Toronto, Oct. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Plato Gold Corp. (TSX-V: PGC) (OTCQB: NIOVF) (Frankfurt: 4Y7 or WKN: A0M2QX) (“Plato” or the “Company”) announces that it has closed an initial tranche of its previously announced non-brokered critical-mineral flow-through private placement (the “Offering”). The Company issued, effective September 29, 2026, 1,100,000 flow-through common shares (the “FT Shares”) at $0.05 per FT Share for gross proceeds of $55,000. No warrants were issued. The Offering was announced on September 9, 2026 for aggregate gross proceeds of up to $150,000 and may be completed in one or more additional closings.

Each FT Share is intended to qualify as a “flow-through share” within the meaning of the Income Tax Act (Canada) (the “Tax Act”). The Company intends to use the gross proceeds of the Offering to incur eligible “Canadian exploration expenses” that qualify as “flow-through critical mineral mining expenditures,” as those terms are defined in the Tax Act, in connection with exploration activities at the Company’s Pic River Platinum Group Metals Project near Marathon, Ontario. The Company intends to incur these expenditures on or before December 31, 2026 and to renounce them to subscribers with an effective date no later than December 31, 2026 under the general renunciation rule.

The FT Shares issued under this initial closing are subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day and may not be traded before January 30, 2027, except as permitted under applicable securities legislation. The TSX Venture Exchange (the “Exchange”) has conditionally accepted the Offering; final acceptance remains pending.

No finder’s fee or commission was paid in connection with this initial closing.

Insider Participation and MI 61-101

Anthony Cohen, President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company, subscribed personally for 600,000 FT Shares for $30,000.

Following the issuance, Mr. Cohen beneficially owns, or exercises control or direction over, 57,738,311 common shares, representing approximately 24.91% of the 231,765,717 common shares outstanding, before giving effect to options to acquire an additional 3,500,000 common shares. Mr. Cohen was already a Control Person of the Company prior to the Offering.

Mr. Cohen’s subscription constitutes a “related party transaction” within the meaning of Multilateral Instrument 61-101 – Protection of Minority Security Holders in Special Transactions (“MI 61-101”). The Company is relying on the exemptions from the formal valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements in sections 5.5(a) and 5.7(1)(a) of MI 61-101, respectively, because neither the fair market value of the FT Shares issued to Mr. Cohen nor the consideration paid by him exceeds 25% of the Company’s market capitalization, calculated in accordance with MI 61-101.

Mr. Cohen disclosed the nature and extent of his interest in the Offering, withdrew from the meeting for the entirety of the Board’s discussion and vote on his participation, and did not vote on the matter. The disinterested directors approved his participation on the same material terms as the other subscriber in this tranche.
This news release does not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any securities in the United States. TORONTO, Oct. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — McFarlane Lake Mining Limited (“McFarlane” or the “Company”) (CSE: MLM, OTC: MLMLF), a Canadian gold exploration and development company, is pleased to announce the filing of an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (“MRE”) for its Juby Gold project (“Juby”) located in the prolific Abitibi Belt in Ontario, Canada. The Technical Report, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101, is now available under the Company’s issuer profile on SEDAR+ and on its website.

“The filing of the updated MRE Technical Report is an important milestone in the development of the Juby Gold Project and for McFarlane Lake,” said Mark Trevisiol, CEO and Chairman of McFarlane Lake Mining. “This independent NI 43-101 report reinforces the scale, quality, and growth potential of Juby and provides external validation of what we believe is a highly strategic gold asset in one of Ontario’s most prolific mining regions. Investors can now see a clear, significant and independently verified increase in gold ounces over the prior MRE with an effective date of September 29, 2025, supporting our goal of growing this resource by another 60%.”

Recently, McFarlane was granted an extension of its drilling permit to December 2029. This permit encompasses the main exploration target areas of Golden Lake, Juby and Juby East, 826 Zone as well as Hydro Creek and Big Dome deposit areas. McFarlane selected Bagone’an Drilling Contractor to perform some of its drilling on the property. This contractor is a First Nation (Atikameksheng Anishnawbek First Nation, ‘AAFN’) partnership with JS Drilling of Sudbury, AAFN is one of three first nations having territorial rights on the property. The two drills being supplied by Bagone’an will add to the current drill on the property such that by the end of October three drills will be operating on the property.

Table 1 below provides more details on the MRE within the pit shell and underground components of the resource.

Note 1: Mineral Resource Statement Notes

  1. CIM definition standards were followed for the resource estimate.
  2. This Mineral Resource has an effective date of August 15, 2026.
  3. The 2025 resource models used ordinary kriging (OK) grade estimation within a three-dimensional block model with mineralized domains defined by wireframe solids.
  4. Mineral resources are constrained within pit shells (OP) and Underground Shapes (UG).
  5. Open pit cut-off of 0.25 g/t Au milled is based on the cost/tonne ($USD/t) milled for incremental mining, processing, and G&A.
  6. Underground cut-off of 1.60 g/t Au milled is based on the cost/tonne ($USD/t) milled for incremental mining, processing, and G&A.
  7. The 0.25 g/t Au cut-off for OP and the 1.60 g/t Au cut-off for UG used for reporting is based on the following:
    1. Long-term Gold price of US$3,600/oz.
    2. Metallurgical recoveries are based on metallurgical testing recovery of 92%.
    3. Average Bulk density (specific gravity) was determined for each lithology and/or mineralized domain within the deposit.
    4. Processing costs of USD$11.00/t, G&A costs of USD$4.00/t, and Tailings Fee of USD$2.00/t milled, U/G mining cost of USD$110/t, Open Pit mining cost USD$4.5/t
    5. Dilution of 5% for OP, and 10% for UG.
    6. Overall Pit Slope angle of 50 degrees.
    7. Mineral Resources that are not mineral reserves do not have economic viability. Numbers may not add due to rounding.
    8. The resource estimate was prepared by Todd McCracken, P.Geo., of BBA E&C Inc. in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.

While finalizing the Technical Report, the independent Qualified Person determined that a small portion of the mineral resource disclosed in the Company’s news release of August 17, 2026 required reclassification because the open pit at Hydro Creek open-pit shell extended beyond the claim boundary. Although no gold ounces were located outside the claim boundary, correcting the pit geometry changed the resource attribution. The Qualified Person reviewed the attribution, and approved the corrected figures presented herein, which have been reviewed and approved by the Qualified Person and are reflected in the Technical Report. The resulting net effect is a change of less than 0.6% from the previously announced estimate. The amendment does not materially affect the geological interpretation, estimation methodology, cut-off grades, or other key assumptions behind the estimate, and it does not affect the Company’s exploration plans for Juby. The mineral resource figures in this news release and the Technical Report supersede and replace the corresponding figures in the August 17, 2026 news release.

About the Preparation of the Mineral Resource Estimate and Technical Report

The Mineral Resource Estimate for the Juby Gold Project was independently prepared by Todd McCracken, P.Geo., of BBA E&C Inc., a highly respected Canadian engineering and consulting firm with extensive experience in resource estimation, project evaluation, and NI 43-101 compliance. The work was completed primarily by senior technical staff from BBA’s Sudbury, Ontario office.

The MRE has been classified and reported in accordance with the CIM Definition Standards (2014) and prepared following the CIM Estimation of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Best Practice Guidelines (2019). The estimate incorporates a comprehensive review of historical and modern geological information, including drill logs, assays, geological modelling, and spatial interpretation of the mineralized zones.

The accompanying NI 43-101 Technical Report, now filed on SEDAR+, provides full details of the methodology, data verification, estimation parameters, and geological context underpinning the resource. The independent nature of this work provides third-party validation of the scale and quality of the Juby deposit, marking a significant milestone for McFarlane Lake Mining as it advances the project toward its next phase of exploration and development.

Cautionary Statement on Mineral Resources

This news release uses the terms indicated and inferred mineral resources as a relative measure of the level of confidence in the resource estimate. Readers are cautioned that mineral resources are not mineral reserves and that the economic viability of resources that are not mineral reserves has not been demonstrated. The mineral resource estimates disclosed in this news release may be materially affected by geology, environmental, permitting, legal, title, socio-political, marketing or other relevant issues. (“NBM” or the “Offeror”), announced today that it has terminated its previously announced offer to purchase for cash from each registered holder (each, a “Holder” and, collectively, the “Holders”) any and all of the outstanding 6.625% Senior Notes due 2029 (CUSIP Nos. 62877V AB7; U63768 AB8 / ISIN Nos. The Offer was conditioned upon, among other things, the consummation or closing of an offering of one or more issuances of debt securities by MARB BondCo PLC, to be guaranteed by MBRF and the other guarantors thereto, on terms satisfactory to NBM (the “Debt Offering”), in its sole discretion, generating net proceeds in an amount of not less than the maximum aggregate amount to be paid for the Consideration (as defined in the Offer to Purchase) for the Notes tendered and accepted for purchase pursuant to the Offer, plus Accrued Interest from the last interest payment date to, but excluding, the Settlement Date and any applicable additional amounts payable in respect of the Notes (the “Financing Condition”). • The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has informed Novo that the BLA review of denecimig for the treatment of haemophilia A is still ongoing. The FDA has not communicated a new timeline for regulatory action on the BLA

  • Novo is actively working with the FDA, addressing the Agency’s requests for remediations related to the manufacturing facility. The extended FDA review time for the denecimig BLA has no impact on Novo’s financial outlook for 2026 and pending regulatory decision, Novo aims to launch denecimig in the US in the first half of 2027

Bagsværd, Denmark, 02 October 2026 – Novo Nordisk today announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has informed Novo that the BLA review of denecimig for the treatment of haemophilia A, with or without inhibitors in adults and children, is still ongoing. The FDA has not communicated a new timeline for expected regulatory action on the BLA.

Novo submitted a BLA for denecimig for the treatment of haemophilia A in adult and paediatric patients to the US FDA for review in September 2025, with an anticipated regulatory decision in the third quarter of 2026. Following this submission, the FDA performed a pre-license inspection of the manufacturing site and provided feedback. Today, the FDA has informed Novo that the ongoing facility remediation activities are the cause for extension of the Agency’s review.

“Haemophilia A patients should expect more from their standard of care,” said Mike Doustdar, president and CEO of Novo. “As Novo prepares to bring denecimig to market, our ambition is to help make better care something they can count on. Novo is already in the process of addressing the FDA’s requests as efficiently as possible and continuing to work closely with the Agency toward bringing denecimig to patients in the US.”

The Agency has not identified deficiencies related to the clinical efficacy or safety data of denecimig demonstrated in the FRONTIER clinical trial programme. Novo is continuing implementation of the facility remediation activities in response to the FDA’s feedback and is working closely with the Agency to address the outstanding requirements. The feedback on the manufacturing site does not impact other marketed Novo products.

The additional FDA review time does not have an impact on Novo’s financial outlook for 2026. Pending regulatory decision, Novo aims to launch denecimig in the US in the first half of 2027.

About the FRONTIER trials
The FRONTIER clinical programme includes FRONTIER1-5 and investigates denecimig as a prophylactic treatment to prevent bleeding episodes across paediatric and adult populations with haemophilia A, with or without inhibitors.

FRONTIER2, FRONTIER3 and FRONTIER4 formed the basis of the denecimig Marketing Authorisation Application (MAA) submission. FRONTIER2 evaluated denecimig treatment once every month and once every week in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older; FRONTIER3 evaluated denecimig treatment once every month and once every week in children below the age of 12; FRONTIER4 was an open-label extension trial evaluating the efficacy of denecimig once every two weeks (Q2W) as well as investigating the long-term safety of denecimig across all dosing regimens (once every month, once every two weeks, and once every week) in subjects with haemophilia A, with or without inhibitors.

About denecimig
Denecimig is a FVIIIa mimetic bispecific antibody designed with the aim to deliver once monthly, every two weeks and weekly prophylaxis for people living with haemophilia A, with or without inhibitors. Denecimig, which is administered under the skin, ‘mimics’ the role of FVIIIa by bridging factor IXa and factor X. This action mimics the cofactor function of FVIIIa, which helps restore the body’s thrombin generation capacity, helping blood to clot. On 17 September, denecimig received a positive CHMP opinion and is currently pending marketing approval from the EMA and under review by other regulatory authorities.
