WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NRx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: NRXP) (“NRx Pharmaceuticals”, “NRx” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, today announced that its subsidiary, HOPE Therapeutics, Inc. (“HOPE”), will be the first Interventional Psychiatry to deploy Zeta Surgical’s newly FDA-cleared Zeta TMS Robotic System, with clinical staff now in training ahead of deployment in Florida.

“Deploying the first FDA-cleared robotic TMS system moves the HOPE model another step from concept to clinical reality,” said Jonathan Javitt, MD, MPH, Chairman and CEO of NRx Pharmaceuticals and HOPE Therapeutics. “Not all TMS is delivered the same way, and the difference between precise, repeatable targeting and approximation is exactly what patients and clinicians should be asking about. With this advance, our clinicians will be able to deliver neurosurgical-grade precision to every patient, in every session, without depending on the patient staying perfectly still or on a technician precisely holding the coil. That same capability is the foundation of our now-FDA cleared SPARC-TMS trial to be conducted in military and civilian settings. Our goal is to achieve measurable, rapid, and durable remission from depression.”

In June 2026, HOPE became the first commercial site in the United States to treat patients with the Zeta TMS Navigation System, which uses AI-driven image guidance to track the patient’s head in real time and show the clinician exactly where the coil sits relative to the MRI-guided brain target. The Zeta TMS Robotic System, which received FDA 510(k) clearance in July 2026, builds on that foundation. It places the coil in a robotic arm, originally approved for neurosurgery, tracks the patient’s movement, and constantly refocuses the TMS energy with submillimeter precision.

The deployment supports SPARC-TMS, NRx’s FDA-approved Phase 2/3 trial of NRX-101 in combination with robotic TMS (NCT07227103). NRx was selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as prime contractor for SPARC-TMS, subject to completion of contracting. The trial is planned across a leading US academic teaching hospital, multiple HOPE Therapeutics clinics, and two military treatment facilities.

TMS is a non-invasive therapy used primarily for treatment-resistant depression, which affects approximately one-third of patients with major depressive disorder. Accurate and repeatable targeting of patient-specific treatment sites is an important component of treatment delivery.

• Company gains further clarity on the additional information required to advance its PMA review

• FDA did not request an additional clinical trial following its 100-day review of the PMA application

• Company does not currently expect a material change to its overall regulatory timeline

TORONTO, Sept. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Spectral Medical Inc. (“Spectral” or the “Company”) (TSX: EDT), a late-stage theranostic company advancing therapeutic options for sepsis and septic shock, today provided an update following its in-person 100-Day Meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) regarding the Company’s Premarket Approval (“PMA”) application for Toraymyxin™ (“PMX”).

As part of its substantive review of the PMA, FDA provided Spectral with a deficiency letter several days prior to the Company’s scheduled in-person 100-Day Meeting. Deficiency letters are commonly issued as part of the 100-day PMA review process and are used by FDA to identify additional information necessary to complete its review of an application. The letter identified a number of items requiring additional information, analyses, testing and clarification and provided the Company with the opportunity to focus the 100-Day Meeting discussion on the items identified by FDA.

The Company considered the meeting constructive. Based on the Company’s understanding of the discussion, Spectral has further clarity regarding the additional analyses, testing and information required to address the outstanding items and advance the PMA review. FDA did not request an additional clinical trial as part of the Company’s response to the deficiency letter. FDA’s official minutes of the meeting are the definitive record of the discussion and have not yet been issued.

“We were pleased with the constructive dialogue with FDA during the in-person 100-Day Meeting,” said Chris Seto, Chief Executive Officer of Spectral Medical. “Receiving the deficiency letter in advance of the meeting allowed us to have a focused discussion with FDA regarding the outstanding items. We came away with a clearer understanding of the remaining work required to advance the review of our PMA and are actively progressing the additional analyses, testing and other activities discussed with FDA.”

Spectral is incorporating FDA’s feedback into its ongoing regulatory activities and is finalizing the associated work plan and timing. Based on its current assessment, the Company does not currently expect the additional activities to result in a material change to its overall regulatory timeline. Spectral will provide further updates as appropriate.

In July 2022, the U.S. FDA granted Breakthrough Device Designation for PMX for the treatment of endotoxic septic shock. Speedtest Intelligence data recognizes Sparklight for internet performance

Ookla® is a global leader in connectivity intelligence and the company behind Speedtest®. Speedtest Intelligence® data is derived from consumer-initiated testing and provides information about how internet connections perform in real-world use.

The recognitions evaluate multiple aspects of fixed internet performance rather than speed alone, including responsiveness, reliability, gaming experience and video experience.

In Arizona, Sparklight earned recognition for fastest download and upload speeds, responsiveness and reliability in the Show Low area; fastest upload speeds in Payson; and fastest download speeds and reliability in Prescott. In Idaho, the company received multiple recognitions for download speed, responsiveness and reliability in Boise, Lewiston and McCall. Fastest upload speed recognitions were also earned by Sparklight in Ontario, Oregon-Idaho and Sandoval County, New Mexico.

Reliable speeds, gaming and video results broaden performance signals

Overall speed is one measure of internet performance, but Speedtest Intelligence® results also assess other aspects of the connectivity experience.

Sparklight earned 16 recognitions for Most Reliable Internet Speeds. The company also received recognition for Best Fixed Gaming Experience in North Dakota and Best Fixed Video Experience in the Albuquerque, New Mexico, area.

Taken together, the categories provide six distinct internet performance measures: download speed, upload speed, responsiveness, reliability in speed, gaming experience and video experience. This gives consumers information beyond a single speed measurement when comparing how fixed internet services perform across different types of everyday use.

Network investment expands capacity and Multi-Gig internet availability

The Ookla results come as Sparklight continues to strengthen and expand its fiber-rich network across the communities it serves.

Over the past three years, the company has invested nearly $1 billion across its 24-state footprint to increase network capacity, expand Multi-Gig internet availability and enhance reliability.

Sparklight also offers Mobile service to its internet customers, providing connectivity at home and on the go.

Company Reviews Significant Ophthalmology, Intellectual Property and Translational Development Milestones Achieved Over the Past Year

Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Sept. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Curative Biotechnology, Inc. (OTC: CUBT) (“Curative” or the “Company”), a development-stage biomedical company advancing topical metformin-based ophthalmic therapies for degenerative eye diseases, today issued the following letter to shareholders and interested investors reviewing the Company’s progress over the past year and outlining its priorities as it advances its ophthalmology platform.

Dear Fellow Shareholders and Interested Investors:

When we last wrote to shareholders in November 2025, we outlined a new strategic direction for Curative Biotechnology centered on advancing our metformin-based ophthalmology platform while establishing a more focused development strategy and capital structure.

Over the past year, we have made meaningful progress toward those objectives. We have expanded our intellectual property portfolio in both the United States and Canada, established an important translational research collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, advanced our human and veterinary development strategies, and completed a significant restructuring of our capital structure.

We believe these milestones have strengthened the scientific, intellectual property and translational foundation supporting our lead metformin-based topical ophthalmic program and positioned Curative for its next stage of development.

Expanding Our Global Intellectual Property Portfolio

During 2026, Curative achieved important intellectual property milestones for its metformin-based ophthalmology platform.

In January, the Company announced that the Canadian Intellectual Property Office had issued a Notice of Allowance for the patent application entitled “Druggable Target to Treat Retinal Degeneration.”

In July, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a Notice of Allowance for U.S. Patent Application No. 17/642,610 covering methods directed to topical ophthalmic administration of metformin for retinal degeneration. The allowed claims include Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), retinal pigment epithelium degeneration, and both Stargardt’s disease and Stargardt’s-like disease, utilizing pharmaceutical compositions formulated for topical ocular delivery as eye drops.

These allowances expand the global intellectual property portfolio supporting technology for which Curative is the exclusive worldwide licensee pursuant to a patent license agreement with the National Eye Institute (NEI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Advancing Translational Ophthalmology Through PennVet

In May, Curative entered into a Sponsored Research Agreement with the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine (PennVet) to support a study evaluating the Company’s metformin-based topical ophthalmic formulation in a canine model of retinal degeneration.

The study, led by Valérie L. Dufour, DVM, MSc, Assistant Professor of Translational Ophthalmology at PennVet, is designed to generate translational data supporting both the Company’s veterinary ophthalmology initiatives and its broader human ophthalmology development strategy.

The veterinary program provides Curative with an opportunity to evaluate its topical metformin platform in naturally occurring retinal disease while also pursuing potential veterinary development pathways. We believe the translational nature of this work may provide important insights applicable to the Company’s broader ophthalmology program.

Advancing the Human Clinical Development Pathway

Curative continues to advance its lead metformin-based topical ophthalmic formulation for intermediate and late-stage Age-Related Macular Degeneration.

The Company’s planned first-in-human clinical study will be conducted by the National Eye Institute under Curative’s Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the NEI. The Company’s development strategy continues to benefit from the scientific foundation established through its relationship with the NEI and the underlying technology developed under the leadership of Dr. Kapil Bharti and his team.

Curative has commenced cGMP manufacturing of its metformin-based topical ophthalmic formulation to produce clinical supply for the Company’s planned first-in-human study. This represents an important step in advancing the program toward clinical evaluation.

Strengthening Our Capital Structure

In March 2026, Curative completed a 1-for-150 reverse stock split of its common stock, reducing approximately 1.02 billion outstanding common shares to approximately 6.8 million shares at the time of the transaction.

The restructuring was undertaken as part of the Company’s broader effort to establish a more appropriate capital structure, improve its positioning within the public markets and support access to a broader range of potential investors as the Company advances its development programs.

Management continues to evaluate opportunities to strengthen the Company’s capital position and engage with potential strategic and institutional investors whose interests align with Curative’s long-term development strategy.

Growing Awareness of Curative’s Drug-Repurposing Strategy

Curative’s metformin ophthalmology program was recently highlighted in a USA TODAY Contributor Content article examining the growing scientific interest in studying established medicines for new therapeutic applications.

The article discusses Curative’s development of a topical metformin eye-drop formulation for retinal disease, the Company’s relationship with the National Eye Institute, and the broader scientific rationale behind drug repurposing.

Read the USA TODAY article: “Why Old Drugs Keep Getting New Research Questions”

We believe growing awareness of Curative’s scientific strategy can help introduce the Company and its development programs to a broader audience of investors, researchers and potential strategic partners.

Looking Ahead

As we look toward the remainder of 2026 and beyond, our priorities are clear.

We intend to continue advancing the clinical and translational development of our metformin-based ophthalmology platform, strengthen the manufacturing and development infrastructure required to support our programs, expand our intellectual property position, and pursue the capital and strategic relationships necessary to move these programs forward.

Drug development requires patience, disciplined execution and access to capital. While challenges are inherent in building an emerging biotechnology company, we believe the progress achieved over the past year has materially strengthened Curative’s foundation.

Our objective remains unchanged: to translate promising science into meaningful therapeutic opportunities while building long-term value for our shareholders.

We appreciate the continued support and confidence of our shareholders as we work toward the next stage of Curative Biotechnology’s development.

Sincerely,
Paul Michaels

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Aurora Mobile Limited (NASDAQ: JG) (“Aurora Mobile” or the “Company”), a leading provider of customer engagement and marketing technology services, today announced that it has partnered with Bank of Hangzhou Co., Ltd. (“Bank of Hangzhou”) to enhance the underlying messaging infrastructure of the bank’s mobile banking systems. Aurora Mobile’s intelligent push notification solution, JPush, has officially been integrated into Bank of Hangzhou’s mobile banking app. The collaboration is designed to support more reliable, timely, and secure message delivery for mobile banking users.

Overcoming System-Level Background Restrictions to Support Millisecond-Level Delivery of Transaction Notifications

As mobile banking services become increasingly sophisticated, push notifications have become a critical underlying capability.

Mobile banking apps have evolved beyond simple account inquiry tools to cover wealth management, lending and full-lifecycle customer engagement. Notifications related to account transactions, large-value transfers and risk confirmations require highly timely delivery.

Mobile operating systems’ background management mechanisms may affect notification delivery. When users switch an app to the background or leave it idle for an extended period, power-saving mechanisms may clear or put the app to sleep, causing transaction notifications sent by the bank’s backend to be blocked or delayed. This can affect the user experience and raise concerns about fund security.

By integrating JPush, Bank of Hangzhou has strengthened its underlying messaging capabilities. JPush supports Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, QuickApp and Web, and integrates Aurora Mobile’s own push channels, FCM, APNs, and system-level push channels from major device manufacturers, including Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Meizu, ASUS and others.

Through standardized APIs, mobile apps can connect to mainstream system-level push channels. Even when a mobile banking app is offline or in the background and subject to system sleep, high-priority financial notifications can still reach users in a timely and reliable manner through native operating system notifications.

Protecting Sensitive Data Through a Secure and Compliant Architecture

The financial industry has strict compliance requirements for the adoption of third-party technology components. Data privacy and information security are non-negotiable.

Aurora Mobile and Bank of Hangzhou have placed security and compliance at the forefront of the design and operation of the entire business process. The Company’s system architecture strictly follows the principle of collecting only the data necessary for the service, while supporting strong encryption throughout the transmission process.

In practice, JPush is strictly limited to serving as a “messaging channel.” It is responsible only for rapidly delivering encrypted instructions and does not parse or access any sensitive banking data contained within them.

This dual layer of physical and logical isolation is aligned with the stringent audit requirements of regulatory authorities regarding data privacy and cybersecurity in financial institutions.

Abstracting Underlying Differences to Free Up IT Resources

In addition to strengthening its messaging capabilities, JPush also helps reduce the operational and maintenance burden on the bank’s technology team.

With numerous mobile device brands in China, push interfaces, platform rules and compliance requirements across manufacturers are frequently changing. Having bank developers connect to and maintain these underlying channels individually would require considerable IT resources.

Through a unified SDK, Aurora Mobile takes on the adaptation and ongoing maintenance of multiple terminals and operating systems.

This allows Bank of Hangzhou’s engineers to move away from cumbersome underlying integrations and devote more of their development resources and attention to core financial product development and the optimization of online business logic.

Bank of Hangzhou’s adoption of JPush represents a practical enhancement of its underlying mobile messaging capabilities, helping ensure that information is delivered reliably, quickly and securely.

Transaction Overview

Pursuant to the Business Combination Agreement, Aperture will acquire Atlantic for a pre-money equity value of $150 million, payable in shares of Aperture, with each share valued at $10.00. The Proposed Business Combination will be structured as a merger, whereby a newly formed wholly owned subsidiary of Aperture will merge with and into Atlantic, with Atlantic surviving the merger and becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Aperture. In consideration for the merger, Aperture will issue 15,000,000 shares of Class A common stock to the current stockholders of Atlantic. The Atlantic stockholders as of immediately prior to the closing will also receive the contingent right to receive up to 6,000,000 additional shares of Aperture Class A common stock (such shares, the “Earnout Shares”), subject to the achievement of the following milestones:

1.             Operational milestone: 3,000,000 Earnout Shares will be issued upon the execution of a binding, arm’s-length lease for the Phase I capacity (5 megawatt) of the Company’s data center, with a tenant that is not an affiliate of Atlantic and whose obligations are not funded or guaranteed by Atlantic or its stockholders, and an initial non-cancelable term of at least seven (7) years
2.             Share price milestones: 1,500,000 Earnout Shares will be issued if the volume-weighted average price of the combined company’s common stock over any three consecutive calendar months equals or exceeds $12.50 per share, and an additional 1,500,000 Earnout Shares will be issued if such volume-weighted average price over any three consecutive calendar months equals or exceeds $15.00 per share

Atlantic stockholders are expected to roll 100% of their equity into the combined company. The transaction is expected to provide up to $102 million in gross proceeds from cash held in the Aperture trust account, assuming no redemptions by Aperture’s public shareholders and before accounting for expected transaction expenses. Prior to the closing of the Proposed Business Combination, Aperture shall de-register from the Register of Companies of the Cayman Islands and transfer by way of continuation out of the Cayman Islands and into the State of Delaware so as to re-domicile as and become a Delaware corporation.

The boards of directors of Atlantic and Aperture have unanimously approved the transaction. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to applicable exchange, regulatory and shareholder approval and satisfaction of other closing conditions.

If any of these risks materialize or our assumptions prove incorrect, actual results could differ materially from the results implied by these forward-looking statements. MADRID, September 11, 2026 /3BL/ -Strong by Form, a deeptech company reimagining wood as a high- performance material, announced the €5.8 million first closing of its €10 million Series A round. The round is led by boisei investments, a subsidiary of boisei labs, a US-based family office and “tech for good” venture studio, and joined by CMPC, the global forestry group that led the company’s seed round, together with VX Ventures, Ternel, Savia Ventures, Teampact Ventures, Axel Carbon, FINSA, and a group of confidential family offices.

  • Strong by Form was one of ten teams that participated in the 2022 cohort of the Biomimicry Institute’s Ray of Hope Accelerator. The Ray C. Anderson Foundation is the keystone partner for the Accelerator.
  • Woodflow-core is the first-of-its-kind wood-based slab, capable of transforming low-grade wood and residues into a high-performance structural element. It spans 10 meters and beyond, and is engineered to match the strength and price of steel and concrete at roughly 80% less weight, while using 75% fewer trees than other engineered-wood products.
  • Woodflow-core targets the $120 billion global concrete slab market. With this innovation the timber construction market can expand its reach 80-fold, as timber becomes a key structural element for data centers, offices and industrial buildings that have been dominated by steel and concrete.
  • The proceeds will be used to install manufacturing capacity in Europe, certify Woodflow-core, and bring it to market within the next two years with construction partners in Spain, France, Germany, and Switzerland.

A slab that lets timber compete with concrete

Concrete and steel are two of the largest sources of embodied carbon in construction, and pouring concrete on-site is one reason the industry’s productivity has barely moved in decades. Timber promised a way out — it stores carbon and can be manufactured off-site — but mass timber solutions have struggled to simultaneously match the strength, span and economics required for large-scale adoption. Strong by Form’s answer is Woodflow-core, a structural slab built to compete on the two things that actually decide what gets built: strength and price, not a sustainability premium.

Strong by Form’s Woodflow technology uses computational design to place structural fiber only where a building actually needs it, mimicking how a tree grows extra material where it’s under load. As a result, Woodflow-core is lighter than concrete and needs up to 75% fewer trees than comparable mass-timber products.

To accelerate adoption, Strong by Form is not aiming to replace concrete and steel everywhere — only where it matters most: the slab, the heaviest element of any building. Construction companies don’t need to change how they build; they keep their methods and swap that single element for a lightweight one, opening the door to hybrid buildings at scale.

The opportunity is large. Concrete slabs are roughly a $120 billion global market, while Cross-Laminated Timber reaches less than $1.5 billion of it. Rather than compete with mass-timber producers, Strong by Form partners with them, which gives those manufacturers a path into a market up to 80 times larger while improving their margins by up to 50%.

The new capital will fund manufacturing capacity in Europe and take Woodflow-core through certification and market entry over the next two years, deploying with construction partners in Spain, France, Germany, and Switzerland.

Andrés Mitnik, CEO and co-founder of Strong by Form, said: “Our mission has always been to prove that wood can compete with concrete and steel on their own terms — not as the sustainable choice, but as the better one. Standing on our first 10-meter slab, next to the team that built it, was the proudest moment of my career. This round means we get to take that slab out of the workshop and into real buildings.”

George Perry, President and founder of boisei labs, said: “Strong by Form is exactly the kind of company we back: deep science applied to one of the largest decarbonization challenges on the planet, with a business model that wins on economics alone, not on goodwill.”

Bernardita Araya, Fund Manager of CMPC Ventures, said: “We have supported Strong by Form since its early stages because of its unique approach to engineering wood inspired by nature, opening new possibilities for wood as a high-performance, resource-efficient material. This milestone reflects the progress the team has achieved and provides an important foundation for the next phase of industrialization and market adoption.”

About Strong by Form

Strong by Form is a deeptech company reimagining wood as a high-performance material. The team is developing Woodflow-core, the first wooden slab as strong as steel and concrete, that’s 80% lighter, made from renewable resources and cost competitive. It’s made to replace steel and concrete in high-rises and industrial buildings. Inspired by the natural fiber-structures of trees, Strong by Form also produces Woodflow-skin, an ultra-thin and strong architectural cladding with unique wave-patterns. It’s sold in the US, UK and Europe and developed in mobility applications with partners such as BMW, NS and Deutsche Bahn. Woodflow-skin is already used in trains and interiors, and could extend to cars and building exteriors, opening completely new use-cases for wood.

Founded in Chile and headquartered in Spain, Strong by Form works with strategic investors and partners including VINCI, CMPC, FINSA, Pfeifer, and Dassault Systèmes. www.strongbyform.com

Notes to editors

Woodflow-core performance figures are based on four-point bending tests on full-scale specimens and finite-element analysis by an independent structural engineering firm, on a 10 x 2.5 meter reference slab at office loading. The product is undergoing European certification; deployments before completion run under project-specific engineering approval. Images and a technical datasheet are available on request.
