The Partnership Brings Together Payroll Tax Calculation and Compliance to Expand in the U.S. Enterprise Market

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Asure Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASUR), a leading provider of cloud-based Human Capital Management software and payroll tax management solutions, and Vertex, Inc. (NASDAQ:VERX), the Decision-to-Defense™ global indirect tax and compliance company, today announced a strategic partnership designed to deliver an improved payroll tax calculation and compliance offering to the U.S. enterprise market.

The partnership includes Vertex’s payroll tax calculation technology with Asure’s Payroll Tax Management infrastructure for tax filing, remittance, W-2 processing, agency notice management and interaction with thousands of federal, state and local taxing authorities.

For Asure, the agreement creates an important new distribution channel for its Payroll Tax Management business and provides an opportunity to expand Asure’s share of the U.S. payroll tax compliance market.

“This partnership has the potential to improve access to Asure Payroll Tax Management,” said Pat Goepel, Chairman and CEO of Asure Software. “Vertex has spent decades building sophisticated payroll tax calculation technology and relationships across the enterprise payroll ecosystem. Asure has built the infrastructure which sits along beside it —moving the money, filing the taxes, managing W-2s, resolving notices and interacting with tax agencies. Bringing those capabilities together creates a compelling end-to-end payroll tax solution and another meaningful avenue for Asure to gain market share.”

Three New Paths to Payroll Tax Management Growth

The strategic alliance establishes multiple commercial channels through which the companies expect to expand their respective payroll tax businesses. As enterprises modernize payroll and ERP infrastructure, the companies intend to offer customers a migration path that combines modern tax calculation technology with outsourced payroll tax filing and compliance.

First, Asure will be able to offer Vertex payroll tax calculation technology together with Asure Payroll Tax Management to Asure customers and prospects. The side-by-side offering expands Asure’s ability to compete for organizations seeking a one-stop payroll tax calculation and downstream tax filing, remittance and compliance solution.

Second, the companies expect to pursue opportunities within the payroll and HCM provider ecosystem. The partnership can pair Vertex technology with Asure’s existing relationships with payroll service providers and other application service providers, creating another potential source of recurring Payroll Tax Management customers.

Together, these channels make it easier for Asure to be considered beyond customers purchasing tax filing services independently and into organizations seeking a more comprehensive payroll tax technology and compliance solution.

Moving Upstream in the Payroll Tax Technology Stack

Payroll tax management requires two complementary capabilities: accurately determining what an employer owes and then successfully depositing, filing and reconciling those obligations with government agencies.

Vertex brings nearly five decades of tax experience and decades of tax technology expertise, along with many years of cloud-based payroll tax calculation capabilities covering federal, state and local requirements in the United States and Canada.

Asure brings the operational compliance infrastructure that follows calculation, including tax filing, remittance, W-2 preparation, notice and amendment management and government agency interaction. Asure currently provides payroll tax and compliance services supporting more than 100,000 businesses and more than two million employees nationwide, plus a growing number of large enterprises representing multiple millions of employees

The partnership therefore expands Asure’s position from payroll tax compliance provider toward a broader end-to-end payroll tax solution.

“Payroll tax is one of the most complex compliance obligations an employer carries, and the requirements change constantly across thousands of jurisdictions,” said Chirag Patel, Chief Strategy Officer at Vertex. “Vertex has spent decades helping organizations calculate payroll taxes accurately. Working with Asure connects that calculation expertise with filing and remittance, helping create a more seamless path from determining what’s owed to meeting those obligations.”

“The financial significance is not simply another referral agreement,” Goepel said. “It is about distribution. Every additional payroll platform, enterprise relationship and technology ecosystem that can connect to Asure PTM expands access. Our objective is straightforward: make Asure the infrastructure layer behind an increasing share of payroll tax filings and tax money movement in the United States.”

About Asure Software

Asure Software (Nasdaq: ASUR) provides cloud-based Human Capital Management solutions delivered as Payroll, Payroll Tax Management, HR compliance and related services. Asure’s Payroll Tax Management infrastructure supports tax filing, remittance, W-2 processing, agency notice management and other payroll tax compliance requirements for businesses and payroll providers across the United States.

Jim Kras will discuss Diversification Beyond Core CEA at CEAg World Conference & Expo

BELVIDERE, NJ, Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Edible Garden AG Incorporated (“Edible Garden” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: EDBL, EDBLW), a leader in controlled environment agriculture (CEA), organic and sustainable produce, and developer of the Zero-Waste Inspired® mission and Farm-to-Formula® platform, today announced that Chief Executive Officer Jim Kras will participate in the 2026 CEAg World Conference & Expo, taking place November 10–11, 2026, in Charlotte-Concord, North Carolina.

Mr. Kras will participate in a session titled “Diversification Beyond Core CEA” on Tuesday, November 10, 2026. He is expected to discuss how Edible Garden is building on its growing expertise, proprietary technologies and retail relationships to expand into value-added foods, clean-label nutrition and ready-to-drink beverages. The discussion will also address how strategic partnerships can support product innovation, broaden sourcing capabilities and create opportunities for growth beyond traditional greenhouse operations.

“Innovation has always been central to Edible Garden, from our patented GreenThumb software and Self-Watering displays to our Zero-Waste Inspired® approach to growing and delivering fresh produce,” said Jim Kras, Chief Executive Officer of Edible Garden. “Our Farm-to-Formula® strategy builds on that foundation by connecting our agricultural expertise with opportunities in clean-label foods, nutrition and ready-to-drink beverages. Diversification means applying what we do well to new categories where we believe we can create value for retailers and consumers.”

Edible Garden’s recent partnerships with Square Roots and Caney Fork Farms are intended to support this diversification strategy. The Square Roots relationship adds a collaborative avenue for exploring crop innovation and new product concepts, while the Caney Fork Farms partnership brings regenerative agriculture into the Company’s broader supply strategy. Together, these relationships are intended to complement Edible Garden’s CEA capabilities and support a broader range of ingredients, products and market opportunities.

“Our partnerships with Square Roots and Caney Fork Farms demonstrate how we are bringing complementary expertise into our business,” Mr. Kras continued. “We see opportunities to connect innovation in controlled environment agriculture with regenerative farming and product development, helping us broaden our offering while pursuing a more flexible operating model. As we develop our Prairie Hills ready-to-drink platform, these relationships can help inform future product innovation and support our goal of building a more diversified revenue base across fresh produce and shelf-stable nutrition.”

The CEAg World Conference & Expo brings together commercial growers, industry executives, technology providers, and other stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of controlled environment agriculture. The 2026 conference will focus on practical strategies for improving profitability, managing costs, strengthening customer relationships, and building more resilient growing operations.

  • Phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate local intravesical administration of UGN-501
  • UGN-501 is a differentiated investigational next-generation oncolytic virus designed to combine direct tumor cell destruction with anti-tumor immune activation

PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — UroGen Pharma Ltd. (Nasdaq: URGN), a biotech company dedicated to developing and commercializing innovative solutions that treat urothelial and specialty cancers, today announced that the first patient was dosed with UGN-501, a next-generation investigational oncolytic virus. The Phase 1 trial will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and feasibility of intravesical administration of UGN-501.

“The first patient dosed with UGN-501 marks an important step in advancing this investigational therapy from nonclinical research into clinical evaluation,” said Mark Schoenberg, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of UroGen. “We can now begin to understand its safety and tolerability in patients with NMIBC and generate insights to guide its continued development. This progress brings us closer to our goal of expanding treatment options for patients with bladder cancer.”

The Phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation trial is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of intravesically administered UGN-501 and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose in adults with recurrent non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), including high-grade Ta/T1 disease and/or carcinoma in situ (CIS), or low-grade Ta/T1 disease. Before treatment, all visible papillary tumors must be resected and obvious areas of CIS fulgurated. Participants will receive an aqueous formulation of UGN-501 through six once-weekly intravesical instillations during a 12-week induction period. Participants with no evidence of disease at week 12 may proceed to maintenance treatment consisting of three once-weekly instillations administered quarterly from month three through month 12, or until disease recurrence, disease progression or death, whichever occurs first, with a safety follow-up visit at month 15. For more information about the Phase 1 trial, go to ClinicalTrials.gov at NCT07725796.

In parallel with the Phase 1 trial, UroGen is conducting nonclinical studies exploring the formulation of UGN-501 in its proprietary RTGel® technology. The formulation being evaluated in the current Phase 1 trial is aqueous and does not contain RTGel.

NMIBC continues to present significant clinical challenges, particularly among patients whose disease recurs following standard treatment. Despite available therapies, recurrence rates remain substantial, underscoring the need for novel bladder-sparing therapeutic approaches. UroGen believes UGN-501’s differentiated mechanism of action and local administration strategy may offer a promising new approach for addressing this unmet need.

About UGN-501

UGN-501 is an investigational, next-generation oncolytic virus being investigated for the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). UGN-501 is designed to selectively replicate within tumor cells, resulting in direct tumor cell destruction and an anti-tumor immune response. The program is supported by nonclinical data demonstrating cytotoxic activity across a broad panel of bladder cancer cell lines representing multiple stages and grades of disease. While UGN-501 is initially being developed for bladder cancer, the Company believes UGN-501’s underlying properties may have broader applicability across additional solid tumor indications and intends to evaluate future development opportunities based on emerging clinical and translational data.

Oral tablet form expected to allow Company to optimize patient plasma exposure levels with convenient daily dosing of drug

Sustained plasma levels of elraglusib expected to have multiple effects on immune cell dynamics with potential to enhance anti-tumor immune response

Patent allowance advances protection for Elraglusib Oral Tablet ahead of planned Phase 1/2 clinical trial in Q1 2027

CHICAGO and FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Actuate Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACTU) (“Actuate” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapies for difficult-to-treat cancers, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a Notice of Allowance for U.S. Patent Application No. 19/669,218, titled “Oral Dosage Forms of Elraglusib.” The allowed claims cover the composition of oral tablet forms of elraglusib, an inhibitor of GSK-3β, the Company’s lead clinical investigational candidate, including the optimized Elraglusib Oral Tablet developed for upcoming use in clinical trials.

Elraglusib Oral Tablet is being developed to enable convenient daily dosing with the potential to provide sustained GSK-3β inhibition, leading to enhanced antitumor activity. Pre-clinical and clinical exposure-effect analysis has identified threshold plasma levels of elraglusib associated with clinical benefit, inhibition of tumor growth and reduction in tumor size. Sustained exposure of elraglusib has been observed to elicit direct effects on tumor cells as well as a unique array of complementary effects on anti-tumor immune response that lead to increased CD8+ and NK cell recruitment, attenuation of immune suppressive features and altering the tumor immune microenvironment to prime the tumor for sustained anti-tumor immune response. To date, elraglusib has been administered intravenously (Elraglusib Injection) using weekly or twice weekly intermittent dosing in several clinical studies in refractory and resistant adult and pediatric cancers.

Elraglusib Oral Tablet is a key part of Actuate’s clinical development strategy, with potential utility as a monotherapy and in combination treatment and maintenance therapy approaches. Actuate plans to initiate a Phase 1/2 clinical trial of Elraglusib Oral Tablet in the first quarter of 2027 to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and screen for initial evidence of antitumor activity in patients with advanced cancer.

“The development of an optimized oral tablet dosage form marks an important advance in realizing elraglusib’s therapeutic potential,” said Daniel Schmitt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Actuate Therapeutics. “Daily oral administration is expected to enable sustained plasma drug exposure and inhibition of GSK-3 in a tumor, potentially promoting sustained changes in immune cell dynamics that favor antitumor immune responses. This approach could also provide greater dosing flexibility and patient convenience and expand opportunities to investigate elraglusib as both a monotherapy and in combination with other cancer treatments.”

“The allowance of this patent application represents an important milestone in strengthening our intellectual property portfolio around oral formulations of elraglusib including protection for the oral tablet dosage form,” said Andrew Mazar, PhD, Chief Operating Officer at Actuate Therapeutics. “With our imminent Phase 1/2 clinical trial, we anticipate being able to more fully explore the clinical potential of elraglusib in the next stage of development as we bring a new oral treatment option with a unique immunomodulatory mechanism of action to cancer patients in need.”

The patent, upon completion of customary USPTO procedures, is expected to further strengthen Actuate’s intellectual property portfolio, support continued stage appropriate development, leading to the future potential commercialization of oral elraglusib.

Program and Business Updates

18F-RAD101 – Small molecule targeting fatty acid synthase radiolabeled with Fluorine-18

RAD101 is currently being prepared for a pivotal, multi-center, global Phase 3 imaging trial following a productive End-of-Phase 2 (EOP2) meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in individuals with confirmed recurrent brain metastases from solid tumors of different origins. RAD101 has received FDA Fast Track Designation to distinguish between recurrent disease and treatment effect of brain metastases originating from solid tumors of different origin including leptomeningeal disease. The company also recently announced a partnership with Siemens Healthineers, who will manufacture and distribute doses of 18F-labeled RAD101 to support Radiopharm’s upcoming Phase 3 registrational trial in the U.S.

  • In October 2026, the Company announced the successful completion of an EOP2 meeting with the FDA for RAD101 for the detection of brain metastases. Previously reported Phase 2b clinical data showed that RAD101 demonstrated 93% concordance with MRI across all evaluable lesions, meeting the Phase 2 trial’s primary endpoint.
  • RAD101 was selected for a late-breaking oral presentation of interim Phase 2b imaging data for its trial in participants with suspected recurrent brain metastases from solid tumors at the 31st Annual Meeting of the Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO26) taking place from November 12-15, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The data from these findings are supportive for the initiation of the Phase 3 imaging trial.

177Lu-RAD204 – Nanobody targeting PD-L1 radiolabeled with Lutetium 177

RAD204 is being evaluated in a Phase 1 study in PD-L1-driven cancers, including Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), Small-Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC), Triple-negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), Cutaneous Melanoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and Endometrial Cancer.

  • The Company continues to make progress in dosing patients in the 90mCi third cohort of the Phase 1 study. Data from each of the cohorts of the Phase 1 study will be used to inform the recommended dose for the planned Phase 2 trial.

177Lu-RAD202 – Nanobody targeting HER2 radiolabeled with Lutetium 177

The Company continues to evaluate RAD202 in the Phase 1 ‘HEAT’ clinical trial in patients with Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-positive advanced solid tumors. HER2 is overexpressed in breast cancer and several other solid tumors and represents a validated target in oncology. RAD202 has demonstrated clinical proof-of-concept with positive safety and biodistribution.

  • In August 2026, the Company received a positive recommendation from the Data Safety and Monitoring Committee (DSMC) to advance RAD202 to the next dose level of 180mCi in the fourth cohort of the Phase 1 ‘HEAT’ clinical trial in patients with HER2-positive advanced solid tumors.

Lu177-RV 01 – monoclonal antibody targeting 4Ig isoform of B7H3 radiolabeled with Lutetium 177

RV-01 (Betabart) is a monoclonal antibody targeting the 4Ig isoform of B7H3, an immune checkpoint protein that is highly expressed in tumors and not in healthy tissue. In multiple preclinical studies, RV-01 has shown tumor shrinkage and prolonged survival. This is the first radiopharmaceutical therapeutic developed by Radiopharm Ventures, a joint venture between Radiopharm Theranostics and the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

  • In August 2026, the Company dosed the first patient in the second cohort of its First-In-Human (FIH) Phase 1/2 clinical trial of RV-01 in patients with B7-H3 expressing tumors. The dosing of the first patient came following a positive recommendation from the Safety and Monitoring Committee (SMC) to advance to the 70mCi dose.
  • The Phase 1/2a clinical trial of RV-01 is a dose escalation and expansion trial designed to evaluate the safety, biodistribution, radiation dosimetry and preliminary anti-tumor activity of RV-01 in B7-H3 expressing tumors. The trial will determine the recommended dose of RV-01 to move forward in future studies. The Phase 1/2a study is currently being conducted at clinical centers across the U.S.

Tb161-RAD 402 – Monoclonal antibody targeting KLK3 radiolabeled with Terbium 161

RAD402 is a monoclonal antibody targeting Kallikrein Related Peptidase 3 (KLK3) radiolabeled with the radionuclide 161Tb for the treatment of prostate cancer. In preclinical mouse models, RAD 402 showed strong tumor targeting, limited bone and marrow uptake, and a hepatic excretion profile consistent with expectations for a monoclonal antibody.

  • The Company continues to progress its First-In-Human (FIH) Phase 1 clinical trial of RAD402, designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, whole-body distribution, and preliminary clinical activity of RAD402 in patients with advanced prostate cancer. The dose escalation Phase 1 study is designed to determine the Maximum Tolerated Dose and recommended Phase 2 dose for expansion.

Ga68-RAD301 – Peptide targeting αvB-integrin radiolabeled with Gallium 68

RAD301 is being evaluated in a Phase 1 imaging trial in patients with Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The αvB-integrin is a cellular marker for tumor invasion and metastatic growth, which correlates with decreased survival in several carcinomas, particularly pancreatic. RAD301 has previously received Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) from the FDA and data from the Phase 1 trial is supportive of continuing its development.

  • In September 2026, the Company announced positive data from the Phase 1 trial of RAD301 in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. RAD301 demonstrated a favorable safety profile in all evaluable participants as well as favorable biodistribution and significant tumor uptake in pancreatic cancer metastases, which supports the potential of αvβ6-integrin as a target for future therapeutic development and potentially as a theranostic pair.
