In 2022, the successful multiyear transformation of our company was underscored by our rebranding from Alliance Data to Bread Financial. The new brand signifies our emergence as a tech-forward financial services company providing solutions that empower today’s consumers. During this transformation we preserved our commitment to operate responsibly at every level of the business, starting at the top with our Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team, and permeating to our 7,500 dedicated associates.

As a purpose-driven financial services leader, sustainability is woven into our business strategy and enables us to provide win-win solutions for our brand partners and customers.

These include innovative products that enable our customers to responsibly finance purchases, make payments in their channel of choice, and even save for the future. We are proud of our sustainability-focused product advancements like our Bread CashbackTM American Express® Credit Card – not only does it fill a need in the market, but each card produced uses renewable biodegradable materials and utilizes carbon offsets, making the card carbon neutral.

In addition to supporting customers, Bread Financial strives to pay our success forward by supporting nonprofit organizations that strengthen our communities. Our community impacts are made possible in part by the efforts of our associates, who volunteered more than 3,700 hours last year in addition to financially supporting causes they care about most.

The generosity of our associates can only be surpassed by their tireless dedication and commitment to our long- term success. To further support their recognition and development, we enhanced our associate value proposition in 2022 to ensure our global associates continue to feel supported, valued, cared for and connected – all backed by our ongoing investment in their total rewards and wellbeing.

I am proud of what we achieved together in 2022 and am excited about our future. The more we accomplish, the more we recognize the opportunity and responsibility to do better for our customers, our associates, our stockholders, our communities and our planet.

CINCINNATI, August 25, 2023 /3BL/ – Cintas Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS) has earned further recognition for its workplace practices after being named recently to Forbes’ 2023 Best Employers for Women list. Forbes’ annual ranking was created to help women identify companies that serve their needs and for companies to evaluate their own support of women in their workplaces.

“We are very intentional and deliberate about our culture here at Cintas,” said Todd Schneider, Cintas President and CEO. “Our corporate culture is the foundation of everything we do and guides how we run our business. Our goal is to foster a workplace environment that allows every one of our employee-partners to succeed. We have unbelievably talented women throughout our company. We want to make sure they are fulfilled, happy and successful at Cintas, so we continue to attract and retain even more extraordinary talent to help drive our business ahead.”

Karen Carnahan, currently a member of Cintas’ Board of Directors, is a former 35-year Cintas employee-partner. She joined Cintas in 1979 as an accountant and rose through the ranks to Vice President and Treasurer then Vice President of Corporate Development before she was tapped as President and COO of the company’s former Document Management business. When that business merged with Shred-It in 2014, she served as its COO until her retirement in 2015. Carnahan was elected to Cintas’ Board in 2019.

Like Schneider, Carnahan credits the Fortune 500 company’s culture for its success – especially its influence on creating opportunities and support for its female workforce.

“You can’t overstate the power of the corporate culture,” Carnahan said. “When I joined the company back in 1979, I said to myself, ‘This company is truly unique.’ Our culture is the distinct thing that’s made us successful as a company and has also created tremendous opportunities for women that I have not seen at other companies.”

Forbes’ Best Employers for Women 2023 list was determined in partnership with global research firm Statista. About 40,000 women were asked to rate their company in areas such as working environment, salary, and employee diversity, and if they would recommend their company to a friend or family member. Other questions evaluated their perspectives on their employers’ pay equity, parental leave policies, leadership training programs for women and employer responses to workplace issues. Statista conducted additional research into women’s representation in company’s executive management and board positions to help round out the rankings.

“We know that our employee-partners value our support in all areas of their lives, especially outside of work,” said Max Langenkamp, Cintas Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer. “We look to offer an outstanding menu of benefits to our employee-partners – and that’s especially true for women and mothers. We’ve intentionally expanded support for mothers and parents in recent years and continue to seek opportunities to help them in and out of work,” Langenkamp added.

Melanie Barstad, another Director on Cintas’ Board, worked at the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies for 23 years before retiring in 2009 as President of Women’s Health in its Medical Device and Diagnostics Division. She also served as the co-chair of Johnson & Johnson’s world-renowned Women’s Leadership Initiative. She’s been a Director at Cintas since 2011 and recognizes Cintas’ dedication to its employee-partners – including its female workforce.

“Cintas is committed to diversity,” said Barstad. “We’re committed to inclusiveness. We’re committed to doing the right thing for our employee-partners and for the women that work here. And I’m honored and humbled to be able to be part of Cintas, and to be a part of bringing attention to the women at Cintas.”

NEW YORK, August 24, 2023 /3BL/ – Bloomberg announced it will host the Bloomberg Transition Finance Action Forum on September 19, 2023, in New York City. The Forum will bring together leaders across the private and public sectors to recognize progress made on transition finance and accelerate further action in support of a global net-zero economic transition.

Occurring alongside New York Climate Week and the UN General Assembly, the Forum will provide an opportunity for leaders across international climate finance to assess and outline progress that must be made ahead of COP28. The Forum will follow the second Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit co-hosted by the Earthshot Prize and Bloomberg Philanthropies.

“Investment in clean energy reached record high levels this year, but it’s still not happening fast enough,” said Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy on Climate Ambition and Solutions and Co-Chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ). “By knocking down barriers that stand in the way of investment, we can spread the economic and health benefits of clean energy and gain ground in the battle against climate change. With leaders from around the world in New York City for the UN General Assembly and Climate Week, this forum will seize the moment to encourage new public-private partnerships, spur innovation, and build momentum in the lead up to COP28 in November.”

Meeting the goal of the Paris Agreement to limit global warming requires the global economy to transition to net-zero – an undertaking that requires immediate, decisive, and collaborative action across governments, financial institutions, companies, and other stakeholders.

“The international community must deliver on the net-zero transition this decade to meet our goals,” said Mark Carney, the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance and Co-Chair of GFANZ. “It is imperative that we maintain a sense of urgency as we convene to identify silos, develop innovative financing structures and partnerships, and work to unlock catalytic transition finance from the public and private sectors.”

“The strength of our economy and financial system relies heavily on public and private sector action to address climate change and embrace the opportunities of the net-zero transition,” said Mary Schapiro, Vice Chair for Global Public Policy of Bloomberg and Vice Chair of GFANZ. “The Forum presents an opportunity to reflect on the progress we have achieved as a global community and evaluate the work needed to mainstream transition planning, mobilize capital to emerging markets and adopt supportive policies that will enable the transition to net zero and help us reach our climate goals.”

The event will be held from 3:30pm ET at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Media interested in attending the Transition Finance Action Forum can submit their request HERE.

AUSTIN, Minn., August 25, 2023 /3BL/ – In response to the devastating wildfires on Maui, Hormel Foods Corporation and the makers of the SPAM® brand — whose special relationship with the Hawaiian community spans decades — is sending resources to aid the disaster-relief efforts.

Hormel Foods and its SPAM® brand have made a product donation to support the efforts on Maui. Three truckloads of SPAM® products are on their way to the impacted areas with two more trucks following – totaling over 264,000 cans. Convoy of Hope — a nonprofit organization whose mission includes aiding those affected by natural disasters — is the company’s trusted partner on the ground, making sure that the product reaches the people most in need.

In all, the SPAM® brand has donated cash and product with a retail value of more than $1,000,000 to directly help those impacted by the wildfires. The brand has also created a specially designed SPAM® Brand Loves Maui” T-shirt available on SPAM.com, with 100% of proceeds to be donated to Aloha United Way’s Maui Fire Relief Fund for relief efforts in the area. The T-shirts can be ordered here. Additionally, Hormel Foods team members are also raising money to donate to the local area food bank, with a match from Hormel Foods.

“We are so grateful for our partners like Convoy of Hope and local Hawaii retailers who are helping us get more product to people in need as quickly as possible,” said Jennesa Kinscher, senior brand manager for the SPAM® brand. “The people of Hawaii have a special place in both the history and heart of the SPAM® brand. Our donation efforts are just one way we are showing the community our love and support back.”

Hormel Foods has long supported disaster efforts through partners including Convoy of Hope and World Central Kitchen, among others, contributing product and financial resources that have been used to help those affected by natural disasters and food insecurity. Convoy of Hope is currently on the ground in Hawaii, helping local partners distribute relief supplies, including SPAM® products to the those in need. To stay updated with the organization’s efforts, visit www.convoyofhope.org/disaster-services/2023-maui-wildfire.

“Convoy of Hope is incredibly grateful for this very generous donation from Hormel Foods and the SPAM® brand,” said Stacy Lamb, vice president, disaster services at Convoy of Hope. “We know how popular SPAM® products are, especially in Hawaii. This donation allows Convoy of Hope to deliver comfort to people whose lives have been turned upside down. The fact that SPAM® doesn’t need refrigeration makes it a perfect item for Convoy to deliver to survivors. Convoy of Hope is thankful that we can always count on the generosity of Hormel Foods, especially during difficult times.”

The SPAM® brand has long cherished its special relationship with the Hawaiian people, a community that consumes more than 7 million cans of SPAM® products every year, more than any other U.S. state. The true root of the island’s love for SPAM® products goes back to World War II, when the luncheon meat was served to GIs. By the end of the war, SPAM® products were a part of the local culture and today remain a popular comfort food.

After the triumph of Everything Everywhere All At Once at the Oscars this year, many people from the Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community were left feeling incredibly proud of that historic night. For one night, the community saw a moment of triumph, for a story and characters that reflected so much of their real-life experiences.

The AANHPI audience has made it clear – through their voices and dollar spend – that they desire for their stories to be seen and heard. Studios and advertisers can tap into the growing value of authentic stories and inclusive representation to engage an audience that is eager to see itself represented on screen.

In this report, Nielsen explores the media platforms and content that’s drawing Asian Americans. For marketers, content creators and media publishers, we hope you’ll see there is value – and audiences – to be gained when you embrace our community.

Highlights from the report include:

AANHPI audiences watch about 27% more streaming content – the platform with the highest AANHPI representation at more than 10% share of screen.Despite a slight dip in representation from 2021 to 2022, streaming programs are still significantly more inclusive of AANHPI people than other platforms. Streaming had more than twice the representation on broadcast and three times the representation on cable. In addition, Asian-inclusive content is highly bingeable and attracts all audiences beyond AANHPI viewers.Good content appeals to all audiences91% of AANHPI audiences and 87% of general audiences are open to content featuring people outside of their identity group. In addition, the report shows high bingeability scores of Asian-led content across top streaming platforms and opportunities for advertisers to better engage AANHPI audiences.Advertising in Asian-led content delivers valueAANHPI audiences are 46% more likely than the total population to buy from brands that advertise in inclusive content. In 2022 brands in the fashion, pet care, electronics and travel categories allocated a significant portion of their advertising budget toward content that features and appeals to the AANHPI community. These are also the categories where Asian Americans are spending more than the general population.
