TORONTO, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Electra Battery Materials Corporation (NASDAQ: ELBM; TSX-V: ELBM) (“Electra” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Garzon Duenas as General Manager and Commissioning Leader, effective today. The appointment strengthens Electra’s operating leadership as the Company prepares to transition its Ontario cobalt sulfate refinery from construction through commissioning, ramp-up and commercial operations.

Construction remains on budget, with select commissioning activities targeted to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, mechanical completion targeted for the second quarter of 2027, full commissioning and production ramp-up expected in the third quarter of 2027, and commercial production targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027.

Mr. Duenas holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering and brings more than three decades of experience managing, commissioning and operating mineral processing plants and refining facilities in Canada and internationally. His background spans cobalt, nickel, copper, platinum group metals, gold and specialty chemicals, with extensive experience in operational readiness, process optimization, team development and the safe transition of processing facilities into production.

“With mechanical completion targeted for the second quarter of 2027, we are now building the team and operating systems needed to commission the refinery and bring it into production safely and reliably,” said Trent Mell, CEO. “Garzon and I have worked together before, and I have seen firsthand the discipline and operating focus he brings. He sets high performance standards, drives continuous improvement and develops the people around him to deliver against those standards. I know what he can deliver and I am confident he is the right leader to help take the refinery from construction through commissioning and into operations.”

As Electra’s General Manager, Mr. Duenas will lead operational readiness and the transition of the Company’s refinery from construction through commissioning, start-up and into steady-state operations. He will be responsible for building and leading the commissioning and operating teams, establishing the systems, procedures and operating discipline required for safe and reliable production, and working closely with the project team to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations.

During his career, Mr. Duenas managed the commissioning and start-up of a 3,000-tonne-per-year nickel and cobalt processing facility in the Philippines that produced high-purity nickel and cobalt salts using leaching and solvent extraction, both core unit operations in Electra’s refinery. He later served as project manager for the engineering, procurement and construction management of a nickel refinery and led the commissioning of a nickel concentrator through to commercial production. He has also overseen concentrator operations of up to 20,000 tonnes per day, water-treatment systems, maintenance programs, operating budgets and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Most recently, Mr. Duenas led mill and surface operations at Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan, where his responsibilities included production management, operational readiness and commissioning, as well as coordinating engineering teams, contractors and operating personnel ahead of start-up. He previously oversaw mill operations at North American Palladium’s Lac des Iles mine in northwestern Ontario, where he is credited with improving recoveries and overall operations for a 15,000 tonne-per-day mill and has also held senior operational and process-management roles with Myra Falls Mine, Canadian Silica Industries, Westpro Machinery and other mineral-processing organizations.

“Electra is at an important point in the development of the refinery, and I’m excited to join the team as we prepare to make the transition into operations,” said Mr. Duenas. “Earlier in my career I commissioned nickel and cobalt leaching and solvent-extraction circuits, and I know that a successful start-up is largely decided before the first feed is introduced. My focus will be on creating a strong operating culture built around safety, reliability and execution, and ensuring our people and processes are ready to deliver as the refinery comes online.”

Electra’s refinery in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, is designed to process approximately 18,000 tonnes of cobalt hydroxide feed per year to produce 5,120 tonnes per year of contained cobalt in a battery-grade cobalt sulfate. A Phase 2 expansion will increase cobalt-hydroxide throughput to approximately 22,500 tonnes per year, or 68 tonnes per day, to produce 6,500 tonnes per year of contained cobalt. Once commissioned, the facility is expected to be North America’s first battery-grade cobalt sulfate refinery, providing a domestic source of refined cobalt and adding to the continent’s critical minerals processing supply chain. The refinery is expected to be a cornerstone of Electra’s broader strategy to build a potential North American critical minerals processing platform and reduce reliance on foreign refining capacity.

The Company also announces that in accordance with its Long-Term Incentive Plan, and in connection with this appointment, the Company will issue 150,000 incentive stock options, adjusted for the closing price as of October 5, 2026. The stock options will vest in two equal tranches on the first and second anniversary of the grant date over a three-year period. The grant is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Long-term incentive grants are an important retention and incentive tool for key employees, and a mechanism to align interests with shareholders.

Two-year extension builds on productive relationship established in 2019

Nurix continues to retain co-development and 50/50 profit sharing options on up to two programs in the United States

BRISBANE, Calif., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nurix Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: NRIX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of targeted protein degradation medicines, today announced that Nurix and Gilead Sciences have agreed to extend the research term for an undisclosed oncology program within the companies’ ongoing strategic collaboration by an additional two years. This is the second two-year extension of the research term for this program.

“Gilead’s decision to extend the research term for this program reflects our longstanding commitment to productive collaborations, the outstanding dedication of our research teams, and the potential of Nurix’s targeted protein degradation platform to generate novel medicines against therapeutically important targets,” said Gwenn M. Hansen, Ph.D., chief scientific officer of Nurix. “Our collaboration has already advanced GS-6791, an oral IRAK4 degrader discovered by Nurix, into clinical development, and we are pleased to continue working with Gilead to discover and advance additional drug candidates across oncology and inflammatory diseases. This extension provides further evidence of the value of the collaboration and the capabilities of our platform.”

Under the collaboration agreement, originally established in 2019, Nurix is deploying its proprietary drug discovery platform to identify novel agents that use E3 ligases to induce degradation of specified drug targets. Gilead has an option to license drug candidates resulting from the collaboration, and Nurix retains options for 50/50 profit and loss sharing for development, commercialization, and co-detailing on up to two programs in the United States, subject to certain restrictions. For programs in which Nurix exercises its option, the parties will share U.S. development costs as well as profits and losses 50/50, and Nurix will be eligible to receive royalties on ex-U.S. sales and reduced milestone payments.

In connection with today’s announcement, Nurix will receive a $10 million research term extension fee under the amended collaboration agreement. As of May 31, 2026, Nurix is eligible to receive up to approximately $1.3 billion in total payments based on certain additional fees, payments and the successful completion of certain preclinical, clinical, development and sales milestones. Nurix is also eligible to receive mid-single-digit to low-teens percentage tiered royalties on annual net sales from any commercial products. The first program licensed by Gilead under this agreement, GS-6791 (NX-0479), is a potent, selective, oral IRAK4 degrader which is now in Phase 1 clinical development.

First and Only FDA-Approved Nasal Spray for Dry Eye Disease Adds a Differentiated, Drop-Free Treatment Option to Harrow’s Growing Ocular Surface Franchise

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Harrow (Nasdaq: HROW), a leading provider of ophthalmic disease management solutions in North America, today announced that it has closed its previously announced acquisition of TYRVAYA® (varenicline solution) nasal spray 0.03 mg from Viatris Inc., a global healthcare company. At closing, Harrow acquired worldwide rights to TYRVAYA, except for Japan. Viatris retained the rights to commercialize TYRVAYA in Japan and agreed to pay Harrow royalties on any future net sales there. Consistent with the terms announced in August, Harrow paid $30 million in cash at closing and may pay up to $70 million in contingent milestone payments tied to TYRVAYA’s net sales, for potential total consideration of up to $100 million. The closing payment was funded with cash on hand.

TYRVAYA is a cholinergic agonist indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease (DED) and is the first and only FDA-approved nasal spray for DED. Unlike topical ophthalmic therapies, TYRVAYA is administered through the nose and is thought to activate the trigeminal parasympathetic pathway to stimulate basal tear production. TYRVAYA is approved in the U.S., China, and Taiwan, with marketing applications pending in additional markets.

The addition of TYRVAYA meaningfully expands Harrow’s position in the large and growing U.S. dry eye market and complements VEVYE®, Harrow’s flagship prescription therapy for DED. With two highly differentiated branded prescription products, Harrow believes it can give eyecare professionals greater flexibility to individualize treatment based on their patients’ needs and preferences.

“Today marks an important step forward for Harrow and for the physicians and patients we serve,” said Mark L. Baum, Chief Executive Officer of Harrow. “Dry eye disease is complex and multifactorial, and there is no single treatment approach that works for every patient. VEVYE and TYRVAYA approach dry eye differently and give eyecare professionals two distinct tools from one organization committed to serving this market. VEVYE remains the cornerstone of our dry eye franchise, while TYRVAYA gives us an established, complementary prescription brand with a unique route of administration and an existing base of physicians who know and use the product.”

Baum added, “We see a significant commercial opportunity ahead. TYRVAYA comes to Harrow with meaningful physician awareness, an established prescription base, and years of real-world clinical experience. By combining that foundation with Harrow’s expanding Ocular Surface commercial organization, market access capabilities, and focus on patient access and affordability, we believe we can introduce TYRVAYA to many more eyecare professionals and patients while also expanding awareness of VEVYE among existing TYRVAYA prescribers.”

Expanding Harrow’s Ocular Surface Commercial Platform

TYRVAYA will be available to eyecare professionals through Harrow’s commercial organization immediately after closing. As part of the acquisition, Harrow expects approximately 40 experienced personnel from Viatris, with established knowledge of TYRVAYA and the dry eye market, to join and augment Harrow’s existing Ocular Surface commercial team. Harrow expects to onboard these new colleagues during the fourth quarter of 2026. Harrow’s expanded Ocular Surface team will support both VEVYE and TYRVAYA as the integration progresses.

Harrow believes the combination of two differentiated dry eye brands and a larger, experienced field organization create several attractive commercial opportunities:

  • Expanded prescriber reach: The approximately 40 personnel expected to join Harrow will materially increase the size of Harrow’s Ocular Surface team, expanding its reach and frequency of engagement with ophthalmologists and optometrists who manage dry eye disease.
  • Broader portfolio engagement: TYRVAYA brings an established prescriber base and meaningful familiarity among eyecare professionals. Bringing VEVYE and TYRVAYA together creates opportunities to deepen engagement across both brands and expand utilization across Harrow’s dry eye portfolio.
  • Commercial efficiency: Both VEVYE and TYRVAYA utilize PhilRx as their primary specialty pharmacy and will be supported by a single Ocular Surface commercial organization, allowing Harrow to leverage shared commercial, market access, patient-support, and operational infrastructure across both brands.

Harrow expects TYRVAYA to contribute more than $30 million in revenue in 2027. With commercial integration beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026, Harrow believes TYRVAYA’s established prescription base, physician awareness, and experienced commercial team, combined with Harrow’s dedicated Ocular Surface infrastructure, provide a strong foundation for growth in 2027 and beyond.

“TYRVAYA is a product I have used extensively in my dry eye practice, and its nasal route of administration makes it a truly differentiated treatment option,” said Laura Periman, MD, a board-certified ophthalmologist at Periman Eye Institute. “For patients who struggle with eye drops or contact lens wearers who want an option that does not require removing their lenses, TYRVAYA can fit very well into their treatment routine. I have seen firsthand the value of stimulating a patient’s own tear production, and I am pleased to see TYRVAYA become part of Harrow, a company deeply committed to eyecare and patient access.”

“VEVYE has become an important option in my dry eye practice because of the clinical benefits it can provide, and TYRVAYA is another therapy I know well and have prescribed for years,” said Paul Karpecki, OD, Director of Cornea and External Disease at Kentucky Eye Institute. “The two products approach dry eye very differently: VEVYE is applied directly to the ocular surface, while TYRVAYA is administered nasally and stimulates natural tear production through a distinct mechanism. Having therapies with different mechanisms and routes of administration gives me greater flexibility to individualize treatment based on each patient’s needs. I’m pleased to see both products together at Harrow, giving physicians more options for patients with this chronic disease.”

Eyecare professionals can send TYRVAYA prescriptions using their electronic medical record (EMR) software directly to Harrow’s dedicated pharmacy partner, PhilRx. Prescriptions can also be sent to any retail pharmacy. TYRVAYA is fully stocked in the wholesale distribution channel, including McKesson, Cardinal, and Cencora, and can be shipped to any retail pharmacy, generally within 24 hours of order placement.

Interested patients should ask their trusted eyecare professional whether TYRVAYA and VEYVE are right for them.

John Black, Chief Executive Officer of Aldebaran, commented: “A mineralized interval exceeding 1.7 kilometres in a single drill hole underscores the immense scale of the Altar system. As we move toward our updated mineral resource estimate, we will be incorporating more than 40,000 m of drilling completed at the main Altar deposit since the last resource estimate in late 2024, as well as approximately 30,000 m of drilling completed at the adjacent Radio Porphyry target. Radio Porphyry has never been included in a mineral resource estimate, making this an important milestone for the project. We believe the 2026 resource update will better demonstrate the scale and growth potential of the broader Altar Project and position us well for the Pre-Feasibility Study scheduled for completion in 2027.”

Kevin B. Heather, Chief Geological Officer of Aldebaran, commented: “With the release of this final batch of drill hole results, the Altar project continues to amaze us with long continuous intervals of copper mineralization. The 2025-2026 drilling campaign results have exceeded our expectations, and while we were waiting on these final results to arrive, we have been busy refining and improving our geological and geotechnical models based on this recent drilling. Collectively this bodes well for the upcoming mineral resource estimate and the pre-feasibility study.”

Table 1 below shows detailed assays for all thirteen holes. Figure 1 displays a plan map of the completed drill hole locations, while Figures 2 to 11 display cross sections of the holes reported herein.

The grades are uncut. CuEq values were calculated using copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum. Metal prices utilized for the calculations are Cu = US$3.00/lb, Au = US$1,400/oz, Ag = US$18/oz, and Mo = US$10/lb. Recoveries used for the supporting metals found in the CuEq equation are as follows: Au = 50%, Ag = 51%, (based on historical metallurgical test work) and Mo = 70% (benchmarking from similar deposits). The formula utilized to calculate equivalent values is CuEq % = Cu % + (Au g/t * 0.34025) + (Ag g/t * 0.00446) + (Mo ppm * 0.00023). Intervals represent true thickness of the deposit.

About Aldebaran Resources Inc.

Aldebaran is a mineral exploration company that was spun out of Regulus Resources Inc. in 2018 and has the same core management team. Aldebaran holds an 80% interest in the Altar copper-gold project in San Juan Province, Argentina. The Altar project hosts multiple porphyry copper-gold deposits with potential for additional discoveries. Altar forms part of a cluster of world-class porphyry copper deposits which includes Los Pelambres (Antofagasta Minerals), El Pachón (Glencore), and Los Azules (McEwen Copper). In November 2024, the Company announced an updated mineral resource estimate for Altar, prepared by Independent Mining Consultants Inc. and based on the drilling completed up to and including the 2023-24 field season (independent technical report prepared by Independent Mining Consultants Inc., Tucson, Arizona, titled “Technical Report, Estimated Mineral Resources, Altar Project, San Juan Province, Argentina“, dated December 31, 2024 – see news release dated November 25, 2024). In October 2025 the Company announced a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Altar Project (independent technical report prepared by SRK Consulting Inc, Denver, Colorado, titled “NI 43-101 Technical Report Preliminary Economic Assessment Altar Project San Juan, Argentina”, dated September 30, 2025 – see news release dated October 30, 2025).

Sampling and Analytical Procedures

Altar follows systematic and rigorous sampling and analytical protocols which meet and exceed industry standards. These protocols are summarized below and are available on the Aldebaran website at www.aldebaranresources.com.
All drill holes are diamond core holes with PQ, HQ or NQ core diameters. Drill core is collected at the drill site where recovery and RQD (Rock Quality Designation) measurements are taken before the core is boxed and transported to the Altar camp facilities, a short distance away, where the whole core is photographed under more optimum lighting conditions and geological quick log is produced. The whole-core is then marked and sampled into geological defined, systematic 1- to 2-metre sample intervals, unless the geologist determines the presence of an important geological contact, which should not be crossed. The whole-core is then cut-in-half with a diamond saw blade, with half the sample retained in the core box for future reference and the other half placed into a pre-labelled plastic bag, sealed with a two plastic security zip ties, and labeled with a unique sample number. The bagged samples are then placed into larger plastic sacks, and those sacks are sealed with another plastic security zip tie and labelled for shipment. The sacks are then placed onto wooden pallets and wrapped in plastic shrink-wrap and stored in a secure area pending shipment to a certified ALS laboratory sample preparation facility located in Mendoza, Argentina, where the samples are dried, crushed, and pulverized. The resulting sample pulps are sent by batch to the ALS laboratory in Lima for geochemical assay analysis, including a 30g fire assay with an atomic absorption (AA) finish analysis for gold and a full multi-acid digestion (4-acid) with ICP-AES analysis for other elements. Samples with results that exceed maximum detection values for gold are re-analyzed by fire assay with a gravimetric finish and other elements of interest are re-analyzed using precise ore-grade ICP analytical techniques. Aldebaran independently inserts certified control standards (Super Certified Reference Materials (SCRM’s), coarse field blanks, and duplicates into the sample stream to monitor data quality. These control samples represent 10-12% of the total samples submitted and are inserted “blindly” to the laboratory in the sample sequence prior to departure from the Aldebaran facilities.

Composition of matter provides U.S. protection through Sept. 6, 2044, as forazapadin advances in Phase 2 development

TORONTO, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Satellos Bioscience Inc. (NASDAQ: MSLE, TSX: MSCL), a clinical-stage drug development company developing potentially life-improving medicines to treat degenerative muscle diseases, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 12,747,245, entitled “AP2 associated kinase 1 inhibitors and uses thereof.” The patent includes composition of matter claims covering forazapadin, Satellos’ lead clinical-stage drug candidate, as well as a broader class of AAK1 inhibitors and related compounds within the company’s muscle regeneration platform.

The composition of matter patent provides intellectual property protection through Sept. 6, 2044. In addition, the company may be eligible for a Patent Term Extension for forazapadin following future U.S. marketing approval, potentially extending patent protection beyond the current expiration date.

“The issuance of this composition of matter patent represents a significant advancement for Satellos and supports our long-term development and commercialization strategy for the program,” said Frank Gleeson, co-founder and chief executive officer of Satellos. “As the strongest form of patent protection for a pharmaceutical product, this patent reinforces the novelty of our approach to restoring muscle regeneration and strengthens our intellectual property (IP) estate surrounding forazapadin. We intend to continue to build on this foundational IP as we advance forazapadin in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and other degenerative muscle diseases.”

Following potential U.S. marketing approval of forazapadin, the company intends to seek to have this patent listed in the Food and Drug Administration’s Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations, commonly known as the Orange Book.

ABOUT FORAZAPADIN
Forazapadin is a proprietary, oral, small molecule drug candidate being developed by Satellos as a novel approach to regenerating skeletal muscle lost in degenerative muscle diseases or injury conditions. Forazapadin targets AAK1, a key protein identified by Satellos as believed to be capable of helping restore the body’s natural muscle repair and regeneration biology, a fundamental process that is disrupted in DMD, FSHD and other degenerative conditions. By inhibiting AAK1, forazapadin treatment aims to re-establish a biochemical signal believed to be involved in supporting muscle regeneration. Satellos is advancing forazapadin as a potential treatment for DMD that is independent of dystrophin and applicable regardless of exon mutation status as either a stand-alone or adjunctive therapy, with ongoing Phase 2 clinical studies including BASECAMP, a global, randomized, placebo-controlled study in pediatric participants, and TRAILHEAD, an open-label study in adult participants. A Phase 2 clinical study to evaluate the safety, efficacy and tolerability of forazapadin in adults with FSHD is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

ABOUT SATELLOS BIOSCIENCE INC.
Satellos is a clinical-stage drug development company focused on restoring natural muscle repair and regeneration in degenerative muscle diseases. Through its research, Satellos has developed forazapadin, an orally administered small molecule AAK1 inhibitor designed to address deficits in muscle repair and regeneration. TALON, D-FLY and Counter-UAS Concepts Designed to Integrate Aerial ISR, Logistics, Strike and Interception with STRATUM Ground and Command Systems; All Programs Remain in Development

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — VisionWave Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: VWAV) (“VisionWave” or the “Company”) today highlighted the aerial and counter-unmanned aircraft system (“counter-UAS”) layer of its developing autonomous defense ecosystem.

VisionWave’s aerial architecture is being designed to support tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (“ISR”), logistics, strike, counter-UAS and other mission applications, while interoperating with the Company’s STRATUM ground platforms and command architecture.

The Company’s currently contemplated aerial development programs, none of which is in production, commercially available or the subject of a customer order, include:

TALON 10 — tactical ISR and surveillance;

TALON HEAVY LIFT 40 — aerial logistics;

TALON 10 STRIKE — FPV strike configuration;

TALON GUARDIAN — two-stage payload-release architecture;

TALON SHOOTER — gimbaled precision-support configuration; and

D-FLY and counter-UAS concepts — designed around autonomous interception and layered counter-UAS response.

“We believe modern autonomous operations increasingly require ground vehicles, aerial platforms, sensors and counter-UAS systems to operate from the same intelligence picture,” said Douglas Davis, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of VisionWave. “Our development strategy is focused on creating that interoperability from the outset.”

One Mission Picture

VisionWave’s architecture is intended to allow aerial assets to launch from or operate alongside ground elements, perform missions and share information through a common operating environment.

The Company ultimately intends for ground and aerial systems to be tasked through one mission picture and one operator control architecture.

Pursuing Counter-UAS Opportunities

VisionWave is pursuing opportunities in counter-UAS and related defense markets in the United States and internationally. The Company has submitted proposals in response to U.S. Government counter-UAS solicitations. No award has been made to the Company, and there can be no assurance that any proposal will result in an award. The Company is also engaged in preliminary, non-binding discussions with a European defense ministry regarding a possible counter-UAS interceptor trial. No agreement has been reached, no terms have been agreed, and there can be no assurance that any trial, contract or order will result.

“Our strategy is to build beyond the interceptor itself,” Davis added. “Detection, classification, decision support, autonomous platforms and effectors ultimately need to function together. That is the architecture we are pursuing.”

The systems and capabilities described herein are under development or exist only as concepts. None is in production or commercially available, none has generated revenue, and none should be understood as a commercially deployed capability. Their development, testing, demonstration, export and sale are subject to regulatory, export-authorization and procurement requirements, and there can be no assurance that any of them will be completed, will achieve their intended performance or will result in a customer order.

The Agency reiterated its commitment to addressing the unmet need for treatment of congenital and tumor-related hyperinsulinism and to serving these patient communities

On track to report topline results for the Phase 3 upLIFT study in tumor HI this quarter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Rezolute, Inc. (Nasdaq: RZLT) (“Rezolute” or the “Company”), a late-stage ultra-rare disease company focused on treating refractory hypoglycemia caused by any form of hyperinsulinism (“HI”), today announced that following a preliminary review of detailed data from the Phase 3 sunRIZE study of ersodetug for the treatment of hypoglycemia due to congenital HI, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA” or “Agency”) recommended a pre-BLA meeting with the Company as a precursor to submitting a BLA.

As previously reported, sunRIZE, a Phase 3, multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled safety and efficacy study of ersodetug for the treatment of congenital HI, demonstrated glycemic improvements, but did not meet the primary endpoint because the reductions in hypoglycemia events by finger-stick self-monitored blood glucose (SMBG) were not statistically significant compared to placebo. Although the key secondary endpoint of time in hypoglycemia by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) was not met in the Week 24 End-of-Treatment evaluable window, consistent and clinically relevant improvements in hypoglycemia were observed for this and multiple other CGM-based hypoglycemia endpoints in both treatment arms.

At a March 2026 Type B meeting with FDA, the Agency acknowledged the challenges posed by behavioral factors in clinical trials in this patient population, including limitations associated with SMBG based measures of hypoglycemia. At the meeting, the Agency requested that the Company provide the continuous CGM data for its independent review. In June 2026, the Company submitted source and analysis datasets, and summary results from a substantial number of pre-specified, post-hoc, and sensitivity analyses.

The Agency has reviewed the data and, despite the trial’s failure to meet the prespecified primary and key secondary endpoints, as a next step, encouraged the Company to request a Type B pre-BLA meeting as a precursor to submitting a BLA for congenital HI. The Agency explicitly did not opine on the approvability of ersodetug for congenital HI and noted that any such determination would only be made as a part of an in-depth evaluation of the supporting data during a formal BLA review, as is customary during a BLA process.

In light of expected topline results this quarter from the Company’s upLIFT study in tumor HI and the potential for an additional pre-BLA meeting for that indication should the study results support a submission, the Company will evaluate its overall BLA submission strategy for potentially both programs following the announcement of upLIFT study results.

“We appreciate FDA’s thorough review of the extensive body of data generated in sunRIZE and are encouraged by the Agency’s recognition that this data will require in-depth evaluation during a formal BLA review,” said Nevan Charles Elam, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Rezolute. “We share FDA’s commitment to addressing the significant unmet needs of individuals living with rare diseases like congenital HI, where traditional drug development can present unique challenges. We believe this unusual process of preliminary review of detailed data demonstrates what can be achieved when regulators, companies, clinicians, and advocacy organizations work collaboratively to evaluate the totality of evidence for promising rare disease therapies.”

“For many people living with congenital hyperinsulinism, the threat of severe and unpredictable hypoglycemia remains a daily reality, and existing treatments are not enough,” said Julie Raskin, Chief Executive Officer of Congenital Hyperinsulinism International (CHI). “We are encouraged by the progress toward potential new therapies and grateful to the patients, families, researchers, clinicians, regulators, and biotechnology companies working together to bring better options to our community.”

The open-label extension (OLE) phase of the study is ongoing, with a continued high retention rate, equating to an ersodetug treatment duration in sunRIZE ranging from approximately nine months to well over two years. This, along with continued glycemic control and a notable reduction in the use of background standard of care therapies, potentially indicate continued glycemic and clinical benefit with ersodetug in longer-term use.

About Ersodetug

Ersodetug is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds allosterically to the insulin receptor to decrease receptor over-activation by insulin and related substances (such as IGF-2) in the setting of hyperinsulinism (HI), thereby improving hypoglycemia. Because ersodetug acts downstream from pancreatic insulin or paraneoplastic IGF-2 secretion and from entero-incretin pathways, it has the potential to be universally effective at treating refractory hypoglycemia due to any form of hyperinsulinism (HI), including congenital HI, tumor HI (insulinoma, non-islet cell tumors) or bariatric/non-bariatric gastrointestinal surgery hypoglycemia. Ersodetug for the treatment of HI is investigational. Statements about safety and efficacy have not been approved by any health authority.

Forward-Looking Statements

This release, like many written and oral communications presented by Rezolute and our authorized officers, may contain certain forward-looking statements regarding our prospective performance and strategies within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. We intend such forward-looking statements to be covered by the safe harbor provisions for forward-looking statements contained in the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 and are including this statement for purposes of said safe harbor provisions. Forward-looking statements, which are based on certain assumptions and describe future plans, strategies, and expectations of Rezolute, are generally identified by use of words such as “anticipate,” “believe,” “estimate,” “expect,” “intend,” “plan,” “project,” “seek,” “strive,” “try,” or future or conditional verbs such as “could,” “may,” “should,” “will,” “would,” or similar expressions. These forward-looking statements include, but are not limited to, the overall BLA process, the potential efficacy of ersodetug in treating hypoglycemia as well as our ability to complete enrollment of the upLIFT study this year and announce topline results. Our ability to predict results or our plans or strategies is inherently uncertain. Notably, despite the FDA encouraging us to request a pre-BLA meeting for congenital HI, there can be no assurance that FDA will agree with the Company that the totality of evidence from the sunRIZE program demonstrates a clinically meaningful benefit or is sufficient to support the approval for ersodetug in congenital HI. Accordingly, FDA may determine that additional clinical data, including data from a new randomized controlled trial similar to sunRIZE, are required to support approval. Should the Agency make such a determination, it would adversely impact the timing and feasibility of approval for the congenital HI indication as well as the the commercial potential for ersodetug. Actual results may differ materially from anticipated results. Readers are cautioned not to place undue reliance on these forward-looking statements, which speak only as of the date of this release. Except as required by applicable law or regulation, Rezolute undertakes no obligation to update these forward-looking statements to reflect events or circumstances that occur after the date on which such statements were made. Important factors that may cause such a difference include any other factors discussed in our filings with the SEC, including the Risk Factors contained in Rezolute’s Annual Report on Form 10-K and Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q, which are available at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s website at www.sec.gov. You are urged to consider these factors carefully in evaluating the forward-looking statements in this release and are cautioned not to place undue reliance on such forward-looking statements, which are qualified in their entirety by this cautionary statement.
