  • SYMPHONY receives ITEA’s highest excellence award for connected healthcare ecosystems
  • AI FORSchung is recognized for innovation in AI-powered fiber-optic sensing

Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced that two Philips-led public-private research collaborations have received ITEA Awards of Excellence 2026 for advancing AI-enabled innovation in healthcare.

SYMPHONY received the ITEA Award of Excellence for “Exceptional Excellence” for connecting healthcare data, clinical workflows and AI-supported decision tools through open, interoperable ecosystems. AI FORSchung received the ITEA Award of Excellence for Innovation for developing AI-driven methods to compress and analyze large volumes of fiber-optic sensing data. The awards were presented at the ITEA PO Days 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Connecting data and AI around clinical workflows
SYMPHONY developed a reusable, vendor-neutral reference architecture and demonstrated connected healthcare ecosystems across four clinical areas: prostate cancer, aortic aneurysm, atrial fibrillation and multiple sclerosis with clinical partners including Leiden University Medical Center, Amsterdam University Medical Center and Karolinska University Hospital.

Philips also developed technology within SYMPHONY to automatically segment and measure vascular structures in medical images, supporting the assessment and follow-up of aortic aneurysms. The resulting functionality has received FDA clearance and CE marking and is included in AV Vascular, a part of the Philips AV Cardiovascular Suite.

“Healthcare AI creates the greatest value when it can work with the information and clinical workflows that care teams already depend on,” said Sanjay Gandhi, Head of Medical Affairs & Clinical Partnerships at Philips. “SYMPHONY shows what becomes possible when healthcare providers, researchers and technology companies build around open standards and clinical pathways rather than isolated applications.”

This real-world implementation was demonstrated through many close collaborations including the one between Philips and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), where standards-based integration was the focus.

“Together with Philips, the LUMC demonstrated in SYMPHONY how vendor-neutral, standards-based integration of clinical data, imaging and applications, including the AV Vascular Segmentation solution, can support real clinical workflows,” said Jouke Dijkstra, Associate Professor, Vascular and Molecular Imaging at LUMC. The project created a reusable foundation for deploying innovative digital health solutions, also tailored towards AI algorithm integration, across institutions and disease areas.”

Making growing sensing datasets more manageable
Fiber Optic RealShape (FORS) technology is used to support medical device navigation during image-guided procedures, generating large volumes of position data that need to be stored and processed efficiently. Within AI FORSchung, researchers developed new methods to make these data volumes easier to manage, demonstrating that FORS position data could be compressed more than 20 times while maintaining performance within the evaluated datasets.

“The challenge extends well beyond healthcare,” said Ahmet Ekin, Senior Designer at Philips. “Fiber-optic sensing is also used to monitor critical infrastructure such as pipelines, bridges and tunnels, where continuous monitoring generates substantial volumes of data. By developing approaches that can be applied across healthcare, utilities and civil infrastructure, AI FORSchung demonstrated how advances in one field can help address shared data challenges in another.

Both projects were conducted within ITEA, the Eureka Research, Development and Innovation Cluster on software innovation, funded by multiple national authorities including the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

Six years after Seer’s foundational Nature Communications paper, researchers across three continents have built a growing body of evidence demonstrating the power of deep, unbiased proteomics across genetics, aging, disease biology and population health

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Seer, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEER), a pioneer in deep, unbiased proteomics, today announced that its Proteograph® Product Suite has been used by researchers in more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, enabling researchers to uncover differentiated proteomic insights and marking a significant milestone in the emergence of deep proteomics at scale as a new paradigm for biological research.

For decades, proteomics researchers faced a fundamental tradeoff: they could interrogate the proteome deeply or study large numbers of samples, but doing both was impractical. Seer was founded to eliminate that compromise. By combining engineered nanoparticles with mass spectrometry, the Proteograph Product Suite enables researchers to access deep, unbiased proteomic information across large studies with the throughput, reproducibility and economics required for population-scale research.

Six years after Seer first described the approach in a foundational Nature Communications publication, academic, government and industry researchers across three continents have now applied Proteograph technology in more than 100 peer-reviewed studies. The resulting body of work spans genetics, aging, disease biology, biomarker discovery and population health, including publications in Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Genetics, Nature Communications and Nature Aging.

Many of these studies draw on uniquely valuable cohorts assembled over years or decades and on biospecimens that cannot be replaced, making the ability to extract substantially more biological information from each sample especially important.

“We pioneered a technology that makes deep, unbiased proteomic analysis possible across large cohorts with the scale, speed, robustness and economics needed to unlock the vast biological information in the proteome—from fundamental discovery through translational research and, ultimately, clinical applications,” said Omid Farokhzad, M.D., Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Seer. “More than 100 peer-reviewed customer publications now demonstrate the impact of that advance, enabling researchers to uncover previously inaccessible biology, connect genetic variation to proteins and disease, and extract far more information from some of the world’s most valuable cohorts. We believe this capability will become even more important in the age of AI, because the next generation of biological models will require enormous quantities of deep, reproducible and information-rich human data. Seer is building the proteomic foundation to generate those datasets at a scale that was simply not possible before.”

Studies conducted with the Proteograph Product Suite include:

  • Revealing biology beyond the reach of leading affinity platforms: Claudia Langenberg, M.D., Ph.D., Maik Pietzner, Ph.D., and collaborators at Queen Mary University of London and the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité used the Proteograph Product Suite to profile more than 1,400 British South Asian participants in research published in Nature Genetics. The study identified more than 3,430 proteins not covered by two leading affinity-based platforms and more than 1,200 genetic associations with plasma proteins, over half of which had not previously been reported. By combining deep, unbiased proteomic coverage with population scale, the study demonstrated that the Proteograph can reveal substantial new biology that would otherwise remain inaccessible.
  • Bringing greater accuracy to the path from genetics to drug targets and biomarkers: Karsten Suhre, Ph.D., and collaborators from Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital and TruDiagnostic, used Proteograph in a Nature Genetics study to perform large-scale, peptide-level mass spectrometry proteomics across approximately 1,600 samples. Unlike affinity-based measurements, peptide-level mass spectrometry allowed the researchers to determine whether genetic associations reflected true changes in protein biology or changes in binder recognition caused by protein-altering variants. The study demonstrated how the Proteograph can provide the resolution needed to build more reliable links from genetic variation to proteins, disease mechanisms, drug targets and biomarkers.
  • Connecting fundamental aging biology to clinically relevant human phenotypes: Nathan Basisty, Ph.D., and colleagues used Proteograph to deeply characterize the proteins secreted by senescent human monocytes and then connect those signatures to plasma measurements from more than 1,000 participants in the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging. Published in Nature Aging, the study identified circulating senescence-associated proteins linked to multiple age- and obesity-related clinical traits, illustrating how the deep proteomics enabled by the Proteograph can translate cellular mechanisms of aging into measurable signals in humans and potentially inform biomarkers and therapeutic development.

The body of work builds on Seer’s 2020 Nature Communications paper, which demonstrated that proprietary engineered nanoparticles could enable deep, reproducible interrogation of the plasma proteome at scale without preselecting which proteins to measure.

Additional Proteograph-enabled research will be presented at the 2026 Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) World Congress, taking place September 27 to October 1 in Singapore.

Table 1: GenX™ continuous titanium production results

Seven of the eight angular powder samples collected met the Grade 5 oxygen limit applicable to Ti-6Al-4V plate and bar under ASTM B265 and B348. Four of the eight also met the more stringent Grade 23 oxygen limit. One sample collected during an interrupted furnace run did not complete the HAMR™ cycle and was excluded from the validation assessment. IperionX anticipates that minor process refinements will enable angular powder to meet the Grade 23 oxygen limit. All spherical titanium powder samples met the Grade 23 oxygen limit and therefore also satisfied the Grade 5 oxygen specifications.

GenX™ continuous processing – potential to materially shift the titanium cost curve

The patented HAMR™ process is IperionX’s hydrogen-enabled, low-temperature process for low-oxygen titanium powder, currently in operation on a batch basis in Virginia. GenX™ applies that process continuously, eliminating the repeated furnace heat-up, cool-down, loading and unloading time inherent in batch cycles. Measured GenX™ data has firmly established the potential to materially reduce the cost base for HAMR™ titanium production.

Operating measure Measured GenX result Comparison basis (batch HAMR)1
Magnesium consumption >45% lower Per kg
Hydrogen consumption >60% lower Per kg
Power consumption >75% lower Per kg
Processing time 6 times throughput Like-for-like run time

      1. Actual operating data based upon current batch HAMR operations

Table 2: GenX™ measured inputs and throughput compared to batch HAMR™

All comparisons are measured results against the batch HAMR™ reference; power use was measured directly on the GenX™ system. Magnesium is HAMR’s largest reagent cost, and lower use also reduces the by-product requiring downstream leaching and handling, which will be evaluated and quantified in further production campaigns.

Continuous GenX™ operation is expected to improve equipment utilization, eliminate ancillary process steps and support expansion through replicated and scaled-up production lines. Operational data highlights the potential for far lower installed capital per ton of annual capacity, and IperionX estimates significant potential labor cost savings.

Engineering the next stage

During Q4 2026, IperionX will continue to run and optimize the GenX™ furnace, integrate the current furnace into a full powder production line; and conduct technoeconomic and engineering evaluation for the first industrial-scale GenX™ production line. GenX™ remains a high capacity, low cost development platform but is not required to achieve low cost production for the existing 200 tpa production ramp or planned expansions in Virginia. Similar industrial scale furnace types in service are achieving throughputs measured in 1000s of tons per annum per unit.

GenX™ also complements continuous HSPT™ development, supporting a pathway from continuous titanium powder production to finished titanium components. U.S. Army Task Order 2, awarded on August 31, 2026 under IperionX’s US$99 million SBIR Phase III contract, funds a continuous HSPT™ development furnace and industrial-scale continuous HSPT™ and dehydrogenation capacity in Virginia.

IperionX CEO Taso Arima said:

“Achieving continuous primary titanium production has long been the ultimate aspiration for the titanium industry. IperionX’s GenX™ process is a continuous titanium production platform that is more efficient to operate and easier to scale. These first results exceeded our expectations: more than 500 kilograms of recycled titanium powder processed across four separate runs, with every sample meeting its relevant oxygen specification.

Substantially lower magnesium, hydrogen and power consumption at steady state, together with processing throughput increasing by six times, give us a strong basis for industrial development. Our next step is the engineering and economic evaluation of the first industrial-scale GenX™ production line. We aim to establish a scalable platform for expansion that lowers production costs and brings titanium within reach of a broader range of applications.”

SINGAPORE, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Delixy Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: DLXY) (the “Company” or “Delixy”), a Singapore-based company engaged in the trading of oil related products, today announced that on September 15, 2026, the Company entered into a non-binding letter of intent (the “LOI”) with Caog S.a.r.l, a Luxembourg registered company, for acquisition or merger of up to 48% of shares in Tarbagatay Munay (“TBM”), a Kazakhstan registered company and the subsoil user and operator of the oil and gas project of Sarybulak Oil Field in East Kazakhstan (the “Project”).

Pursuant to the proposed terms of the LOI, Delixy intends to evaluate two potential transaction schemes: (i) an acquisition of part or all of the equity of the Project operating company to obtain the operating right, profit right and development right of the Project; or (ii) an asset merger and restructuring involving the Project’s operational assets, pipeline facilities, mineral right reserves and production and operation business to realize integrated cooperative operation.

The Project is a gas and crude oil upstream exploitation and production company located approximately 90 kilometers from the China-Kazakhstan border, providing strategic access to one of the region’s key energy transportation corridors. The Project has maintained a stable and continuous supply of natural gas to China for more than thirteen years through a self-owned cross-border pipeline, delivering an aggregate of close to 4.0 billion cubic meters by the end of April 2026.

In addition to its established gas production operations, the Project has recently expanded into crude oil production, with commercial oil sales commencing in the first quarter of 2026. TBM currently has approximately 100 million metric tons of approved original oil in place (“OOIP”) recognized by the Kazakhstan Geological Committee. Ongoing geological exploration and resource evaluation activities have identified additional oil-bearing formations within the Project area, which are expected to further enhance the Project’s resource scale and asset value.

The Project’s crude production so far consists mainly of heavy naphthenic crude oil, which is a desirable feedstock for producing special naphthenic base oil used in lubricant applications, typically of higher value than conventional fuel products.1 Recent exploration in the Project area has also indicated several light oil-bearing structures, which are anticipated to facilitate the development of lighter crude oil and support production diversification.

The Project also possesses full oil export rights, providing flexibility to access international markets.

Mr. Dongjian Xie, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Delixy, commented, “The proposed transaction represents a significant step in Delixy’s strategy to expand beyond oil trading and strengthen our participation across the energy value chain. Through its privately owned cross-border pipeline, the Project can deliver its produced crude oil to China, Delixy’s main crude market, where we maintain a strong network of commercial relationships and influence over the crude end users. We believe this strategic alignment of the Project’s upstream assets with Delixy’s established marketing capabilities can enhance commercialization opportunities and support long-term value creation.

Mr. Xie continued, “The Project combines strong relationships with local government, long-established natural gas production, existing cross-border energy infrastructure, newly commenced crude oil production, and substantial resource potential within a strategically important region adjacent to the Chinese market. We believe this opportunity could enhance our supply chain integration, diversify our revenue streams, and create additional long-term value for our shareholders. We look forward to working closely with our prospective partner to advance this opportunity.”

Completion of the transaction is subject to, among other matters, the completion of due diligence, the negotiation of a definitive agreement providing for the transaction, satisfaction of the conditions negotiated therein and approval of the transaction by the Company’s board. In addition, any definitive transaction will be subject to, among other conditions, (i) receipt of all required Kazakhstan governmental, regulatory and subsoil-authority approvals, including any waiver of the State’s statutory priority or pre-emptive right over a transfer of the subsoil use right or a change of control of the subsoil user, and (ii) the consent of, and the waiver of any pre-emptive, right-of-first-refusal, tag-along or similar rights held by, the other shareholder(s) of TBM. Accordingly, there can be no assurance that a definitive agreement will be entered into or that the proposed transaction will be consummated.

Sold-out MAMAMOO Hong Kong concert supports Globavend’s horizontal expansion into live events; Southeast Asian live entertainment market projected to reach US$10 billion by 2034

PERTH, Australia, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — via IBN — Globavend Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: GVH) (“Globavend” or the “Company”), an emerging AI-powered digital entertainment company and e-commerce logistics provider, today announced the expansion of its digital entertainment platform into the live entertainment business through its subsidiary, Loomi Entertainment Group Limited (“Loomi”).

Loomi will organize the 2026 OK TAECYEON FANMEETING IN MACAU ‘TodaY’ on Nov. 14, 2026, at The Grand Hall, Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The event will mark K-pop star OK TAECYEON’s first solo fan meeting in Macau and Globavend’s first organizer-led live entertainment event outside Hong Kong.

The expansion builds on Globavend’s strategic investment and co-organizer role in the MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR <4WARD> Hong Kong, for which all tickets made available have sold out.

Globavend believes the sold-out MAMAMOO concert and the upcoming OK TAECYEON fan meeting demonstrate the potential to extend its existing digital entertainment operations horizontally into concerts, fan meetings and other live experiences.

Independent industry research estimates that the Southeast Asian live entertainment market was valued at approximately US$5.97 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach approximately US$10 billion by 2034, representing a compound annual growth rate of approximately 5.87% from 2026 to 2034. Music concerts were the market’s largest event segment in 2025.

Expanding from Digital Content to Live Entertainment

Through Loomi, Globavend has established digital entertainment capabilities spanning intellectual-property development, AI-assisted content production, multilingual content distribution and mobile streaming.

The Company’s expansion into live entertainment adds a new complementary business vertical covering event investment, organization and promotion. Globavend expects the expansion to increase its participation across the entertainment value chain and create potential revenue opportunities from ticket sales, sponsorships, merchandising, artist collaborations, content rights and intellectual-property commercialization.

“Our expansion into live entertainment is a natural extension of Globavend’s digital entertainment strategy,” said Kenny K. M. Fung, Chairman of Globavend. “We are moving beyond the creation and distribution of digital content to participate directly in live experiences that connect artists with audiences.”

“The sold-out MAMAMOO Hong Kong concert provides encouraging validation of regional demand for premium Asian entertainment,” Fung continued. “By organizing OK TAECYEON’s first solo fan meeting in Macau, we are advancing from strategic investment and co-organization to direct event organization, further broadening our operating capabilities and commercial participation.”

Globavend believes its digital and live entertainment businesses can generate complementary opportunities. Digital content and distribution channels may support artist promotion, localized marketing and audience development, while live events may generate new content, commercial partnerships and longer-term fan engagement across digital platforms.

Building on Sold-Out MAMAMOO Ticket Sales

Globavend entered the live entertainment sector through Loomi’s strategic investment in the MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR <4WARD> Hong Kong. Loomi serves as an official co-organizer of the concert and is entitled to a pro rata share of its economic returns based on its capital contribution.

All tickets made available for the MAMAMOO Hong Kong concert have sold out. The concert is scheduled for Oct. 4, 2026, at Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong.

The ticket sell-out represents an important commercial milestone for Globavend’s entertainment strategy and strengthens Loomi’s relationships with artists, talent agencies, promoters, venues, sponsors and other entertainment-industry partners.

With the OK TAECYEON fan meeting, Loomi is expanding its role from investor and co-organizer to organizer. This progression is expected to give the Company broader exposure to the commercial and operational components of live entertainment.

Macau Establishes First Organizer-Led Regional Footprint

Macau will become Globavend’s first organizer-led live entertainment footprint outside Hong Kong and the initial step in its planned expansion across Greater China and Southeast Asia.

The Company believes Macau’s tourism infrastructure, integrated resorts, international visitor base and proximity to major population centers in the Greater Bay Area make it an attractive market for concerts, fan meetings and premium entertainment experiences.

Globavend intends to use the Macau event to strengthen its event-management capabilities and regional network of artists, talent agencies, promoters, venues, sponsors and ticketing partners. The Company plans to evaluate further opportunities across Southeast Asia based on audience demand, artist appeal, venue infrastructure, local partnerships, regulatory requirements and anticipated commercial returns.

“Macau provides a strategic first footprint for the regional expansion of our live entertainment business,” Fung said. “Our objective is to develop a scalable platform capable of organizing, investing in and commercializing premium entertainment experiences across Greater China, Southeast Asia and other selected Asian markets.”

Targeting a US$5.97 Billion Addressable Market

Independent industry research valued the Southeast Asian live entertainment market at approximately US$5.97 billion in 2025 and projects that it will grow to approximately US$10 billion by 2034.

Globavend believes this addressable market is supported by rising disposable incomes, expanding venue infrastructure, increased spending on experiences, a young and digitally engaged population and growing international demand for Asian music, television and film talent.

The Company’s potential addressable opportunities extend beyond event ticket sales to sponsorships, merchandise, artist partnerships, content production, intellectual-property rights and technology-enabled fan engagement.

Globavend currently operates Loomi: Short Drama, a mobile streaming platform offering professionally produced multilingual micro dramas, and Imaginary, its proprietary AI-powered cinematic production platform. The Company intends to explore opportunities to apply these capabilities to the live entertainment business through promotional content, localized audience engagement, post-event media and digital commercialization.

“Our strategy is to build an integrated entertainment ecosystem spanning digital content, proprietary technology, distribution and live experiences,” Fung concluded. “We believe this horizontal expansion gives Globavend access to a broader addressable market and multiple potential revenue channels across the entertainment value chain.”
