The new on-demand hiring experience connects people and businesses with skilled professionals who are online and ready to work now, on Upwork or from inside the AI tools they’re already using

Introducing Upwork Now

The right expert. Right when you need them.
The right expert. Right when you need them.

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Upwork Inc. (NASDAQ: UPWK), the world’s human and AI-powered work marketplace, today announced the public beta of Upwork Now. Clients can see available freelancers, review a shortlist and hire in minutes, while freelancers can connect with clients who are ready to hire and get work started.

With Upwork Now, a founder preparing to launch a website can find a developer to fix a last-minute issue. A marketing team facing a deadline can connect with a designer ready to help. Someone deep in a build with AI can bring in an expert to review their code before it ships. And through the Upwork MCP server, clients can do it without ever leaving the AI tools where their work began.

AI is making it easier to get started on projects and move work forward quickly. The ability to hire the right expert needs to keep pace. In an Upwork survey, 57% of clients said they would prefer to hire in a day or less.1 Upwork Now was built for that need, to help clients bring in human expertise at the speed of AI.

In early testing, clients who took advantage of Upwork Now typically hired in under 30 minutes, with the fastest hiring in under 10. When those clients reached out to freelancers, the typical response came in about five minutes.2

“The faster people work with AI, the more it matters that the right expert is there the moment a task needs human judgment, creativity, or careful review,” said Peter Sanborn, Chief Business Officer at Upwork. “Upwork Now unlocks a new on-demand way for people and AI to work together. Whether you’re on Upwork or deep in an AI tool, you can bring in highly skilled talent who can start right away, and freelancers get a way to turn their availability into work when they’re ready to take it on.”

For clients: When posting a job on Upwork.com, clients can turn on “Hire Now” to reach skilled professionals who are online and ready to start. Responses appear in a live feed and a real-time shortlist helps them review qualified candidates. Upwork Now will be coming soon to freelancer search.

For freelancers: Freelancers can turn on “Work Now” from their homepage or profile to signal they’re ready to start right away. They can then see which clients are actively online and hiring now while they search for jobs, and respond to those who need help immediately.

Inside AI tools: Clients can use Upwork Now from inside their favorite AI tools by connecting them to Upwork. Once connected, their AI tool can use the context of the work already underway to find freelancers who can start now. In the coming weeks, freelancers will also be able to manage their “Work Now” availability from their AI tools.

Upwork Now is the latest step in making human expertise available the moment work needs it, wherever that work begins. Earlier this year, Upwork launched its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling customers to hire, win jobs, and manage work inside any compatible AI tool. Where the MCP server lets agents connect with the Upwork Marketplace, Upwork Now lets them connect with human expertise on demand. Every action, whether taken by a person or an agent, is built on the same trust and safety infrastructure that backs Upwork engagements today.

Upwork Now is available as a public beta to all clients and freelancers on Upwork at no additional cost. To get started, visit Upwork.com or connect Upwork to your favorite AI tool at www.upwork.com/ai/plugins.

____________________________
1
Based on an Upwork survey of 150 U.S. based clients that hire on Upwork conducted April 2026.
2 Based on Upwork internal data from October 7th, 2026 to October 26th, 2026 for clients who turned on Upwork Now and hired within one hour of doing so. “Work started” refers to contract start. Response time measures the median time between a client’s outreach and a freelancer’s first reply.

Collaboration combines Omniapart’s risk management and compliance expertise with U.S.-based professional services resources, creating opportunities for future AI-enabled solutions.

ROME, Italy, and CLARKSBURG, Maryland, Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Omniapart S.r.l., an Italy-based provider of risk management and compliance consulting and proprietary agentic AI solutions, and Reliability Workplace Solutions, LLC (RWS), a company within publicly traded Reliability, Inc. (OTC: RLBY), today announced a strategic services agreement to support the delivery and expansion of specialized professional services in the United States and international markets.

Under the Master Services Agreement, executed October 29, 2026, RWS will source and provide qualified professionals to support Omniapart’s client engagements in risk assessment, auditing, compliance, gap analysis and related professional services.

“This agreement represents an important step in strengthening Omniapart’s presence in the United States and expanding our ability to serve multinational clients,” said Francesco Cipullo, Chief Executive Officer of Omniapart. “By combining our specialized consulting and technology expertise with the professional resources available through Reliability Workplace Solutions, we are building a stronger foundation for international growth.”

The collaboration builds upon a professional relationship dating to 2018–2019, when Omniapart partnered with Mark Speck through his former consulting firm, Specktrum, LLC, on U.S.-based auditing, compliance and professional services initiatives. Speck now serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of Reliability, Inc.

“We are pleased to build upon our longstanding relationship with Francesco and Omniapart,” said Mark Speck, President and Chief Financial Officer of Reliability, Inc. (OTC: RLBY). “This collaboration advances our strategy to diversify Reliability’s business, expand our professional services capabilities and establish relationships with multinational clients. We see meaningful opportunities to leverage our workforce expertise in support of specialized audit and consulting engagements.”

Expanding International Professional Services

Under the agreement, RWS will leverage its professional services capabilities and access to qualified U.S.-based talent to support Omniapart’s consulting and project delivery requirements.

Initial services are expected to include risk assessments, operational audits, compliance reviews, gap analyses and advisory support related to certification and regulatory requirements.

The collaboration is designed to serve multinational organizations with operations spanning the United States, Europe and Australia, providing access to specialized expertise and scalable professional resources.

“Thanks to the agreement with Reliability Workplace Solutions, we can strengthen our presence in the United States with high-caliber professionals and grow in our target market,” said Michele Marchisano, Chief Operating Officer of Omniapart.

Initial market opportunities include healthcare, energy, data center infrastructure and other industries where regulatory compliance, operational risk and quality assurance are critical business priorities.

“Our focus is on identifying and deploying qualified professionals who can meet the specialized requirements of Omniapart’s multinational clients,” said John Pickeral, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Reliability, Inc. “We believe our ability to deliver responsive, scalable resources will be instrumental in supporting these engagements.”

Combining Professional Expertise with Emerging AI Capabilities

Beyond traditional consulting services, the companies intend to explore potential opportunities to collaborate on the development, adaptation and deployment of Omniapart’s proprietary AI solutions, leveraging RWS’s access to specialized professional expertise.

Omniapart has developed AI-enabled compliance and risk management technologies, including Tony, its semantic agent originally developed to support GDPR compliance.

Central to Omniapart’s technology strategy is its Human Check approach, which emphasizes the importance of professional expertise, validation and continuing human oversight in AI-supported business processes.

“An AI agent is only as effective as the expertise of the people who train it,” said Cipullo. “Since 2019, with Tony, our semantic agent for GDPR compliance, we have applied the Human Check principle: people train AI agents and maintain oversight over time. Synthetic data can imitate a process, but only professional experience can identify what does not work.”

“As this relationship evolves, we see potential to combine our professional services capabilities with Omniapart’s AI technologies to address emerging client needs,” added Speck.

Omniapart also publishes Omniapart AI Blueprint, an English-language publication addressing emerging developments in AI governance, compliance and risk management.

Supporting International Growth

The collaboration supports Omniapart’s strategy to expand its presence in North America while serving multinational organizations operating across Europe, the United States and Australia. Both companies anticipate that the relationship will provide a foundation for additional professional services engagements as market opportunities develop.

The companies also see growing demand for specialized risk management, compliance and AI governance services as organizations navigate increasingly complex regulatory requirements and the adoption of artificial intelligence.

About Omniapart

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Rome, Italy, Omniapart provides consulting and technology solutions in risk management, compliance, auditing and certification, cybersecurity, training, sustainability and digital infrastructure.

Since 2019, the company has developed proprietary AI agents and related technologies based on an approach that integrates professional expertise, process knowledge and continuous human oversight.

HAZARD, Ky. and FRANKFORT, Ky. and DANVILLE, Ky. and LANCASTER, Ky., Nov. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kentucky First Federal Bancorp (Nasdaq:  KFFB), the holding company (the “Company”) for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Hazard and First Federal Savings Bank of Kentucky, Frankfort, Kentucky, announced net income of $919,000 or $0.11 diluted earnings per share for the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared to net income of $344,000 or $0.04 diluted earnings per share for the three months ended September 30, 2025, an increase of $575,000.

The increase in net income for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 was primarily attributable to higher net interest income, decreased non-interest expense, and slightly higher non-interest income, which were partially offset by increased provision for credit losses and higher income tax expense.  Net interest income increased $639,000 or 25.5% to $3.1 million due primarily to both an increase in interest income as well as a decrease in interest expense.  Interest income increased $159,000 or 3.1%, to $5.2 million, while interest expense decreased $480,000 or 18.8% to $2.1 million for the recently-ended quarter.

The average rate earned on interest-earning assets increased 38 basis points to 5.97% and was the primary reason for the increase in interest income, more than enough to make up for the decrease in average interest earning assets, which totaled $349.1 million for the recently-ended quarterly period, a decrease of $12.6 million or 3.5%. The increase in average rate earned is mostly due to the average interest rate earned on loans, which increased 47 basis points to 6.18% compared to the three months ended September 30, 2025. Interest rates on loans have increased due to new loan production at higher coupons as well as repricing of our adjustable rate mortgages to higher rates. The decrease in interest expense was attributed to both a decrease in the average balance of interest-bearing liabilities as well as a decrease in the average balance paid on those funds. The average rate paid on interest-bearing liabilities decreased 50 basis points to 2.82% and was the primary reason for the decrease in interest expense, while the average balance of interest-bearing liabilities decreased by $13.4 million or 4.4% to $293.0 million.

Non-interest expense decreased $130,000 or 5.9% for the recently-ended quarter compared to the three months ended September 30, 2025, primarily due to decreased outside service fees of $55,000, decreased FDIC insurance premiums of $19,000, decreased employee and compensation expense of $12,000, and decreased regulatory assessment expense of $12,000.

Non-interest income increased $28,000 or 18.3% and totaled $181,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2026, primarily due to net gains on sales of loans increasing $27,000 or 41.5% compared to September 30, 2025.

We recorded a provision for credit losses for the recently-ended quarter of $40,000 compared to no provision in the prior year period. Management determined that an increase in provision for loan losses for the quarter just ended was appropriate in light of the current economic environment and the recent increase in the overnight interest rate made by the Federal Open Market Committee. While the current economic indicators present a mixed bag of positive and negative attributes, the recent interest rate increase and market sentiment about future interest rate increases may increase pressure on borrowers and, therefore, impact our loan portfolio. Income tax expense increased $182,000 period to period, as income tax expense totaled $291,000 for the three months just ended compared to income tax expense of $109,000 in the prior year quarter. The increase is due to increased earnings, with the three months ended September 30, 2026 income before income taxes being $757,000 higher than that of the three months ended September 30, 2025.

At September 30, 2026, assets totaled $356.3 million, a decrease of $6.1 million or 1.7%, from $362.4 million at June 30, 2026, due primarily to a decrease in loans, net, which decreased $4.1 million or 1.3%. Investment securities decreased $2.1 million or 18.7% due to normal repayments and prepayments, as well as a decrease in fair market value of available for sale investments, which decreased $91,000 during the period.  Total liabilities decreased $6.8 million or 2.2% to $305.3 million at September 30, 2026, as total deposits decreased $7.2 million or 2.8% to $253.6 million.

At September 30, 2026, the Company reported its book value per share as $6.30.  Shareholders’ equity increased $669,000 or 1.3% to $51.0 million at September 30, 2026 compared to June 30, 2026. The increase in shareholders’ equity was primarily associated with net earnings for the quarter less dividends of $168,000 paid during the quarter.
