500 Patients, 30 Hospitals, 3 Countries is Part of the Setup

DENVER, Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — (247MarketNews.com) — In a market where the latest whizbang trends often dominate investor attention, NeOnc Technologies Holdings (NASDAQ:NTHI) is pursuing something considerably more meaningful: advancing potential treatments for some of the most difficult-to-treat brain cancers while building a clinical development program that could eventually reach hundreds of patients internationally.

Now, the company is putting some impressive numbers behind that ambition.

During its appearance on Health Uncensored with Dr. Drew on Fox Business Network, NeOnc outlined plans for a pivotal clinical trial targeting approximately 500 patients across 30 hospitals in three countries. The proposed expansion represents a substantial step forward for a company seeking to address one of oncology’s most persistent challenges: getting potential treatments where they need to go inside the human brain.

For the market, the story brings together several potentially important ingredients: an innovative drug-delivery approach, encouraging but preliminary clinical observations, two investigational drug programs, international development ambitions, and a potentially intriguing stock-market setup involving substantial short interest.

The science is the foundation, the patients are the reason, and the possibility that Wall Street could eventually take notice adds another dimension to the story.

A 500-Patient Ambition That Changes the Conversation

A proposed clinical trial involving approximately 500 patients across 30 hospitals in three countries is not a small undertaking.

It represents a planned expansion of NeOnc’s clinical ambitions and an opportunity to investigate its treatment approach in a much larger patient population, as the scale of the proposal signals where management wants to take the program.

At the center of that effort is NEO100, NeOnc’s investigational treatment being evaluated for its potential role in brain cancer.

The challenge it seeks to address is formidable. The blood-brain barrier serves as the brain’s natural protective defense system, but that protection also creates a major obstacle for drug developers. Many potential therapies struggle to reach tumors in sufficient concentrations because of this biological barrier.

NeOnc is investigating a different approach.

Its NEO100 program uses intranasal administration, designed to deliver therapy through the nasal pathway toward the brain while bypassing the blood-brain barrier.

In other words, the company isn’t simply investigating what treatment might work. It is also investigating how to get that treatment where it needs to go.

That distinction could be important in a field where drug delivery remains one of the biggest obstacles to therapeutic progress.

Early Clinical Observations Give the Story a Foundation

The proposed international expansion comes against the backdrop of earlier clinical observations that have attracted attention.

In its December 2025 clinical update, NeOnc described significant radiographic remission in six of 25 patients across its combined clinical and compassionate-use experience, representing approximately 24%.

For a company pursuing treatments for difficult brain cancers, that is an encouraging observation worth following.

The company’s appearance on Dr. Drew’s program also brought the patient experience into the conversation.

One patient described reaching two years on therapy and reported tolerating treatment without reactions. During the discussion, when Dr. Drew asked about the tumor’s status, physician Dr. Wallace responded, “We can’t see it, actually, at this moment.”

It was a striking moment, illustrating why continued research in this field matters.

For families facing aggressive brain cancer, the objective isn’t simply another clinical milestone or a better number on a presentation slide. It is more time together. Another birthday. Another anniversary. Another opportunity to experience everyday life.

Those individual experiences cannot establish clinical efficacy, but they help explain the enormous human stakes behind NeOnc’s research.

More Than One Drug: A Broader Development and Technology Story

NEO100 isn’t the only component of NeOnc’s development strategy.

The company is also advancing NEO212, which completed its Phase 1 dose-escalation work. A November 17 FDA meeting is scheduled for an important regulatory discussion concerning potential Phase 2 development, including study design, patient population, dosing and endpoints.

Together, the two programs give NeOnc multiple development milestones to pursue.

The company’s ambitions also extend beyond conventional drug development.

Its research platform combines patented 3D bioprinting technology with artificial intelligence to create patient-derived tumor models and help researchers evaluate potential treatments.

This approach could support a more personalized understanding of tumor biology and treatment response.

The company has also highlighted molecular characteristics, including IDH mutations, as part of its precision-medicine strategy.

For investors, the broader takeaway is that NeOnc is building a story around multiple interconnected capabilities: drug development, innovative delivery, tumor modeling and AI-assisted research.

Meanwhile, its international ambitions have been reinforced by developments in Abu Dhabi, including the appointment of Ali Alabedin, Head of Islamic Banking Group at First Abu Dhabi Bank, to the company’s board.

These developments add an international dimension to a company whose clinical ambitions are increasingly extending beyond a single market.

Now Comes the Interesting Part for Traders: Potential Short Squeeze

While the clinical story is compelling on its own, NTHI also has another ingredient that could make its shares particularly interesting to traders: short interest.

Based on the October 15 Nasdaq market-data, approximately 877,000 shares were reported short.

At the same time, the stock has recovered from an approximate $2.50 low to eclipse the $3 level.

Put those figures together and the potential trading implications become interesting.

The reported short position represents approximately 5.6 days of trading volume at that ten-day average. If short sellers needed to cover 500,000 shares over a relatively short period, that would represent more than three full days of average trading volume. That is a meaningful amount of potential buying demand.

Strategic Combination Brings Highly Innovative Late-Stage D-Fi Franchise Targeting Rare Diseases, with Orphan Drug-Designated Lead Indication in Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEB)

Combines Two Complementary Platforms Across Therapeutic Modalities: Castle Creek’s Fibroblast-Based Cell and Gene Therapy Technology with Pelthos’ Novel Platform

DURHAM, N.C. and EXTON, Pa., Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Pelthos Therapeutics Inc. (NYSE American: PTHS) (“Pelthos” or the “Company”), a biopharmaceutical company committed to commercializing innovative therapeutic products for unmet patient needs, and Castle Creek Biosciences, Inc. (“Castle Creek”), a late-stage company developing redosable gene therapies, today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Castle Creek will merge with Pelthos. The combination creates a transformative biotechnology company with novel technologies, including cell and gene therapy, targeting serious diseases that affect the skin. Castle Creek’s late-stage fibroblast-based platform complements Pelthos’ novel FDA-approved product portfolio and established commercial capabilities in dermatology. Upon close, the combined company will operate as Pelthos Therapeutics Inc. and continue to trade on the NYSE American (ticker symbol: “PTHS”).

Castle Creek’s lead candidate is D-Fi (dabocemagene autoficel; FCX-007), an injectable, redosable, gene-modified cell therapy with a continued Phase 3 study planned for the treatment of dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB), a devastating rare inherited disease caused by mutations in the COL7A1 gene. There is significant demand for new treatment options in DEB given the substantial burden of untreated wounds and increased risk of squamous cell carcinoma. D-Fi, which has received Orphan Drug Designation, is administered by intradermal injection every other month, and the drug product delivers type VII collagen (COL7) producing cells. In addition, Castle Creek is using its proprietary fibroblast technology to develop a topical formulation of D-Fi and to pursue additional therapeutic targets in serious diseases that affect the skin, including malignancies and inflammatory conditions.

“This transformative combination brings a novel platform with significant growth potential to Pelthos and broadens our focus beyond cutaneous infectious diseases to serious diseases that affect the skin,” said Scott Plesha, CEO of Pelthos. “D-Fi builds on our established strength in dermatology, especially within pediatric dermatology, which we believe will accelerate its launch and value in the marketplace. This transaction creates a stronger, more diversified biotechnology company positioned to bring important new therapies to patients and drive long-term value for our shareholders.”

“D-Fi has the potential to become a blockbuster franchise in DEB, where patients still have significant unmet needs,” said Matt Gantz, Chairman and CEO of Castle Creek. “Joining with Pelthos will provide the commercial infrastructure to help realize the D-Fi opportunity and accelerate the pipeline of new indications from our platform.”

Strategic Rationale

  • Compelling Complementary Capabilities: As part of Pelthos’ portfolio, D-Fi will leverage the Company’s established commercial leadership, deep expertise in dermatology, and existing physician relationships to accelerate its commercial launch and delivery of important therapies to patients.
  • Greater Pipeline Diversification: The combination brings together Pelthos’ three novel FDA-approved products, ZELSUVMI®, XEPI® and XEGLYZE®, with D-Fi, creating a portfolio spanning marketed, launch-stage and late-stage assets across multiple therapeutic modalities. This broader mix provides multiple potential sources of growth over different time horizons.
  • Expanded Technology Base: Castle Creek’s fibroblast technology adds a cell and gene therapy capability to Pelthos’ existing Nitricil platform, giving the combined company multiple therapeutic modalities to address serious diseases that affect the skin where conventional small molecules have had limited impact and expand the pipeline over time.

Transaction Terms

Under the terms of the agreement, Castle Creek stockholders will receive 5,200,000 shares of Pelthos common stock at the closing of the transaction, representing approximately 32.5% of Pelthos’ fully diluted shares. As defined within the agreement, and subject to meeting various developmental and sales-based criteria, Castle Creek stockholders will also be eligible to receive: (i) up to 5,800,000 shares of Pelthos common stock upon FDA approval of D-Fi; (ii) up to a total of $300 million in milestone payments, payable in cash (or, to the extent required to preserve the intended tax treatment of the transaction, in a combination of cash and shares of Pelthos common stock), including a $50 million payment due upon achievement of specified Phase 3 clinical endpoints, and up to $250 million in additional consideration tied to D-Fi’s first commercial sale and achievement of specified net sales milestones; and (iii) 80% of the net proceeds from the sale of any priority review voucher awarded upon FDA approval of D-Fi.

The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies and is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions including approval by Castle Creek’s stockholders. Scott Plesha will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer, and Peter Greenleaf will serve as Executive Chair of the combined company. Upon closing, the combined company’s board will consist of 10 directors, including two designated by Castle Creek.

About D-Fi
D-Fi (dabocemagene autoficel; FCX-007) is an injectable autologous gene-modified cell therapy candidate for the treatment of DEB, a devastating, progressive, painful and debilitating rare genetic skin disorder. DEB is caused by a mutation in the COL7A1 gene, leading to a deficiency of normal type VII collagen (COL7) protein, impairing the connection between the epidermis and the dermis. D-Fi is composed of a patient’s own dermal fibroblasts, which are genetically modified completely ex vivo with a self-inactivating (SIN) lentiviral vector (LV) containing the COL7A1 gene to express COL7. D-Fi is locally administered by intradermal injection into chronic wounds where the COL7 protein can support the formation of anchoring fibrils in the skin. In clinical studies, D-Fi has been generally well tolerated, with injection site reactions (skin discoloration, erythema, hemorrhage, pain, and swelling) being the most commonly reported adverse drug reactions. D-Fi has Orphan Drug Designation for the treatment of DEB and Rare Pediatric Disease, Fast Track, and Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy designations for the treatment of recessive DEB (RDEB) from the FDA.

About Castle Creek Biosciences, Inc.

  • Final Safety Evaluation Report formally completes NRC safety review
  • Marks completion of both primary reviews required for Construction Permit approval
  • Establishes regulatory precedent to support more efficient licensing of future Xe-100 projects

ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — X-Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: XE) (“X-energy” or “the Company”), a leading developer of advanced nuclear reactors and fuel technology, today announced the completion of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (“NRC”) safety review for the initial deployment of X-energy’s Xe-100 high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (“HTGR”). The proposed Long Mott Generating Station would be the first grid-scale advanced nuclear reactor at an industrial facility in U.S. history, advancing in partnership with Dow (NYSE: DOW) under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program (“ARDP”).

The NRC’s Final Safety Evaluation Report (“FSER”) follows a comprehensive review of the Xe-100 plant’s principal design criteria, preliminary design, safety analyses, probabilistic risk assessment, and research and development programs, documenting the NRC staff’s conclusion that the proposed plant and site provide the safety basis to begin construction under 10 CFR Part 50. The Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards, an independent body that advises the Commission, separately reviewed the NRC staff’s evaluation and supports issuance of the construction permit.

The Xe-100’s safety case leverages the passive physics of its TRISO-X coated particle fuel and pebble-bed core design, as well as traditional defense-in-depth systems to enable a new, broader range of applications for nuclear technology. The design’s safety profile enables applicants to pursue a compact site footprint with a 400-meter emergency planning zone compared to 10 miles for conventional light-water reactors. This allows new generation to be sited closer to the point of need, including inside the perimeter of a large industrial facility, or closer to populated areas. While future applications will be reviewed individually, the NRC’s review establishes regulatory precedents for every Xe-100 project that follows, creating replicable pathways for increased efficiency in commercial nuclear licensing.

“Licensing a new reactor is earned through the quality of the application and the rigor of the regulator’s review,” said Dragan Popovic, Chief Global Operating Officer at X-energy. “The NRC’s completion of its safety review reflects years of disciplined work by our team and the NRC staff, establishing the foundations to support every Xe-100 application that follows on the path to scale.”

Commercial licensing for X-energy’s technology is supported by both extensive pre-application engagement with the NRC dating to 2018, as well as decades of U.S. Department of Energy research on HTGR technology. The Xe-100 is the first HTGR construction permit application to use the NRC’s technology-inclusive, risk-informed, and performance-based licensing framework, building on licensing modernization proposals first developed for the DOE’s Next Generation Nuclear Plant program in 2008. TRISO-X fuel is based on TRISO fuel designs pioneered by the DOE through the Advanced Gas Reactor Program, providing both irradiation data and production specifications over 20 years of testing that are central to the fuel’s design today.

In May 2026, the NRC completed its environmental review with an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact. With both primary reviews complete, the project moves to the final stages of the NRC’s construction permit review. In the United Kingdom, the Xe-100 was recently accepted into Generic Design Assessment, initiating a critical step in the licensing process for U.K. deployment. Together, these regulatory milestones advance the Company’s vision of transformative energy technology to fuel the future of humanity.

About X-energy
X-energy, Inc. is a leading developer of advanced small modular nuclear reactors and fuel technology designed to establish a new standard in clean, safe, reliable energy. X-energy’s intrinsically safe Xe-100 high-temperature gas reactor and TRISO-X particle fuel expand applications for nuclear technology, with commercial projects underway with Dow, Amazon, and Centrica across grid, industrial, and AI applications. Together, X-energy’s technology drives enhanced safety, lower cost, faster construction timelines, and scalable deployment when compared with other SMRs and conventional nuclear.

Presentation to explore the potential of RNA-splicing payloads to drive broad anti-tumor effects through direct cell killing along with immune activation

Satyajit Mitra, Executive Director, Head of Oncology, to discuss differentiated payload mechanisms and preclinical findings supporting next-generation ADC development

TAMPA, Fla. and LONDON, Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Akari Therapeutics, Plc (Nasdaq: AKTX), an oncology biotechnology company developing antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) with a novel RNA splicing disrupting payload, today announced that Satyajit Mitra, Executive Director, Head of Oncology, will deliver a presentation at the 3rd Annual ADC Payload Summit. The conference will take place November 4–6, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts.

The presentation will explore RNA-splicing modulation as an alternative ADC payload mechanism designed both to induce cancer-cell death and activate antitumor immunity. It will address the scientific rationale, engineering considerations and preclinical evidence supporting this approach, including the potential to differentiate from ADCs utilizing traditional microtubule and topoisomerase inhibitor payloads.

Akari’s proprietary PH1 payload is a spliceosome modulator designed to disrupt RNA splicing within cancer cells. In preclinical models, this approach has demonstrated cancer-cell killing together with activation of innate and adaptive immune responses. Given its unique biology and engineering, the PH1 payload could play a key role in the emerging concept of ADC therapy sequencing after patients lose response to ADCs with traditional payloads. PH1 serves as the foundation for Akari’s differentiated ADC pipeline, including lead candidate AKTX-101, a TROP2-PH1 ADC.

“Advancing ADC innovation requires exploring novel mechanisms that can improve outcomes for patients,” said Abizer Gaslightwala, President and Chief Executive Officer of Akari Therapeutics. “Our PH1 platform is designed to combine targeted cancer-cell killing with immune activation, offering a differentiated approach to ADC development. We look forward to sharing the scientific rationale and preclinical findings behind our RNA-splicing payload strategy with researchers and industry leaders focused on the next generation of ADCs.”

About Akari Therapeutics

Akari Therapeutics is an oncology biotechnology company developing next-generation antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) with a unique payload, PH1, which targets RNA splicing. Utilizing its innovative ADC discovery platform, the Company has the ability to generate ADC candidates and optimize them based on the desired application to any antigen target of interest. Akari’s lead candidate, AKTX-101, targets the Trop2 receptor on cancer cells with a proprietary linker, enabling it to deliver its novel PH1 payload directly into the tumor with minimal off-target effects. Unlike current ADCs that use microtubule inhibitors and DNA-damaging agents as their payloads, PH1 is a novel payload that is a spliceosome modulator designed to disrupt RNA splicing within cancer cells. This splicing modulation has been shown in preclinical animal models to induce cancer cell death while activating both the innate and adaptive immune systems to drive robust and durable activity. In preclinical studies, AKTX-101 has been shown to have significant activity and prolonged survival relative to ADCs with traditional payloads. Additionally, AKTX-101 has the potential to be synergistic with checkpoint inhibitors and has demonstrated prolonged survival as both a single agent and in combination with checkpoint inhibitors. The PH1 payload has also been demonstrated to be very active against cancer cells with key oncogenic drivers such as KRAS, BRAF, AR-V7, FGFR3 fusions, and others. The Company has initiated IND enabling studies for AKTX-101 with a goal of starting its First-In-Human trial by mid-2027. Akari is also developing AKTX-102, an ADC candidate targeting CEACAM5 (Carcinoembryonic Antigen-related Cell Adhesion Molecule-5), a well-validated tumor antigen broadly expressed across multiple solid tumors. AKTX-102 is designed to leverage Akari’s proprietary PH1 spliceosome-modulating payload and a novel antibody construct to enable differentiated tumor cell killing and immune activation.

About NPM1-Mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Mutations in the NPM1 gene are the most common genetic alteration observed in AML, occurring in approximately 30% of adults with AML. Mutations in this gene play a critical role in the development of NPM1-mutated (NPM1m) AML, an aggressive blood cancer associated with high rates of relapse.

About KMT2A-Rearranged Acute Leukemia

Rearrangements of the KMT2A gene (KMT2Ar) give rise to an aggressive form of acute leukemia associated with a very poor prognosis and high relapse rates. It is estimated that more than 95% of patients with KMT2Ar acute leukemia have a KMT2A translocation, a type of rearrangement that occurs when part of one chromosome breaks and fuses to a different chromosome. KMT2A translocations are found in about 10% of acute leukemias and are especially prevalent among infants and children with acute leukemia.

About Revuforj® (revumenib)

Revuforj (revumenib) is the first and only menin inhibitor that is FDA approved for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients one year and older with relapsed or refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with a susceptible NPM1 mutation who have no satisfactory alternative treatment options or R/R acute leukemia with a KMT2A translocation as determined by an FDA-authorized test.

Multiple trials of revumenib are ongoing or planned across the treatment landscape, including in combination with standard of care therapies in newly diagnosed patients with NPM1-mutated or KMT2A-rearranged AML.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

WARNING: DIFFERENTIATION SYNDROME, QTc PROLONGATION, and TORSADES DE POINTES

Differentiation syndrome, which can be fatal, has occurred with Revuforj. Signs and symptoms may include fever, dyspnea, hypoxia, pulmonary infiltrates, pleural or pericardial effusions, rapid weight gain or peripheral edema, hypotension, and renal dysfunction. If differentiation syndrome is suspected, immediately initiate corticosteroid therapy and hemodynamic monitoring until symptom resolution.

QTc prolongation and Torsades de Pointes have occurred in patients receiving Revuforj. Correct hypokalemia and hypomagnesemia prior to and during treatment. Do not initiate Revuforj in patients with QTcF > 450 msec. If QTc interval prolongation occurs, interrupt, reduce, or permanently discontinue Revuforj.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

Differentiation Syndrome: Revuforj can cause fatal or life-threatening differentiation syndrome (DS). Symptoms of DS, including those seen in patients treated with Revuforj, include fever, dyspnea, hypoxia, peripheral edema, pleuropericardial effusion, acute renal failure, rash, and/or hypotension.

In clinical trials, DS occurred in 60 (25%) of 241 patients treated with Revuforj at the recommended dosage for relapsed or refractory acute leukemia. Among those with a KMT2A translocation, DS occurred in 33% of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), 33% of patients with mixed-phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL), and 9% of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL); DS occurred in 18% of patients with NPM1m AML. DS was Grade 3 or 4 in 12% of patients and fatal in 2 patients. The median time to initial onset was 9 days (range 3-41 days). Some patients experienced more than 1 DS event. Treatment interruption was required for 7% of patients, and treatment was withdrawn for 1%.

Reduce the white blood cell count to less than 25 Gi/L prior to starting Revuforj. If DS is suspected, immediately initiate treatment with systemic corticosteroids (e.g., dexamethasone 10 mg IV every 12 hours in adults or dexamethasone 0.25 mg/kg/dose IV every 12 hours in pediatric patients weighing less than 40 kg) for a minimum of 3 days and until resolution of signs and symptoms. Institute supportive measures and hemodynamic monitoring until improvement. Interrupt Revuforj if severe signs and/or symptoms persist for more than 48 hours after initiation of systemic corticosteroids, or earlier if life-threatening symptoms occur such as pulmonary symptoms requiring ventilator support. Restart steroids promptly if DS recurs after tapering corticosteroids.

QTc Interval Prolongation and Torsades de Pointes: Revuforj can cause QT (QTc) interval prolongation and Torsades de Pointes.

Of the 241 patients treated with Revuforj at the recommended dosage for relapsed or refractory acute leukemia in clinical trials, QTc interval prolongation was reported as an adverse reaction in 86 (36%) patients. QTc interval prolongation was Grade 3 in 15% and Grade 4 in 2%. The heart-rate corrected QT interval (using Fridericia’s method) (QTcF) was greater than 500 msec in 10%, and the increase from baseline QTcF was greater than 60 msec in 24%. Revuforj dose reduction was required for 7% due to QTc interval prolongation. QTc prolongation occurred in 21% of the 34 patients less than 17 years old, 35% of the 146 patients 17 years to less than 65 years old, and 46% of the 61 patients 65 years or older. One patient had a fatal outcome of cardiac arrest, and one patient had non-sustained Torsades de Pointes.

Correct electrolyte abnormalities, including hypokalemia and hypomagnesemia, prior to and throughout treatment with Revuforj. Perform an electrocardiogram (ECG) prior to initiation of Revuforj, and do not initiate Revuforj in patients with QTcF >450 msec. Perform an ECG at least once weekly for the first 4 weeks and at least monthly thereafter. In patients with congenital long QTc syndrome, congestive heart failure, electrolyte abnormalities, or those who are taking medications known to prolong the QTc interval, more frequent ECG monitoring may be necessary. Concomitant use with drugs known to prolong the QTc interval may increase the risk of QTc interval prolongation.

  • Interrupt Revuforj if QTcF increases >480 msec and <500 msec, and restart Revuforj at the same dose twice daily after the QTcF interval returns to ≤480 msec
  • Interrupt Revuforj if QTcF increases >500 msec or by >60 msec from baseline, and restart Revuforj twice daily at the lower-dose level after the QTcF interval returns to ≤480 msec
  • Permanently discontinue Revuforj in patients with ventricular arrhythmias and in those who develop QTc interval prolongation with signs or symptoms of life-threatening arrhythmia

Embryo-Fetal Toxicity: Revuforj can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. Advise pregnant women of the potential risk to a fetus. Advise females of reproductive potential and males with female partners of reproductive potential to use effective contraception during treatment with Revuforj and for 4 months after the last dose of Revuforj.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Fatal adverse reactions occurred in 9 (4%) patients who received Revuforj, including 4 with sudden death, 2 with differentiation syndrome, 2 with hemorrhage, and 1 with cardiac arrest.

Serious adverse reactions were reported in 184 (76%) patients. The most frequent serious adverse reactions (≥10%) were infection (29%), febrile neutropenia (20%), bacterial infection (15%), differentiation syndrome (13%), and hemorrhage (11%).

The most common adverse reactions (≥20%) including laboratory abnormalities, were phosphate increased (51%), hemorrhage (48%), nausea (48%), infection without identified pathogen (46%), aspartate aminotransferase increased (44%), alanine aminotransferase increased (40%), creatinine increased (38%), musculoskeletal pain (37%), febrile neutropenia (37%), electrocardiogram QT prolonged (36%), potassium decreased (34%), parathyroid hormone intact increased (34%), alkaline phosphatase increased (33%), diarrhea (29%), bacterial infection (27%), triglycerides increased (27%), phosphate decreased (25%), differentiation syndrome (25%), fatigue (24%), edema (24%), viral infection (23%), decreased appetite (20%), and constipation (20%).

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Drug interactions can occur when Revuforj is concomitantly used with:

  • Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors: reduce Revuforj dose
  • Strong or moderate CYP3A4 inducers: avoid concomitant use with Revuforj
  • QTc-prolonging drugs: avoid concomitant use with Revuforj. If concomitant use is unavoidable, obtain ECGs when initiating, during concomitant use, and as clinically indicated. Withhold Revuforj if the QTc interval is >480 msec. Restart Revuforj after the QTc interval returns to ≤480 msec

SPECIFIC POPULATIONS

Lactation: advise lactating women not to breastfeed during treatment with Revuforj and for 1 week after the last dose.

Pregnancy and testing: Revuforj can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. Verify pregnancy status in females of reproductive potential within 7 days prior to initiating Revuforj.

HANOVER, N.H., Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ledyard Financial Group, Inc. (the “Company”, OTCQX®: LFGP), the holding company for Ledyard National Bank (the “Bank”), reported quarterly net income per diluted share of $0.73, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared to $0.52 in the prior quarter, and $0.46 in the third quarter a year ago, supported by continued strength in core business activities. Reflecting the continued success of the Company’s strategic investments, net income for the third quarter of 2026 was $2.5 million, a substantial increase of 60.2% over the comparable year-ago period.

“This quarter’s record earnings show that our investments and initiatives are paying off, and we expect that momentum to continue,” said Josephine Moran, CEO. “The third quarter earnings evidence how our focus on expanding revenue opportunities, enhancing profitability, and delivering greater operational efficiency through innovation and technology is working. We are getting great results leveraging ‘One Ledyard’ – our unique, comprehensive approach to building and deepening relationships. Wealth management remains an active area of growth for us, where we are exploring strategic partnerships to complement our ongoing new business development. As we enter the final quarter of the year, we are confident in the Company’s financial outlook while prioritizing our local communities and our people.”

“Reflecting the continued success of our investment strategy, net income reached a record high for the Company, up 42.0% compared to the second quarter, and up 60.2% from the year ago quarter. Strong loan growth also continued to drive our balance sheet operational efficiencies, and the wealth management division’s revenue increased compared to the previous quarter, actively showcasing the effectiveness of our strategic priorities for the year,” said Peter Sprudzs, CFO.

Third Quarter 2026 Highlights

  • Third quarter 2026 net income was $2.5 million, or $0.73 per share, up $929 thousand from the third quarter of 2025 and up $731 thousand from the prior quarter. Q3 2026 results included growth in both net interest income and wealth management revenue compared to Q2 2026.
  • Total assets ended the quarter at $1.16 billion, up $135.7 million or 13.2% from a year ago and up $93.8 million, or 8.8% from the prior quarter, primarily the result of strong loan growth.
    • Loans grew $67.1 million or 9.2% from the prior quarter and ended $154.7 million, or 24.1% higher than a year ago.
    • Excluding funds from the wealth management business, third quarter client deposits increased $45.8 million (7.2%) compared to the prior quarter and $72.5 million (11.9%) compared to the third quarter of 2025. Including wealth management balances, client deposits increased $36.8 million and grew $67.3 million over Q2 2026 and Q3 2025, respectively.
    • Net interest margin (NIM) was 2.91%, up 10 basis points from the prior quarter and up 37 basis points from the third quarter a year ago.
  • Assets Under Administration (AUA) ended the quarter at $2.59 billion, up 0.8% from $2.57 billion at the end of Q2 2026, and up 7.9% from $2.40 billion at the end of Q3 2025.
  • Revenue from the wealth management business increased $61 thousand (1.3%) compared to the prior quarter, and $519 thousand (12.1%) compared to the third quarter a year ago, reflecting the benefits of market performance and business development efforts.
  • The Company’s efficiency ratio was 74.0% for Q3 2026, compared to 81.0% in Q2 2026 and 82.4% in Q3 2025.
  • The Company declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.21 per share.

Income Statement Review

The Company generated a return on average common equity of 15.08% and a return on average assets of 0.90% in Q3 2026, compared to 10.94% and 0.66%, respectively, in Q2 2026 and 10.31% and 0.58%, respectively, in Q3 2025.

“Our net interest margin expanded during the quarter, driven by disciplined loan pricing, lower funding costs and a stronger deposit mix. Alongside solid balance sheet growth, this shows we are growing responsibly, not at the expense of margins, a strategy we remain committed to,” said Sprudzs.

Third quarter NIM improved to 2.91%, from 2.82% and 2.54% in Q2 2026 and Q3 2025, respectively. Quarter over quarter, earning asset yields increased by 15 basis points and the cost of interest-bearing liabilities increased by 6 basis points, while the impact on NIM of other factors (most notably the contribution from derivative hedge positions) was unchanged. Reported NIM figures do not reflect the beneficial effect of the tax advantage provided by the Company’s $140.3 million in municipal bond holdings.

Provision for credit losses was $471 thousand in Q3 2026, reflecting a net increase in credit reserves (ACL and Liability for Unfunded Commitments) of $192 thousand and net charge-offs of $279 thousand. Comparatively, in Q2 2026 the provision for credit losses was $271 thousand and Q3 2025 the provision for credit losses was $88 thousand.

Non-interest revenue for Q3 2026 totaled $6.0 million, up $608 thousand or 11.2% from Q2 2026, and up $1.2 million or 25.3% from Q3 2025.

  • Wealth management revenue totaled $4.8 million in Q3 2026, up $61 thousand or 1.3% from Q2 2026, and up $519 thousand or 12.1% from Q3 2025.
    • Assets Under Administration (AUA) ended the quarter at $2.59 billion, up 0.8% from $2.57 billion at the end of Q2 2026, and up 7.9% from $2.40 billion at the end of Q3 2025.
  • Net revenue from brokerage commissions in Q3 2026 was $114 thousand, down from $196 thousand in Q2 2026 and $124 thousand in Q3 2025.
  • Non-interest revenue included $174 thousand in swap gain revenue, related to a loan payoff and refinancing. The sale of a portion of a bank-owned building no longer in use generated a gain of $1.1 million; that gain was largely offset by losses on the sale of available-for-sale securities and certain residential loans. The net effect of these transactions contributed $374 thousand to non-interest revenue, and reduced non-interest income by $31 thousand due to related derivatives accounting impacts.
  • Separately, the company initiated ongoing mortgage sale activity, generating a gain of $8 thousand.

“We continue to focus on the mix of the balance sheet,” said Sprudzs. “During the quarter we sold $13.3 million in available-for-sale securities and $3.5 million in residential loans. These transactions serve to improve profitability by way of reducing some higher-cost debt balances and allowing lower-yielding assets to be replaced by assets at current market yields.”

Non-interest expense in Q3 2026 was $10.1 million, up $78 thousand (0.8%) from $10.0 million in Q2 2026, and up $1.1 million (11.6%) from $9.0 million in Q3 2025.

The Company’s efficiency ratio declined to 74.0% for Q3 2026, reflecting an 8.4% decrease compared to the third quarter a year ago, and a 7.0% decrease compared to the prior quarter. Excluding the non-recurring non-interest revenue items noted above, the efficiency ratio for the current quarter would have been approximately 77.2%.

The Company’s investments in Low Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt municipal bonds continue to provide tax benefits. In Q3 2026, the net tax expense was $602 thousand, compared to $342 thousand in Q2 2026 and $296 thousand in Q3 2025. The effective tax rate for the third quarter of 2026 was 19.6%, compared to 16.4% for the second quarter of 2026 and 16.1% for the third quarter of 2025.

Balance Sheet Review

The Company’s total assets at September 30, 2026 were $1.16 billion, up $93.8 million or 8.8% over Q2 2026, and up $135.7 million or 13.2% from the end of Q3 2025. The increase was primarily driven by loan growth funded by both retail deposit growth and an increase in wholesale funding.

Gross loans increased $155.9 million, or 24.1% over the last 12 months, while growing $67.3 million or 9.1%, over the prior quarter, to $803.2 million at September 30, 2026. Loan growth continued to be broad based and well spread across several loan categories. Commercial loans increased 17.0% to $448.9 million at September 30, 2026, compared to $383.7 million a year earlier. Residential loans increased 36.0% to $333.9 million at September 30, 2026, compared to $245.4 million a year earlier. Consumer loans increased 13.5% to $20.4 million at September 30, 2026, compared to $17.9 million a year earlier.

“Loan growth during the quarter reflects our disciplined approach to balance sheet management. We have demonstrated our capacity to grow loans prudently, and we remain committed to expanding our retail funding base in step with that growth,” said Sprudzs.

Credit reserves totaled $5.9 million at September 30, 2026, which included $5.6 million in ACL and $230 thousand in liability for unfunded commitments. ACL increased $245 thousand and $1.2 million over Q2 2026 and Q3 2025, respectively, and amounted to 0.70% of gross loan balances at September 30, 2026, down from 0.73% at June 30, 2026, and up from 0.69% at September 30, 2025. The liability for unfunded commitments was down $53 thousand from Q2 2026, and down $337 thousand from Q3 2025. This reserve balance is included in other liabilities on the balance sheet. Net charge-offs totaled $279 thousand in Q3 2026, and the ACL at the end of the quarter provided 2.6 times coverage of non-performing assets. “Credit quality remains strong, and our reserve position reflects a measured approach to evolving credit conditions in our footprint,” said Sprudzs.

Client deposits excluding wealth funds increased $45.8 million, or 7.2%, during Q3 2026 from the previous quarter, and increased $72.5 million, or 11.9%, from a year ago. Wealth management fund deposit balances decreased $9.0 million compared to Q2 2026 and were down $5.1 million over Q3 2025.

The Company continues to focus on maintaining a robust liquidity profile, with a diverse deposit base of approximately 80% retail deposits and 20% commercial deposits. Additionally, approximately 83% of deposits are insured, and the Company has proven access to both unsecured and secured wholesale funding channels.

Quarter over quarter, the Company increased wholesale borrowings and deposits acquired through brokers or listing channels by $55.1 million. The average term of the Company’s wholesale funding was 1.7 years as of September 30, 2026, compared to 2.2 years at the end of the previous quarter.

The Company has significant liquidity resources available to support operations, as it maintains good standing and extensive portfolios pledged at FHLB Boston and the Federal Reserve. The Company had over $158.0 million in readily accessible borrowing capacity as of September 30, 2026.

On September 30, 2026, shareholders’ equity was $64.9 million, up $13 thousand from the prior quarter end, and up $5.5 million or 9.2% from September 30, 2025.

Capital Management

The Bank’s capital ratios continue to exceed the Federal Reserve’s well capitalized thresholds. As expected, capital ratios have declined over the past year due to strategic balance sheet growth. On September 30, 2026, the Company’s book value per share excluding and including AOCI stood at $22.85 and $18.62, respectively, compared to $22.30 and $18.62, respectively, at June 30, 2026, and $21.28 and $17.16, respectively, at September 30, 2025.

Dividend Declaration

On October 29, 2026, the Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.21 per share, payable December 11, 2026, to shareholders of record as of November 20, 2026. The current dividend represents an annualized yield of approximately 3.82% based on recent market prices.

ATHENS, Greece, Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (the “Company”, “CCEC”, “we” or “us”) (NASDAQ: CCEC), an international owner of ocean-going vessels, today released its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

Key Highlights

  • Took delivery of one Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (“LNG/C”), one Handy Liquefied CO2 Multi-Gas Carrier (“HMG/C”) and one dual-fuel Medium Gas Carrier (“MG/C”)
  • Secured new employment for two LNG/Cs and four gas carriers, including a one-year index-linked time charter for one of the six LNG/Cs under construction and a one-year time charter for the MG/C Aridaios
  • Achieved third-quarter daily time charter equivalent (“TCE”) rates of $83,862 for the LNG/C fleet and $40,987 for the Gas Fleet
  • Declared a dividend of $0.15 per share for the third quarter of 2026

Management Commentary
Mr. Jerry Kalogiratos, Chief Executive Officer of CCEC, commented: “The third quarter of 2026 was defined by continued uncertainty in the Middle East, with only intermittent LNG transits through the Strait of Hormuz. Although partly cushioned by growing North American liquefaction capacity, the resulting loss of Middle East volumes tightened the Atlantic Basin LNG market, with European storage at multi-year lows ahead of winter and Asian buyers competing for US cargoes. At the same time, elevated newbuild deliveries and greater vessel availability led to a softening of the LNG shipping spot market from first-half levels. Our strategy of employing latest-generation vessels on long-term charters with high-quality counterparties has insulated CCEC from this short-term volatility.

Year to date, we have taken delivery of eight vessels (three LNG/Cs, two MG/Cs and three HMG/Cs), with a further eight scheduled for delivery in 2027, marking a significant acceleration in the build-out of the CCEC platform. Our fleet in the water now comprises 15 latest-generation LNG/Cs, three HMG/Cs, two MG/Cs and one legacy Neo-Panamax container vessel, with another six LNG/Cs, four MG/Cs, one HMG/C and one Liquefied Natural Gas Bunkering Vessel (“LNGB/V”) on order.

CCEC is the largest US-listed LNG carrier shipping company by fleet size, with a substantial and growing presence in the LPG market, underpinned by contracted fleet growth through 2029. The average firm contract duration stands at 6.4 years for our LNG/C fleet and 0.7 years for our LPG/multi-gas fleet. Contracted revenues of approximately $2.8 billion, rising to approximately $4.2 billion if all charter options are exercised, provide us with strong cash flow visibility.

Looking ahead, we expect the LNG shipping market to remain volatile in view of the geopolitical uncertainty that currently affects LNG shipping volumes, vessel supply and commodity arbitrage. We are, however, confident in the long-term fundamentals. The wave of new liquefaction capacity coming online through the end of the decade, together with an increased desire for energy security, should underpin demand for LNG. In addition, the need to replace older, less efficient tonnage should drive demand for modern LNG carriers. These fundamentals leave CCEC well positioned to deliver long-term value for our shareholders.”

Fleet Update – LNG/Cs
The Company took delivery of the LNG/C Alcaios I (HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd., 174,000 cubic meters (“CBM”)) on July 31, 2026. The vessel immediately commenced its previously announced employment under an 18-month index-linked time charter. The acquisition of the LNG/C Alcaios I was funded with cash on hand and $170.0 million of excess proceeds raised through the refinancing of two existing sale and leaseback facilities for the LNG/Cs Aristos I and Aristarchos. The vessel was added as additional security by way of mortgage under the refinanced facilities, which have a 10-year term.

Alcaios I is the 15th latest-generation LNG/C delivered to the Company.

The Company has also secured a one-year index-linked time charter, commencing upon delivery from the shipyard, for the LNG/C Athlos, the second of its six LNG/Cs under construction, which is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027. Upon completion of this employment, the vessel will commence its previously announced seven-year time charter.

The previously announced sale of the LNG/C Amore Mio I (2023-built, 174,000 CBM) to a subsidiary of the joint venture company owned 51% by CCEC and 49% by a company affiliated with BGN (the “LNG/C Joint Venture”) for $230.0 million is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, upon which the vessel will commence its 10-year time charter (with two three-year extension options) to BGN INT DMCC. In the meantime, following the completion of its previous employment, the vessel has commenced an interim time charter that runs until its delivery to the LNG/C Joint Venture.

Fleet Update – MG/Cs and HMG/Cs
On July 23, 2026, the Company took delivery of the MG/C Aridaios (HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., a 45,000 CBM dual-fuel LPG carrier), which is currently employed under a short-term charter ending in the fourth quarter of 2026, after which it will commence a time charter with a duration of one year. The acquisition of the MG/C Aridaios was financed with cash on hand and a seven-year sale and leaseback facility of $54.7 million. Under the facility, the Company may borrow an additional amount of up to $11.7 million if the vessel secures employment for longer than 36 months.

On September 9, 2026, the Company took delivery of the HMG/C Alkimos (HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd., 22,000 CBM). In October 2026, the vessel commenced a time charter with an expected duration through May 2027. The acquisition of the Alkimos was financed with cash on hand and a 12-year ECA-backed loan of $52.8 million. Under the terms of this loan, the Company may borrow an additional amount of up to $8.1 million if the vessel secures longer-term employment.

The Alkimos is the third latest-generation HMG/C delivered to the Company, bringing the total number of vessels in the water to 21.

In addition, the HMG/Cs Active and Amadeus have secured follow-on employment under time charters of nine and five months, respectively, with expected durations through the second quarter of 2027.

Under-Construction Fleet Update
The Company’s under-construction fleet includes six latest-generation LNG/Cs (referred to below as the “Newbuild LNG/Cs”), four MG/Cs and one HMG/C (referred to below as the “Gas Fleet”) and one LNGB/V (50% ownership through joint venture). The following table sets out the Company’s schedule of expected capex payments for its under-construction fleet:

Overview of the Third Quarter 2026 Financial Results
Key Financial Highlights (continuing operations)

  Three-month periods ended September 30,
  2026  2025  Increase / (Decrease)
Revenues, net $138.1 million  $95.6 million  44%
Expenses $69.3 million  $47.4 million  46%
Interest expense and finance cost $33.7 million  $25.5 million  32%
Net Income $34.6 million  $22.7 million  52%
Average number of vessels[1] 19.7  13.0  52%

¹ Average number of vessels is measured by aggregating the number of days each vessel was part of our fleet during the period and dividing such aggregate number by the number of calendar days in the period.

Net income for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, was $34.6 million, compared to net income of $22.7 million for the third quarter of 2025.

Total revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, were $138.1 million, compared to $95.6 million during the third quarter of 2025. The increase in revenue was mainly attributed to the increase in the average number of vessels in our fleet following the deliveries of our three HMG/Cs on January 5, April 30 and September 9, 2026, our first two dual-fuel MG/Cs on June 4 and July 23, 2026, and three additional LNG/Cs on June 2, June 17 and July 31, 2026. Revenue also benefited from the increase in available days of the LNG/Cs Aristos I and Aristidis I, which underwent their five-year special surveys in the third quarter of 2025. These increases were partly offset by the off-hire days incurred by the LNG/Cs Attalos and Asklipios while passing their five-year special surveys during the quarter.

Total expenses for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, were $69.3 million, compared to $47.4 million in the third quarter of 2025. Voyage expenses during the third quarter of 2026 amounted to $9.0 million, compared to $2.2 million during the third quarter of 2025. The increase was mainly attributable to voyage expenses incurred by certain of our vessels during the period from their delivery from the yard until commencing their employment, and ballast legs associated with certain of our vessels passing their five-year special survey.

Vessel operating expenses during the third quarter of 2026 amounted to $25.9 million, compared to $19.7 million during the third quarter of 2025. The increase in vessel operating expenses was mainly attributable to the increase in the average number of vessels in our fleet. Vessel operating expenses for the third quarter of 2026 included $3.7 million in connection with the passing of the five-year special survey of the LNG/Cs Attalos and Asklipios, compared to $5.1 million in connection with the passing of the five-year special survey of the LNG/Cs Aristos I and Aristidis I in the third quarter of 2025.

Total expenses for the third quarter of 2026 also include vessel depreciation and amortization of $30.4 million, compared to $21.8 million in the third quarter of 2025. The increase in depreciation and amortization during the third quarter of 2026 was mainly attributable to the increase in the average number of vessels in our fleet. General and administrative expenses for the third quarter of 2026 increased to $3.9 million, compared to $3.6 million in the third quarter of 2025.

Total other expense, net for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, was $34.2 million, compared to $25.6 million in the third quarter of 2025. Total other expense, net includes interest expense and finance cost of $33.7 million for the third quarter of 2026, compared to $25.5 million for the third quarter of 2025. The increase in interest expense and finance cost mainly reflects the increase in our average indebtedness following the financing of the vessels delivered to the Company during 2026, partly offset by the decrease in the weighted average interest rate charged on our debt compared to the third quarter of last year.

Quarterly Dividend Distribution
On October 22, 2026, the Board of Directors of the Company declared a cash dividend of $0.15 per share for the third quarter of 2026 payable on November 12, 2026, to shareholders of record on November 3, 2026.

Company Capitalization
As of September 30, 2026, total cash amounted to $286.6 million. Total cash includes restricted cash of $17.7 million, which mainly represents the minimum liquidity requirement under our financing arrangements.

As of September 30, 2026, the Company’s total shareholders’ equity amounted to $1,586.7 million, an increase of $87.4 million compared to $1,499.4 million as of December 31, 2025. The increase during the nine-month period ended September 30, 2026, reflects net income (including net income from discontinued operations) of $85.5 million, amortization associated with the equity incentive plan of $4.4 million, $17.3 million of common shares issued under our Dividend Reinvestment Plan, net of expenses, and other comprehensive income of $12.2 million relating to the net effect of the financial instruments we issued to hedge against our foreign currency and interest rate risks which we designated as accounting hedges. These were partly offset by dividends declared during the period for a total amount of $27.0 million and $5.1 million of common shares repurchased under our share repurchase program.

As of September 30, 2026, the Company’s total debt was $3,195.6 million compared to $2,454.3 million as of December 31, 2025 (including discontinued operations). The required annual debt repayments subsequent to September 30, 2026, are as follows:

For the twelve-month period ending September 30, Amount ($ million)
2027 147.7
2028 145.7
2029 262.6
2030 151.6

Hedging Program
As of September 30, 2026, approximately 78% of CCEC’s debt portfolio was exposed to floating interest rates, with the remaining 22% at fixed rates. The three-year zero-cost interest rate collars executed during the second and third quarters of 2026 cover $800.0 million of floating-rate borrowings, with a weighted average floor of 3.7% and a cap of 4.3%. As a result, approximately 47% of total debt is currently either fixed-rate or protected against rising interest rates.

Dividend Reinvestment Plan (“DRIP”)
The Company has implemented a Dividend Reinvestment Plan to provide our shareholders with a convenient and economical way to reinvest cash dividends to purchase our common shares. The DRIP is open to our existing shareholders and investors who will become our shareholders in the future outside of the DRIP. During the nine-month period ended September 30, 2026, the Company issued 813,419 common shares under the DRIP at an average price of $21.43 per share, gross of issuance costs, of which 262,082 common shares were issued during the third quarter of 2026.

As of September 30, 2026, the total common shares outstanding were 60,420,680 (excluding 871,061 common shares held in treasury).

Share Repurchase Program
In April 2026, the Board of Directors approved a share repurchase program, providing the Company with authorization to repurchase up to $20.0 million of the Company’s common shares, effective for a period of two years.

During the three-month period ended September 30, 2026, the Company repurchased 131,181 common shares at an average price of $22.57 per share, for a total consideration of $3.0 million. Since the commencement of the program and through September 30, 2026, the Company has repurchased 230,592 common shares at an average price of $22.12 per share, for a total consideration of $5.1 million. These shares were retired and cancelled.

Annual Meeting of Shareholders and Board Changes
On September 22, 2026, the Company held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders in Piraeus, Greece. Seven directors were re-elected to serve until the 2027 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Mr. Gurpal Grewal retired from the Board of Directors and Ms. Janet DiFiore was elected to the Board of Directors. Ms. DiFiore has 40 years of experience as a prosecutor, trial lawyer, trial judge and appellate judge, including as Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals and the State of New York, and has held senior leadership and executive positions in the public sector for more than 25 years.

LNG Market Update
The LNG shipping market weakened during the third quarter of 2026, as the geopolitical risk premium that had supported freight rates earlier in the year gradually faded and increasing vessel availability began to outweigh cargo demand. Atlantic two-stroke spot rates averaged $51,039 per day during the quarter, while Pacific rates averaged $56,157 per day. The quarter nevertheless saw considerable volatility, with Atlantic rates trading above $90,000 per day at the outset before falling to a quarterly low of around $10,000 per day during August and subsequently recovering somewhat towards quarter-end.

The principal driver of the weaker spot market was an increasingly long tonnage position across both basins. Independent vessels, relets and ships operating on increasingly short rotations due to lower tonne-mile demand provided charterers with ample availability, while periods of limited cargo enquiry intensified competition between owners. The Atlantic Basin experienced the greatest pressure, although the Pacific also softened as regional vessel availability increased. A late-quarter increase in US Gulf requirements provided some support and demonstrated the market’s ability to tighten quickly when cargo demand accelerates, but the depth of available tonnage ultimately limited the sustainability of the recovery.

The term market proved considerably more resilient than the spot market, particularly for longer-dated employment. Shorter-term rates moved lower alongside the spot correction, with six-month two-stroke assessments reaching approximately $50,000 per day and one-year levels around $55,000 per day during the quarter. Conversely, rates for employment of three years and longer remained broadly stable, suggesting that market participants continued to view the weakness primarily as a near-term tonnage imbalance rather than a deterioration in the underlying long-term fundamentals of LNG shipping. Charterers nevertheless maintained a preference for flexibility, with much of the shorter-term interest focused on securing modern tonnage for firm periods through the winter and into 2027 with optionality at the back.

Newbuilding activity remained healthy during the third quarter, with seven LNG carriers ordered across the quarter, including vessels supported by long-term charter commitments, as well as a growing number of speculative orders. Scrapping activity remained limited despite the continued pressure on older, less efficient tonnage: seven LNG carriers were sold for demolition during the first nine months of 2026, only one of which was sold in the third quarter. Overall, the third quarter highlighted a pronounced disconnect between weak prompt fundamentals and more constructive longer-term sentiment.

LPG Market Update
Market conditions across both the MGC and Handy segments strengthened further during the third quarter. Three factors drove the market: continued disruption at the Strait of Hormuz, growing constraints at the Panama Canal, and record US LPG exports. Together they tightened effective fleet supply, lengthened trade routes and raised demand for Atlantic Basin tonnage.

At the Strait of Hormuz, the transit window closed again almost immediately after a brief reopening. Middle East LPG and ammonia exports remained largely shut in, forcing buyers to keep sourcing cargoes from the United States, West Africa and South America. Renewed uncertainty drove a strong rebound in the VLGC market, and the effect spread to the smaller segments.

Falling water levels ahead of a potential El Niño led the Panama Canal Authority to suspend Panamax daily auctions from July 25, cutting daily booking capacity. With Panamax VLGCs expected to make up around 16% of the global VLGC fleet by year-end, the LPG sector is increasingly exposed. Longer waits and higher transit costs absorbed VLGC capacity on the US–Asia route, pushing more US cargoes onto MGCs and onto longer routes via the Cape of Good Hope.

Together, these factors kept tonne-mile demand elevated and steadily reduced vessel availability through the quarter. By quarter-end, both segments were effectively sold out in the West.

The MGC segment remained structurally tight throughout the quarter. With owner-controlled tonnage scarce, trader relets were the main source of supply in July, and by mid-quarter US August positions were fully committed. A wave of fixing in September cleared the remaining list, with some units fixed on time charters of 12 months or more at firm levels. US MGC LPG loadings reached a record 50 in September. With disruption expected to persist through the fourth quarter, newbuildings to be delivered in the first quarter of 2027 are already attracting firm term bids.

The Handy segment again benefited from spillover demand, though the quarter was more volatile. In July, the West position list lengthened as MGC tonnage briefly became available. At the same time, the closing ethane arbitrage pushed ethylene-capable vessels into the LPG pool, weighing on semi-refrigerated spot rates, which briefly fell below $20,000 per day. Conditions reversed sharply in September as MGC tonnage sold out. As a result, spot earnings recovered quickly, with the most recent fixtures concluded above $40,000 per day by quarter-end.

Overall, disruption at Hormuz and Panama, combined with record US LPG exports, underpinned a firm chartering environment through the quarter. One-year time charter rates for fully refrigerated conventional 40,000 CBM MGCs were assessed at approximately $43,000 per day, a significant improvement on the second quarter, while one-year rates for semi-refrigerated Handy vessels remained broadly unchanged at approximately $32,000 per day.

Definitions:
(1) Ownership days are the aggregate number of days in a period during which each vessel in our fleet has been owned by us.
(2) Available days are the number of our ownership days less the aggregate number of days that our vessels are off-hire due to scheduled repairs or repairs under guarantee, vessel upgrades or special surveys.
(3) Operating days are the number of available days in a period less the aggregate number of days that the vessels are off-hire due to any reason, including unforeseen circumstances.
(4) Bareboat charter days are the aggregate number of days in a period during which the vessels in our fleet are subject to a bareboat charter.
(5) Average number of vessels is measured by the sum of the number of days each vessel was part of our fleet during a relevant period divided by the number of calendar days in such period.
(6) Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) rates are our revenue less voyage expenses (“Net Revenue”) during a period divided by the number of our available days during the period. TCE is a non-GAAP metric. TCE rate is a standard shipping industry performance metric used primarily to compare period-to-period changes in a shipping company’s performance despite changes in the mix of charter types (i.e., voyage charters, time charters, and bareboat charters) under which its vessels may be employed between the periods. Our method of computing TCE rate may not necessarily be comparable to those of other companies.

The following table reflects the calculation of our daily TCE rates for the periods presented.

Kodiak’s Autonomy Readiness Measure (“ARM”) for long-haul driverless operations has increased to 99%, putting Kodiak ahead of pace to launch driverless long-haul commercial service by the end of 2026.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kodiak AI, Inc. (“Kodiak”) (Nasdaq: KDK), a leading provider of Physical AI-powered autonomous driving technology, today announced that its Autonomy Readiness Measure (“ARM”) for long-haul driverless operations has increased to 99%, putting Kodiak ahead of pace to launch driverless long-haul commercial service by the end of 2026.

Kodiak’s progress toward closing its long-haul safety case has continued throughout 2026. The company reported an ARM of 84% as of February, 86% as of April, 91% as of July, 93% as of August, and 96% as of September.

The company is now in the final stretch of completing its highway launch safety case. After the safety case is complete, Kodiak will launch driverless operations on Interstate 45 between Dallas and Houston. Kodiak’s safety case is a structured argument, supported by evidence, that the Kodiak Driver, the company’s autonomous driving system, can operate safely in a defined operating environment.

Kodiak’s ARM measures the percentage of claims and evidence in Kodiak’s safety case for driverless operations that are materially complete. The increase to 99% reflects accelerated progress in the testing and validation activities required to launch the Kodiak Driver into long-haul driverless service, and operate that service safely and consistently with its commercial partners.

“Our momentum is compounding as we conduct our final preparations ahead of launching driverless long-haul service,” said Don Burnette, Founder and CEO, Kodiak. “October represents continued great progress for closing safety case claims. We’ve identified and scheduled the remaining engineering verification and validation milestones needed. This is the home stretch.”

Kodiak’s launch is not a one-time milestone. The close of our safety case will support ongoing, repeatable and reliable driverless highway service for our customers, including our shipper launch partner IKEA.

Kodiak plans to launch driverless highway service on behalf of IKEA on an initial 219-mile route.

Kodiak’s long-haul safety case builds on the industrial safety case the company completed for its deployment in the Permian Basin, where, as of the end of the second quarter of 2026, the company had deployed its technology in 35 driverless trucks with no humans in the cab. These trucks are owned and operated by Kodiak’s customer, Atlas Energy Solutions in a fleet that is the largest of its kind in the world. This deployment has demonstrated the company’s unmatched operational expertise in commercial driverless trucking.

“As we finalize our deployment plan, our safety case is nearly complete, and it reflects a deliberate effort to account for safety risks across engineering, operations, and every other area that touches on operating with no one in the cab,” said Frank Fratrik, Director of Safety, Kodiak. “Each claim closes on evidence, and that evidence is nearly there. October’s progress came from using our quantitative Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) methodology to account for the behavioral risk of the autonomy system, while using our BreakPoint simulation tool to examine the autonomy system’s robustness, and from maturing the operating scope and procedures for unsupervised autonomous runs on the I-45 corridor.”

Kodiak used its groundbreaking new AI tool, BreakPoint, to fuel its continued progress over the past 4 months. BreakPoint adversarially searches for edge-case scenarios in simulation that would take years for the Kodiak Driver to encounter in real-world driving. Kodiak utilized BreakPoint specifically to assure the autonomy system’s robustness along the I-45 corridor. BreakPoint’s results are fed into Kodiak’s quantitative Probabilistic Risk Assessment, a method used to account for the behavioral risk of the autonomy system in mathematical terms.
