TORONTO, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Osisko Gold Group Inc. (NYSE: OGG, TSXV: OGG) (“Osisko Gold” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce new results from its ongoing definition infill drilling program on 10-15 metre (“m“) target spacing totaling 3,933 m in 36 holes drilled from the 1290 m level in the Lowhee Zone of the Company’s flagship, permitted, 100%-owned Cariboo Gold Project (the “Project“), currently under construction in central British Columbia, Canada.

Chris Lodder, President, stated, “Ongoing underground infill drilling continues to strengthen our confidence in the Lowhee Zone of the Cariboo Gold deposit. Intercepts outside the modelled reserve stopes also suggest potential for resource conversion and upside mineralization, reinforcing the Cariboo Gold Project’s potential as underground development advances into new zones.”

Corporate Updates

  • In connection with the ongoing construction of the Cariboo Gold Project, the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd., has awarded the continuing underground mine development and related works contract to current contractor JDS Energy & Mining Inc. (“JDS“) effective October 5, 2026.
  • The Company also announces that it has granted an aggregate of (i) 72,700 stock options of the Company (the “Options“), and (ii) 553,700 restricted share units of the Company (“RSUs“) to certain newly hired senior officers and non-executive employees (collectively, the “Incentive Awards“), pursuant to the Company’s omnibus equity incentive plan (“Omnibus Plan“). The Incentive Awards are designed to align the interests of the recipients with those of shareholders and support the execution of the Company’s long-term growth strategy. The Options are exercisable at a price of C$4.00 per common share of the Company (based on the October 2, 2026, closing price on the TSX Venture Exchange) and will expire on October 5, 2031. The Options will vest in three equal installments over the next three years. The RSUs will cliff vest on October 5, 2029, and are subject to time and performance conditions.

ABOUT LOWHEE ZONE

Geological mapping and geochemical sampling were carried out on Barkerville Mountain from 2017-2018, with the Lowhee Zone identified as a high-priority drill target. From 2019 to 2022, a total of 167 surface drill holes were completed, totaling 54,494.5 m.

The Lowhee Zone is accessed through the Cow portal on the northwestern flank of Barkerville Mountain (Figure 3 and Figure 4). Cow portal construction was completed in Q4 2024 and development of the underground ramp into the Lowhee Zone commenced in Q1 2025. The probable mineral reserves estimate for the Lowhee Zone (with an effective date of April 10, 2025) includes 104,491 ounces of contained Au (923,162 tonnes grading 3.52 g/t Au) and represents approximately 5% of the total contained gold in the estimated probable mineral reserves for the Cariboo Gold Project.

ABOUT CARIBOO GOLD PROJECT

The Cariboo Gold Project is a permitted, 100%-owned feasibility-stage project currently under construction located in the historic Wells-Barkerville mining camp of central British Columbia, Canada. Spanning approximately 186,740 hectares, the Company’s land package includes 443 mineral titles and covers an area that extends approximately 77 kilometres from northwest to southeast. In late 2024, the Project was granted the Mines Act and Environmental Management Act (British Columbia) permits, marking the successful completion of the permitting process for key approvals. On September 14, 2026, the Company announced a formal positive decision to proceed with the construction of the Project, with an expected first gold pour in Q1 2029 and commercial production in H2 2029.

Quality Assurance (QA) – Quality Control (QC)

All drill core was whole core sampled in on-site logging facilities following daily QAQC checks for logging and sampling errors. Quality control (QC) samples are inserted at regular intervals in the sample stream, including blanks and reference materials with all sample shipments to monitor laboratory performance. Samples are bagged, labelled, sealed with numbered security tags.

Samples are taken by expeditor from the logging facilities direct to MSALABS’s analytical facility in Prince George, B.C., Canada, for preparation and analysis. MSALABS is independent of the Company. The MSALABS facility is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard for gold assays, and all analytical methods include quality control materials at set frequencies with established data acceptance criteria. The entire sample is dried, crushed, and split into sealed containers. Analysis for gold is by gamma ray analysis using the Chrysos PhotonAssay (PA1408X). Samples are bombarded with gamma rays and the resulting signal is sent to the detectors.

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Syntec Optics Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPTX) (“Syntec Optics” or the “Company”), a leading provider of deep-tech products to defense, space, and AI data centers, today announced recurring production orders for actuators in NASA’s Artemis III rockets.

Rockets need absolute precision to stay on a course full of adversity—like a unicyclist on a tightrope in a hurricane. Syntec Optics makes the ultra-precise products inside rocket actuators that keep those heavy engines locked on trajectory.

As NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman fast-tracks and modernizes America’s space infrastructure toward a $20B Moon base for mining, data centers, and future fusion fuel, the global rocket market is surging from $10.5 billion in 2023 to $24.4 billion by 2030.

“We feel privileged to bridge generations,” said Matt Carey, VP of Business Development. “We are working side-by-side with the pioneers of the Apollo and Space Shuttle eras to create the modern hardware that will return humanity to the Moon. Unlike the old Apollo visits, which seemed like short trips to win a space race, this new push aims to stay.”

With the Artemis III mission strategy evolving to include rigorous Earth-orbit practice tests for landers and docking systems ahead of the lunar landing, Syntec is locking in years of recurring orders.

“NASA’s strategic pivot establishes a foundation of predictable, high-value orders, immediately boosting our space tech backlog further by 10% and positioning our lunar products for exponential growth as moon missions accelerate,” noted CFO Dean Rudy.

Precision-engineered products, from satellite communications and safety to Space Force reconnaissance and lunar rockets, make Syntec a vital partner in securing America’s space dominance.

A new patent application covers Polyrizon’s proprietary mucoadhesive platform and its potential applications in nasal drug delivery.

Raanana, Israel, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —  Polyrizon Ltd. (Nasdaq: PLRZ) (the “Company” or “Polyrizon”), a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in the development of innovative intranasal hydrogels, today announced that it has filed a new U.S. divisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), further expanding the Company’s intellectual property portfolio relating to its proprietary mucoadhesive technology.

The divisional application, titled “Mucoadhesive Polymers for Nasal Drug Delivery,” was assigned U.S. Patent Application No. 19/823,285.

The new application is part of Polyrizon’s broader patent family covering its proprietary mucoadhesive polymer technology. The technology is based on polymeric compositions designed for application to mucosal surfaces and capable of forming a continuous and durable layer upon contact with mucosal tissue.

The underlying technology is designed to support a range of potential applications, including the use of mucoadhesive formulations as a platform for the local or systemic delivery of therapeutic agents through mucosal tissues, including the nasal mucosa. The patent family describes the potential incorporation of therapeutic active ingredients into the mucoadhesive compositions, providing a technological foundation for the development of intranasal drug delivery systems.

The divisional filing enables Polyrizon to pursue additional patent protection for distinct aspects and applications of its technology while maintaining its connection to the Company’s existing U.S. patent family.

Tomer Izraeli, Chief Executive Officer of Polyrizon, commented: “This new U.S. patent filing represents another step in strengthening the intellectual property foundation supporting our intranasal technology platform. We believe our mucoadhesive technology has potential beyond stand-alone barrier applications, particularly as a platform for delivering therapeutic agents through the nasal mucosa. Pursuing additional  patent protection for these applications is an important part of our strategy as we continue to explore the broader potential of our technology.”

Polyrizon continues to develop its proprietary mucoadhesive technology for both stand-alone intranasal products and potential drug delivery applications. The Company believes the ability of its platform to provide prolonged interaction with mucosal surfaces may offer opportunities for the development of new approaches to local and systemic intranasal delivery.

About Polyrizon

Polyrizon is a development stage biotech company specializing in the development of innovative medical device hydrogels delivered in the form of nasal sprays, which form a thin hydrogel-based shield containment barrier in the nasal cavity that can provide a barrier against viruses and allergens from contacting the nasal epithelial tissue. Polyrizon’s proprietary Capture and Contain TM, or C&C, hydrogel technology, comprised of a mixture of naturally occurring building blocks, is delivered in the form of nasal sprays, and potentially functions as a “biological mask” with a thin shield containment barrier in the nasal cavity. Polyrizon are further developing certain aspects of our C&C hydrogel technology such as the bioadhesion and prolonged retention at the nasal deposition site for intranasal delivery of drugs. Polyrizon refers to its additional technology, which is in an earlier stage of pre-clinical development, that is focused on nasal delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients, or APIs, as Trap and Target, or T&T. VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Goldera Exploration Ltd. (“Goldera” or the “Company”) (TSX Venture Exchange: GERA) is pleased to provide an update on its on-going exploration activities at the high-grade Egan Gold Project in the world-class Timmins gold camp, Abitibi Greenstone Belt. In preparation for the upcoming drill program, these surface programs have been successful at exposing two additional subparallel structures to the high-grade gold E1 area structure, which was the initial discovery made on the Egan Gold Project. As a result, Goldera has potentially expanded the E1 discovery footprint from a single known structure to a broader, multi-structure gold system.

Key Highlights:

  • The ongoing trenching and mapping program identified two new subparallel structures at the E1 footwall displaying similar alteration, quartz veining and structural characteristics known to carry gold mineralization at the E1 initial discovery zone, expanding the potential mineralized zone to ~250 metres across strike and 450 metres along strike, broadly parallel to the syenite-country rock contact.
  • The August program included 15 trenches, 488 soil samples, 136 rock grab samples and 222 saw-channel samples. Assay results remain pending.
  • Additional stripping planned at E1, with E2 and E3 scheduled for later follow-up work.
  • Drill planning is underway, expected to refine and finalize targets by Q4-2026 based on results of the current surface exploration program.
  • Egan is a 111 km² district-scale property ~50 km from Timmins, with four previously identified gold occurrences and historical surface samples up to 105 g/t Au at E1.

“The discovery of two additional structures with geological characteristics similar to the high-grade E1 occurrence materially expands the exploration potential of this part of Egan,” said Charles Tarnocai, CEO & Director of Goldera. “Importantly, we are no longer looking at E1 as an isolated surface occurrence, we are seeing evidence of a broader structural framework extending across hundreds of metres, with the newly exposed structures potentially sharing similar alteration, quartz veining and orientation to the original E1 discovery.”

Surface Stripping Expands the E1 Gold System

Goldera’s ongoing surface stripping and channel sampling program, which initially focused on the E1 area, has identified two additional subparallel structures within the footwall of the high-grade E1 gold occurrence, expanding the area of interest around the Company’s initial discovery. The newly exposed structures, identified in trenches TR2 and TR5, display similar alteration and quartz-veining characteristics to E1, including intense iron-carbonate-specularite-silica alteration and pyrite within the northeasterly trending shear zones. The structures occur over an area extending approximately 250 meters into the E1 structure footwall and 450 meters along strike, and are broadly parallel to the syenite contact within the surrounding country rock mafic volcanic units and gabbro, to the north (refer to Figure 2). The true width of the altered structures exposed are up to 50cm. As with E1, the wall rocks to these structures host northerly trending quartz veinlet zones. At E1, visible gold is observed in quartz veins with similar orientation and crack-seal textures (refer to Figure 3). This suggests that gold is not only associated with the northeasterly trending structures, but quartz vein arrays in their wall rocks, potentially presenting a bulk tonnage opportunity. The August exploration program consisted of prospecting, soil geochemical sampling, mapping and the excavation of 15 trenches. In total, 488 soil samples, 136 rock grab samples and 222 saw channel samples (including QA/QC) were collected and sent for analysis. Sample results are pending from the surface stripping and soil sampling conducted on the property. Following the field crew break concluding at the end of this month, additional surface stripping is planned to further expose structures in the E1 area where permits allow. Permits are available for stripping at E3 target, and work at E2 is pending a crossing permit for a narrow creek. Permits for additional trenching and stripping in the E1 area will also be prepared.

Figure 2: Trenched and stripped areas in the E1 gold occurrence area. Altered structures similar to that identified at the high-grade gold E1 showing are identified in trenches TR2 and TR5. These structures have a similar trend and dip direction, identified in an area of 250m across strike and ~450m along strike. Inferred strike extensions of those structures are shown as dashed red lines, with uncertain extents. Fault kinematics are from field observations. The inset shows the extent of all trenching in the current, on-going program, with the external property boundary denoted as a heavy black line. For regional location reference, refer to Figure 1.

Egan Gold Project Overview

The Egan Gold Project comprises 449 claims covering ~111 km², located approximately 50 kilometers from Timmins within the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Ontario, a region with a long history of prominent gold discoveries and active operations. The district-scale project hosts an overlooked syenite-hosted gold system with both high-grade and bulk-tonnage exploration potential. Despite being located close to one of the largest gold producing camps in the world, Egan is a new discovery with very limited past work. Previous work defined four gold occurrences at areas E1, E1S, E2 and E3, returning numerous high-grade gold results in grab samples, up to 105.0 g/t Au at E1 area and grab samples recorded up to 44.7 g/t Au and 19.0 g/t Au at E3 area, demonstrating the presence of robust gold-bearing structures at surface across a broad area. From a regional exploration perspective, Egan is positioned within a structurally favorable portion of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, about 8 kilometers south of the Destor–Porcupine deformation zone (refer to Figure 1).

The Egan Gold property is under option agreement with Harfang Exploration Inc., allowing Goldera to earn up to 80% interest (refer to Fancamp Exploration Ltd. press release dated November 12, 2025). Goldera is currently in the first, 40% earn-in phase of the option agreement, an initial phase that should be completed with the program outlined above.
