Yuba City community leader, longtime bank director, businessman, and friend remembered for his counsel, service, and lasting contributions

YUBA CITY, Calif., Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — River Valley Community Bancorp (OTC Markets: RVCB), parent company of River Valley Community Bank (collectively referred to as the “Bank”), today announced with deep sadness the unexpected passing of founding and sitting director Michael C. “Mike” Wheeler, who passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, surrounded by family. Mr. Wheeler was 76.

Mr. Wheeler was a founding member of River Valley Community Bank in 2006 and served continuously on the Board of Directors until his passing. His business judgment, steady leadership, and deep commitment to the Yuba-Sutter community helped shape the Bank’s formation, growth, and enduring focus on relationship-based community banking.

“Mike was more than a founding director of River Valley Community Bank — he was a trusted advisor, a wise counselor, and friend,” said John M. Jelavich, President and Chief Executive Officer of River Valley Community Bank. “His perspective was always thoughtful and grounded in what was best for our customers, shareholders, employees, and community. We are deeply grateful for his many years of service, and he will be greatly missed by all of us.”

“Mike’s contributions to River Valley Community Bank began at its founding and continued through years of thoughtful board service,” said Steve Danna, Board Chair of River Valley Community Bank. “He brought sound judgment and a deep understanding of our community to every discussion. We valued his counsel, his friendship, and his unwavering commitment to the Bank’s mission. His presence will be deeply missed.”

Mr. Wheeler’s service to community banking began decades before River Valley Community Bank was founded. In 1975, he was a founding member of California Independent Bancorp and Feather River State Bank, serving on the boards of both organizations through 2004 and as Chairman of Feather River State Bank from 1988 to 1993. His experience as a local business owner, community banker, and civic leader brought invaluable perspective to River Valley Community Bank’s boardroom.

Beyond his service to the Bank, Mr. Wheeler was widely respected as a longtime Yuba-Sutter business and community leader. After earning his B.A. in Economics and MBA from Stanford University, he returned to Yuba City in 1973 and dedicated more than five decades to the family automobile business, serving as General Manager, President, and Chief Executive Officer. He was also an active supporter of local youth sports, including decades of leadership, coaching, and sponsorship that helped strengthen soccer programs and facilities throughout the community.

River Valley Community Bank extends its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Wheeler’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who were fortunate to know him. His legacy of integrity, generosity, service, and friendship will remain an important part of the Bank’s history and the community he served so faithfully.

At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Wheeler’s memory to the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s, a cause that held special meaning for him in honor of his father.

First-of-its-kind national investment summit hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney will convene global investors managing more than $100 trillion in assets

MONTREAL, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Troilus Mining Corp. (“Troilus” or the “Company”) (TSX: TLG; OTCQX: CHXMF; FSE: CM5), is pleased to announce that the Troilus Gold-Copper Project has been selected for inclusion in the Canada Investment Summit Prospectus, which is being provided to participants attending the inaugural Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on September 14–15, 2026.

The Canada Investment Summit is a first-of-its-kind national investment forum hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney in partnership with CPP Investments and PSP Investments. The Summit will bring together leading global investors, Canadian CEOs and public-sector representatives as part of the Government of Canada’s broader effort to mobilize long-term capital into strategic Canadian industries and assets.

Prime Minister Carney has stated that investors participating in the Summit collectively manage more than $100 trillion in assets, underscoring the scale of the global investment audience being convened in Canada.

Troilus’ inclusion in the Summit Prospectus provides the Project with direct visibility among a significant international institutional investment audience at a pivotal stage of its development. The Prospectus includes information on selected Canadian investment opportunities and contact details enabling interested investors to engage directly with project proponents following the Summit.

In addition, Troilus CEO Justin Reid has been invited by Prime Minister Mark Carney to attend the Canada Investment Summit Welcome Reception on September 13.

Justin Reid, CEO of Troilus, commented, “Troilus’ selection for inclusion in the Canada Investment Summit Prospectus comes at an exceptionally important time for both our Project and for Canada. The federal government is making a concerted effort to attract global capital toward strategic Canadian assets, and we believe Troilus represents exactly the kind of large-scale, long-life project that can contribute meaningfully to Canada’s future production of gold and copper, while generating significant economic benefits here at home. With our updated Technical Report now complete, Troilus has one of the strongest technical and economic foundations in its history, including an after-tax NPV(5%) of US$3.2 billion and an approximately 26-year mine life. As Detailed Engineering, procurement, permitting and project financing advance in parallel, we are entering a defining stage of value creation and welcome the opportunity to increase Troilus’ visibility among some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated investors.”

Troilus at a Defining Stage of Development

Troilus recently announced the results of its updated 2026 NI 43-101 Technical Report, which confirms and strengthens the Project fundamentals established in the 2024 Feasibility Study while incorporating a substantially more advanced level of engineering and cost definition. At long-term base case metal prices, the Project generates an after-tax NPV(5%) of US$3.2 billion, a 22% IRR, a 3.6-year payback period and approximately US$6.9 billion in cumulative after-tax cash flow. At US$5,000/oz gold, the after-tax NPV(5%) increases to approximately US$5.5 billion, with a 31% IRR and 2.6-year payback (see September 9, 2026, press release).

The Technical Report outlines a 26-year, 50,000 tonne-per-day open-pit operation with life-of-mine payable production of approximately 5.63 million ounces of gold, 472 million pounds of copper and 10.88 million ounces of silver. The Technical Report is supported by approximately 95,000 engineering hours, with approximately 90% of pricing inputs validated against current market quotations and AACE Class 3 estimate accuracy across the full Project scope.

Troilus is currently advancing Detailed Engineering, procurement, permitting and project financing in parallel, including a senior secured project financing mandate of up to US$1.2 billion. The Company was also selected in July 2026 as one of the first four mining projects supported through Québec’s new Filon initiative and secured a 70 MW hydroelectric power allocation in June 2026 (see press releases dated July 27, 2026, and June 2, 2026).

About the Canada Investment Summit

The inaugural Canada Investment Summit will take place in Toronto on September 14–15, 2026. Hosted by the Prime Minister of Canada in partnership with CPP Investments and PSP Investments, the Summit will convene leading global investors, Canadian business leaders and public-sector representatives for a two-day forum focused on long-horizon capital, commercial opportunities and productive assets that strengthen Canada’s growth and economic resilience. The Summit forms part of the Government of Canada’s broader effort to strengthen Canada’s investment environment, diversify trade and attract approximately $1 trillion in new investment over the next five years.

Quantum Systems further expands its MOSAIC UXS mission software ecosystem by integrating XTEND’s autonomous capabilities, enabling a growing range of autonomous systems to operate together seamlessly.

London, United Kingdom and Tampa, Florida, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Quantum Systems, a leading global neo-prime for intelligent autonomous systems, and XTEND (NYSE: XTND), a leader in software systems and Physical AI, today announced a partnership to develop and deliver integrated autonomous mission solutions for defence, homeland security and public safety customers.

Quantum Systems is further expanding its MOSAIC UXS mission software ecosystem by integrating XTEND’s field-proven autonomous systems. Bringing together proven technologies from both companies, the partnership enables seamless, interoperable missions across sensing, swarming and strike, while providing operators with an intuitive user experience.

The cooperation is already supporting a joint autonomous systems programme for a European NATO customer, with further customer programmes and demonstrations planned for 2026 and beyond.

The partnership comes as NATO Allies ramp up defence investment. Under commitments made at the 2025 Hague Summit, Allies are targeting 5% of GDP annually in defence spending by 2035, with at least 3.5% allocated to core defence requirements and at least 20% of expenditure directed to major equipment and associated research and development under the Defence Investment Pledge. NATO reports that European Allies and Canada alone increased defence expenditure by more than USD 90 billion in 2025.

“The future of defence autonomy will not be defined by individual platforms, but by our ability to connect sensors, systems and effectors into one operational network,” said Martin Karkour, Chief Revenue Officer of Quantum Systems. “Together with XTEND and through its integration into the MOSAIC UXS software backbone, we are demonstrating how modular architectures can connect complementary autonomous systems into a mission-ready ecosystem – from intelligence collection to mission execution.”

At the heart of the partnership is the integration of XTEND’s XOS operating system and autonomous mission capabilities into Quantum Systems’ MOSAIC UXS mission software ecosystem. Together, the companies aim to enable armed forces and customers across other critical domains to integrate diverse autonomous systems within one operational environment while allowing new operators to become mission-ready within days – dramatically reducing training requirements and accelerating forward deployment.

“Defense is entering a new era where operational advantage will come from connected ecosystems rather than standalone platforms,” said Aviv Shapira, CEO and Co-Founder of XTEND. “As autonomous operations become increasingly software-defined, our customers need mission ecosystems that seamlessly connect intelligence, planning and execution across multiple autonomous assets. By bringing together Quantum Systems’ leadership in autonomous intelligence collection with XTEND’s XOS operating system and autonomous mission capabilities, we’re taking an important step towards making interoperable autonomy the new standard for modern defence operations.”

Quantum Systems and XTEND have recently demonstrated integrated workflows across multiple locations. The partnership will continue to expand interoperability between the companies’ technologies and support modular defence autonomy for European and allied forces.

Forward-Looking Statements

This press release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, including statements regarding the potential benefits of the partnership with Quantum Systems, XTEND’s strategy to extend XOS beyond aerial systems into ground and, ultimately, maritime robotic systems, the anticipated benefits of the XOS ecosystem, the interoperability of robotic platforms within the XOS ecosystem and the timing and scope of future deployments of XOS-powered systems. These statements are based on current expectations and assumptions and involve risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially, including the potential benefits of the partnership with Quantum Systems, XTEND’s ability to extend XOS across additional platforms and operational domains, market acceptance of XTEND’s ground robotics solutions, the timing and size of orders from government and defense customers, compliance with export control and defense trade regulations, geopolitical conditions in the regions in which XTEND operates, and the other risks described under “Risk Factors” in the registration statement on Form S-4 filed with the SEC in connection with the business combination and in Xtend’s other filings with the SEC, available at www.sec.gov. Readers are cautioned not to place undue reliance on forward-looking statements, which speak only as of the date of this press release. XTEND does not undertake any obligation to update or revise any forward-looking statement, whether as a result of new information, future events, or otherwise, except as required by applicable law.
