Published Phase 1 data in Sexual Medicine strengthen the scientific foundation for Daré Bioscience’s proprietary topical Sildenafil Cream, 3.6%

At the 71 mg topical dose, mean maximum plasma concentration of sildenafil was approximately 187-fold lower than following a 50 mg oral dose

Publication expands peer-reviewed clinical evidence supporting Daré Bioscience’s proprietary topical Sildenafil Cream formulation

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Daré Bioscience, Inc. (NASDAQ: DARE), a purpose-driven health biotech company solely focused on closing the gap in women’s health between promising science and real-world solutions, today announced the publication of results from a Phase 1 clinical study evaluating the safety and systemic pharmacokinetics of topical Sildenafil Cream, 3.6% in healthy adult men in Sexual Medicine, an official journal of the International Society for Sexual Medicine. The article, titled, “An open-label, single-dose, randomized, parallel-group study of the safety and relative bioavailability of topical sildenafil cream vs oral sildenafil in healthy male adults,” discusses findings from the study evaluating a higher and lower dose of topical Sildenafil Cream applied to the penis with and without condom use compared with a 50 mg oral dose of sildenafil. Access the full publication here.

“We are a women’s health company, and that remains at the center of everything we do. One of Daré Bioscience’s core strengths is our ability to apply sophisticated formulation and drug-delivery science to well-understood active ingredients in ways designed to address important gaps in care,” said Sabrina Martucci Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Daré Bioscience. “These peer-reviewed results are exciting because they demonstrate the potential power of that approach. Topical dosing is targeted and has been shown to result in substantially lower systemic exposure than an oral dose of sildenafil. This study in men provided additional clinical insight into our proprietary topical Sildenafil Cream formulation and expanded the evidence supporting its differentiated delivery profile. We believe that knowledge ultimately strengthens the scientific foundation of our work in women’s sexual health while also supporting the broader potential of Daré Bioscience’s formulation.”

The open-label, randomized study enrolled 62 healthy men who received a single dose of either 36 mg or 71 mg of sildenafil in topical cream, with or without condom use, or a 50 mg oral dose of sildenafil in tablet form. The study evaluated safety and systemic pharmacokinetics of sildenafil and its active metabolite, N-desmethyl sildenafil.

The study treatments were well tolerated, with all 14 treatment-emergent adverse events reported during the study characterized as mild. Seven of the 14 events occurred in five participants who received oral sildenafil. There were no serious adverse events, severe adverse events, deaths or discontinuations due to treatment-emergent adverse events.

Importantly, Daré Bioscience’s proprietary topical Sildenafil Cream resulted in substantially lower systemic exposure to sildenafil compared with the oral sildenafil group. Mean maximum plasma concentrations for sildenafil following topical administration (all four Sildenafil Cream dosing groups) ranged from 969 to 1,274 pg/mL, compared with 238,000 pg/mL for the oral sildenafil group. Relative bioavailability of sildenafil following topical administration (all four Sildenafil Cream dosing groups) ranged from 2.55% to 3.20%, suggesting a much lower systemic exposure as compared with the oral sildenafil group.

At the 71 mg topical dose, mean maximum plasma concentration of sildenafil was approximately 187-fold lower than following the 50 mg oral dose, while systemic exposure measured by AUClast and AUCinf was approximately 33-fold and 34-fold lower, respectively. 71 mg sildenafil in 2 grams of cream was the dose tested in a subsequent Phase 2b study of Sildenafil Cream, 3.6% in premenopausal women for treatment of female sexual arousal disorder.

“These Phase 1 findings provide important clinical evidence regarding the potential safety and pharmacokinetic profile of topical Sildenafil Cream in men,” said David Friend, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer of Daré Bioscience. “The substantially lower systemic exposure observed with topical administration is consistent with the rationale for localized delivery of sildenafil and supports continued development of our investigational Sildenafil Cream, 3.6% as a potential differentiated approach for arousal concerns.”

The study was designed as a safety and pharmacokinetic evaluation in healthy men without erectile dysfunction and therefore did not assess efficacy or erectile response. The publication adds to the clinical evidence supporting continued development of Daré Bioscience’s proprietary Sildenafil Cream, 3.6% formulation, which has been evaluated in women with female sexual arousal disorder.

While Daré Bioscience remains solely focused on advancing solutions for women’s health, the Company believes that a broader body of clinical evidence around its proprietary formulations can provide valuable scientific insights that ultimately strengthen the foundation for its work in women’s sexual health. The Phase 1 study in men provided additional clinical evidence characterizing the behavior of the proprietary Sildenafil Cream, 3.6% formulation and Daré Bioscience’s localized drug-delivery approach using sildenafil, a well-characterized active pharmaceutical ingredient. Sildenafil Cream, 3.6% has been clinically evaluated in women with female sexual arousal disorder, the clinically analogous condition to erectile dysfunction in men.

World-first all-in-one energy storage system with Smart Port and Backup Port integration brings greater flexibility, resilience and intelligent energy management to South African homes

SANDTON, South Africa, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sigenergy (06656.HK) today announced the South African launch of SigenStor Neo, its next-generation all-in-one residential energy storage system, at the Herholdt’s Group Summit 2026, held at The Galleria in Sandton.

The launch introduces Sigenergy’s latest residential energy innovation to the South African market, combining energy storage, power conversion, energy management and intelligent control within one integrated platform.

Sigenergy

At the centre of SigenStor Neo is its new Smart Port and Backup Port architecture. As the world’s first all-in-one energy storage system to integrate both a dedicated Smart Port and Backup Port, SigenStor Neo is designed to become the central hub of a broader home energy ecosystem.

For South African homeowners, this creates greater flexibility when building, upgrading or expanding a home energy system. The Smart Port can connect third-party inverters, external generators and EV chargers, allowing different energy assets to work within a more integrated system, while the Backup Port supports extended power supply to household loads during grid interruptions.

20260914-201748

“South Africa is an important market for Sigenergy, with customers increasingly looking for energy solutions that provide greater resilience, flexibility and control. SigenStor Neo represents the next evolution of our residential offering, combining advanced hardware with intelligent energy management in one integrated system. We are excited to officially introduce it to the South African market together with our partners at the Herholdt’s Group Summit.”
— Eon Geldenhuys, Senior Regional Solution & Service Manager – Africa at Sigenergy

The Core of a More Flexible Home Energy Ecosystem

SigenStor Neo builds on Sigenergy’s all-in-one approach by integrating the inverter, battery, power conversion system (PCS), energy management system (EMS) and gateway into a single streamlined system.

The addition of the Smart Port expands this concept beyond energy storage alone. It gives homeowners greater freedom to connect additional energy resources and devices as their requirements evolve.

For a homeowner with an existing inverter, for example, the Smart Port provides a pathway to integrate that equipment rather than treating the new storage system as an entirely separate installation. An external generator can also be incorporated into the wider home energy setup, while EV charging can form part of the same connected ecosystem.

This flexibility is particularly relevant for South African customers who may be upgrading an existing solar installation, adding storage to an established system or planning for future energy requirements.

Rather than designing the home around multiple independent energy devices, SigenStor Neo is designed to bring these elements together around a central energy platform.

Designed for Reliable Backup Power

Alongside its connectivity features, SigenStor Neo has been engineered to provide reliable household backup power.

The system delivers 0 ms load-side disruption and up to 200% peak power output capacity, helping household loads continue operating when grid power is interrupted.

The dedicated Backup Port further strengthens this capability by providing a flexible extended power supply for household loads during unexpected grid outages.

For South African households where backup capability remains an important consideration, these features provide a more integrated approach to managing the transition between grid power, stored energy and other available energy resources.

The Smart Port also enables an external generator to form part of the system, giving homeowners additional flexibility in how backup resources are configured and used.

Storage That Can Grow with the Home

SigenStor Neo has also been designed around modularity and long-term flexibility.

Its architecture supports up to six vertically stacked battery modules, allowing homeowners to configure storage capacity according to their current requirements and expand the system as their energy needs change.

This means customers can start with a system suited to their present electricity consumption rather than necessarily installing their maximum future storage requirement from the outset.

A built-in pack optimiser further supports future expansion by allowing compatible old and new batteries to operate within the same system. The system also incorporates an eight-layer protection architecture designed to enhance safety throughout operation.

For households whose energy requirements may change over time – whether through increased electricity consumption, additional solar capacity or future EV ownership – the modular approach provides a clear pathway for expansion.

Simpler Installation for Energy Professionals

The all-in-one architecture also delivers practical benefits for installers.

By integrating the inverter, battery, PCS, EMS and gateway within one system, SigenStor Neo reduces the need for multiple separate components and associated wiring.

The system uses lightweight modules with lifting handles, a single side cover for wiring, and an optimised terminal layout and installation process designed to reduce deployment time and on-site labour.

For installers, this can simplify deployment while also enabling a cleaner and more compact installation for the homeowner.

Bringing AI into Home Energy Management

SigenStor Neo forms part of Sigenergy’s wider “AI in All” strategy, through which artificial intelligence is integrated across the company’s energy ecosystem.

At the heart of the intelligent management layer is SigenAgent, Sigenergy’s all-domain AI energy agent operating through mySigen App 4.0.

Rather than requiring homeowners to manually manage every operating parameter, SigenAgent enables users to set broader objectives, such as reducing electricity costs or maintaining sufficient backup power. The system can then analyse conditions and automatically coordinate connected hardware in support of those objectives.

This combination of intelligent software and connected hardware allows SigenStor Neo to operate as more than a standalone storage system. It becomes part of a wider home energy ecosystem in which generation, storage, backup resources and connected devices can be managed together.

Introducing the Next Generation of SigenStor to South Africa

The launch of SigenStor Neo at the Herholdt’s Group Summit 2026 provides Sigenergy with an opportunity to introduce its latest residential energy technology directly to South Africa’s solar and energy industry.

The Summit brings together professionals across solar technology, artificial intelligence and business strategy, with Sigenergy participating through technology presentations and relevant project case studies.

Introducing SigenStor Neo at the event also reflects Sigenergy’s continued focus on working closely with local partners, installers and customers as new energy technologies are introduced to the South African market.

Sigenergy

With its combination of all-in-one design, world-first Smart Port and Backup Port integration, modular scalability, backup capability and AI-driven energy management, SigenStor Neo represents the next generation of Sigenergy’s residential energy storage offering in South Africa.

TUCSON, AZ, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Liberty Star Minerals (OTCQB: LBSR) (“Liberty Star” or the “Company”), a U.S. mineral exploration company focused on strategic and commercially important critical minerals in southeast Arizona, today announced that it has engaged Rick Perry, former Governor of Texas and former U.S. Secretary of Energy, to serve as an advisor to the Company’s Board of Directors on critical minerals strategy.

Governor Perry served fourteen years as Governor of Texas, the longest tenure of any governor in the state’s history and later served as the 14th U.S. Secretary of Energy. Throughout his career in public service, Governor Perry has been a consistent advocate for American energy independence and the responsible development of the nation’s natural resources.

Governor Perry’s appointment comes at a critical time for U.S. resource security. China currently controls the overwhelming majority of the world’s processing and refining capacity for rare earth elements and other critical minerals, refining an estimated 90 percent of global rare earths and holding a similarly dominant position in the processing of cobalt, graphite, and gallium. This concentration of supply has left the United States and its allies dependent on a single foreign source for materials essential to defense systems, electric vehicles, semiconductors, and renewable energy technologies.

Liberty Star, through its Hay Mountain Holdings, LLC subsidiary, controls approximately 45 square miles of mineral claims in the Tombstone Mining District of southeast Arizona, encompassing rare earths, critical minerals, copper, molybdenum, and gold targets. The Company believes this consolidated, district scale position is well suited to help rebuild a domestic critical minerals supply chain and reduce U.S. reliance on foreign sources.

“Governor Perry brings a level of energy policy and national security expertise that is rare in our industry,” said Pete O’Heeron, Chairman of Liberty Star Minerals. “China’s grip on the critical minerals supply chain is one of the most significant economic and national security challenges facing this country. Having a leader of Governor Perry’s caliber advising our Board sends a strong signal about what we are building in Arizona and how seriously we take our role in restoring U.S. mineral independence.”

“For too long, the United States has allowed a foreign adversary to control the materials that power our economy, our military, and our future,” said Rick Perry. “Companies like Liberty Star, with real assets in the ground here in America, are exactly what we need to reduce that dependence. I look forward to working with the Board to help advance a domestic supply of critical minerals.”

Liberty Star will provide further updates on Governor Perry’s role and the Company’s critical minerals strategy as they develop.
