CALGARY, AB, Jan. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ – Westbridge Renewable Energy Corporation (TSXV: WEB) (OTCQX: WEGYF) (FRA: PUQ) (“Westbridge”, “Westbridge Renewable” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Red Willow Solar Inc. (“Red Willow”), has obtained Power Plant and Battery Energy Storage System (“BESS”) Approval (Decision 29258-D01-2026) and a Substation Permit and License for the Birch 1075S Substation (the “Substation”) from the Alberta Utilities Commission (the “AUC”) for its project, Red Willow Solar and Battery Storage Project (the”Red Willow Project” or the “Project”).

The Red Willow Project is the fourth of five Alberta projects of Westbridge to receive power plant and BESS approval from the AUC. The approvals allow Red Willow to construct and operate the Project, located in Stettler Country, Alberta. The Project consists of a solar power plant with an approved capacity of up to 225 MWac, and BESS with capacity of up to 200 MWh and the Substation. Approval is granted subject to provisions by the Hydro and Electric Energy Act and the Alberta Utilities Commission Act. It is anticipated that applications to the AUC relating to interconnection approvals will be filed within the calendar year.

Maggie McKenna, Director and COO, commented,
“We are pleased to announce AUC approval for our Red Willow project, marking another key milestone for Westbridge. This achievement, combined with the previously obtained approvals for Georgetown, Sunnynook, and Dolcy means that we have secured AUC approval for four out of our five projects in Alberta. This progress is a crucial step forward in advancing the Red Willow project towards the Ready-to-Build stage. We wish to extend our thanks to the development team for their expertise and efforts in driving this success, and the AUC for their support.”

Stefano Romanin, Director and CEO, commented:
“This approval is further recognition of the teams proven ability to originate, design and deliver successful approval of greenfield utility-scale Solar and BESS projects. This final regulatory milestone for Red Willow advances the project close to ready-to-build status in just over 3 years.  AUC approval for the Red Willow project confirms our ability to advance high-quality renewable projects from concept to construction readiness. It’s another tremendous achievement by our team and partners.”

The new heat reuse enabled data center, located near to the company’s SWE01 site, will allow customers to deploy seamlessly connected clusters across both locations.

STOCKHOLM, Jan. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — atNorth, the leading Nordic high-density colocation and built-to-suit datacenter provider, has announced its plans to build an additional data center in Stockholm bringing its total number of Nordic data centers to eleven.

The new data center, to be known as SWE02, will be a 30MW metro site built in close proximity to the company’s first state of the art Swedish data center, SWE01, that opened in March 2022. It will be enabled with heat reuse capabilities, allowing excess heat from the data center to be recovered and recycled for use within the local community, in collaboration with Stockholm Exergi.

“We are proud to collaborate with atNorth to recycle heat to meet a local need within Stockholm,” says Peter Sivengård, Business Project Manager, at Stockholm Exergi. “By working together, we can ensure efficient use of our resources and contribute to our country’s circular economy.”

SWE02 will facilitate seamless cluster operations between atNorth’s two campuses in the area and will also offer separation of client workloads that bolster its redundancy and resilience credentials. The site is scheduled to go live in Q4 2027.

“We are delighted that atNorth has chosen the Kista area for an additional energy efficient data center campus that will contribute to the city’s climate efforts,” says Karin Wanngård, Mayor of Stockholm. “The development and subsequent operational phase of this data center will bring employment opportunities for our community and further position Stockholm as a hub for digital infrastructure excellence.”

aNorth’s expansion in the region has facilitated a new electrical substation, that will be constructed by network company Ellevio and will improve the resilience of the electrical network infrastructure for the surrounding area.

“atNorth’s sustainable data center solutions mirror society’s growing need for data resources and the role of electrification to ensure responsible, fossil free operations. Ellevio are pleased to build and provide long-term grid connection and help the SWE02 campus deliver sustainable IT infrastructure for a modern society,” says Nils Rönnbäck, Director Connections Industry and Productions at Ellevio.

“The expansion of our presence in Stockholm is a clear reflection of the growing demand for responsible data center operators who can combine technical excellence with sustainable operations,” said Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson, CEO of atNorth. “As high-performance digital infrastructure becomes increasingly business critical, companies are seeking partners who prioritize energy efficiency, sustainable design, and long-term community impact – values that are deeply embedded in atNorth’s growth strategy.”

The news follows atNorth’s recent announcements, including the expansion of two data center campuses in Iceland and the securing of land in Sollefteå, Sweden for a future mega site. atNorth has also entered into a heat reuse agreement with Vesforbrænding, Denmark’s largest waste-to-energy company, to repurpose excess heat from its DEN01 data center campus, alongside the announcement of colocation partnerships with Nokia, Crusoe and 6G AI Sweden AB.

From the pilot in Soraya’s hometown of Yorkshire to the 2026 season climax at Winter Pride in Maspalomas, Pride This Way captures the unique frequency of the LGBTQ+ movement. Produced in partnership with Jack Horlock of the UK agency Horlock House, Ltd, every episode feels like a fluid DJ set spun by an icon with main character energy who knows everyone—and mixes high‑octane joy with raw storytelling.

“We’re going a lot deeper than just parades with Pride This Way,” says Soraya. “You’ll meet the fam, the history, and the sheer strength that ties us together. Every episode doesn’t just throw you into the noise and colour—it shows you the heart underneath all that sparkle.”

The 2026 season of Pride This Way serves a fierce schedule of global broadcasts (subject to change):

  • United States: Miami Beach, Houston, Provincetown, Los Angeles, New York City, Orlando, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.
  • United Kingdom: London, Birmingham, York, Blackpool, Leeds, and Manchester.
  • Europe & Beyond: Geneva, Ibiza, Madrid, Berlin, Amsterdam, Reykjavik, and Maspalomas.

“I founded Horlock House to bring together brands, talent and festivals that actively support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community,” said Horlock. “We are committed to authenticity and driving positive awareness. This partnership allows us to scale our global advocacy, turning immersive storytelling into tangible support for all communities.”

“This show is a direct transmission from the heart of the global scene,” said Mandy Goldberg, Pride This Way producer who has previously worked with The Washington Post, MediaCom and The Economist. “We’re dedicated to opening doors to inclusive celebrations and enabling the kind of visibility that transforms how people see the world.”
