PARSIPPANY, N.J., Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CorMedix Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CRMD) today provided a business update in advance of a conference call expected to be held on November 12, 2026 to discuss the Company’s complete quarterly financial performance.

Business Updates

  • CorMedix announces unaudited cash and cash equivalents on hand as of September 30, 2026 of approximately $355 million.
  • CorMedix reaffirms its August 2026 total revenue guidance of between $325 million and $345 million for the full-year 2026.
  • On October 28, 2026, CMS released the 2027 End-Stage Renal Disease Prospective Payment System (ESRD PPS) final rule, which provided for a post-TDAPA Add-on for DefenCath® (taurolidine and heparin) of $8.32 per dialysis session, for Q1 of 2027, as well as a new quarterly process for calculating Add-On adjustments. The Q1 2027 Add-on of $8.32 is within the Company’s previously guided range of 3x-5x higher than the current $2.37 in effect for the third and fourth quarters of 2026.
  • The Company is aware of statements made by a large dialysis organization (LDO) during its investor call about the quarterly trajectory of the 2027 DefenCath post-TDAPA Add-on payments following CMS’s publication of the 2027 ESRD PPS Final rule. CorMedix has not provided the LDO or any other party with past or forecasted utilization or pricing data that would be necessary to estimate future quarterly adjustments to the 2027 Add-on. We believe any third-party projections regarding future quarterly adjustments are subject to significant uncertainty without visibility into the relevant utilization and pricing data. Investors should not interpret third-party projections as guidance provided or endorsed by CorMedix.
  • Based on CorMedix evaluation of sales data and insights that the Company has in connection with DefenCath fee-for-service utilization, including terms of its contractual arrangements with customers, the Company anticipates that the DefenCath Add-on will decline in Q2 of 2027 compared to Q1, but increase in Q3 and/or Q4 of 2027 compared to Q2, subject to how CMS applies certain utilization data. In addition, CorMedix believes that the Add-on rate for all four quarters in 2027 will exceed the current rate of $2.37 and that the average Add-on rate for all four quarters in 2027 will equate to more than 2x the current rate of $2.37.
  • CorMedix expects to hold a conference call on November 12, 2026 to discuss its financial results and additional business updates at that time. The Company will provide more specifics about its third quarter earnings call approximately one week prior to the scheduled meeting.

Forward-Looking Statements

This press release contains “forward-looking statements” within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), that are subject to risks and uncertainties. Forward-looking statements are often identified by the use of words such as, but not limited to, “anticipate,” “believe,” “can,” “continue,” “could,” “estimate,” “expect,” “intend,” “may,” “plan,” “project,” “seek,” “should,” “target,” “will,” “would,” and similar expressions or variations intended to identify forward-looking statements. All statements, other than statements of historical facts, regarding management’s expectations, beliefs, goals, plans or CorMedix’s prospects should be considered forward-looking statements including, but not limited to statements regarding financial and business guidance; sales, revenue and operating expense estimates; the 2027 post-TDAPA Add-on changes for DefenCath; and CorMedix’s forecasts and projections for the 2027 Add-on trajectory. CorMedix estimates for the 2027 Add-on are subject to several factors and assumptions, including known historical utilization and pricing data, DefenCath maintaining fee-for-service utilization in line with current trends, and the method by which CMS will apply certain utilization data in the Add-on calculations. Changes in customer utilization patterns, including fee-for-service utilization, changes in pricing, or differences between CMS’s application of its calculation methodology and the Company’s assumptions could cause the actual CMS-determined quarterly Add-on rates and the resulting full-year average to differ materially from CorMedix’s estimates. Increased reimbursement to dialysis facilities may not result in corresponding increases in CorMedix’s realized pricing, product utilization or revenue. Additional risks include continued pricing pressures and the impact of actions of governmental and private payers affecting pricing of, reimbursement for, and patient access to pharmaceuticals and reporting obligations related thereto; and the expiration or loss of intellectual property protection for certain of the Company’s products and competition from generic and biosimilar products. Readers are cautioned that actual results may differ materially from projections or estimates due to a variety of important factors, and readers are directed to the Risk Factors identified in CorMedix’s filings with the SEC, including its most recent Annual Report on Form 10-K and its subsequent Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q and Current Reports on Form 8-K, copies of which are available free of charge at the SEC’s website at www.sec.gov or upon request from CorMedix. CorMedix may not actually achieve the goals or plans described in its forward-looking statements, and such forward-looking statements speak only as of the date of this press release. Investors should not place undue reliance on these statements. CorMedix does not adopt or endorse, and undertakes no obligation to comment on or correct, any projections, estimates or statements regarding its business or results of operations that are made by third parties, including analysts and customers, except as required by law. CorMedix assumes no obligation and does not intend to update these forward-looking statements, except as required by law.

NEW YORK, Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bright Minds Biosciences Inc. (CSE: DRUG) (NASDAQ: DRUG) (“Bright Minds” or the “Company”) announces that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) has notified the Company via email that its investigational new drug application (“IND”) for Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies (“DEEs”) and related Protocol BMB-101-105 has been placed on a partial clinical hold following the FDA’s review.

The proposed trial related to this IND is a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind Phase 2 study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ascending doses of BMB-101, up to a maximum tolerated dose, for the treatment of seizures associated with DEEs.

The Company believes that the partial clinical hold covers only the planned Phase 2 trial of BMB-101 in DEE in the United States, and the partial clinical hold does not affect the Company’s other ongoing clinical trials.

The primary reason given by the FDA relates to identified toxicity in mice, and inadequate pharmacokinetic and juvenile toxicity data to support the proposed pediatric enrollment.

The Company believes that the FDA’s observation of toxicity in mice was not seen in any other species. The Company further believes, based on its toxicity reports, peer reviewers, and multiple independent toxicology expert opinions, that the adverse mouse findings were incidental and not drug-related. These are the Company’s beliefs and should not be understood as the FDA findings or as resolving the FDA’s stated concerns.

The Company is awaiting the FDA’s full Partial Clinical Hold Letter. The FDA stated that it would provide the letter within 30 days, including additional details, non-hold recommendations, and study-design recommendations.

Bright Minds intends to immediately request further clarification from the FDA. The Company plans to review the FDA’s Partial Clinical Hold Letter and refine the study in accordance with the FDA’s recommendations with the objective of addressing the identified issues and advancing future U.S. clinical trials. Additional data or studies may be required, and there can be no assurance as to when or whether the partial clinical hold will be lifted or future U.S. trials will be permitted to proceed.

About BMB-101

BMB has completed two clinical trials with BMB-101. To date approximately 90 subjects have received BMB-101 across all the Company’s clinical programs.

Phase 1: In a placebo-controlled single-ascending-dose, multiple-ascending-dose and food-effect studies conducted in 64 healthy volunteers, BMB-101 was well tolerated at all doses tested. There were no serious adverse events, and adverse events were mild and consistent with on-target serotonergic effects. There were no drug-related serious adverse events.

On January 6, 2026, the Company announced the topline data from its Phase 2 BREAKTHROUGH trial. In 24 adults with drug-resistant absence seizures or DEE, most of whom were taking three to five other anti-seizure medications, 79.6% of treatment-emergent adverse events were mild and 17.2% were moderate. No drug-related serious adverse events occurred. Six DEE patients completed the main study treatment with median reduction of motor seizures of 63.3%. All five DEE patients who entered the open label extension remain on therapy with BMB-101.

Crews mobilized for Foremost’s first drill program on the property, with four areas planned for testing targets based on 2026 gravity survey

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Foremost Clean Energy Ltd. (NASDAQ: FMST) (CSE: FAT) (“Foremost” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has commenced its first diamond drill program on the Turkey Lake Uranium Project (“Turkey Lake”) in northern Saskatchewan (Figure 1). The program is intended to test priority targets identified by integrating a ground gravity survey completed in January 2026 with historical drilling, electromagnetic, magnetic, and geological data.

Highlights

  • Historical uranium intersections highlight the potential of the Turkey Lake property and provide a foundation for additional exploration.
  • The property has more than 10 kilometres of underexplored conductive strike length, with priority targets refined by a ground gravity survey completed in January 2026.
  • Given the shallow depths (<50 metres of sandstone cover) to most exploration targets on the property, multiple targets can be tested with relatively few metres drilled – a 1,000 metre drill program is planned to test approximately four target areas.

Cameron MacKay, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Foremost, commented: “Turkey Lake is an example of the depth of Foremost’s exploration portfolio. The property has multiple attractive target areas and through our review of historical exploration carried out by Denison and the integration of the new gravity survey completed by Foremost, we have generated several priority targets for drill testing.

The value of the gravity survey is in how it helps us distinguish targets along a long conductive corridor. We prioritized locations where gravity lows coincide with conductors and/or interpreted structural features and then used the historical drilling to provide valuable geological context to plan our specific drill targets. The program is intended to test whether these features reflect alteration and structures capable of hosting uranium mineralization, which could occur both near the shallow unconformity and within the basement.

Given Turkey Lake’s location straddling the margin of the Athabasca Basin, the targets are also relatively shallow, which allows for multiple targets to be tested with relatively few metres of drilling.”

Turkey Lake regional setting and location.

Figure 1. Turkey Lake regional setting and location.

Historical work provides a foundation for the next steps

Turkey Lake is located along the northeastern margin of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin, approximately 23 kilometres north of the McClean Lake Mill and 25 kilometres north of the Eagle Point Mine (Figure 1). Historical drilling, geophysical and geochemical surveys provide a foundation for refining and testing targets at Turkey Lake.

Previous drilling identified uranium mineralization, including:

  • 0.16% U₃O₈ over 0.6 metres in hole TUR-4i immediately above the sub-Athabasca unconformity;
  • 0.12% U₃O₈ over 0.5 metres in hole TL-10-13ii; and
  • Elevated radioactivity in nearby follow-up drilling, providing additional indications of uranium potential along the conductive corridor.

The 2026 gravity survey builds on this work, helping prioritize targets along the broader corridor.

The historical drilling results referred to in this news release are derived from public assessment files filed with the Government of Saskatchewan. The Qualified Person has not independently verified these historical results, and they should not be relied upon as indicative of the grade or extent of mineralization on the property.

A shallow setting with room for further exploration

The property straddles the edge of the Athabasca Basin, meaning it spans both sandstone-covered ground and exposed basement terrain outside the Basin’s margin (Figure 2). Where sandstone is present, its thickness is less than 50 metres, placing the sandstone–basement contact, or unconformity, at shallow depths. The unconformity is a common target for uranium mineralization.

More than 10 kilometres of underexplored conductive strike length (Figure 2) provides scope to test for both unconformity-related and basement-hosted uranium mineralization. Historical uranium intersections establish an exploration starting point, while the new gravity data help prioritize where to test within the broader corridor.

Turkey Lake compilation map

Figure 2. Turkey Lake compilation map

New gravity data sharpen targets along an underexplored corridor

The ground gravity survey completed in January 2026 identified multiple gravity low anomalies. These are interpreted as possible zones of hydrothermal alteration and potential fluid pathways. Several coincide with electromagnetic conductors and magnetic features, allowing the Company to focus drilling on locations where multiple geological features and datasets point to the existence of a common geological target (Figure 2).

The top targets generated from the gravity survey have been grouped into (i) those situated along the edge of the Athabasca Basin with the potential for unconformity-hosted mineralization (“Basin Edge Targets”) and (ii) those outside of the Basin, which lack sandstone cover and thus represent targets for basement-hosted mineralization (“BEX Targets”).

Except for the statements of historical fact contained herein, the information presented in this news release and oral statements made from time to time by representatives of the Company are or may constitute “forward-looking statements” as such term is used in applicable United States and Canadian laws and including, without limitation, within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, for which the Company claims the protection of the safe harbor for forward-looking statements. These statements relate to analyses and other information that are based on forecasts of future results, estimates of amounts not yet determinable and assumptions of management. Any other statements that express or involve discussions with respect to predictions, expectations, beliefs, plans, projections, objectives, assumptions or future events or performance (often, but not always, using words or phrases such as “expects” or “does not expect,” “is expected,” “anticipates” or “does not anticipate,” “plans,” “estimates” or “intends,” or stating that certain actions, events or results “may,” “could,” “would,” “might” or “will” be taken, occur or be achieved) are not statements of historical fact and should be viewed as forward-looking statements. Such forward-looking statements involve known and unknown risks, uncertainties and other factors which may cause the actual results, performance or achievements of the Company to be materially different from any future results, performance or achievements expressed or implied by such forward-looking statements.

Such forward-looking statements include, among others, statements with respect to: the scope, timing and objectives of the drill program at Turkey Lake, including the planned 1,000 metres of drilling and the number of target areas expected to be tested; the potential of Turkey Lake to host unconformity-related or basement-hosted uranium mineralization; the interpretation of historical drilling, geophysical, geochemical and geological data, including the significance of historical uranium intersections as a foundation for additional exploration; the interpretation of gravity low anomalies as possible zones of hydrothermal alteration and potential fluid pathways, and the prioritization of drill targets based on such interpretation; the expectation that the shallow depth of sandstone cover will allow multiple targets to be tested with relatively few metres of drilling; the potential for further exploration along the conductive corridor at Turkey Lake; the completion of the transaction with Denison announced on October 22, 2026 and the Company’s ability to increase its interest in the properties under option from Denison; and the long-term growth in demand expected for carbon-free energy sources.
