Collaboration targets nearly 2,000 communities with a potential reach of approximately 20 million residents, combining connected care devices, age-friendly home upgrades and a unified data platform to expand hardware and recurring service opportunities

CHENGDU, China, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — WeTouch Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: WETH) (“WeTouch” or the “Company”) today announced a strategic cooperation agreement with Ruilan International to develop AI-powered home and community-based senior care solutions. The collaboration will combine WeTouch’s touch-interaction capabilities and planned smart hardware and software integration with Ruilan International’s community service resources to support connected senior care and age-friendly technology upgrades.

According to preliminary information provided by Ruilan International, its broader cooperation network is estimated to include approximately 700,000 paid members and access to nearly 2,000 communities across China. These figures are subject to further verification and may include resources operated by third-party partners. They do not represent existing WeTouch customers or committed participants in the proposed collaboration.

The companies plan to begin with a dedicated data platform and selected community deployments, followed by broader expansion based on operating results, member demand and commercial arrangements.

Connecting Smart Hardware, Data and Community Care

Under the cooperation framework, the companies intend to establish a dedicated data platform and supporting infrastructure as the project’s central technology and operational hub. The platform is intended to connect wearable devices, AI-enabled wheelchairs and other compatible senior care equipment with community service teams.

Subject to appropriate authorization and applicable data protection requirements, the proposed system would integrate device information, health and safety monitoring data, service requests and operational records. Planned functions include abnormal-condition alerts, service coordination, device management and community operating support.

For example, an alert generated by a connected wearable or home device could be routed to designated personnel for follow-up. An older adult could also use an accessible touch interface to request assistance, with the request directed to the relevant community service team.

By connecting intelligent equipment with local service delivery, the collaboration aims to support ongoing use of senior care technology and improve coordination among participating households, family members and service providers.

Extending Smart Technology into the Home

WeTouch plans to undertake or coordinate smart-home integration and age-friendly technology upgrades in participating households. The proposed scope includes adapting touch-control interfaces for older adults, integrating compatible sensors and connected devices, and upgrading hardware connectivity to link in-home equipment with the project’s unified senior care platform.

Potential applications include accessible home-control panels, connected lighting and environmental controls, emergency assistance interfaces, and integration with wearable devices and other compatible senior care equipment. These solutions are intended to make everyday home functions easier to use while enabling authorized alerts and service requests to reach designated family members or community service teams.

WeTouch intends to combine its touch-interaction capabilities with products and services from qualified technology and installation partners. This approach would allow the Company to participate in hardware supply, system integration and ongoing technical support while coordinating installation and specialized services where required.

Leveraging an Established Community and Membership Network

Ruilan International will coordinate access to participating communities, deployment locations, local service resources and member outreach. It will also support the coordination of senior care equipment and technology resources within its cooperation network. WeTouch will undertake or coordinate platform development, hardware integration, smart-home technology upgrades, system deployment and technical support.

The estimated 700,000 paid members across Ruilan International’s broader cooperation network represent a potential audience for evaluating and introducing the proposed offerings. The companies intend to assess member needs and community operating requirements to develop suitable equipment configurations and service packages across home safety, assisted mobility, accessible home controls and community-based care.

Following initial deployments, the companies plan to refine technical interfaces, installation procedures and service workflows to support expansion across additional participating communities.

Supporting Procurement and Commercial Rollout

The cooperation framework also contemplates financial support arrangements from Ruilan International to facilitate procurement and inventory of eligible products, including wearable devices, AI-enabled wheelchairs and other smart senior care equipment. Funding sources, amounts, costs and implementation conditions will be established through separate agreements.

The companies intend to coordinate equipment supply, community demand and procurement funding to support phased deployment. Subsequent commitments will be guided by actual orders and implementation requirements.

Expanding Hardware and Recurring Service Opportunities

WeTouch intends to explore revenue opportunities from smart hardware and touch-interaction modules, smart-home integration, platform deployment, systems integration, software services, maintenance and customized senior care solutions.

As deployments progress, the Company also plans to evaluate subscription-based, usage-based and other recurring service arrangements. These offerings could extend its participation beyond equipment delivery into ongoing device management, software upgrades and technical support.

The Company believes the collaboration provides a practical opportunity to extend its touch-interaction capabilities into connected homes and community senior care. By combining accessible interfaces, integrated equipment and responsive local services, the proposed model is intended to support both everyday household needs and longer-term care coordination. Operating feedback from participating communities would help guide future product development and service offerings.

The agreement establishes a strategic cooperation framework. Deployment volumes, purchase commitments, implementation schedules, product configurations, pricing and revenue-sharing arrangements remain subject to subsequent agreements and actual orders. The estimated 700,000 paid members across Ruilan International’s broader cooperation network do not represent existing WeTouch customers, subscriptions to the proposed platform or committed equipment purchases. The estimated residential population of approximately 20 million describes the potential geographic footprint of the participating communities and does not represent confirmed users or customers. No specific adoption rate or revenue contribution is assured.

DENVER, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — (247marketnews.com) — NeOnc Technologies Holdings (NASDAQ: NTHI) is taking its brain cancer research story to a national television audience at a moment when several developments are putting the clinical-stage biotech in the spotlight. The company is scheduled to appear on Health Uncensored with Dr. Drew on Fox Business Network this Sunday, October 25, at 5:30 p.m. ET, following a series of milestones involving its investigational brain tumor therapies and growing presence in Abu Dhabi.

CEO Amir F. Heshmatpour and founder and Chief Scientific Officer Thomas Chen, MD, PhD, will discuss NeOnc’s approach to a persistent challenge in oncology: delivering potential treatments to tumors inside the brain while navigating the protective blood-brain barrier. The company’s intranasal candidate, NEO100, is designed to provide a non-invasive route for delivering therapy to the brain without relying on surgery or systemic chemotherapy as the delivery method.

The television appearance comes just days after NeOnc announced a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health to explore collaboration in CNS cancer research, clinical development expertise, specialist training and real-world evidence. The framework also contemplates evaluating future clinical studies and the possibility of a regional presence.

The company has also reported early clinical observations involving a critically ill three-year-old boy receiving investigational NEO100 through its Compassionate Care program in Abu Dhabi. His treating physicians reported that he was breathing independently without ventilator support and beginning to move his legs after treatment began.

Together, the developments provide a compelling narrative: a biotech seeking to advance a different approach to brain tumor treatment, build international research relationships and bring its work to a wider audience. Heshmatpour summarized the ambition in the company’s recent announcement: “We believe that we will make a significant impact in the standard of care for adults and kids suffering with brain cancer.”

NeOnc’s Fox Business appearance arrives as its scientific mission gains visibility and its Abu Dhabi activities expand.

Earnings per share, basic and diluted, increased 39.0%, to $0.57, for the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared to $0.41 for the three months ended September 30, 2025. Net income was $8.2 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, an increase of 37.4% compared to net income of $6.0 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2025. Earnings per share, basic and diluted, increased 37.0%, to $1.63, for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, compared to $1.19 for the nine months ended September 30, 2025.

President’s Message

President and Chief Executive Officer, Marcie A. Barber stated, “We are very pleased to announce record quarterly net income of $2.9 million, which represents a 41% increase over the third quarter last year. This improvement is the result of quality loan growth at market rates and replacing underpriced securities and loans originated in the prior lower interest rate environment. This dynamic resulted in a $1.4 million increase in net interest income and a 49 basis point improvement in our net interest margin over last year’s third quarter. Net income of $8.2 million for the nine-month period represents a 37% increase compared to the first three quarters of last year. Our credit quality remains strong, with nonperforming loans plus delinquent loans totaling 0.1% of total loans. Our focus for the fourth quarter of 2026 is to continue loan growth through focused proactive outreach and customer-centric responsiveness.”

Financial Results Year-to-Date

Annualized return on average assets for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 was 1.21%, an increase of 31.5% compared to the annualized return on average assets of 0.92% for the nine months ended September 30, 2025. Annualized return on average equity for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 was 17.88%, an increase of 14.2% compared to the annualized return on average equity of 15.65% for the nine months ended September 30, 2025.

Net interest income increased by 22.0%, to $22.6 million, for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 compared to $18.6 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2025. Average earning assets increased $40.1 million, or 4.7%, to $892.6 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. This increase was due to an increase of $69.1 million, or 12.5%, in average loans, which was partially offset by a decrease of $29.6 million, or 10.1%, in average investment securities as principal paydowns on the mortgage-backed securities portfolio, as well as proceeds from maturities and called securities, were used to fund loan growth rather than being reinvested into the securities portfolio. For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, average interest-bearing liabilities increased $24.5 million, or 4.0%, from the comparable 2025 period. The increase was driven by growth in all categories of interest-bearing deposits, which collectively increased $26.3 million, or 4.7%. Partially offsetting this growth in interest-bearing deposits was a decline in average borrowings of $1.8 million, or 3.5%.

The yield on earning assets increased 37 basis points, to 4.87%, for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 compared to the same period last year, driven by an increase in loan yields of 24 basis points, while the cost to fund interest earning assets with interest bearing liabilities decreased 15 basis points, to 2.08%. The net interest margin, on a fully tax equivalent basis, increased from 2.94% for the nine months ended September 30, 2025 to 3.43% for the nine months ended September 30, 2026.

Juniata recorded a provision for credit losses of $742,000 in the nine months ended September 30, 2026 compared to a provision for credit losses of $669,000 in the nine months ended September 30, 2025. The increase in the provision for credit losses between nine-month periods was due to continued loan growth.

Non-interest income was $4.3 million for both the nine months ended September 30, 2026 and September 30, 2025. Most significantly impacting the comparative nine-month periods was an increase of $235,000 in the change in value of equity securities in the 2026 period, which was partially offset by a $209,000 loss on the sales and calls of securities due to a portfolio yield restructuring plan undertaken in the second quarter of 2026. Also impacting the comparative nine-month periods was an increase of $58,000 in fees derived from loan activity, which was offset by decreases of $89,000 in customer service fees and $63,000 in commissions from sales of non-deposit products.

Non-interest expense was $16.4 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 compared to $15.2 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, an increase of 7.8%. Most significantly impacting non-interest expense in the comparative nine-month periods were increases in employee compensation and benefits expenses of $303,000 and $571,000, respectively. Also impacting the comparative nine-month periods were increases of $60,000 and $71,000 in occupancy and equipment expenses, respectively, due to increased maintenance and depreciation expenses.

An income tax provision of $1.6 million was recorded for the nine months ended September 30, 2026 compared to an income tax provision of $1.1 million recorded for the nine months ended September 30, 2025. The increase in the income tax provision was due primarily to the increase in taxable income in the 2026 period.

Financial Results for the Quarter

Annualized return on average equity for the three months ended September 30, 2026 was 18.13%, an increase of 17.2%, compared to 15.47% for the three months ended September 30, 2025.

Net interest income increased by 20.9%, to $7.9 million, for the three months ended September 30, 2026 compared to $6.6 million for the three months ended September 30, 2025. Average interest earning assets increased 4.2%, to $900.8 million, for the three months ended September 30, 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, due to an increase of $68.7 million, or 12.1%, in average loans, which was partially offset by a decrease of $33.1 million, or 11.5%, in average investment securities. Average interest-bearing liabilities increased $21.9 million, or 3.6%, for the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared to the same period in 2025. The yield on earning assets increased 36 basis points, to 4.95%, for the three months ended September 30, 2026 compared to same period last year, driven by an increase in loan yields of 20 basis points, while the cost to fund interest earning assets with interest bearing liabilities decreased 16 basis points, to 2.06%. The net interest margin, on a fully tax equivalent basis, increased from 3.04% for the three months ended September 30, 2025 to 3.53% for the three months ended September 30, 2026.

Juniata recorded a provision for credit losses of $186,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2026 compared to a provision for credit losses of $216,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2025.

Non-interest income was $1.5 million for both the three months ended September 30, 2026 and September 30, 2025. Most significantly impacting non-interest income in the comparative three-month periods were identical decreases of $31,000 each of customer service fees, fees derived from loan activity and the change in value of equity securities. Partially offsetting these declines were increases in trust fees and debit card income.

Non-interest expense was $5.7 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026 compared to $5.4 million for the three months ended September 30, 2025, an increase of 5.5%. The increase in noninterest expense during the comparative three-month periods was primarily attributable to increases of $184,000 in employee benefits expense, driven by higher medical claims costs and $82,000 in data processing expense. These increases were partially offset by a $142,000 decrease in employee compensation expense.

An income tax provision of $576,000 was recorded for the three months ended September 30, 2026 compared to an income tax provision of $357,000 recorded for the three months ended September 30, 2025. The increase was primarily attributable to higher taxable income during the 2026 period.

Total loans increased by $36.0 million, or 6.0%, as of September 30, 2026 compared to year-end 2025 primarily due to an increase in commercial real estate loans. Total deposits increased by $31.7 million, or 4.1%, as of September 30, 2026 compared to December 31, 2025 mainly due to an increase in interest bearing demand and time deposits. VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Atico Mining Corporation (the “Company” or “Atico”) (TSX.V: ATY | OTCID: ATCMF) announces its operating results for the three months ended September 30, 2026 from its El Roble mine. Production for the quarter totaled 2.08 million pounds of copper and 2,472 ounces of gold in concentrates, a decrease of 7% for copper and an increase of 30% for gold, respectively, over the same period in 2025.

We are seeing the planned improvements in quarterly production as we overcome the operational challenges faced during the development and preparation of the higher-grade areas of the mine. Gold grade and recovery were particularly strong this period and gets us closer to our gold guidance production. Higher gold production is also having a meaningful positive impact on our all-in sustaining cash costs, while we also benefit from strong revenue driven by higher metal prices” stated Fernando E. Ganoza, CEO. “We anticipate production for the following quarter will continue to improve driven by higher copper and gold head grades, while at the same time we are advancing the reserves report update where we expect an increase in the life of mine.

Third Quarter Operational Highlights

  • Production of 2.08 million pounds of copper contained in concentrates; a decrease of 7% over Q3 2025.
  • Production of 2,472 ounces of gold contained in concentrates; an increase of 30% over Q3 2025.
  • Average processed tonnes per day of 802, an increase of 8% over Q3 2025.
  • Copper head grade of 1.97%, an increase of 8% over Q3 2025.
  • Gold head grade of 2.09 grams per tonne; an increase of 30% over Q3 2025.
  • Copper and gold recovery of 91.4% and 70.1%; no significant change for copper and an increase for gold of 37%, respectively, over Q3 2025.

El Roble Mine

The El Roble mine is a high grade, underground copper and gold mine with nominal processing plant capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, located in the Department of Choco in Colombia. Its commercial product is a copper-gold concentrate.

Since obtaining control of the mine on November 22, 2013, Atico has upgraded the operation from a historical nominal capacity of 400 tonnes per day.

El Roble’s reserves estimate, with an effective date of March 12, 2024, includes Proven and Probable mineral reserves of 828 thousand tonnes averaging 2.49% Cu, 2.20 g/t Au and a life of mine until Q1-2027. A full NI 43-101 technical report is available on SEDAR+.  For more information on the reserves estimate refer to SEDAR+ and on the Company’s website.

Mineralization is open at depth and along strike and the Company plans to further test the limits of the deposit. On the larger land package, the Company has identified a prospective stratigraphic contact between volcanic rocks and black and grey pelagic sediments and cherts that has been traced by Atico geologists for ten kilometers. This contact has been determined to be an important control on VMS mineralization on which Atico has identified numerous target areas prospective for VMS type mineralization occurrence, which is the focus of the current surface drill program at El Roble.

Company shares 12 of 18 draft PSAR chapters with NRC for readiness review, targets remaining six by October 30

Major reactor components secured or under procurement as Company advances toward fully funded 2027 first-of-a-kind deployment

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Terra Innovatum Global N.V. (NASDAQ: NKLR) (“Terra Innovatum” or the “Company“), developer of the SOLO™ Micro-Modular Reactor, today announced continued progress in its U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (“NRC“) licensing program, having now shared 12 of 18 planned chapters of its Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (“PSAR“) with NRC staff as part of the ongoing construction permit application readiness assessment.

The Company expects to provide the remaining six draft chapters by October 30, 2026, and anticipates the next readiness-review milestone by the end of November, subject to NRC scheduling.

These developments, together with continued progress in the procurement of major reactor components and preparations for industrial manufacturing, reflect Terra Innovatum’s advancement toward its targeted first-of-a-kind (“FOAK“) SOLO™ reactor deployment in 2027. Importantly, the Company continues to expect that its existing financial resources will be sufficient to fund the licensing, manufacturing, construction and initial operations of its first reactor without requiring additional equity financing under its current deployment plan.

Advancing Toward Completion of Construction Permit Application

Terra Innovatum continues to execute its regulatory strategy through a structured program of technical documentation, preapplication engagement and ongoing coordination with NRC staff.

The Company’s latest progress, including additional draft PSAR chapters shared with the NRC on October 19, brings the total to 12 of 18 planned chapters.

Terra Innovatum is targeting delivery of the remaining six chapters by October 30, marking an important milestone in the preparation of its Construction Permit Application (“CPA“).

The Company’s ongoing preapplication readiness assessment with NRC staff is designed to identify and address technical questions, information requirements and potential licensing issues in advance of formal CPA submission. The complete PSAR is expected to be formally submitted as part of the CPA following completion of the readiness-review process.

The Company currently anticipates the next readiness-review milestone by the end of November 2026, subject to NRC scheduling and regulatory processes.

Fully Funded Path to First-of-a-Kind Deployment

Terra Innovatum continues to expect that its existing financial resources will be sufficient to fund the licensing, manufacturing, construction and initial operations of its first SOLO™ reactor, without requiring additional equity capital under its current deployment plan.

The Company reported $91.1 million of cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2026, providing a substantial capital foundation to advance its defined development and deployment objectives.

Terra Innovatum believes this financial position is a meaningful competitive advantage in the emerging advanced nuclear industry, allowing the Company to remain focused on achieving key regulatory, manufacturing and deployment milestones while maintaining capital discipline.

The Company’s strategy is built around a capital-efficient operating model that leverages established industrial manufacturing partners, commercially available components and an outsourced manufacturing approach designed to limit the need for substantial investment in dedicated production infrastructure.

Advancing First-of-a-Kind Reactor Procurement and Industrial Manufacturing

In parallel with its licensing activities, Terra Innovatum continues to make tangible progress toward the physical realization of its first SOLO™ reactor, advancing the procurement of major equipment and components alongside its industrial manufacturing program.

The Company has already initiated procurement and made down payments for several critical components of its first reactor, including graphite components from Mersen, the turbine and generator from Howden, and the air-cooled condenser from SPG Dry Cooling. Terra Innovatum is also in advanced discussions to finalize orders for the remaining major equipment packages, including the reactor shutdown system, instrumentation and control (“I&C“) systems, valves and steam generator.

As of today, Terra Innovatum has identified and is working with approximately 80% of its anticipated suppliers. This figure reflects supplier identification and engagement; purchase orders and payments are progressing separately by equipment package.

Significantly, these components are being procured for the Company’s first-of-a-kind reactor intended for deployment, rather than for a laboratory prototype or experimental demonstration system. This distinction reflects the maturity of the SOLO™ design and Terra Innovatum’s progression beyond conceptual engineering toward the procurement, manufacturing and integration of equipment intended for its first operating reactor.

This procurement activity is complemented by continued progress across the Company’s established industrial manufacturing network. As announced on October 14, Terra Innovatum advanced its first-of-a-kind manufacturing program with ATB Riva Calzoni and Boldrocchi, including reactor assembly planning, manufacturing-process development and testing of critical helium circulation equipment.

Collectively, these activities demonstrate the Company’s increasingly integrated approach to licensing, procurement and manufacturing execution, with key workstreams progressing in parallel to support its targeted 2027 deployment.

SOLO™ is designed to utilize commercially available components and conventional low-enriched uranium (“LEU“) fuel, including standard 4.95% enriched uranium. This approach is intended to minimize reliance on novel fuel supply chains, specialized manufacturing infrastructure and fundamental technology breakthroughs, while supporting a scalable and cost-efficient commercial deployment model.

The Company’s first-of-a-kind reactor is designed to establish the manufacturing, licensing and operating foundation for subsequent commercial SOLO™ installations, with broader deployment targeted to begin in 2028.

Management Commentary

“Terra Innovatum continues to execute against the milestones we have established for bringing SOLO™ to market,” said Alessandro Petruzzi, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Terra Innovatum. “With 12 of 18 planned PSAR chapters now shared with the NRC, we are approaching another important milestone in our licensing program. At the same time, we are translating years of engineering and design work into tangible industrial execution, with major equipment already under procurement and our manufacturing partners preparing for construction of our first reactor.”

“What is particularly important is that the equipment we are procuring is intended for our first deployed SOLO reactor, not for a prototype or experimental demonstration. We are advancing the actual systems and components required to build and operate our first unit. This reflects our confidence in the maturity of the design and our focus on moving directly toward deployment.”

“Equally important, we believe we have the financial resources necessary to execute our first-of-a-kind deployment plan without requiring additional equity financing. The combination of regulatory progress, active procurement of major reactor components, an established industrial supply chain and a funded deployment plan positions Terra Innovatum to remain focused on execution and achieving our 2027 deployment objective.”

As of September 30, 2026, the Company had repurchased approximately $8.4 million of its common stock under the program, excluding commissions and fees, leaving approximately $6.6 million available under the prior authorization. Except as described above, the terms of the program are unchanged.

“The Board’s decision to more than double the repurchase authorization reflects our confidence in the durability of GunBroker’s cash generation and our belief that our shares represent an attractive use of capital at current prices,” said Steve Urvan, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. “We have been a consistent and disciplined buyer of our stock since the program launched in January, and the strength of our balance sheet allows us to continue returning capital to shareholders from free cash flow while preserving the ability to continue investing in the platform and preserving the flexibility to pursue strategic opportunities. Allocating capital to its highest and best use is central to how we run the Company.”

Repurchases under the program may be made from time to time, in management’s discretion and within the limits of the Board’s authorization, through a variety of methods, including open market purchases, privately negotiated transactions, and other means in accordance with federal securities laws, including pursuant to one or more Rule 10b5-1 trading plans. The timing, volume, and value of any repurchases will be determined based on factors including market conditions, the Company’s liquidity and capital needs, and other factors deemed relevant by management.

Repurchases will be funded from existing cash balances, future operating cash flows or other legally available funds and remain subject to applicable law, the Company’s insider trading policy, applicable trading-window restrictions, and debt covenants and other contractual restrictions. The Board’s authorization does not itself amend any existing Rule 10b5-1 trading plan. The program does not obligate the Company to repurchase any particular number of shares and may be modified, suspended, or terminated at any time at the discretion of the Board or management.

Data from ongoing study supports the potential clinical utility of whole-genome sequencing-based Precise MRD™ to identify recurrence risk and detect disease earlier following surgery

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Myriad Genetics, Inc., (NASDAQ: MYGN), a leader in molecular diagnostic testing and precision medicine, today announces new data from the ongoing MONSTAR-SCREEN-3 study demonstrating the potential of its whole-genome sequencing (WGS)-based Precise MRD™ platform to support ultra-sensitive molecular residual disease (MRD) detection in patients with resectable colorectal and pancreatic cancers.

The findings, which will be presented as part of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2026, reinforce the role of highly sensitive MRD testing after curative-intent surgery in tumor types where earlier insight into recurrence risk may help inform monitoring and treatment decisions.

“These data reinforce the potential of Precise MRD to bring more sensitive, personalized monitoring to cancers where recurrence can be difficult to identify until disease burden is higher,” said Dale Muzzey, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer, Myriad Genetics. “By leveraging whole-genome sequencing to build individualized panels capable of detecting ctDNA at very low levels, Precise MRD may help clinicians identify recurrence risk earlier and make more informed decisions about patient management following surgery.”

New MONSTAR-SCREEN-3 Data Support Utility of Ultra-Sensitive MRD Detection Across Colorectal and Pancreatic Cancers

The MONSTAR-SCREEN-3 data highlight the performance of Myriad’s WGS-based Precise MRD platform in two high-need settings: resectable colorectal cancer and resectable pancreatic cancer. The study evaluated whether personalized, ultra-sensitive MRD testing could identify patients at higher risk of recurrence following surgery and provide earlier molecular insight than conventional clinical surveillance.

In patients with resectable colorectal cancer, ctDNA detected one month after surgery was strongly associated with disease progression. ctDNA was detected prior to clinical recurrence in all observed recurrence events, with a median lead time of four months. More than half of post-surgical ctDNA-positive patients were identified at ultra-sensitive levels, i.e., below 100 parts per million.

Researchers also reported initial findings in patients with resectable pancreatic cancer, a low-shedding tumor type in which ctDNA detection has historically been challenging. Personalized panel creation was successful for all evaluable patients, with half achieving the maximum 1,000-variant panel. Patients with MRD detected one month after surgery had significantly worse recurrence-free survival than those without detectable MRD, supporting further evaluation of WGS-based MRD testing in this high-need setting.

“Together, these findings add to a growing body of evidence supporting ultra-sensitive MRD detection as a tool to improve post-surgical risk stratification and disease monitoring,” said Takayuki Yoshino, MD, PhD, National Cancer Center Hospital East and principal investigator of the MONSTAR-SCREEN-3 study. “The consistent association between post-operative ctDNA detection and patient outcomes, coupled with the ability to identify recurrence months before conventional methods, highlights the potential clinical value of ultra-sensitive MRD assessment for guiding follow-up strategies in patients with resectable cancers.”

The MONSTAR-SCREEN-3 findings will be featured in the following ESMO presentations:
