Pioneering Carbon Nanotube (CNT) Technology Achieves Stronger, More Sustainable Concrete at Scale

CANTON, Mass. and OLATHE, Kan., Nov. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — CHASM Advanced Materials, a US based technology leader in carbon nanotube (CNT) innovation and manufacturing, together with Terracon, a leading U.S. consulting engineering firm, has successfully completed a green concrete pour demonstration in Wichita,Kansas, at the site of Air Capitol Materials—a major milestone toward scalable, low-carbon concrete that delivers high performance without the “green premium.”

CHASM and Terracon complete Kansas CNT concrete demo—proving stronger, greener concrete without the green premium

This on-site evaluation showcases how CHASM’s most scalable CNT production technology is breaking through long-standing barriers of cost and scalability, enabling the widespread adoption of CNTs in concrete. Leveraging CHASM’s innovative dry dispersion technology, CNTs can be seamlessly integrated into cement mixes without affecting workability, while delivering significant improvements in mechanical performance and long-term durability.

The demonstration also confirmed that NTeC®-C CNT-enhanced concrete pours exceptionally well at scale, exceeding standard industry strength requirements and is expected to demonstrate strong long-term durability, especially under harsh weather conditions. The concrete pad produced with NTeC®-C CNTs will be placed alongside a conventional pad without CNTs for comparison. Terracon and its partners will monitor crack development using embedded sensors on pads located in a high-traffic area with 300–500 daily truck movements from fully loaded 80,000-pound (36-tonne) sand trucks. As winter conditions set in, the NTeC®-C CNT concrete pad is expected to show significantly greater durability and resistance to cracking from freeze–thaw cycles and other harsh environmental conditions compared to the control sample. This marks an important step in validating CNT-enhanced concrete under real-world conditions.

“CHASM’s technology proves that sustainability and performance don’t have to come at a premium,” said David Arthur, CEO and Co-founder of CHASM. “Our partnership with Terracon demonstrates how nanotechnology can transform both the economics and environmental impact of concrete.”

Terracon’s collaboration ensures rigorous field evaluation and performance validation, reflecting their commitment to advancing sustainable engineering practices. The demonstration was conducted by Andale Construction and supported by Air Capitol Materials, whose expertise and work helped ensure a successful execution.

“As a national consulting firm made up of engineers, scientists, and field professionals, we look for innovations that are both practical and impactful,” said David Harwood, Senior Vice President of Terracon. “CHASM’s CNT technology as a clear step forward in building stronger, lower-carbon infrastructure”.

This Kansas pour marks the beginning of CHASM and Terracon’s field-scale validation program—advancing their mission to make green concrete without the green premium a reality for builders, engineers, and developers.

About CHASM

CHASM’s mission is to develop and manufacture advanced carbon nano materials, leveraging its innovative product platforms to create a safer, more connected and sustainable world. The company’s patented nanotube manufacturing platform combined with its unique ability to integrate CNTs into product solutions is unleashing the power of nanotechnology. CHASM’s technology licensing model enables global deployment of this game-changing CNT technology across multiple production sites worldwide

Innovations powered by CHASM include universal transparent heaters for safer driving and a broad range of non-automotive applications, transparent antennas for smarter cities, conductive additives for EV batteries, and cement additives for greener (lower carbon footprint) concrete.

CHASM is building the world’s largest multiwall CNT reactor (1,500 metric tons capacity) in Norman, Oklahoma, to produce NTeC® products to support battery and cement applications.

Thunder Power accelerates integration of Taiwan assets and expands renewable energy portfolio, marking a tenfold increase in solar capacity to advance third-quarter operational objectives and takes first steps toward NASDAQ relisting

WILMINGTON, Del., Nov. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Thunder Power Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: AIEV) (“Thunder Power” or the “Company”), a technology innovator and developer of premium passenger Electric Vehicles (EVs), today provides an update for the third quarter of 2025, highlighting fresh operational progress and expanded strategic activity following previous milestones.

Share Exchange and Integration Progress with Taiwan Affiliate (Electric Power Technology Limited)

The Company is advancing toward finalization of the share exchange agreement with Electric Power Technology Limited (“TW Company”), following approval at the June 2025 annual meeting and completion of prior contractual steps. Further integration and organizational alignment are underway, with closing expected by year end 2025, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.

Solar Power and Clean Energy Expansion

Thunder Power is entering the closing process for the acquisition of 100% equity in 16 solar power plants located in southern Taiwan, tenfold scale-up of managed capacity upon asset transfer from the current 0.5MW to 4.5MW. This added solar capacity and resulting power generation is expected to generate meaningful recurring revenue in excess of NT$20 million per year. Progress continues on establishing operational procedures for the new sites, with due diligence complete and transaction contracts signed.

The Company is evaluating acquisitions of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solar providers, as well as reviewing seven solar power plant projects ranging from 300 kW to 1.5 MW. These steps position Thunder Power for vertical integration and improved margins in renewable energy deployment.

Ongoing Strategic Initiatives

Thunder Power is focused on maximizing value from every new project by using real-world market data, solar production analysis, and government incentives like feed-in tariff programs to drive investment decisions. The team tracks performance for each megawatt added, aiming for strong returns and alignment with Taiwan’s renewable energy targets. Expense management remains a priority as management actively seeks new financing options to invest in energy storage and emerging green technologies.

Christopher Nicoll, Chief Executive Officer of Thunder Power, commented, “We are moving forward toward closing our strategic merger with TW Company and anticipate completing this transaction by year-end. In parallel, we continue to actively pursue new opportunities to add scale and expand our green energy portfolio. Building on the merger with TW Company, in recent months, we have acquired 4.5MW of additional solar capacity and plan to capitalize on the significant demand for clean energy across Taiwan. Our strategic path includes further major solar asset acquisitions in 2026 with a target up to 50MW total. Government policy continues to drive a meaningful shift in power generation, and Thunder Power is committed to being at the forefront of this transition. We look forward to updating our stakeholders as we reach new operational milestones and execute our growth strategy in the coming months.”

Third Quarter 2025 Financial Highlights

  • Revenues were nil, as Thunder Power continued to focus on pre-commercial development of premium electric vehicles.
  • General and administrative expenses were $0.4 million for the quarter and approximately $1.7 million for the nine months. This reduction primarily reflects lower professional and consulting expenses year over year, while expenses continue to reflect ongoing investments in organizational infrastructure, professional services, and public company requirements.
  • Net loss for the three months ended September 30, 2025 was $0.4 million; for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2025, net loss totaled $1.7 million. Loss per share was $0.01 for the quarter and $0.03 for the nine months.
  • Cash on hand as of September 30, 2025 was $16,441. Management has noticed material uncertainty regarding the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern, citing significant operating losses, constrained cash inflow, its delisting from Nasdaq, and uncertainty surrounding its access to the capital markets. Cash used in operating activities for the nine months was $1.4 million, primarily driven by net loss and modest increases in related party and accrued payables.
  • As previously disclosed, the Company’s principal shareholder continues to remain involved in an ongoing legal proceeding, which impacts the Company’s governance and access to financial support. A recent court judgment has introduced significant uncertainty about the shareholder’s future involvement, but the case remains subject to appeal. Management is evaluating pathways to resolve this situation and continues to pursue alternative financing and restructuring options. See Thunder Power’s latest quarterly report for further details.

Commenting on the Company’s financial results, Mr. Nicoll continued, “While Thunder Power has not begun generating revenue, our efforts to streamline operations are evident in the latest results. During the third quarter of 2025, Thunder Power continued disciplined expense management and a year-over-year decline in general and administrative costs, while navigating ongoing M&A transaction due diligence and associated fees as well as our public company reporting requirements. We remain committed to pursuing additional sources of funding to execute on our roadmap, while navigating near-term challenges and building the foundation for sustainable, long-term growth.”

That spirit of community and possibility carried through the evening’s centerpiece moment, the inaugural Beyond Limits Awards, hearing stories from five extraordinary individuals whose work is shaping the future of diabetes awareness, innovation and advocacy.

  • Spotlight Awards: Presented by Love Island’s Jaden Ashley, actor, athlete, philanthropist, and musician Romeo Miller—who broke Michael Jackson’s record as the youngest artist to reach number one (many of us first knew him as Lil’ Romeo)—and The Amazing Race’s Adam Abdin were honored for using their platforms to spotlight diabetes, educate the public, and inspire others to live boldly and without limits. Abdin lives with type 1 diabetes, and Miller’s young daughter also lives with type 1.
  • Innovator in Science & Technology Award: Dr. Per-Ola Carlsson, a professor and endocrinologist from Sweden, was recognized as a trailblazer whose groundbreaking work is accelerating the path toward a cure.
  • The Tech Impact Award, sponsored by Abbott Diabetes Care: Justin Eastzer was honored as a top creator who makes diabetes technology easier to understand and embrace.
  • The Max Stenbeck Global Hero Award: Geethanjali Rangaswamy, an advocate from India, was celebrated for fighting stigma, raising awareness and driving global progress for people living with diabetes.

Reflecting on the evening, Beyond Type 1 CEO Deborah Dugan said, “Since day one, Beyond Type 1 has amplified the voices of the diabetes community because storytelling sparks connection, collaboration and change. Ten years in, we’re building on that foundation, joining forces with bold and unexpected partners to drive impact where it’s needed most.”

The evening also spotlighted the organization’s expanding international work, including new partnerships in India through its Beyond Barriers initiative. The program culminated in a live auction and mission moment—with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting Beyond Barriers—before guests enjoyed a 45-minute headline performance by the Jonas Brothers.

Closing Gaps in Diabetes Care

Through its Beyond Barriers initiative, Beyond Type 1 is reaching people living with diabetes in underrepresented communities across the U.S. and around the world, including India, home to the highest number of children and teens living with type 1 diabetes globally. The need is urgent: The burden of diabetes and its complications is twice as great for low-income and minority populations, and more than 75 percent of adults with diabetes live in low- and middle-income countries where access to diagnosis and care remains limited.

Beyond Barriers partners with local organizations to improve early detection, expand access to care, and foster long-term support—providing financial backing through Innovation Grants, along with education and training that help local programs thrive. To date, the initiative has reached nearly 5 million people worldwide, including 1.9 million across the U.S. and 3 million through pilot programs in India.

This year, Beyond Type 1 announced the U.S. recipients of its Beyond Barriers Innovation Grants: Glucose Guide, Diabetes Insights, Mobile Healthcare Association, Mobile Care Chicago, Hip Hop Public Health, and the Morehouse School of Medicine H.E.A.L. Clinic. The 2025 grants fund projects that expand mobile health and telehealth services, and host community-based screening and education events with local partners in cities including Tampa, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., New York, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, and Dallas.

In India, the organization has provided grants to local partners—Nityaasha Foundation, Gram Jyoti, and Samatvam Diabetes Center—to amplify efforts in high-need regions, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu. Programs will raise awareness of the signs of diabetes, build support networks, and provide education and training for schools, communities, and healthcare providers.

Beyond Type 1 also partners with Risely Health, a virtual coaching and community platform that extends Beyond Barriers’ reach, providing grantees and their communities with lasting connection, education and empowerment throughout the diabetes journey.

Celebrating a Decade of Impact

Since its founding in 2015, Beyond Type 1 has redefined what it means to live with diabetes. Over the past decade, the organization has built the world’s largest digital diabetes community, reaching more than 200 million people worldwide. It has published more than 6,000 multilingual educational resources, invested more than $1 million in community programs and innovation grants, and provided $2 million in college scholarships.

The organization has also created life-saving programs such as GetInsulin.org, Thrive Out Loud screening events and #SeeTheSigns, the largest awareness program for the early signs of diabetes, supported by 4,000 community ambassadors worldwide.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Nov. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) announced that Jitendra Mohan, Co-Founder, CEO; Sanjay Gajendra, Co-Founder, President & COO; and Casey Morrison, Co-Founder, Chief Product Officer, of Astera Labs, a global leader in purpose-built connectivity solutions for enterprise AI, have been named the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2025 National Overall Award winners.

For 40 years, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program has celebrated ambitious entrepreneurs who are transforming industries, impacting communities and creating long-term value. Mohan, Gajendra and Morrison were chosen by an independent panel of judges from a group of 221 Entrepreneur Of The Year regional winners, representing 191 companies across the US. Astera Labs’ solutions are at the core of how today’s data centers support the explosive growth of AI.

“Entrepreneur Of The Year has celebrated the bold leaders who redefine what’s possible for more than four decades. This program honors the many ways entrepreneurs drive our economy — through ingenuity, courage and an unwavering spirit of innovation,” said Andrew (AJ) Jordan, EY Americas Entrepreneur Of The Year Co-Director. “This year’s winners — Jitendra, Sanjay and Casey — embody that spirit. Their breakthroughs in connectivity let data centers across six countries talk to each other at lightning speed, boosting reliability and performance and redefining intelligent infrastructure. We are honored to celebrate them as the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 National Overall Award winners.”

The Astera Labs cofounders recognized a tremendous gap in the market for connectivity solutions to support the growing demands of AI workloads. They embarked on a venture that enables the expanding AI ecosystem’s nervous system to scale and use computer resources more efficiently. While most startups have focused on developing AI accelerators, Astera has addressed the unique challenges encountered by hyperscalers and large-scale cloud service providers.

Since 2017, Astera Labs has offered hardware with embedded software that improves data center observability, enabling predictive analytics for proactive maintenance, resource optimization and enhanced performance. Their commitment to research and development, innovation and cultivating a collaborative workforce — now nearly 500 strong — has been central to their continued success.

“Today’s environment rewards entrepreneurs who can innovate at speed and scale. Astera Labs’ founders have done exactly that, developing purpose-built silicon and software solutions for the world’s leading data centers,” said Anna Horndahl, EY Americas Entrepreneur Of The Year Co-Director. “Their talent strategy, smart market expansion and strong execution make them standout winners in a pivotal moment for AI.”

In addition to Mohan, Gajendra and Morrison, EY US recognized 10 other exceptional Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 National Award winners from nine companies:

  • John V. Oyler, Co-founder and Chairman and CEO, BeOne Medicines, Cambridge, Massachusetts
  • Kate Haviland, CEO, Blueprint Medicines, Cambridge, Massachusetts
  • Don Wenner, Founder and CEO, DLP Capital, St. Augustine, Florida
  • Mitchell Eviston, Founder and CEO, Meristem Crop Performance Group, LLC, Powell, Ohio

  • Walter Driver, Co-CEO and Chairman of the Board, Scopely, Culver City, California
  • Charlie Youakim, CEO and Founder, Sezzle, Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • Nathan Ough, President & CEO, VoltaGrid, Houston, Texas

Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges based on entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact. The program honors original founders who grew their business from inception; visionary CEOs who transformed existing companies with innovation; and family business leaders who modernized legacy models for future success.

This year’s 221 regional winners represent 191 companies that are shaping what’s next for the economy. Collectively, they generated more than $59 billion in revenue over the past year and employ over 189,000 people. Over the last three years, these companies achieved 38% sales growth and expanded their teams by 23%.

“Since the program’s inception, more than 11,000 ambitious entrepreneurs have been part of the Entrepreneur Of The Year community in the US. Over the years, these visionaries have shaped industries, inspired generations and continually redefined what’s possible,” Jordan said. “The Class of 2025 is no exception. Their achievements are a testament to the enduring power of entrepreneurship and the limitless potential of those who dare to lead.”

PINE BROOK, N.J., Nov. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — A.J. Willner Auctions will conduct a major liquidation auction of approximately 700,000 Spanish-language and bilingual books from Lectorum Publications, the largest and longest-running Spanish-language book distributor in the United States. The company is closing its doors after more than 60 years in business, citing dramatic federal funding changes that devastated sales throughout 2024.

Lectorum president and CEO Alex Correa told Publishers Weekly that the company’s downfall was driven by a sudden and severe shift in federal school funding—specifically, changes to Title I allocations, which historically enabled schools to purchase Spanish-language reading materials for bilingual and ESL programs.

“The most critical factor for us was the shift in federal funding policies for schools, in particular regarding Title I funds, intended in part for purchases of books in Spanish,” Correa said.

“Our sales were impacted by 30% during the year, which is hard on an industry that already works with thin margins.”

For decades, Lectorum was a cornerstone supplier to educational institutions across the U.S. In previous years, schools accounted for roughly 60% of the company’s business, and children’s books for grades K–8 represented 70–75% of total sales. After the pandemic, the company’s revenue stabilized at roughly $12 million annually, but the sudden policy shift and corresponding drop in school purchasing proved unsustainable.

With school budgets redirected and Spanish-language book allocations curtailed, Lectorum experienced an unprecedented collapse in demand—forcing the company to wind down operations and liquidate its inventory.

Auction Details

  • Auctioneer: A.J. Willner Auctions

  • Inventory: Approx. 700,000 Spanish-language & bilingual books

  • Categories: K–8 children’s literature, award-winning titles, classroom sets, library editions, trade books, bilingual readers, and more

  • Location: Pine Brook, NJ

  • Timed Online Auction Ends: Dec 4th, 2025.

A Historic Opportunity for Schools, Libraries, Liquidators & Resellers

For decades, Lectorum has been the leading source of Spanish-language literature for U.S. schools, libraries, bilingual programs, and literacy initiatives. The liquidation represents the single largest offering of Spanish-language educational inventory to hit the U.S. market in years.

Buyers will have access to:

  • Pallet lots of new, current-catalog titles
  • Children’s bestsellers and bilingual classics
  • Classroom sets and guided-reading materials
  • Hardcovers, paperbacks, library bindings
  • Publisher overstocks, backlist, and deep inventory across all age groups

About Lectorum Publications

Founded more than 60 years ago, Lectorum Publications was the nation’s largest independent distributor of Spanish-language books, serving public schools, dual-language programs, universities, and libraries nationwide. The company also operated as a publisher and produced Spanish-language editions of major U.S. children’s titles.
