At Delmarva Power, our commitment to the communities we serve comes from our dedicated employees, many calling the company home for much of their career like Larry Rohm, an integral part of our Gas team for 37 years. Known for his dedication and willingness to share his knowledge, the lead mechanic operator has left a lasting impression on his colleagues.

Kristina Brennan, manager of Gas field operations, describes him as a dedicated mentor who believes in sharing experiences to facilitate smoother processes within the department.

“Amongst the team, Larry is the epitome of a team player,” Brennan notes. “He is always willing to share his experiences, believing that knowledge sharing is crucial for continued success.”

Rohm’s collaborative nature not only strengthens the bonds within the team, but also fosters an environment where everyone feels supported and valued. His commitment to teamwork extends beyond mere cooperation; it embodies a genuine desire to see his colleagues succeed, earning him admiration from employees across the company.

Sean Momot, Gas supervisor and Rohm’s manager, also acknowledges Rohm’s positive influence, praising his knowledge and attitude. “From the time I was in the union with him, until now as his supervisor, Larry has always displayed a positive and knowledgeable attitude.”

Serena Wilson-Archie, director of regional gas operations, reflected on Larry’s recent insight as well. “At the start of this year, Larry shared that he had one word for me, adaptability; being able to adjust to new conditions or capacity to be modified for a new use or purpose. In the moment, I believe that was pertaining to our team, however, I took that a little further and attached it to the natural gas business and how this current leadership regime, including him, can position Delmarva Power’s Gas division for continued advancement.”

Rohm’s commitment to excellence and his support for his team continue to define his legacy. His dedication to empowering others and fostering a learning environment has shaped the future of gas field operations and has a positive impact on the customers we serve.

“I’m happy I stayed here,” said Rohm. “There were quite a few years whenever someone came here, they never left. It’s a good place to work.”

Larry Rohm’s contributions will continue inspiring those fortunate enough to work alongside him.

Content Safety

We target harmful content while creating space for varying ideas.

At GoDaddy, we believe open communication, freedom of expression, and diversity of thought is paramount to empowering people to express their beliefs. We recognize, however, that this must be balanced with safe and responsible management to respond to harmful content properly.

Registries and registrars like GoDaddy act as real estate agents of the digital world, providing domain registration services to the public. If a domain name is registered at one location but hosted elsewhere, the registrar may lack the authority or capability to remove or edit the content hosted on a website. Therefore, we share responsibility to address and mitigate negative consequences that may arise from the misuse of digital technologies to foster a safe, open, and responsible internet for all.

Our Content Safety Philosophy

GoDaddy’s Universal Terms of Service (UTOS) sets forth the terms and conditions governing the use of our sites, products, and services globally. It’s a violation of our policy to use our services to promote, encourage, or engage in violence or for any illegal activity, including, but not limited to the exploitation of children, the promotion of terrorism, the sale of prescription medicine without a valid prescription, and fraudulent activity. We address new challenges by stress-testing annually and reviewing our content safety policies.

For more information on our content safety philosophy, please review our Trust Center.

To earn the trust of our stakeholders, we take complaints and feedback seriously while building better products and services. Our dedicated Content Safety team reviews every submitted content complaint for possible violations of our UTOS or other content safety policies. If the team identifies a violation, it determines an appropriate response, which may include account suspension or termination or other actions as needed. Our Content Safety team processed nearly 10,000 complaint cases and responded within 46 hours, on average.1

Protecting Children in Digital Spaces

Since its inception in 2006, we’ve been a proud member of the Tech Coalition, a collaborative effort among industry leaders to prevent and eradicate online child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA). This coalition enables members across the industry to share knowledge and work together to protect children in the digital world. Through our deep involvement with the industry through organizations like the Tech Coalition, we developed industry standards for protecting children online and created and implemented state of the art software systems to combat CSEA on our platforms.

The fight against CSEA is far from over, but we’ll continue to collaborate with security companies, independent experts, law enforcement, and other government agencies to remove CSEA content, advance preventative technologies, and remain a leader in this space.

Ambitions for 2024

While we remain committed to championing diverse perspectives, we intend to continue our focus on minimizing the harmful impacts of online content within the scope of our UTOS and other content safety policies. We will also continue to closely monitor new challenges in this evolving landscape and seek to continue building trust with stakeholders.

Fore! a Great Cause

144 golfers swung into action to raise money for two incredible veterans support organizations—Caddie School for Soldiers, a caddie training school that helps veterans bond with fellow soldiers while they readjust to civilian life, and Taskforce Uplift, which provides resources to support the children and families of service members.

Hosted by the Kohler Alliance for Veterans and Supporters (KAVS) business resource group at our very own Blackwolf Run, the 2nd annual Veterans Alliance Charity Golf Outing raised more than $120K and brought together corporate sponsors, nonprofits, and the military community to help veterans live happier, healthier lives.

What are your reflections on the Office of Corporate Responsibility journey to date?

Since we established the Office of Corporate Responsibility (OCR) in 2022, we have continued to execute on our multi-year Community Investment Strategy (CIS), with a focus on our commitment to driving economic vitality in our communities.

OCR has made tremendous progress in the two years since we began. We have built and maintained solid partnerships both internally across the enterprise and externally with community partners, especially our Community Advisory Councils. These relationships have created the strong foundation for our execution against the CIS. With a focus on both qualitative and quantitative measures, we’re helping to create meaningful impact in our communities and we’re proud to be a part of this effort.

The CIS is a major commitment for Webster, and our entire leadership team has not only embraced it but they’re actively working to support its success. I’m also grateful for the continued enthusiasm and engagement of our colleagues. This truly shows the Webster values of Integrity, Collaboration, Agility, Accountability, Respect and Excellence in action.

What were some of the achievements in 2023?

2023 was a busy and productive year. We launched “Webster You’re Home,” our Special Purpose Credit Program aimed at expanding homeownership opportunities for low- to moderate-income (LMI) firsttime homebuyers. We know that homeownership strengthens our neighborhoods and helps individuals and families build generational wealth, and this new program will provide greater access to credit in economicallydisadvantaged communities.

We introduced Webster’s Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) team. These colleagues work to support the growth and development of minority- and women-owned small businesses across our footprint. Webster has also partnered with a number of organizations that support women- and minority-owned businesses in New England and New York.

Webster’s signature Finance Lab initiative continued to expand as we opened our third Finance Lab and announced three new Finance Labs in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Continuing our collaborative approach to corporate responsibility, we strengthened our partnerships with nonprofits across our footprint. We also engaged more deeply with internal teams to successfully launch our “Webster You’re Home” program, grow our Supplier Diversity program and expand community development lending and other OCR efforts.

How is Webster continuing its approach to Corporate Sustainability?

Our approach is tied to our mission and values: a strategic program clearly focused on positive social and environmental impact within an effective governance framework based on ethics and risk management.

Responsible governance is the cornerstone of everything we do at Webster. Our Board continues to oversee our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts, with the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee having primary responsibility for coordination of that oversight.

We’re firmly focused on achieving our community commitments and making the right long-term investments to support the economic vitality of our communities. We measure our progress not only by the milestones we reach, but also in the way our colleagues have matched our ambitions with actions.

As investors continue to demand more consistent and relevant ESG information, we’ve expanded our Corporate Responsibility reporting. This year, we added disclosures from the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework to our Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) disclosures. 2023 also marks the first time we have reported greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

What are some new Corporate Responsibility initiatives for 2024?

As we continue to execute on our multi-year Community Investment Strategy, we’ll be announcing three new Finance Labs, expanding this signature initiative for a total of nine programs across our footprint. We’re excited to grow our Supplier Diversity program, creating more opportunities for increased revenue, profit and growth for diverse small businesses in the communities we serve. We’re creating a multicultural campaign to engage with more communities in our footprint. We’ll also continue to develop our ESG strategies, creating a more formal program and maturing our processes.

These and other programs and projects are built on the foundations of our four Corporate Responsibility pillars: Economic Vitality, Valuing Our People, Our Environment and Responsible Governance. They create value across our business as they help to strengthen the systems and organizations that drive shared prosperity in our communities.
