Five-Year Software Licensing and Support Renewal Expands Long-Standing Partnership

CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Computer Modelling Group Ltd. (“CMG” or the “Company”) (TSX: CMG) today announced that it has entered into a five-year software licensing and software support agreement with Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (“Petrobras”), Brazil’s largest oil and gas producer. The agreement renews and expands a prior agreement covering CMG’s reservoir and production simulation software.

Key Points:

  • Five-year agreement. CMG and Petrobras have entered into a five-year agreement for reservoir and production simulation software licensing and support, renewing and expanding the companies’ previous agreement.
  • A 40-year partnership. CMG and Petrobras have worked together since the 1980s and marked 40 years of partnership in 2026, making Petrobras one of CMG’s longest-standing customers.

Proposed listing aims to broaden investor access and expand future financing options

RENO, Nev., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Globaltech Corporation (OTCQB: GLTK) (“Globaltech” or the “Company”), a technology platform company building and commercializing AI, data and software solutions through its revenue-generating operating businesses, today provided an update on its planned Nasdaq Capital Market uplisting, including its listing application, completed reverse stock split and governance preparations.

Globaltech’s application to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Capital Market remains under review by Nasdaq. The Company has not received approval for the listing and does not currently meet Nasdaq’s uplisting requirements.

Management believes a Nasdaq listing could broaden Globaltech’s shareholder base, increase its visibility among institutional and retail investors, and improve trading liquidity over time. Access to a larger investor base could also expand future financing options to support commercialization of the Company’s AI, data and software platforms.

“We are pursuing a Nasdaq uplisting to attempt to expand the investor audience and financing opportunities available to Globaltech as we work to build and commercialize our technology platforms,” said Dan Green, Chief Executive Officer. “Our immediate focus is completing the listing preparations, meeting the uplisting requirements, and working through Nasdaq’s review, while strengthening the governance and reporting framework that we expect will support our next stage of development.”

Management continues to work through Nasdaq’s review and remains hopeful of completing the uplisting in the fourth quarter of 2026. Completion remains subject to Nasdaq approval, satisfaction of all applicable initial listing standards, market conditions, financing requirements and other customary conditions, however, there can be no assurance regarding the timing or completion of the uplisting.

As part of its preparations for the planned uplisting, the Company completed its previously announced 1-for-3 reverse stock split, effective August 27, 2026. The reverse split was intended to support the Company’s efforts to satisfy Nasdaq’s minimum share-price requirements; it does not by itself establish compliance with all listing standards.

The Company’s common stock continues to trade on the OTCQB Market while the Nasdaq application is under review. Following the reverse split, the stock is temporarily trading under the symbol “GLTKD” for 20 trading days through September 24, 2026, and is expected to revert to the symbol “GLTK” on September 25, 2026. The Company intends to retain “GLTK” upon a Nasdaq listing, subject to availability and applicable exchange requirements.

Globaltech is also strengthening its corporate governance, disclosure and internal controls in preparation for a potential Nasdaq listing. The Board has approved the formation of three committees: Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Corporate Governance. Implementation is underway. These initiatives are intended to strengthen oversight, accountability and financial reporting as the Company prepares for the responsibilities of a Nasdaq-listed company.

If Nasdaq approves the application, the Company will announce the anticipated trading commencement date and related shareholder information in a Current Report on Form 8-K submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and an accompanying press release.

Shareholders and other interested investors can sign up to receive future press releases, including any Nasdaq listing announcement, by visiting www.globaltechcorporation.com/investor and selecting “Join Our Mailing List.”

MONTREAL, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Troilus Mining Corp. (“Troilus” or the “Company”) (TSX: TLG; OTCQX: CHXMF; FSE: CM5), is pleased to announce the fourth batch of results from the Z87 optimization drill program at its Troilus Gold-Copper Project located in north-central Quebec, Canada. The results reported include nine drill holes totaling 4,728 metres, and form part of the 2026 exploration program outlined in the Company’s March 31, 2026 press release.

The ongoing Z87 optimization program is is targeting Inferred material and historically unsampled intervals within and around the current Z87 Reserve pit, with the objective of identifying opportunities to improve the mine plan presented in the Company’s Technical Report on September 9th, 2026.

Importantly, the current Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates have an effective date of December 31, 2025, and therefore exclude all drilling completed in 2026. The results reported today continue to demonstrate mineralization in areas currently classified as Inferred or, in some cases, treated as waste in the existing block model, creating potential opportunities for resource conversion, pit and mining sequence optimization, strip ratio improvements and enhanced early-year mill feed.

Z87 Intercept Highlights:

  • Hole 87-26-485 intersected 0.95 g/t gold equivalent (“AuEq”) (0.80 g/t Au, 1.11 g/t Ag, 0.10% Cu) over 129.05 m, including 3.38 g/t AuEq (2.97g/t Au, 1.80 g/t Ag, 0.29 % Cu) over 22 m starting at 398 m downhole from an area of inferred material within the Z87 reserve pit (see Figures 1 and 2).
  • Hole 87-26-531 intersected 0.99 g/t gold equivalent (“AuEq”) (0.84 g/t Au, 1.20 g/t Ag, 0.10 % Cu) over 74.3 m, including 3.15 g/t AuEq (2.73 g/t Au, 1.88 g/t Ag, 0.30 % Cu) over 3.3m starting at 468 m downhole from an area of inferred material within the Z87 reserve pit (see Figures 1 and 2).
  • Hole 87-26-529 intersected 1.15 g/t gold equivalent (“AuEq”) (1.00 g/t Au, 0.84 g/t Ag, 0.11 % Cu) over 45 m, including 5.42 g/t AuEq (4.73 g/t Au, 5.45 g/t Ag, 0.46 % Cu) over 2 m starting at 579 m from an area of inferred material 70 m below the Z87 reserve pit(see Figures 1 and 3).
  • Hole 87-26-515 intersected several intervals of mineralization in the historically unsampled Z87 hangingwall where the current resource model does not contain mineralized blocks (see Figure 3 and Table 1).

Justin Reid, CEO of Troilus, commented, “None of our 2026 drilling is included in the latest Resource and Reserve estimates, and we continue to see impactful drill results from within and around the Z87 Reserve pit. We are targeting Inferred material and historically unsampled intervals, and the drilling is showing more extensive mineralization than is currently represented in the resource model. The results indicate mineralization in an area that is currently modeled as waste. Subject to further drilling, geological modelling, engineering evaluation and incorporation into future mine-plan updates, the mineralization may have the potential to reduce waste movement and improve strip ratios in this portion of the deposit.”.”

Z87 Optimization Program

Z87 was one of two zones previously mined by open pit during the former Troilus operation. Many of the historical drill holes used to define the former mine reserve were not continuously sampled, leaving intervals of core – in some cases extending for several hundred metres – without assay data.

For the purposes of resource estimation, these unsampled intervals are assigned values equal to one-half of the laboratory detection limit, resulting in significant gaps within the current block model. The 2026 optimization program is systematically testing these areas to determine whether mineralization extends through historically unsampled intervals that are presently modelled as waste.

The program is also targeting Inferred material within and around the current Z87 Reserve pit, with the objective of collecting data to support potential conversion to the Indicated category and consideration for possible incorporation into future Mineral Reserve and mine-plan updates.

The results announced today build on earlier 2026 drilling at Z87 that has demonstrated mineralization beyond and within the current Reserve pit, including broad intervals encountered in historically unsampled areas of the hangingwall (see press releases dated August 20, 2026, July 7, 2026 and June 25, 2026.)

All grades are uncut, and true thicknesses are approximately 75% to 90% of drilled length.

Z87 Drilling

Dillholes 87-26-485 was drilled to target inferred material within the Z87 reserve pit (see Figures 1 and 2). The main zone returned 129.05 metres grading 0.95 g/t AuEq including 3.38 g/t AuEq over 22 metres, which includes 4.34 g/t AuEq over 12.47 metres. This area of the reserve pit contains inferred blocks that are not incorporated into the current mine plan. This drilling was planned with the goal of upgrading the resource to the Indicated category for consideration in future production schedules.

On the same section, 120 metres down dip, drillhole 87-26-531 returned 125.5 metres grading 0.74 g/t AuEq, including 74.3 metres grading 0.99 g/t AuEq from the main zone of Z87, where it was targeting Inferred material. The hangingwall returned 20 metres grading 0.31 g/t AuEq and 41.4 metres grading 0.28 g/t AuEq where the current block model does not contain mineralization, as this area is informed by historically unsampled drillholes.

On a section 50m south of 87-26-485 and 87-26 531 (Figure 1), drillhole 87-26-529 returned 1.15 g/t AuEq over 45 metres within a broader zone of 0.51 g/t AuEq over 154 metres from the main zone of Z87 approximately 70 metres below the reserve pit (see Figure 3). This hole also returned 73 metres grading 0.35 g/t AuEq including 0.72 g/t AuEq over 13 metres from the Z87 hangingwall and 0.53 g/t AuEq over 40 metres including 1.54 g/t AuEq over 8 metres from the footwall. These intercepts present significantly broader mineralization than is currently in the resource model.

87-26-515 was drilled to target an area of historically unsampled material approximately 50 metres up dip of hole 87-26-529. This hole returned several intervals of mineralization where the current resource is unmineralized due to the impacts of historically unsampled intervals being assigned half the lab analysis detection limit for the purpose of resource estimation. These intercepts include 0.80 g/t AuEq over 8 metres including 1.48 g/t AuEq over 3 metres, 0.61 g/t AuEq over 12 metres including 1.52 g/t AuEq over 3.5 metres, 1.15 g/t AuEq over 7 metres including 5.04 g/t AuEq over 1 metres and 93 metres grading 0.46 g/t AuEq, which including intercepts of 1.07 g/t AuEq over 10 metres and 1.06 g/t AuEq over 10 metres.

To date, Troilus has released 39 drillholes totaling 14,521 metres of the approximately 24,000 metres allocated to the Z87 pit optimization program, which includes the targeting of Inferred and unsampled material within and around the reserve pit shell.

Quality Assurance and Control

During the drill program, one meter assay samples were taken from NQ core and sawed in half. One-half was sent for assaying at ALS Laboratory in Sudbury Ontario, a certified independent commercial laboratory, and the other half was retained for results, cross checks, and future reference. A strict QA/QC program was applied to all samples; which included insertion of one certified mineralized standard and one blank sample in each batch of 25 samples. Every sample was processed with standard crushing to 85% passing 75 microns on 500 g splits. Samples were assayed by one-AT (30 g) fire assay with an AA finish and if results were higher than 3.5 g/t Au, assays were redone with a gravimetric finish. For QA/QC samples, a 50 g fire assay was done. In addition to gold, ALS laboratory carried out multi-element analysis for ME-ICP61 analysis of 33 elements four acid ICP-AES.

TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — NexGold Mining Corp. (TSXV: NEXG; OTCQX: NXGCF) (“NexGold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has commenced site preparation and early works construction activities at the Goldboro Gold Project (“Goldboro” or the “Project”) in Nova Scotia.

These activities are intended to de-risk the potential commencement of full-scale construction, which, if approved by the Company’s Board of Directors, is currently targeted to commence in Q1 2027. The Board’s final construction decision is currently anticipated to be considered during Q4 2026.

Site preparation and early works construction activities are primarily focused on establishing environmental controls and ensuring traditional community recreational access to areas during the planned period of construction following the final construction decision.

Activities include:

  • Construction of elements of a public-access bypass road such as installation of culverts at water crossings;
  • Installation of critical sediment and erosion control infrastructure;
  • Tree clearing for the Employee Accommodations Facility pad, till and organics stockpiles, sedimentation ponds and the construction management facilities area; and
  • Mobilization of site services contractors to support site construction activities.

NexGold has engaged the Mi’kma’ki-Municipal Limited Partnership in the execution of the site preparation and early works construction activities. The Mi’kma’ki-Municipal Limited Partnership is a majority Indigenous-owned partnership between Municipal Enterprises Limited (a subsidiary within the Municipal Group of Companies, and an affiliate of Dexter Construction Company Limited) and the 13 Mi’kmaw First Nations communities of Nova Scotia, represented by Wskijnu’k Mtmo’taqnuow Agency Limited.

Kevin Bullock, President, CEO & Director of NexGold, commented: “Commencing early works construction activities at Goldboro is a significant milestone for the Project and reflects the culmination of years of planning and development. We are also proud of our work with the Mi’kma’ki-Municipal Limited Partnership, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to sustainable development, collaboration with the Mi’kmaq people of Nova Scotia, and investment in local communities.

“While key mine planning, engineering, procurement, community engagement, and recruitment activities remain ongoing, we are now prudently deploying capital toward activities designed to further de-risk Goldboro ahead of a potential construction decision.

“In parallel with these early works, we are finalizing the updated Feasibility Study to support a potential construction decision, both of which we are currently anticipating in the fourth quarter of 2026. We are also continuing to advance critical detailed engineering activities to support early construction contracts, procurement of long-lead equipment and various project execution planning initiatives.”

Construction and commissioning of Goldboro are expected to take approximately 26 months, leading to an operation with an 11-year open pit life of mine and average gold production of approximately 100,000 ounces per year. The Project is also expected to generate significant economic benefits for the region, including the creation of more than 300 on-site construction jobs, over 200 full-time on-site operational positions and more than 500 spin-off jobs annually during operations. The foregoing mine life, production and employment estimates are derived from the Company’s NI 43-101 Technical Report and Feasibility Study for the Project dated January 11, 2022 and are based on Mineral Reserves disclosed therein. Such estimates may be revised as a result of the updated Feasibility Study currently being finalized by the Company.

  • U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Reports a Significant Year-Over-Year Increase in Nationwide Rabies Exposures and Rabies Immunoglobulin Utilization
  • KedRAB is One of Only Two FDA-Approved Anti-Rabies Immunoglobulin Products in the U.S. Market Estimated at $200 Million Annually
  • Kamada’s Manufacturing Capacity and Supply Availability Positioned to Support Increased Demand

REHOVOT, Israel, and HOBOKEN, N.J., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kamada Ltd. (NASDAQ: KMDA; TASE: KMDA.TA) (the “Company”), a global biopharmaceutical company with a portfolio of marketed products indicated for rare and serious conditions and a leader in the specialty plasma-derived therapies field, today confirmed that it maintains sufficient KedRAB® supply and manufacturing capacity to meet increased demand for the product in the United States. The confirmation follows a Health Advisory published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on September 10, 2026, reporting a significant nationwide year-over-year increase in human rabies exposures and the use of rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). The CDC Health Advisory is available at:
https://www.cdc.gov/han/php/notices/han00533.html.

In light of this increase in end-user utilization described in the CDC advisory, Kamada confirms it has the inventory and manufacturing capacity to support the continued supply of KedRAB, a human rabies immune globulin developed and manufactured by Kamada, which is one of only two FDA-approved anti-rabies immunoglobulin products indicated for PEP treatment in the U.S. The product is supplied to the U.S. market via the Company’s U.S. commercialization partner, Kedrion Biopharma Inc.

“Kamada is a global leader in human rabies prevention using immunoglobulin and we remain committed to delivering reliable, uninterrupted supply of KedRAB to meet the needs of patients and clinicians across the United States,” said Amir London, Chief Executive Officer of Kamada. “Our long-standing successful partnership with Kedrion, together with our vertically integrated supply chain, and the recent FDA approval of our in-house rabies testing lab, position us to respond to this year-over-year increase in demand while maintaining the consistency and quality that this lifesaving therapeutic requires.”

Rabies is a deadly viral disease that attacks the brain and nervous system of mammals, including humans. The CDC estimates that approximately 1.4 million people in the United States seek medical care for a possible rabies exposure each year, of whom approximately 100,000 receive PEP treatment. Kamada estimates the total U.S. market for rabies immunoglobulin products at approximately $200 million annually.

INDICATION AND SELECTED IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
INDICATION: KEDRAB is a human rabies immune globulin (HRIG) indicated for passive, transient post-exposure prophylaxis of rabies infection to persons of all ages when given immediately after contact with a rabid or possibly rabid animal. KEDRAB should be administered concurrently with a full course of rabies vaccine.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION ABOUT KedRAB: Severe hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, may occur with KedRAB. IgA deficient patients with antibodies against IgA are at greater risk. Have epinephrine available immediately to treat any acute severe hypersensitivity reactions. KedRAB administration may interfere with the development of an immune response to live attenuated virus vaccines. If feasible, delay immunization with the measles vaccine for 4 months, and other live attenuated virus vaccines for three months, after KedRAB administration. A transient rise of the various passively transferred antibodies in the patient’s blood may result in misleading positive results of serologic tests after KedRAB administration. Passive transmission of antibodies to erythrocyte antigens, e.g., A, B, and D, may interfere with serologic tests for red cell antibodies such as the antiglobulin test (Coombs’ test). KedRAB is made from human plasma donors and may carry a risk of transmitting infectious agents, e.g., viruses, the variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) agent and, theoretically, the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) agent.

To report SUSPECTED ADVERSE REACTIONS, contact Kedrion Biopharma Inc. at 1-855-353-7466 or the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or www.fda.gov/medwatch. I.D. Code: KAM.001-26

Latest publication adds to growing body of clinical evidence supporting hybrid IVUS-OCT imaging in complex coronary procedures

Chief Technology Officer Amandeep Thind to lead continued innovation

TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Conavi Medical Corp. (TSXV: CNVI) (OTCQB: CNVIF) (“Conavi” or the “Company”), a commercial-stage medical device company focused on designing, manufacturing and marketing imaging technologies to guide minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, today announced the publication of a peer-reviewed case report highlighting the clinical utility of hybrid intravascular ultrasound (“IVUS”) and optical coherence tomography (“OCT”) imaging in guiding treatment decisions following stent placement. The case report, titled “Detection of Post-Stent Medial Dissection and White Thrombus Using Hybrid IVUS OCT Imaging may Help Guide Management,” was published in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. The report was authored by Megha Prasad, M.D., M.S., of Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, together with Khady N. Fall, M.D., Jeffrey W. Moses, M.D., and Natali Sorajja, M.S.

“Hybrid IVUS-OCT imaging provided complementary information that was important in assessing the post-stent findings in this case,” said Dr. Jeffrey Moses, author and Chairman of Cardiology at Good Samaritan University Hospital. “The ostial location necessitated IVUS for initial imaging. OCT was then essential in evaluating the dissections after stent placement. The distal medial edge dissection was easily visualized on OCT but less easily discernable on IVUS. IVUS alone may have failed to demonstrate the dissection, which required timely management. Having both modalities available helped guide management and apply treatment guidelines, including the decision to place an additional distal stent while managing the proximal dissection medically.”

The report describes the treatment of a 66-year-old patient undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (“PCI”) of the right coronary artery. Following stent placement, the clinical team used Conavi’s hybrid IVUS-OCT imaging to identify proximal and distal edge dissections, as well as white thrombus. IVUS was used for vessel sizing and plaque assessment, while OCT’s higher resolution helped characterize the extent and depth of the dissections. IVUS also helped confirm an irregular protrusion seen on OCT as white thrombus rather than a calcified nodule. The authors noted that without identification of the thrombus, in-stent thrombosis could have led to further vessel occlusion and a potentially catastrophic event. The authors noted that this combined evaluation may be important in helping prevent acute vessel closure, major adverse cardiovascular events and target revascularization.

The latest publication is available at:
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ccd.70821

“This case provides a very clear example of why combining IVUS and OCT can matter clinically,” said Thomas Looby, President and Chief Executive Officer of Conavi Medical. “The two modalities provided complementary information that helped physicians identify and assess post-stent complications and determine when an additional stent was warranted and when medical management was appropriate. Together with other recent case reports, this publication adds to the clinical evidence supporting the potential value of hybrid imaging in complex coronary procedures.”

The publication follows other previously published case reports highlighting the use of Conavi’s hybrid IVUS-OCT technology in complex coronary interventions. In July 2026, a Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (“JSCAI”) case report highlighted the use of hybrid imaging in the contrast-sparing management of eruptive calcified nodules in a patient with impaired renal function. In July 2025, another JSCAI case report highlighted the use of hybrid imaging to identify plaque rupture and guide ostial stent placement in a complex coronary procedure. Together, these publications add to a growing body of clinical evidence highlighting the potential utility of hybrid IVUS-OCT imaging across a range of complex coronary procedures.

Innovation Leadership Update
Amandeep Thind, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, will assume leadership of Conavi’s research and development efforts. A co-inventor of the Company’s hybrid IVUS-OCT technology, Mr. Thind brings deep technical expertise and continuity as Conavi advances commercialization following the system’s recent FDA clearance.

Sumeet Dham, Vice President of Research and Development, will be departing the Company. Conavi thanks Mr. Dham for his years of leadership and valuable contributions to its technology and key development milestones, and wishes him continued success.

New global research finds infrastructure constraints have surged more than fourfold since 2024 as enterprises race to operationalize AI

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR), the world’s largest cloud- and carrier-neutral data center platform, today released findings from its 2026 Global Data Insights Survey (GDIS), which indicate that enterprises are increasingly facing infrastructure and governance challenges as they accelerate AI investment and deployment.

The research, based on responses from 2,131 IT decision-makers across 19 countries, found that 40% of IT decision-makers now identify lack of specialized infrastructure as the primary constraint on AI initiatives, a more than fourfold increase from just 9% in 2024. The figures underscore how rapidly enterprise priorities have shifted from AI strategy to AI execution. At the same time, enterprises are accelerating investment in AI and increasingly focusing on how to operationalize it at scale while balancing performance, governance, data sovereignty and cost control.

Respondents expect AI spending to increase by 32% over the next year and 79% expect to deploy AI initiatives in 2026. This comes as 3% of respondents report seeing no measurable return on investment (ROI) on investment from their AI initiatives and nearly two thirds (63%) expect to see returns within the next six months to two years.

98% percent of respondents expect to be running real-time AI applications within the next 12 months, which is expected to increase demand for low-latency connectivity and resilient infrastructure. As organizations move data and compute closer to business operations, 88% have adopted a distributed data strategy and 92% now tie data location decisions directly to AI plans, up from 73% in 2024. This reflects growing recognition that AI performance, governance and cost efficiency may depend increasingly on where data and infrastructure reside.

The survey also shows that concerns around data control and compliance are reshaping AI strategies globally. The majority (86%) of respondents say their organizations are pursuing sovereign AI initiatives, reflecting growing demand for greater control over where data and AI workloads reside. At the same time, more than 50% of respondents say their organizations now host AI workloads in private cloud environments, highlighting the growing importance of private AI architectures designed to support stronger governance, security and operational control.

“As organizations move decisively from strategy to execution, one factor emerges above all others as the determinant of success: infrastructure. Legacy data centers, built for a different era, cannot on their own meet emerging requirements for performance, compliance, scale, and security. The infrastructure beneath AI is now the gatekeeper between promise and payoff, and organizations that recognize this will be the ones who lead,” said Colin McLean, Chief Revenue Officer at Digital Realty.

PARIS and NEW YORK and WHEAT RIDGE, Colo., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — USA Rare Earth (Nasdaq: USAR), a rare earth, critical minerals and advanced materials company, Pasqal (Nasdaq: PSQL), a global leader in neutral-atom quantum computing and Riven Systems, a specialist in AI for industrial chemistry, today announced a strategic partnership to develop next-generation separation technology for the rare earth value chain. Using quantum machine learning, the project aims to identify new separation molecules that bind more effectively to rare earths than existing alternatives, enabling smaller, lower-cost, less energy-intensive processing facilities.

The collaboration brings together U.S. and French expertise in two strategically important sectors: critical minerals and quantum computing. Together, the companies aim to explore technologies that could help support a more secure, efficient and competitive Western rare earth supply chain.

The partnership brings together Riven’s self-driving minerals separation laboratory and Pasqal’s quantum computing power with USA Rare Earth’s rare earth processing expertise. Under the planned project, Riven would conduct thousands of automated experiments and generate the training data needed to build machine learning models of extractant selectivity for rare earth elements. Pasqal’s Neutral Atom QPU would then benchmark quantum machine learning models against classical computing-based models (each trained on data from the self-driving lab) to support USA Rare Earth in optimizing extractant selection.

“The key challenge the rare earth industry outside Asia faces is to separate the Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate (MREC) produced in upstream operations into individual, separated oxides. The Chinese dominate this capability, especially for vital heavy rare earths such as dysprosium, terbium and yttrium. Our goal is to accelerate the path to efficient, competitive and sustainable solutions by changing how the rare earth industry discovers the chemistry it runs on, replacing years of trial-and-error,” remarked Alex Moyes, Senior Vice President of Upstream (USA), USA Rare Earth. “This strategic partnership will institute an innovative discovery pipeline where new extractant molecules are identified and tested virtually, powered by a quantum machine learning model trained on real chemical data from an autonomous lab. Rapid discovery of an extractant built and optimized for USA Rare Earth’s flowsheets could improve our capital and operating efficiency by reducing stage count, equipment needs and raw material consumption, while lowering the carbon footprint and environmental impact of our facilities. Breakthroughs like these are what could help make a Western rare earth value chain possible and accelerate our journey to being competitive on the world stage.”

Pasqal and Riven will tailor their work to USA Rare Earth’s feedstocks, expected to include the Round Top mine in Sierra Blanca, Texas, as well as third-party mixed rare earth carbonates (MREC) and recycled cuttings (known as swarf) from the magnet manufacturing process. Targeting these key feedstocks means the experimental work can potentially impact all aspects of USA Rare Earth’s materials processing work.

“This partnership brings together three companies working at the forefront of technologies that are increasingly important to economic growth, industrial competitiveness and national resilience,” said Wasiq Bokhari, Chief Executive Officer of Pasqal. “Rare earth materials are essential and improving how they are processed has implications far beyond a single industry. By combining Pasqal’s quantum computing capabilities with USA Rare Earth’s materials expertise and Riven’s advanced automation platform, we have an opportunity to accelerate innovation while demonstrating how French and American companies can work together to strengthen critical supply chains.”

USA Rare Earth, Pasqal, and Riven believe this initial machine learning project could create opportunities for a deeper, extended collaboration. Over time, the companies envision a first-of-a-kind, end-to-end extractant discovery process: a quantum machine learning model identifies high-potential extractants, those extractants are tested in Riven’s self-driving lab, and top candidates are validated in USA Rare Earth’s R&D facility in Wheat Ridge, Colorado before being integrated in USA Rare Earth’s flowsheets.

“AI and autonomous labs are the next frontier in critical mineral processing,” said Dr. Orion Archer Cohen, CTO and co-founder of Riven Systems. “We applaud USA Rare Earth’s proactive adoption of these technologies, which forge a path to significant improvements over legacy chemistry. This is exactly how the West can leverage its lead in advanced compute technologies to reindustrialize faster.”
