CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NOVONIX Limited (“NOVONIX” or the “Company”) today announced a strategic partnership with ACP Technologies, LLC (“ACPT”) to advance the development of a fully domestic anode material supply chain for the North American battery industry. The parties have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) that provides a framework to pursue collaborative projects and negotiate definitive agreements.

With this strategic partnership, NOVONIX will be able to expand its product portfolio to offer customers a completely domestic pitch coated synthetic graphite anode active material (AAM). This new product class opens the door to demanding applications such as drones for military applications, as well as enhancing the fast-charging capability of the Company’s materials.

ACPT is a U.S.-based technology company developing proprietary processes for converting low-value petroleum-derived feedstocks into engineered carbon precursors. ACPT’s patented processes are used to produce high-value pitch material, providing a critical domestic input for battery manufacturing and advanced materials applications.

ACPT has participated in numerous U.S. government programs across the defense and energy sectors, underscoring its strategic relevance to domestic critical materials supply chains. Today, there are limited viable U.S.-based alternatives for anode materials, and ACPT is working to address this crucial gap.

Under the MOU, NOVONIX and ACPT intend to pursue several projects on synthetic graphite AAM, mass production process development, and proprietary technology advancement. The parties will work together to develop new materials and use ACPT’s current offerings to improve the performance of NOVONIX’s AAM.

“As we scale our U.S. manufacturing footprint, strategic relationships like this are essential,” said Harrison Kreafle, VP of Technology Development for NOVONIX. “ACPT brings a differentiated, domestic solution that elevates product performance and strengthens the U.S. supply chain.”

“NOVONIX is an ideal partner for ACPT as we expand the application of our proprietary pitch and carbon precursor technologies into the battery materials market,” said Kevin Mulrenin, President of ACPT. “By combining ACPT’s ability to convert petroleum-derived feedstocks into tailored carbon precursors with NOVONIX’s expertise in synthetic graphite and anode materials, we believe we can accelerate the development and commercialization of a competitive North American supply chain for battery-grade graphite.”

Materials produced through the collaboration are expected to support process validation and customer sampling, further improving performance for new markets, and advancing the qualification and commercialization of new domestic feedstocks and precursor materials for AAM production.

This announcement has been authorised for release by NOVONIX Chairman, Admiral Robert J. Natter, USN Ret.

  • Long-acting injectables (LAIs) offer an opportunity to improve adherence and potential outcomes for patients with schizophrenia
  • LongActingImpact.com is a new resource center designed to support clinicians in having informed treatment conversations with those living with schizophrenia
  • As a leader in neuroscience, Teva is committed to supporting clinicians by providing evidence-based resources which could help improve schizophrenia care

PARSIPPANY, N.J., and TEL AVIV, Israel, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Teva Pharmaceuticals, a U.S. affiliate of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE and TASE: TEVA), today announced the launch of LongActingImpact.com, a new educational website for healthcare providers (HCPs) with information to support informed treatment discussions and decision-making around the role of long-acting injectables (LAIs) in schizophrenia care. This bespoke resource is intended to equip clinicians with key information on LAI benefits and practical guidance for discussing LAIs with their patients.

The new resource provides HCPs with information focused on key topics, including:

  • How LAIs reduce relapse risk and protect patient outcomes
  • Strategies for ensuring consistent treatment delivery when patients struggle with adherence to daily medication
  • How LAIs can support continuity of care, especially during the critical transition from inpatient to outpatient settings
  • Step-by-step guidance for navigating patient conversations, from identifying life goals to building trust through open, ongoing dialogue

According to an analysis, 67% of patients taking oral medications for schizophrenia were nonadherent or stopped taking them altogether.1 Long-acting treatment options, like LAIs, may help people challenged with taking a daily medication. Despite this, LAIs remain underutilized due to perceived patient resistance and operational complexities.

“Long-acting injectables can help address one of the most persistent challenges in schizophrenia care – consistent medication adherence – but their potential cannot be fully realized if they are not considered as a treatment option. We’ve heard from physicians that systemic hurdles, along with the complexities of navigating treatment conversations, can create barriers to care,” said Verena Ramirez Campos, VP of U.S. Medical Affairs and Global Innovative Strategy at Teva. “LongActingImpact.com is our commitment to helping remove those barriers by empowering clinicians with the right resources to ensure that people living with schizophrenia have a better chance at a life free from relapse.”

An estimated 2.2 million people are currently diagnosed with schizophrenia in the U.S.2 Living with schizophrenia carries profound implications for a person’s life and is linked to suboptimal long-term outcomes, with medication adherence to daily oral options frequently presenting as a major impediment to effective care.3

“Many patients don’t hear about long-acting injectables until after they’ve experienced repeated relapses or hospitalizations, even though they have been part of schizophrenia care for years,” said Bryce Reynolds, MD at Carolina Outreach. “As clinicians, our role is to introduce these options earlier and use every available tool to integrate them into our practice and support more streamlined approaches to treatment.”

About Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a chronic, progressive and severely debilitating mental disorder that affects how one thinks, feels and acts.4 Patients experience an array of symptoms, which may include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech or behavior and impaired cognitive ability.4,5,6 Approximately 1% of the world’s population will develop schizophrenia in their lifetime, and 2.2 million people in the U.S. are currently diagnosed with the condition.2,5,6 Although schizophrenia can occur at any age, the average age of onset tends to be in the late teens to the early 20s for men, and the late 20s to early 30s for women.4 The long-term course of schizophrenia is marked by episodes of partial or full remission broken by relapses that often occur in the context of psychiatric emergency and require hospitalization.6 Approximately 80% of patients experience multiple relapses over the first five years of treatment, and each relapse carries a biological risk of loss of function, treatment refractoriness, and changes in brain morphology.7,8,9 Patients are often unaware of their illness and its consequences, contributing to treatment nonadherence, high discontinuation rates, and ultimately, significant direct and indirect healthcare costs from subsequent relapses and hospitalizations.4,5,6,7,8,9

ATHENS, Greece, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TOP Ships Inc. (the “Company” or “TOP Ships”) (NYSE American: TOPS), an international owner and operator of modern, fuel-efficient “ECO” tanker vessels, today announced its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026. The Company reported net income of $6.5 million, revenues of $25.5 million, EBITDA of $17.2 million and net cash provided by operating activities of $11.1 million. Basic and diluted earnings per common share were $0.68 and $0.61, respectively. As of June 30, 2026, the Company had cash and cash equivalents (including restricted cash) of $13.3 million, total assets of $373.5 million and total stockholders’ equity of $76.7 million. The Company’s unaudited interim condensed consolidated financial statements and related operating and financial review for the six months ended June 30, 2026 are included in the Company’s Report on Form 6-K furnished to the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 15, 2026.

Evangelos J. Pistiolis, President and Chief Executive Officer of TOP Ships, commented:

“The first half of 2026 was profitable and cash-generative. We earned net income of $6.5 million and EBITDA of $17.2 million on revenues of $25.5 million and generated $11.1 million of net cash from operating activities.

At the same time, we have significantly reshaped the Company’s growth profile. Our newbuilding program now comprises eight high-specification 47,499 dwt MR product tankers scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2029, one of which we have agreed to sell. Each vessel comes with a seven-year time charter with Trafigura commencing on its delivery, with a charterer’s option to extend for four additional years, representing contracted revenue of $539.8 million, including the optional periods and excluding the vessel we have contracted to sell.

Subsequent to June 30, 2026, we agreed to acquire three additional high-specification, scrubber-fitted 49,940 dwt MR newbuildings, which come with five-year time charters to an oil major, with a charterer’s option to extend for one additional year, adding $140.6 million of contracted revenue including the optional periods. Approximately 85% of the construction installments for these vessels are financed, or expected to be financed, through lease financing arrangements agreed as part of these transactions.

The result is a modern, fuel-efficient fleet with employment secured from the delivery of each vessel. In aggregate, our newbuilding program represents contracted revenue, including the optional periods, of $680.4 million, providing long-term revenue visibility. Consistent with this focus on our core business, in July we elected not to proceed with the potential acquisition of certain residential real estate assets in Dubai and applied the $23.5 million paid under the related letter of intent toward the acquisition of the three MR newbuildings referred to above. Finally, we continue to pursue the divestiture of the megayacht M/Y Para Bellvm with the objective of releasing capital for redeployment into our core tanker business.”

About the Company

TOP Ships Inc. is an international owner and operator of ocean-going vessels focusing on modern, fuel-efficient eco tanker vessels transporting crude oil, petroleum products (clean and dirty) and bulk liquid chemicals. The Company’s tanker operating fleet has a total capacity of 857,000 dwt and consists of one 50,000 dwt product/chemical tanker, one 157,000 dwt Suezmax tanker, two 300,000 dwt VLCCs and, through a joint venture, 50% interests in two 50,000 dwt product tankers. The Company has entered into newbuilding contracts for eight 47,499 dwt MR newbuilding tankers scheduled for delivery from the second quarter of 2028 through the fourth quarter of 2029, one of which it has agreed to sell, and has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire three shipowning companies that have entered into newbuilding contracts for three high-specification 49,940 dwt MR newbuilding tankers scheduled for delivery in 2029, with closing expected to occur by September 30, 2026. In addition, the Company owns the megayacht M/Y Para Bellvm, which it has announced its intention to divest. The Company is incorporated under the laws of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and has executive offices in Athens, Greece. Its common shares trade on the NYSE American under the symbol “TOPS”.

Non-GAAP Measures

Strengthening Integration and Wellhead Connectivity in the Rockies

HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. (Nasdaq: PAA) and Plains GP Holdings (Nasdaq: PAGP) (collectively, “Plains”) announced today that a wholly owned subsidiary has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire SCM PR II, LLC (“Silver Creek”) from subsidiaries of Tailwater Capital and The Energy and Minerals Group for an aggregate cash consideration of approximately $585 million.

Silver Creek owns and operates one of the largest integrated crude oil gathering systems in the Powder River Basin, serving a diversified customer base that includes many of the basin’s leading producers. The system provides customers with access to Plains’ existing Rockies infrastructure through the Guernsey and Fort Laramie hubs.

The acquired assets include:

  • Approximately 600 miles of crude oil gathering and transmission pipelines
  • More than 350,000 barrels per day of operating capacity
  • Approximately 1.2 million barrels of operational storage capacity
  • 49% non-operated interest in the Powder River Gateway JV, including Iron Horse and Powder River Express

-

Transaction Highlights:

  • Expands Plains’ Powder River Basin footprint and increases direct connectivity to producer supply in an area supported by more than 20 years of remaining drilling locations at current activity levels, with continued production growth expected over the next several years
  • Enhances producer access to Plains’ integrated transportation network, including additional upstream gathering and transmission capabilities in the Powder River Basin and connectivity to Plains’ long-haul assets that deliver crude oil volumes to Cushing
  • Strengthens Plains’ Rockies franchise by adding a gathering system supported by a diversified portfolio of high-quality customers, 915,000 dedicated acres across long-term acreage dedications and minimum volume commitments, and a weighted-average contract tenor of more than eight years
  • Creates commercial and operational opportunities for growth with ~125,000 barrels per day of current throughput and an integrated platform that is expected to drive synergies and enhance Plains’ long-term earnings and cash flow

“Silver Creek represents a highly strategic addition to Plains’ Rockies platform,” said Willie Chiang, Chairman, CEO, and President of Plains. “The acquisition is in line with our internal rate of return thresholds of 300 to 500 basis points above our cost of capital and expands our footprint in the Powder River Basin, a region supported by substantial remaining drilling inventory and an attractive outlook for continued producer development over the coming years. We continue to identify opportunities to create long-term value for shareholders. The addition of Silver Creek’s gathering and transmission assets to Plains’ existing Rockies footprint will enhance producer access to Plains’ integrated transportation network and long-haul assets delivering to Cushing. This coupled with balance sheet optimization from our recently announced junior subordinated notes offering and retirement of our Series A and Series B preferred units creates optionality and momentum heading into 2027.”

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.

HOUSTON, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — PEDEVCO Corp. (NYSE American: PED) (“PEDEVCO” or the “Company”), a domestic energy company engaged in the acquisition and development of strategic oil and gas assets in the Rocky Mountain region, today announced that it was the high bidder on multiple tracts in the Bureau of Land Management (“BLM”) competitive lease sale held September 9-10, 2026, acquiring approximately 5,678 net acres in Wyoming for approximately $5.9 million, or $1,045 per net acre in the highly prospective Mowry formation in the Powder River Basin. The acquisition was funded through cash on hand.

Acquisition Highlights

  • Prime Location: Expands PEDEVCO’s presence in a highly prospective area of the Powder River Basin targeting the emerging Mowry play in this area.
  • Strategic Fit: Builds on the Company’s existing Mowry acreage, nearly doubling its position to approximately 12,000 net acres in this specific prospect area.
  • Favorable Lease Terms: Ten-year lease terms and a 12.5% royalty rate provide a long-term development window and allow the Company to retain 87.5% Net Revenue Interest.
  • Compelling Geological Characteristics: Targets the organic-rich, silica-rich Middle Mowry formation, which extends from nearby producing areas into PEDEVCO’s acreage.
  • Strong Regional Productivity: Nearby horizontal Mowry wells averaged approximately 1,400 Boe/d during their peak month of production, demonstrating the formation’s development potential in this area.

J. Douglas Schick, President and Chief Executive Officer of PEDEVCO, commented, “This BLM lease sale presented an opportunity to secure acreage that can play a defining role in PEDEVCO’s future. We are very pleased to have been the high bidder on these highly strategic BLM tracts, which directly offset a portion of our existing Mowry position and represent a natural and compelling extension of our core operating area in Wyoming. These leases were acquired at an attractive cost basis and, with a 10-year primary term, give us significant flexibility to develop them in a disciplined and value-accretive manner. We believe PEDEVCO is exceptionally well-positioned to build a scalable, high-return development program in the still developing Mowry play.”

“What excites us most is the significance this opportunity holds for a company of our size. The Mowry could potentially become a cornerstone of our portfolio, with successful development establishing a repeatable drilling program and a substantially larger production and cash flow base. Securing this position gives us greater scope to build a meaningful development program and participate in the value created as the play advances. The geological characteristics of these tracts are consistent with what we have observed across our existing acreage and reinforce our confidence in the Mowry’s long-term development potential. We look forward to continuing to execute on our growth strategy and creating value for our shareholders.”

DELAWARE, Ohio, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Greif, Inc. (NYSE: GEF, GEF.B), a global leader in performance packaging products and services, announced today it will exit the coated recycled paperboard (CRB) market with the closure of its Sweetwater paperboard mill in Austell, Georgia. The mill is expected to cease operations by the end of the calendar year.

The decision is part of Greif’s broader strategy to focus its resources on businesses and assets where the company has a leading market position and a clear path to long-term value creation. Approximately 90 colleagues will be affected by the closure. Greif will provide severance benefits, career transition resources, and other support to help affected colleagues navigate the transition.

“This is a difficult decision because of the impact on our colleagues, their families, and the surrounding community,” said President and CEO Ole Rosgaard. “Our Sweetwater team has worked hard to serve our customers and improve the performance of the mill. We are grateful for their commitment, professionalism, and many contributions to Greif.”

Sweetwater produces coated recycled paperboard (CRB), uncoated recycled paperboard (URB), and gypsum facing and backing paper grades. The mill’s operating configuration, limited integration within Greif’s network, and cost position have prevented it from establishing a sustainable competitive position. The closure will remove approximately 120,000 tons of annual production capacity. Greif is working directly with affected URB customers to support an orderly transition and continue serving them through the company’s broader North American URB mill network.

“We are making deliberate choices about where we compete and where we invest,” said Gaylord Benner, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Sustainable Fiber Solutions. “Closing Sweetwater will strengthen the overall performance of our mill network, while our investments in our URB network will direct capital toward assets that are well positioned to serve our customers and support profitable growth.”
