New collaboration combines Zscaler Autonomous Application Shield with Lightwell from IBM and Red Hat to help organizations reduce exposure between vulnerability disclosure and patch deployment through inline protection and validated remediation

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Zscaler, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZS), the cybersecurity platform for the AI era, today announced a collaboration with IBM and Red Hat to help organizations protect private applications during the period between vulnerability disclosure and patch deployment. The collaboration combines Zscaler Autonomous Application Shield, delivered through the Zscaler Zero Trust ExchangeTM security platform, with Lightwell from IBM and Red Hat to deliver adaptive, application-specific protection with validated software remediation in a single coordinated response.

The economics of exploitation have shifted. Capabilities that once required elite skills and weeks of manual effort are now widely available, and attackers are weaponizing newly disclosed vulnerabilities faster than enterprise patch cycles can respond. According to Mandiant’s M-Trends 2026 report, the mean time to exploit a vulnerability has fallen below zero, meaning vulnerabilities are increasingly exploited before a public patch exists. Patching remains necessary, but on its own it can no longer keep pace. Organizations need protection that can be applied at machine speed while remediation is prepared and deployed.

This collaboration extends Zscaler’s protection-first operating model for private applications, which assumes a remediation window will always exist and builds resilience around it: hide applications with Zscaler Private AccessTM (ZPATM) so they are harder to discover and target, segment access with Autonomous User-to-App Segmentation so a foothold does not become broad reachability, and shield reachable applications with Autonomous Application Shield so exploit attempts are stopped inline while the root cause is fixed. By uniting Zscaler Autonomous App Shield with Lightwell, the collaboration provides customers a coordinated path from immediate protection to durable fix.

Operating through the Zero Trust Exchange, Zscaler App Connectors continuously perform safe assessments of each private application’s exposure points and vulnerabilities. The Zscaler cloud individually evaluates each application, ensuring only necessary protections are applied. When a new vulnerability emerges, adaptive protections can be applied inline and in real time, without waiting for a patch. Through this collaboration, Lightwell helps Zscaler defend its customers from potential cyber threats, with Zscaler blocking exploit attempts immediately at the network level. Lightwell then provides validated remediations for affected open source software, enabling customers to fix the underlying flaw at the source.

“As attackers weaponize newly disclosed vulnerabilities faster than enterprises can respond, organizations need a way to protect private applications immediately while fixes are being prepared and deployed,” said Joby Menon, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Zscaler. “Our collaboration with IBM and Red Hat brings together inline, application-specific protection and validated remediation to help customers reduce risk during that gap.”

Through this collaboration, Zscaler, IBM, and Red Hat will deliver integrated capabilities across the application security lifecycle, addressing critical needs including:

  • Exposure Discovery: Providing a current understanding of a private application’s actual risk profile, updated as fast as applications change, rather than relying on periodic scans.
  • Preemptive, Application-Specific Protection: Bridging the gap between vulnerability and patching. Applying only the protections a given application needs during the gap between disclosure and patching, reducing exposure while remediation is underway and avoiding one-size-fits-all policy noise.
  • Machine-Speed Response: Deploying protections inline and in real time when a new vulnerability emerges, informed by global threat intelligence from across Zscaler’s worldwide customer base.
  • Validated Source-Level Remediation: Delivering tested software fixes through Lightwell so organizations can resolve the underlying vulnerability, with advisory and deployment support to prioritize and validate protections across complex environments.

“AI is shrinking the window between vulnerability discovery and vulnerability exploitation. A window that was months or weeks is now hours and minutes,” said Gunnar Hellekson, vice president and general manager, Lightwell, Red Hat. “Lightwell helps keep open source safe by patching and fixing these vulnerabilities at machine speed. Collaborating with partners like Zscaler brings Lightwell’s capabilities to the forefront of enterprise networks, mitigating potential vulnerabilities head-on while patches are applied to critical systems.”

Autonomous Application Shield is currently available through an Early Access Program. Availability, capabilities, and timing of the collaboration described herein are subject to change.

AssureChain, a dedicated subnet of MindChain, will run every insurance function on-chain, while MindChain provides settlement and anchoring to Ethereum

MATAWAN, N.J., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — via IBN – MindWave Innovations Inc. USA (“MindWave”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Apimeds Pharmaceuticals US, Inc. (NYSE American: APUS), has signed a 2-year master maintenance and service agreement with Delaware-based BlockAssure Inc. (“BlockAssure”) to build, deploy and operate AssureChain, a dedicated subnet of MindChain that will run BlockAssure’s insurance and reinsurance operations on-chain.

For MindWave, this is an important expansion of its U.S. business. It takes the company’s technology work into insurance and reinsurance, and it is a long-term build-and-operate contract with a U.S. client.

“BlockAssure chose us to build AssureChain, and it is exactly the kind of work we want to do for U.S. clients,” said Dr. Vin Menon, Chief Executive Officer of MindWave Innovations Inc. USA.

MindWave will design, develop, security-audit and deploy AssureChain, then host, operate and maintain it once it goes live. All of BlockAssure’s insurance work will happen on AssureChain: contracts, policies, premium and payment entries, reinsurance treaties and claims processing, from the start of a policy to the settlement of a claim. MindChain’s job is narrower – It provides the settlement layer and anchors AssureChain’s records to Ethereum.

MindWave will earn contracted development fees, payable in quarterly installments, with later operating and maintenance fees to be agreed. The agreement also provides for an allocation to MindWave equal to 20% of the total supply of AssureCoin, a digital token BlockAssure plans to create within the MindChain network, delivered when the token is created. The allocation is fully vested on delivery, and anti-dilution terms maintain MindWave’s 20% share if additional AssureCoin is issued during the term or for two years afterward.

The aim is straightforward: BlockAssure handles the market relationships, and MindWave builds and runs the network underneath them. Contracts, policies, payments, treaties and claims all run on AssureChain. Because it settles through MindChain and anchors to Ethereum, you can follow any claim from the policy that created it to the recovery that closes it outFor the length of the agreement, MindWave is BlockAssure’s exclusive blockchain provider for AssureChain.

The two companies have divided the work along clear lines. BlockAssure will lead underwriting and claims decisions, licensing, and its relationships with insurers, reinsurers and brokers. MindWave supplies the infrastructure and the technical services needed to run AssureChain. It acts only as the technology provider.

AssureChain is made up of four modules and a data oracle: insurance contracts; policy issuance and lifecycle management, including premium and payment entries; reinsurance treaties and facultative placements; and claims processing from notification through assessment, settlement and reinsurance recovery. The oracle feeds verified parametric, environmental, catastrophe, market and identity data onto AssureChain, which lets a parametric claim trigger automatically once a pre-agreed threshold is met.

Each claim on AssureChain can be traced back to the policy, contract and treaty it came from, and MindChain anchors those records to Ethereum. BlockAssure and its counterparties therefore work from one verifiable record, from placement to settlement. Each module will be independently security-audited before production, and personal data will not be written on-chain except in hashed or tokenized form.

The agreement took effect on Oct. 4, 2026. Development is planned over four quarters against agreed milestones, and BlockAssure will acceptance-test each module. Once the first module is accepted, MindWave takes on hosting, validator operations, maintenance, security patches and helpdesk support.

After the initial 2-year term, the agreement renews automatically for one-year periods unless either party gives 90 days’ notice.

About PDAOAI and Pet2DAO

PDAOAI is an AI-powered drug discovery platform developed by Oncotelic Therapeutics, Inc. (OTCQB: OTLC). Oncotelic and its wholly owned subsidiary, Pet2DAO, Inc., support the BIO REBOOT collaboration initiative. Built on a current index of 29 million PubMed abstracts, PDAOAI maps biomedical literature into a high-dimensional vector space and applies mathematical algorithms to uncover relationships across genes, pathways and diseases. Its Partitioned Literature Aggregation (PLA) method analyzes disease-specific literature groups separately before combining the findings, helping limit the influence of differences in publication volume. By connecting evidence scattered across decades of research, PDAOAI surfaces candidate drug targets and testable hypotheses for drug discovery, repurposing and therapeutic development, with evidence traceable to source publications. Field crews demobilizing following completion of geological mapping, prospecting and soil and rock sampling

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Northern Discovery Metals Inc. (CSE: NOR) (FSE: M1V0) (“Northern Discovery” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Stage 1 fieldwork at the Vent Copper Project (“Vent” or the “Project”) is complete and field crews are demobilizing. The Project is located in the Alberni Mining Division on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where the Company holds an option to acquire up to a 100% interest.

The program was carried out by Geomap Exploration Inc. and included geological mapping, prospecting, and soil and rock sampling. Building on the progress reported in the Company’s September 22, 2026 news release, the work was designed to improve the geological understanding of priority areas and assess the relationships between geochemical responses, geological contacts, structures, alteration and veining.

“With the fieldwork complete, our focus turns to evaluating the results and determining where to concentrate further exploration,” said Jared Suchan, Ph.D., P.Geo., Chief Executive Officer of Northern Discovery Metals. “Bringing the new mapping and sampling together with our existing geophysical information will help us assess which areas warrant more detailed investigation and what work is needed to advance them.”

The Company plans to integrate the field observations and laboratory results, following review and validation, with its existing geological, geochemical and airborne magnetic and VLF-EM datasets. This work will support refinement of the geological model and the ranking of areas for follow-up. Depending on the results, subsequent exploration may include focused induced polarization surveys or other ground geophysical work. The scope and timing of further fieldwork will be determined after evaluation of the Stage 1 results. No analytical results from the program are reported in this release. The Company intends to provide a further update following receipt and review of the results.

(“Cannara”, the “Company”, “us” or “we”) (TSX: LOVE) (OTCQX: LOVFF) (FRA: 8CB0), a vertically integrated producer of premium-grade cannabis products at affordable prices with two mega facilities in Québec spanning over 1,600,000 sq. ft., is pleased to announce an expansion of its long-term international supply agreement (the “Agreement”) with Curaleaf International Limited (“Curaleaf”), previously announced on July 14, 2026. If fully realized, the amended Agreement has a potential aggregate contract value of approximately C$34 million over its two-year term, compared with up to C$21 million under the original Agreement, based on committed supply volumes and the terms and conditions of the Agreement. The expanded relationship builds on Cannara’s first long-term international supply commitment and provides an opportunity to grow international sales through Curaleaf’s established distribution network while continuing to support the Company’s Canadian growth strategy.

“The expansion of our agreement reflects the strong relationship we are building with Curaleaf and the quality of the cannabis we have supplied from our Valleyfield facility,” said Zohar Krivorot, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cannara. “We see a meaningful opportunity to grow together as partners, supplying Québec-grown cannabis to international medical markets while continuing to execute our growth strategy here in Canada.”

“This expanded agreement demonstrates our ability to grow within the cultivation infrastructure we already own at Valleyfield, where we now have 15 of our 24 grow rooms active,” said Niko Sosiak, Chief Operating Officer of Cannara. “With a fully funded build-out plan, our remaining capacity gives us a clear runway to scale production as demand grows, while maintaining consistent quality and the cost discipline that support our growth in Canada and internationally.”

Curaleaf also continues to support Cannara’s pursuit of EU-GMP certification for its processing center at Valleyfield. In the interim, cannabis flower supplied under the Agreement will be dried and processed under EU-GMP conditions at Curaleaf’s EU-GMP certified facility in Canada before release into international medical markets.
