Nonclinical studies demonstrated reductions in two key measures of neuropathic pain

Ongoing Phase 2 CAReS trial includes pain endpoints to evaluate ART27.13’s potential to address multiple cancer-related symptoms

SOLANA BEACH, Calif., Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Artelo Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARTL) (“Artelo” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on modulating lipid-signaling pathways to develop treatments for people living with obesity, cancer, pain, dermatologic and neurological conditions, today announced that it will present data demonstrating the potential of ART27.13 to treat chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain at the IASP 2026 World Congress on Pain, taking place October 26–30, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Professor Saoirse O’Sullivan, Vice President of Translational Sciences at Artelo, will deliver a presentation today entitled “88: Effects of ART27.13 in a Preclinical Model of Paclitaxel-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy.”

ART27.13, a once-daily oral, peripherally selective CB1 and CB2 receptor agonist, is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for cancer-related anorexia and weight loss. The findings highlight its potential to address chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain, expanding its possible applications in cancer supportive care.

ART27.13 – Exploring New Potential in Chemotherapy-Induced Neuropathic Pain

  • Significant unmet need: Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy affects approximately 60% to 80% of patients receiving paclitaxel, highlighting the need for effective pain management alternatives.
  • Encouraging pain data: In a nonclinical model of paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy, repeated dosing with ART27.13 reduced sensitivity to touch (mechanical allodynia) and heat (thermal hyperalgesia) in both male and female animals.
  • Ongoing clinical evaluation: Artelo has incorporated multiple pain endpoints into its ongoing Phase 2 Cancer Appetite Recovery Study (CAReS) to assess whether the analgesic effects observed in nonclinical studies translate to patients with cancer.
  • Broader therapeutic potential: ART27.13 may offer a single, once-daily oral treatment addressing multiple cancer-related symptoms, including appetite loss, weight loss and neuropathic pain.

“Cancer patients frequently experience multiple debilitating symptoms, including appetite loss, weight loss and neuropathic pain, yet treatment options remain limited,” said Professor O’Sullivan. “Our nonclinical findings demonstrate ART27.13’s potential to reduce chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain, complementing the encouraging weight gain and activity improvements observed from our Phase 2 CAReS trial’s interim analysis. Importantly, the trial already includes pain endpoints, providing an opportunity once CAReS is completed to evaluate whether ART27.13 could address multiple cancer-related symptoms through a single, once-daily oral therapy.”

Organized by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), the World Congress on Pain is the largest global gathering of pain professionals, bringing together thousands of scientists, clinicians and healthcare providers from around the world.

About ART27.13

Initially developed by AstraZeneca plc, ART27.13 is a dual cannabinoid agonist that has been evaluated in six clinical studies and two ongoing clinical trials with nearly 300 participants. It is being developed as a once-daily oral agent that selectively targets peripheral CB1 and CB2 receptors, enabling systemic metabolic effects while minimizing central nervous system-mediated toxicity.

Artelo is conducting a Phase 2 trial, the Cancer Appetite Recovery Study (CAReS), evaluating ART27.13 as a supportive care therapy for cancer patients with anorexia and weight loss. Patients had to have lost at least 5% of body weight to enroll. In interim data, those titrated to the highest dose (1300 µg) gained an average of 6% of body weight over 12 weeks, while patients on placebo lost an additional ~5%. There is currently no FDA-approved treatment for cancer anorexia cachexia syndrome. ART27.13 is also being evaluated in DREAM, a Phase 2 study in people with glaucoma investigating whether oral daily treatment can lower intraocular pressure.

New Global Insights Report finds accuracy and effectiveness among marketers’ top priorities when evaluating AI solutions

NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — DoubleVerify (“DV”) (NYSE: DV), the leading software platform to verify media quality, optimize ad performance and prove campaign outcomes, today released new findings from its 2026 Global Insights Report, Beyond the Hype: The Real State of AI in Digital Advertising, revealing that 97% of marketers plan to use AI across some aspects of media planning, buying and optimization in 2026. However, the findings reveal that broad plans to use AI have yet to translate into equally widespread adoption across individual advertising workflows. Drawing on a global survey of 2,020 marketers and additional DV data, the report examines where AI is gaining traction, as well as the priorities and concerns shaping marketers’ evaluation of AI solutions.

“AI is becoming a part of how nearly every marketer plans and buys media, but when you look at adoption across individual workflows, the picture is more nuanced,” said Mark Zagorski, CEO, DV. “Marketers are increasingly embracing AI, but there’s still considerable opportunity to integrate it more deeply into each step of how campaigns are planned, bought and optimized.”

Key report findings include:

  • More marketers are using AI to develop media briefs: AI adoption for summarizing media briefs increased from 28% in 2024 to 37% in 2025, with usage expected to reach 40% in 2026.
  • AI is gaining ground in campaign activation and bidding: In 2025, 35% of marketers used AI to activate campaigns, up from 31% in 2024, while 29% used it to optimize bidding, up from 24%. Usage is expected to reach 40% and 34%, respectively, in 2026.
  • AI adoption for mid-flight optimization is accelerating: The percentage of marketers using AI to optimize campaigns mid-flight (adjusting campaigns while live) increased by 10 percentage points, from 21% in 2024 to 31% in 2025, with usage expected to reach 36% in 2026.

Despite uneven adoption across individual workflows, AI-powered bidding is delivering promising results: 98% of marketers using these solutions reported performance improvements, according to DV’s research.

Accuracy and Effectiveness Lead Marketers’ AI Priorities

As AI takes on a greater role in advertising operations, marketers are placing significant emphasis on the quality, reliability and value of the solutions they adopt. When evaluating AI optimization offerings, marketers prioritize:

  • Accuracy and effectiveness of AI recommendations and optimization (35%), the most frequently cited consideration.
  • Data privacy and security compliance (29%), reflecting the importance of protecting sensitive information as AI becomes more integrated into advertising operations.
  • Cost and return on investment (29%), highlighting the need to demonstrate tangible business value from AI investments.

“Today’s AI optimization solutions are already helping marketers make smarter decisions and improve campaign performance,” added Zagorski. “As these capabilities advance, we expect AI agents to take on a greater role in managing campaign optimization on behalf of advertisers. That creates significant opportunity, but it also raises the stakes for accuracy, transparency and measurable performance. Marketers need to trust not only the recommendations AI makes, but also the actions it takes.”

DV helps advertisers automate and optimize campaign performance through DV Scibids AI™, which uses first-party data and trusted third-party measurement inputs to generate custom bidding algorithms aligned with campaign KPIs. The technology helps improve campaign outcomes while reducing the need for manual optimization. DV Scibids AI is part of DV’s Media AdVantage Platform (DV MAP™), which brings together media verification, AI-powered optimization and outcomes measurement to help advertisers improve media effectiveness and return on ad spend.

SurgePays expands GrowthLine into the rural broadband market, with iPMobile expected to bring more than 15 providers onto the platform over the next 12 months

GrowthLine partnership with iPMobile expected to serve hundreds of thousands of customers over time

BARTLETT, Tenn., Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SurgePays, Inc. (NASDAQ: SURG) (“SurgePays” or the “Company”), a fintech company that launches and runs wireless brands, today announced a definitive agreement with IP Mobile, LLC (“iPMobile”) to bring rural broadband providers onto GrowthLine by SurgePays. The partnership enables participating broadband providers to offer wireless service to their existing customers under their own brands, with SurgePays providing the complete wireless operation.

iPMobile will serve as SurgePays’ exclusive rural broadband sales channel partner, recruiting providers and securing agreements for their branded wireless offerings. SurgePays will serve as iPMobile’s exclusive wireless platform partner, providing carrier access, technology, activation, billing and payments, customer care, compliance and daily operations through its GrowthLine platform.

“We intend to move aggressively and with a custom-tailored solution for smaller size wireless internet service providers (WISP) to large fiber providers and everyone in between. We are not just connecting to 5G services, but providing a full white label, white glove service led by SurgePays’ development and technology team and a full go to market plan and strategy supported by iPMobile. We expect to bring more than 15 rural broadband brands onto GrowthLine over the next 12 months and build this partnership into a wireless business serving hundreds of thousands of customers,” said Brett Wantland, Vice President of iPMobile. “These providers have already earned a place in their customers’ homes. Our opportunity is to help them win the wireless business, too. We believe SurgePays’ GrowthLine platform is the perfect solution for any broadband company, big or small. The wireless industry is changing, and broadband companies want to stay ahead of the curve, protect their existing base, and serve more of their needs. With our combined 60+ years in telecom, we know this isn’t as easy as getting connected. Our broadband providers need a partner that can guide them through the entire process, from start to finish and beyond. We see this as a major growth channel to deliver that solution while offering a seamless and integrated billing platform.”

“With the launch of GrowthLine, we expanded how SurgePays grows, offering partners access to our entire infrastructure, including 24/7 live support. We believe we have built not only the most innovative platform but also the only platform that encompasses every aspect of a wireless operation. For partners seeking to launch their own wireless brands, we have made the process fast, simple, and profitable. This partnership with iPMobile further validates that approach and gives us a direct pipeline to rural broadband providers that have already built customer relationships. Each provider iPMobile brings onto GrowthLine can sell wireless service to its existing customers, adding subscribers to infrastructure we have already built. That operating leverage is how we plan to build value for the Company,” said Brian Cox, Chief Executive Officer of SurgePays.

“Rural broadband companies already have the customer relationships. This partnership gives them another service to sell to those customers, a new source of recurring revenue, and a way to defend those customers against emerging companies that offer broadband and wireless together,” said Allison Seyler, Vice President of Sales at SurgePays. “iPMobile brings the sales channel, the broadband companies bring their brands and customers, and GrowthLine provides the wireless operation.”

The program lets broadband providers expand their service offerings while keeping their own customer-facing brands. Each participating provider will receive a negotiated share of margin after direct costs. iPMobile will manage provider recruitment and commercial relationships, while SurgePays operates the wireless service and back office.

About the AMPLIFY-7P Phase 2 Study

AMPLIFY-7P Phase 2 is a randomized study evaluating camupepimut (ELI-002 7P) versus observation in patients with mutant KRAS-driven pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma following completion of standard locoregional therapy. The study enrolled 144 patients across 24 U.S. clinical sites.

About camupepimut (ELI-002 7P)

Camupepimut is an investigational, off-the-shelf immunotherapy designed to generate immune responses against seven of the most common KRAS mutations. Camupepimut utilizes Elicio’s proprietary Amphiphile (“AMP”) technology to target mutant KRAS peptide antigens and an immune-stimulatory adjuvant directly to the lymph nodes, where adaptive immune responses are orchestrated.

About Elicio Therapeutics

Elicio Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: ELTX) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing next-generation immunotherapies for the treatment of KRAS-driven cancers, including mKRAS-positive pancreatic and colorectal cancers. Elicio intends to build on recent clinical findings in the personalized cancer immunotherapy space to develop effective, off-the-shelf immunotherapies.

Elicio’s AMP technology aims to enhance the education, activation and amplification of cancer-specific T cells relative to conventional immunotherapy strategies, with the goal of promoting durable cancer immunosurveillance in patients. Elicio’s camupepimut lead program is an off-the-shelf immunotherapy candidate targeting the most common KRAS mutations, which drive approximately 25% of all solid tumors.

Off-the-shelf immunotherapy approaches have the potential benefits of low cost, rapid, commercial-scale manufacturing and rapid availability of drug to patients, especially in neoadjuvant settings and for prophylaxis in high-risk patients, contrary to personalized immunotherapy approaches.

Elicio’s pipeline includes additional off-the-shelf therapeutic cancer immunotherapy candidates, including ELI-007 and ELI-008, which target BRAF-driven cancers and p53 hotspot mutations, respectively.

Always-on neuromorphic AI with on-chip learning comes to the world’s most popular single-board computer

AKD1500 Raspberry P1 5 Dev Kit

The kit pairs a Raspberry Pi 5 with BrainChip’s AKD1500 M.2 board, giving the millions of engineers, makers and product teams who already build on Raspberry Pi an off-the-shelf way to develop low-power, always-on AI applications.
The kit pairs a Raspberry Pi 5 with BrainChip’s AKD1500 M.2 board, giving the millions of engineers, makers and product teams who already build on Raspberry Pi an off-the-shelf way to develop low-power, always-on AI applications.

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN, OTCQX: BRCHF, ADR: BCHPY), a global leader in ultra-low-power, fully digital, event-based neuromorphic AI, today launched the AKD1500 Raspberry Pi 5 Development Kit. The kit pairs a Raspberry Pi 5 with BrainChip’s AKD1500 M.2 board, giving the millions of engineers, makers and product teams who already build on Raspberry Pi an off-the-shelf way to develop low-power, always-on AI applications – and a clear path to production on the same AKD1500 chip.

“As an American Tier 1 for physical AI, Hellbender looks for edge technologies that can move cleanly from prototype to production,” said Brian Beyer, CEO, Hellbender. “BrainChip’s AKD1500 Raspberry Pi 5 kit makes it easy for engineering teams to evaluate low-power, always-on AI on familiar hardware, and we see it as a promising option for the robotics and vision applications our customers are building.”

The challenge: always-on AI strains power, privacy and the path to production

A growing class of edge devices – sensors, monitors, wearables, industrial equipment and smart home products – must listen, watch or measure continuously. Running AI on these devices with conventional processors means analyzing every frame and sample, whether anything has changed, which drains batteries and adds heat. Sending the data to the cloud instead adds latency, bandwidth cost and privacy risk. And once a model is deployed, teaching it something new typically means collecting data, retraining in the cloud and pushing an update.

Developers face a second hurdle: the hardware used to build a proof of concept is often not the hardware that ships. Moving from a prototype to a production design can mean re-porting models, re-validating performance and starting over on a new platform.

The solution: event-based AI that learns on the device

AKD1500 uses BrainChip’s event-based, neuromorphic architecture to process only meaningful events rather than every piece of incoming data, making it well suited to power always-on workloads such as sensing, monitoring and detection. All processing happens on the device, so applications avoid the latency, bandwidth cost and privacy exposure of the cloud.

AKD1500 also supports on-chip learning, so models can learn new classes directly on the device without cloud retraining. A developer can teach a Raspberry Pi 5 application to recognize a new keyword, gesture or object in the field, and the data stays local.

“Raspberry Pi is where many edge AI products begin,” said Steve Brightfield, chief product officer, BrainChip. “This kit puts neuromorphic AI where developers already work and gives teams a fast, low-cost way to validate applications on streaming data.”

“Kit support will include Docker images that can be preloaded to simplify benchmarking and demos and that serve as a reference for custom neuromorphic application containers. Developers who already have a Raspberry Pi 5 with an M.2 HAT can add the production AKD1500 M.2 card and use the same software.”

From prototype to production on one chip

The kit is off the shelf and quick to set up. Teams evaluate their application on Raspberry Pi 5, then design the same AKD1500 chip into their own product with a PCIe or SPI interface to suit their system without switching to new silicon. The kit joins the AKD1500 PCIe card and AKD1500 M.2 board in BrainChip’s family of AKD1500 development platforms, and teams can prototype on any of them.

For developers, the kit offers:

  • A familiar platform: Build and test edge AI on Raspberry Pi 5 hardware and workflows developers already know.
  • Always-on efficiency: Event-based processing handles continuous sensing workloads without processing every input.
  • Local learning and privacy: Add new keywords, gestures or objects on the device, with no cloud retraining and no data leaving the device.
  • Free tools and models: BrainChip’s MetaTF software tools and models are available at no charge through the BrainChip Developer Hub.
  • One chip, prototype to product: The AKD1500 chip that runs on the kit is the same one teams design into production.

Strategic significance for BrainChip

According to MarketsandMarkets, the global edge computing market is projected to grow from $111.34 billion in 2026 to $317.39 billion by 2031, fueled by organizations prioritizing faster data processing, low-latency applications and decentralized digital infrastructure.

The AKD1500 Raspberry Pi 5 Development Kit reflects BrainChip’s commitment to executing its product roadmap and delivering the production-ready tools developers need today. It advances three priorities:

  • Broader developer adoption: Putting Akida in front of the Raspberry Pi community expands the pipeline of engineers who design with Akida.
  • AKD1500 commercialization: Alongside the PCIe card and M.2 board, the kit completes an accessible lineup built on one chip, covering prototyping through production and creating a direct path from evaluation to chip design-ins.
  • Edge AI leadership: AKD1500 brings BrainChip’s event-based processing and on-chip learning to a mainstream developer platform.

Availability

The AKD1500 Raspberry Pi 5 Development Kit is available now through the BrainChip Shop. MetaTF software tools and models are available at no charge through the BrainChip Developer Hub.

Yield Table Assumptions – Average loan balances are inclusive of nonperforming loans. Net interest spread is calculated as the yields realized on interest-bearing assets less the rates paid on interest-bearing liabilities. Changes in net interest income are attributed to either changes in average balances (volume change) or changes in average rates (rate change) for earning assets and sources of funds on which interest is received or paid. Volume change is calculated as change in volume times the previous rate while rate change is change in rate times the previous volume. Changes not due solely to volume or rate changes are allocated to volume change and rate change in proportion to the relationship of the absolute dollar amounts of the change in each category.
