popular Stress Ease® line with a new blend, both teas exemplify the brand’s dedication to supporting ethical sourcing and sustainability at every step of the supply chain. Formulated to support the emotional and lifestyle needs of today’s consumers, Rosy Mood and Stress Ease Calm deliver plant-powered rituals that provide accessible, botanical solutions for everyday well-being. Rosy Mood inspires joy and uplifts mood, while Stress Ease Calm supports intentional unwinding and builds resilience to stress, two essentials for modern living.*

A recent Talker Research survey found that seven in ten people believe their outlook on life would improve if they could better manage stress. “By infusing more joy and calm into everyday rituals, we can help reduce stress levels,” said Dr. Taryn Forrelli, ND, Traditional Medicinals’ Chief Science Officer. “That’s why, in honor of our 50th anniversary, we created teas designed to inspire wonder, spark joy, and provide a sense of calm. Rosy Mood lifts the spirit with every cup, while Stress Ease Calm—powered by adaptogens and other high-quality herbs—offers a restorative moment to unwind and thrive through life’s challenges. Crafted with Fair for Life certified ingredients, these blends support emotional well-being while honoring the deep roots of traditional herbal wisdom.”

Fair for Life Certification: A Rigorous Standard for Social and Environmental Responsibility

Fair for Life is one of the world’s most rigorous certifications for social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and fair trade. For Traditional Medicinals, achieving this certification means partnering directly with wild collectors, smallholder farmers, and cooperatives to ensure fairness across the entire supply chain. Rosy Mood features Fair for Life certified butterfly pea flower and cinnamon, while Stress Ease Calm includes certified ashwagandha and shatavari.

This milestone reflects the brand’s longstanding commitment to ethical sourcing and community investment—more than $20 million over the past decade in regions from Eastern Europe to India. It also marks a crucial step toward Traditional Medicinals’ ambitious goal of sourcing 80% of its herbs from fair-certified origins by 2030.

“Fair for Life is more than a label, it’s a commitment woven into every step of the journey,” said Jamie Horst, Traditional Medicinals’ chief purpose officer. “Rosy Mood and Stress Ease Calm reflect our commitment to ensure dignity, equity, and long-term support for communities and ecosystems from seed to cup.”

The Brand’s Expansion into Mood Support Offerings

Rosy Mood was formulated by Traditional Medicinals team of herbalists, drawing on decades of collective wisdom, including the inspiration of Traditional Medicinals’ Co-founder Rosemary Gladstar. Rosy Mood marks Traditional Medicinals’ latest entry into the mood support category. The blend brings together uplifting damiana, heart-soothing rose, and one of Rosemary’s favorite botanicals: butterfly pea flower, for a colorful pause in the day. Thanks to the natural pigments in butterfly pea flower and hibiscus, Rosy Mood shifts color depending on the water’s pH when brewed, creating a range of vibrant shades from bright pink to dark purple.

Stress Ease Calm joins the popular Stress Ease family of teas with Tension Relief, Focus, and Immune, as a gentle, everyday tea formulated to support a peaceful state of mind. With a harmonizing blend of ashwagandha, shatavari, and honeybush, this tea combines adaptogens and nervines to help build resilience to occasional stress and restore inner calm.

50 Years of Herbal Wellness

The launch of Rosy Mood and Stress Ease Calm continues Traditional Medicinals’ “50 Years in Bloom” anniversary celebration. The anniversary year has featured significant initiatives including the launch of Herbs for All, which has awarded over $75,000 in grants to nonprofit partners advancing health and herbal wellness access in their communities. The company has invested more than $200,000 in broadening access to high-quality herbal wellness through community education programs.

Students at Mac Williams Middle School now have a new way to learn beyond the four walls of the classroom. In early September, the school community joined with Chemours Fayetteville Works to cut the ribbon on a new outdoor classroom designed to spark curiosity and expand hands-on STEM learning opportunities.

The open-air space features seating and work areas that will serve more than 1,000 students each year with interactive lessons in agriculture, life sciences and other STEM subjects. The project is part of a growing partnership between the school and Chemours through its ChemFEST (Chemours Future of Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology) program.

“This outdoor classroom is more than just a space—it’s a symbol of our commitment to giving every student access to creative, hands-on learning experiences,” said Seth Bailey, Chemours Fayetteville Plant Manager. “I’ve seen firsthand how partnerships can spark curiosity and inspire young people to consider STEM pathways for their future. The future of chemistry—and innovation—is right here in Fayetteville, and we’re happy to support that. We are proud to partner with Mac Williams Middle School to help build the next generation of innovators.”

Principal Anita McLaughlin praised the investment and impact on her students. “We are so grateful to Chemours for investing in our students and school community,” McLaughlin said. “This outdoor classroom will open new doors for hands-on learning and spark a lifelong love of science in our students.”

The project builds on Chemours’ multi-year collaboration with Mac Williams Middle School, which has already expanded STEM-based lab modules to every grade level and connected students with Chemours employees who volunteer their time. Additionally, this partnership has increased student participation in STEM learning by 10%. The initiative ensures fair access to engaging, real-world science experiences for middle school students in Cumberland County.

PARIS, Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Reju, the purpose-driven, leading textile-to-textile regeneration company, is using augmented reality (AR) to give Climate Week NYC 2025 attendees and the city itself a dramatic look at the textile industry’s global waste problem. Launching on 22nd September, Reju’s AR experience overlays mountains of textile waste against two iconic New York City landmarks; the Empire State Building and Flatiron providing a powerful, shareable visualization of the sustainability crisis and the company’s role in solving it.

According to Textile Exchange, more than 92 million tons of textile waste are generated globally each year, most of it ending up in landfills or incinerated. Reju’s regeneration technology which originated with IBM research, is designed to change that by recovering, regenerating and recirculating end-of-life textiles into high-quality materials, closing the loop on textile waste.

Throughout Climate Week, New Yorkers will encounter QR code signage at high-traffic locations and near key Climate Week venues. Scanning the code leads users to an interactive microsite, where they can point their phone’s camera at the two landmark buildings to activate Reju’s AR filter.

As users swipe through the AR settings, they will see the amount of global textile waste generated in a second, minute, hour and day scaled to the size of the landmark in front of them. The experience delivers a visceral sense of the industry’s impact and highlights why innovation in sustainable materials is critical.

“Reju’s AR experience brings the invisible textile waste problem into sharp focus, right in the middle of New York City during a week when climate is top of mind,” said Patrik Frisk, CEO, Reju. “It’s a wake-up call, but also a glimpse of hope. This is the very waste Reju is designed to transform, turning discarded textiles into high-quality materials and closing the loop in fashion and beyond.”

Designed to meet audiences where they are, the AR activation enables New Yorkers and visitors to scan QR codes found on social media and near the landmarks and immerse themselves in the AR experience, record videos, and share their content on social media.

This campaign includes influencer partners who will share videos of the AR filter in action, inspiring followers to find the landmarks, try the filter themselves, and post their own content—amplifying the conversation and deepening engagement.

To participate in the experience, Climate Week attendees and the public can follow @Reju on social platforms and https://ar.reju.com/ to view the experience.

After using the AR filter, consumers are encouraged to share their footage with the hashtag #RejuClimateWeek, learn more about textile regeneration, and sign up to join Reju’s movement toward a circular textile economy.

The beloved beanie brand returns during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with its mission to help kids battling cancer

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — From a college project to a nationwide movement that’s supported over 270,000 children battling cancer, Love Your Melon’s story has come full circle. One of the original founders, Zachary Quinn, has reacquired the brand from Win Brands Group and is relaunching this fall as LYM. New and classic products will return with the beloved Buy One, Give One program, recharging the mission to bring comfort and hope to kids battling cancer and other life-threatening conditions.

“This is personal. It always has been,” said Zachary Quinn, Founder and CEO of LYM. “We started this company in our college apartment with a simple idea to give a hat to every child battling cancer. That mission still drives everything we do. Now, with my family by my side, we’re bringing LYM back to its roots and building toward something even bigger. This isn’t just a comeback, it’s a calling, and we’re just getting started.”

LYM: The New Chapter in a Movement That Gives Back

LYM is more than a name change—it’s a bold evolution of the brand’s identity. While still rooted in the original mission of comfort, community, and care, LYM is built for today’s conscious consumers who want to look good while doing good. With elevated design and a deeper emotional purpose, LYM is creating a community where everyone makes a difference.

This September, coinciding with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, LYM reintroduces its signature “Buy One, Give One” program. With each beanie purchased, another is donated to a child battling cancer or to the family members and caregivers who share in that fight. Marked with the new blue tag, every beanie carries a message of hope and solidarity.

New Look. Same Heart. Bigger Impact.

Since 2012, LYM has donated more than $10 million to pediatric cancer programs that directly support families, including Pinky Swear Foundation and M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. That need has only grown: one in five families struggles with food, transportation, housing, or utility insecurity after a childhood cancer diagnosis. After six months of chemotherapy, one-third of families struggle to pay even one of those bills.

“Support from donors and partners like LYM makes our mission possible, to help families with household essentials like housing, food, and transportation while their child is in treatment,” said MaryBeth Meyer, Director of Marketing at Pinky Swear Foundation. “LYM’s renewed commitment means more families can focus on what matters most – caring for their child. We are proud to be part of this next chapter.”

Fifteen percent from every accessory, add-on, and warehouse sale item purchased helps fund family services, emotional support programs, and vital resources such as the Love Your Melon Family Resource Center located in the lobby of M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. This warm, welcoming space includes a family lounge, a library with books and games for kids, and an event space.

“From the very first hat drop to thousands of hats later, LYM has been woven into the fabric of M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital’s story,” said Aimee Nelson, Director of Children’s Services M Health Fairview Pediatrics. “Their unwavering generosity and joyful presence have impacted the lives of countless patients and families, creating moments of comfort and hope that last far beyond a hospital stay.”

The LYM is Back Collection

New LYM products drop Monday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. CT at LYM.com. The relaunch includes two core collections:

  • Essentials Collection ($30): Featuring the all-new LYM logo on a signature blue tag, this line is warm and comfortable beanies in a variety of colors that can be worn cuffed and slouchy-beanie style.
  • Classic Collections ($30 or $35 with pom): The favorite classic styles featuring the original Love Your Melon leather patch in an expansive color collection and styles from cuffed to slouchy beanies and pom beanies.

Customers can also shop accessories and add-ons, including poms for beanies, children’s books, friendship bracelets, wash bags, patches and sticker packs.

A special warehouse sale will take place in Minneapolis, offering exclusive styles and limited-time merchandise through the holiday season. Details will be announced through official LYM channels.

Wear Your Impact

For kids undergoing chemotherapy or radiation, beanies do more than keep them warm—they restore a sense of normalcy and belonging. Each beanie given is a tangible sign that a community is standing behind them and they’re not alone.

LYM is set to make its biggest impact yet with the brand relaunch. Every beanie sold means another is donated to a child battling cancer. Colors will sell out quickly, with restocks and new styles being added frequently online and through the Minneapolis-based retail store.

New LYM products will be finished in the USA with operations in Portland, Ore., and Minneapolis, Minn. supporting jobs and local economies in both cities.

Media assets can be found here.
