The company introduces a suite of AI products to close the conversation gap across Zoom Workplace, customer experience, developer tools, and events

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today at its annual Zoomtopia customer conference, Zoom Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZM), a leading AI-first platform for human connection, introduced a new Unified Context Layer and several new products with AI-powered capabilities. The new offerings are designed to help businesses transform rich meeting context into meaningful deliverables that help accelerate work outcomes.

Business conversations drive critical decisions and build customer history every day. A customer interaction might start in a meeting, continue by phone, and carry on in chat threads. But when that context is scattered across applications, people and AI agents lose the thread and teams spend significant time piecing together what happened, when it happened, and what they should do about it.

Zoom’s new Unified Context Layer helps close that gap by linking conversation history with relevant documents and data. Together, these sources give people and AI agents a fuller picture of the work and what needs to happen next.

This new layer brings together conversations with near real-time activity across Zoom and connected third-party applications, giving people and AI agents access to business context that might otherwise be lost or siloed. Configurable settings and controls help manage access, while coordination among AI agents turns business context into actionable insights.

Zoom is increasingly becoming a system of action as organizations, large and small, put the company’s AI tools to work at scale.

Zoom Virtual Agent customer count has surged by 256%1, and users who leverage Zoom’s various AI tools report completing tasks twice as fast, with 72% citing high or extremely high business impact, compared with a market average of 63%2. Zoom is expecting to surpass $5 billion in annual revenue this year.

With a growing enterprise footprint across industries from healthcare to financial services, retail, and education, the company is advancing its vision for workplace productivity, one where the line between conversation and execution shrinks.

“AI models are only as powerful as their understanding of your business, and that context makes all the difference,” said Eric Yuan, founder and CEO of Zoom. “Fragmented product experiences isolate conversations, stall decisions, and drag businesses down. Today, with the Unified Context Layer, we’re laying the groundwork for a system of action designed to turn conversations into completed work.”

“Our teams have the information they need, but it’s often dispersed across meetings, notes, and different systems,” said Christine Sarros, senior vice president of Enterprise Engineering, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “Zoom’s new solutions could help bring that context together, so teams can enter customer conversations with a clearer understanding of what’s been discussed, what’s been decided, and what needs to happen next. We see an opportunity to spend less time reconstructing history and more time helping our customers move forward.”

At Zoomtopia, Zoom is bringing this vision to life with innovations across collaboration, AI, customer experience, and events. The announcements below show how it all connects business context to the tools and workflows people actually use to get work done.

  • Voice Translator: “Translate Me” enables a speaker to translate their audio for all participants using a synthesized version of their own voice, designed to preserve a natural feel. (Expected October 2026.)
  • Pose Correction: Subtly adjusts a user’s video when they glance away from the camera, helping maintain a camera-forward appearance. (Expected December 2026.)
  • Touch up my Voice: Users can use this feature to alter their own voice with real-time accent smoothing so speakers come through more clearly and naturally. (Expected December 2026.)
  • High-quality screen sharing: Enhanced media support for 60 frames per second screen sharing. (Available now.)
  • Live Meeting AI Agent: Proactive meeting assistance that helps find answers, keep meetings on track, and nudge engagement. (Expected Q1 2027.)

Zoom Virtual Agent for kiosk

Carry customer history from one interaction to the next

Customer service breaks down when customers have to constantly repeat themselves, and agents have to reconstruct past interactions Zoom CX extends shared customer context across a variety of channels, including live and AI agents, providing a broader view of the past and present to help inform future outcomes. Highlights include:

  • Customer Profiles: Brings dynamic customer profiles into Zoom CX with real-time context across channels and interactions. (Expected November 2026.)

Zoom is adding new management controls that enable administrators to manage AI activity across the account while supporting customers’ existing guardrails and data-classification policies. Highlights include:

  • Centralized AI Management: Provides administrators with greater control over how AI features are configured and used across the organization. (Expected December 2026.)
  • Sensitivity Labels: Seamlessly sync with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels or create native labels in Zoom, then automatically enforce policies based on the sensitivity of meetings and content. (Available now for select Zoom Workplace customers.)
  • AI Guardrails: Set account-level rules governing what AI can generate or use in its responses. (Expected Q1 2027.)
  • Deepfake Risk Detection: Introduce deepfake risk detection tools designed to help flag potential synthetic media across hiring, customer experience, and meeting scenarios. (Expected December 2026.)
  • Zoom Compliance Manager support for My Notes and Zoom Canvas: Archives and monitors AI-generated summaries, notes, and documents to help address organization’s own retention and supervision requirements3. (Expected January 2027.)

Extend the business value of events beyond the closing session

Most of what happens at a live event disappears the moment it ends. Zoom Events now brings powerful AI functionality to event planning, content creation, and analytics. These capabilities help reduce the amount of heavy setup work involved and extend the value of event content long after sessions end. Highlights include:

  • Content Studio: Turn one recording into a multi-language, multi-format asset library. (Expected October 2026.)
  • Agentic Event Setup: Use AI to help configure event details, from sessions to registration, before launch. (Expected November 2026.)
  • AI Analytics for Events: Query event data in plain language, score engagement, and generate shareable reports, cutting post-event analysis time significantly. (Available now.)

Taken together, today’s launches represent a significant step for Zoom toward becoming a system of action for modern work by connecting conversations to the work that follows, across roles and industries. For more information on announcements from Zoomtopia 2026, visit the Zoom newsroom.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Monument Mining Limited (“Monument” or the “Company”) provides an update regarding the Tuckanarra Gold Project joint venture in Western Australia between Monument’s wholly owned subsidiary, Monument Murchison Pty Ltd (“Monument Murchison”), holding a 20% participating interest, and Tuckanarra Resources Pty Ltd (“Tuckanarra”), a subsidiary of Odyssey Gold Ltd (“Odyssey”), holding an 80% participating interest.

Court Proceedings

Tuckanarra Resources Pty Ltd (“Tuckanarra”) has commenced proceedings in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and applied for an interlocutory injunction to prevent Monument Murchison Pty Ltd (“Monument Murchison”) from holding the Management Committee meeting scheduled for October 21, 2026. Monument Murchison called that meeting for the purpose of appointing a Replacement Manager following its position that Tuckanarra ceased to be Manager under the Exploration Joint Venture Agreement (“EJVA”). The application also seeks to restrain certain related steps in reliance on Monument Murchison’s August 25, 2026 notice of breach.

The parties have agreed interim arrangements and an expedited timetable for resolution of the dispute. The outcome and terms of any court orders remain subject to determination.

Monument Murchison maintains that Tuckanarra ceased to be Manager under clause 5.1(b)(ii) of the EJVA. Any interim arrangements in place are without any admission concerning the validity of Tuckanarra’s removal as Manager. Monument Murchison reserves its rights under the EJVA.

Joint Venture Dispute

As previously disclosed, Monument Murchison issued a notice of breach to Tuckanarra on August 25, 2026 under the EJVA dated October 13, 2020, concerning Tuckanarra’s entry into a toll milling agreement with a third party.

Monument Murchison maintains that the material breach was not remedied within the contractual period and that Tuckanarra ceased to be Manager of the joint venture effective September 25, 2026 pursuant to clause 5.1(b)(ii) of the EJVA.

Tuckanarra disputes Monument Murchison’s position regarding the breach and removal.

Monument’s Position

Monument remains committed to the orderly advancement of the Tuckanarra Gold Project in accordance with the EJVA and the respective rights and obligations of the joint venture participants.

Monument supports the evaluation of commercially viable development and processing arrangements, including third-party toll milling, provided that such arrangements are appropriately authorised and protect the rights of both joint venture participants.

Monument intends to continue engaging constructively in the dispute resolution process while preserving its rights under the EJVA.

The Company will provide further updates as material developments occur.

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Morien Resources Corp. (“Morien” or the “Company“) (TSX-V:MOX) is pleased to announce that the Initial Project Description (“IPD”) for the Lazy Head Marine Terminal, the marine export component of the Lazy Head Aggregate Project (“Lazy Head” or the “Project”), has been submitted to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (“IAAC”). Carver Mineral Resources, Inc. (“Carver”), a subsidiary of Carver Companies, is the proponent of the Project. Morien originated Lazy Head and is advancing it through planning, engagement and permitting as Carver’s agent, on the terms described below.

The IPD filing marks the entry of Lazy Head into formal regulatory review. It follows more than a year of technical due diligence, environmental baseline and engineering studies, and engagement with Rightsholders, stakeholders and regulators. Under the partnership agreement, Carver will provide the capital, the U.S. port network and the operating expertise to construct and operate the Project. Morien is responsible for advancing the Project through planning, engagement and permitting, with all associated costs reimbursed by Carver, and will receive a milestone payment upon successful permitting and an industry-competitive production royalty over the 85-year operating life of the Project.

Regulatory Process

The IPD is the first step in the federal review process under the Impact Assessment Act. IAAC will post a summary of the IPD on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry and invite comment from the public and Indigenous groups, following which IAAC will confirm the scope of federal review that applies to the Project.

Subject to regulatory approvals, Carver anticipates a construction period of approximately 18 to 24 months, with first shipments to follow.

Separately, a Nova Scotia Environmental Assessment Registration Document (“EARD”) for the Project will be filed shortly with Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change, commencing the provincial environmental assessment process under the Environment Act.

The IPD will be available on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry, and the EARD on the Nova Scotia Environmental Assessment website once filed. Both documents will also be posted on the Project website at www.lazyhead.ca.

Permitting Reform

Lazy Head enters review as both levels of government move to shorten approval timelines for major projects.

Federally, Bill C-39, the Building Canada Strong Act, is advancing through Parliament. It would put in place “one project, one decision, in one year”: federal assessments, permits and Crown consultation would run at the same time and lead to a single decision within one year of a complete application. It would also require regulators to consider whether conditions on Fisheries Act and Canadian Navigable Waters Act authorizations are practical and economic. Both Acts apply to the Lazy Head Marine Terminal.

Provincially, Nova Scotia’s Making Business Easier Act, passed in fall 2025, significantly streamlined permitting for the natural resource sector by introducing a single-window service to coordinate multi-departmental approvals for mining and aggregate projects.

The Lazy Head filings have been structured to align with these reforms and the appropriate federal and provincial regulatory processes. The federal IPD is confined to the marine terminal, while the quarry and processing plant will be assessed provincially through the EARD. Project effects within federal jurisdiction will be addressed through robust federal regulatory review and permitting processes.

Project Overview

Lazy Head is a proposed granite aggregate quarry and marine terminal on Chedabucto Bay in the Municipality of the District of Guysborough (“MODG”), approximately 5.5 kilometres west of Canso, Nova Scotia. The overall project comprises an open pit quarry, a processing plant, and a marine terminal designed to load bulk carriers of up to 48,000 deadweight tonnes.

The quarry is designed for production of up to 3.4 million tonnes per year from a granite resource that supports an operating life of approximately 85 years. Aggregate will be exported to U.S. East Coast and Gulf Coast construction markets and to offshore wind developments along the eastern seaboard of North America.

Lazy Head is located within direct shipping range of each of the offshore Wind Energy Areas designated under Nova Scotia’s Wind West initiative, positioning the Project to supply the scour protection and foundation rock those developments will require.

Mitigation Design Measures

The Project design includes several measures to limit its terrestrial and marine footprint and its effects on neighbouring communities. To reduce its marine footprint and its effect on the local fishery, the marine terminal was shortened from 420 to 270 metres offshore, reducing its design vessel class from 60,000 to 48,000 deadweight tonnes. The terminal design also requires no in-water blasting. On land, the primary, secondary and tertiary crushers, screens and transfer points will all be housed in enclosed buildings to contain noise, dust and light. Enclosing the full crushing circuit is believed to be a first for a quarry in North America.

Economic Benefits

Carver estimates initial capital expenditures of approximately $284 million over an 18 to 24-month construction period, with total Project expenditures of approximately $3.2 billion over the life of the quarry, including approximately $34 million per year in operating expenditures and sustaining capital at full production. The Project is expected to employ approximately 75 people directly, with priority given to residents of the Guysborough region.

A third-party economic benefits assessment estimates a total contribution of $2.3 billion to Nova Scotia’s gross domestic product over the life of the Project, with the Guysborough region the largest beneficiary within the province at an estimated $1.2 billion (an annual average of $13 million).

In addition to the economic activity generated by the Project, Lazy Head will deliver direct community contributions to MODG over its life through a Community Benefits Agreement (“CBA”) being developed between Carver and MODG. The CBA formalizes a series of life-of-Project commitments by Carver toward community benefit, structured to ensure that communities near the Project share in its long-term success. Two life-of-Project community funds are central to the CBA:

  • The Community Development Fund: funded at a per-tonne rate on aggregate sold, will support community-led projects across MODG, with priority given to the nearby communities of Hazel Hill, Three Mile Lake, Tickle Road, and Fox Island Main. At full production, the Fund is expected to contribute approximately $340,000 annually.
  • The Community Wellness Fund: also funded at a per-tonne rate on aggregate sold, will support local sports, culture, recreation, and trails organizations across MODG. The Canso and Area Minor Hockey Association is designated as a committed recipient of a portion of the Fund for the first ten years of operation. At full production, the Fund is expected to contribute approximately $170,000 annually.

Together, the two funds are expected to contribute approximately $510,000 annually in direct community support at full production, with contributions scaling proportional to the production ramp-up in earlier years.

Additional CBA commitments include:

  • A pre-operations community fund established at the effective date of the CBA
  • Annual bursaries for graduating MODG high school students
  • Co-operative work placements during construction and operations
  • Local hiring and procurement commitments
  • Location of the Project’s administrative centre and operational employee training within MODG

Engagement

The IPD reflects engagement carried out since 2025 with federal, provincial and municipal regulators, the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia, the Guysborough County Inshore Fishermen’s Association, local stakeholders and residents. Engagement has also included two community open houses held in Hazel Hill in October 2025 and March 2026, and a door-to-door campaign in the nearby communities to introduce the Project and listen to feedback.

In June 2026, Carver and Morien executed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs that establishes a framework for negotiating a Mutual Benefits Agreement for the life of the Project. Carver has also been participating in the Sipekne’katik Governance Initiative since August 2025.

A Community Liaison Committee with representatives from the community, the MODG, Morien and Carver was established in July 2026.

Carver-Morien Partnership

Under the terms of the partnership agreement between Morien and Carver, Carver will construct and operate the Project, subject to receipt of all required permits. Morien will receive a milestone payment upon successful permitting of the Project and an industry-competitive production royalty on future aggregate sales. All of Morien’s time and expenses associated with advancing Lazy Head are reimbursed by Carver, consistent with Morien’s capital-efficient, partner-driven business model focused on building a diversified royalty portfolio.

About Carver

Carver Companies is a privately held aggregate development company headquartered in Albany, New York, with construction, maritime and materials divisions. Carver owns and operates multiple port terminals along the U.S. East Coast and the Bayside Aggregate Quarry in New Brunswick. Carver Mineral Resources, Inc. will carry out the Project directly or through its wholly owned Nova Scotia subsidiary, which was incorporated in October 2025 to hold the permits and operate the facility.

Cergy, October 20, 2026 – SPIE (the “Company”), the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, announces the successful completion of the refinancing of its outstanding sustainability-linked bonds settled in cash and/or convertible into new shares and/or exchangeable for existing shares due January 2028 (FR001400F2K3) (the “ORNANEs 2028”).

On September 21, 2026, SPIE successfully placed a €500 million sustainability-linked bond with a 5.5-year maturity and a 4.875% coupon in a challenging debt environment. The proceeds of the new bond were used in particular to redeem the ORNANEs 2028. Following completion of the refinancing, SPIE’s liquidity exceeds €1.5 billion, providing ample financial flexibility to support future growth opportunities while maintaining a strong and disciplined financial profile.

Jérôme Vanhove, CFO of SPIE, said: “The successful placement of our €500 million sustainability-linked bond in a challenging debt environment reflects SPIE’s solid credit profile and continued access to debt capital markets. This enabled us to opportunistically complete the early redemption of our ORNANEs ahead of maturity. Together, these transactions further strengthen our balance sheet, extend our debt maturity profile and enhance our financial flexibility, providing a solid foundation to support SPIE’s long-term development.”

Detailed information on the redemption of the ORNANEs 2028

On January 17, 2023, the Company issued 4,000 ORNANEs 2028, each with a principal amount of 100,000 euros. Following (i) the exercise of the conversion/exchange rights attached to 126 ORNANEs 2028 in July and August 2026 which resulted in the issuance of 132,106 new Company shares and a cash payment of c.12 million euros and (ii) the repurchase in cash of 2,801 ORNANEs 2028 in the context of a tender offer conducted on September 22, 2026 for c.388 million euros (the “Repurchase”), 1,073 ORNANEs 2028 remained outstanding after the settlement of the Repurchase.

Following SPIE’s announcement to redeem early for cash the remaining ORNANEs 2028, all holders have decided to exercise their conversion/exchange right, which resulted in the issuance of 3,365,843 new Company shares.

As of the date of this press release, no ORNANE 2028 remains outstanding. The total dilution resulting from the issuance of new Company shares as a result of the conversion/exchange of ORNANEs 2028 amounts to 2.0% of the share capital.
