Vaisala Viewlinc Cloud Suite

Vaisala Viewlinc Cloud Suite and Care for Viewlinc enable professional-quality monitoring as critical operations evolve.
Vaisala Viewlinc Cloud Suite and Care for Viewlinc enable professional-quality monitoring as critical operations evolve.

Vaisala, a global leader in measurement instruments and intelligence, introduces Viewlinc Cloud Suite, a cloud-based environmental monitoring offering designed to help organizations establish professional-quality monitoring from day one and build on the same platform as their requirements evolve. The launch is complemented by Vaisala Care for Viewlinc, a lifecycle services offering available in selected markets.

Life science innovation often begins long before organizations establish large-scale or regulated operations. New therapies, diagnostics and technologies may start in a single laboratory or research environment, yet expectations for environmental control, data integrity and operational reliability are already high. As research progresses and operations expand, organizations face increasing demands for documentation, audit readiness and compliance.

Professional-quality monitoring from the start

Vaisala Viewlinc Cloud Suite is designed to help organizations establish environmental monitoring on a professional foundation.

Organizations can focus on their operations rather than maintaining monitoring infrastructure, while retaining real-time visibility into critical conditions. The cloud-based service eliminates the need for a local application server and reduces the associated IT workload.

The offering includes:

  • Viewlinc CS Professional Edition for industrial and commercial environments, including environmental monitoring in healthcare facilities, logistics, museums, archives, and research institutions, and condition monitoring applications for power infrastructure.
  • Viewlinc CS GxP Edition for regulated life science environments, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and medical device manufacturing.

The GxP Edition adds capabilities for GxP compliance, including continuous validation and GxP documentation, while the Professional Edition supports applications that require reliable monitoring without the same compliance and validation requirements.

Organizations can choose the edition that best fits their operational, monitoring and regulatory requirements, including whether their application operates in a GxP-regulated environment.

From laboratories to regulated operations

Life science innovations depend on trusted data and controlled environmental conditions, making reliable monitoring critical throughout the innovation journey.

“The next breakthrough therapy, diagnostic method or biotechnology innovation may begin in a single laboratory. Research taking place today in laboratories, startups and life science innovation hubs can ultimately lead to breakthroughs that transform healthcare and even save lives,” says Jarno Mitjonen, Manager, Software Products, Vaisala’s Industrial Measurements business.

“Those innovations depend on trusted data, controlled conditions and confidence in the environments where that work takes place. A single undetected equipment failure can put years of research at risk, delay a product launch or compromise valuable materials. Organizations need monitoring that protects critical assets and conditions from the start and continues supporting them as their work evolves.”

Confidence beyond the software

Viewlinc Cloud Suite combines trusted Vaisala measurement technology with a modern cloud-based user experience, bringing measurement instruments, monitoring data, and software together in one monitoring solution.

Alongside Viewlinc Cloud Suite, Vaisala is introducing Vaisala Care for Viewlinc, a new lifecycle services offering designed to support customers throughout the operational life of the monitoring system.

The offering includes two service tiers:

  • Vaisala Care, a structured package of essential lifecycle services
  • Vaisala Care+, a premium offering with more tailored lifecycle support

Services include expert support, remote training, planned system health checks and extended warranty coverage.

The offering helps customers strengthen user competence, improve audit readiness and maintain confidence in their monitoring systems over time.

Vaisala Care for Viewlinc will initially be available in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa by the end of 2026.

Deployment represents BIO-key’s 7th new customer in the Gulf region in the past 6 months

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia and HOLMDEL, N.J., Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BIO-key International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BKYI), a global provider of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and biometric authentication solutions, today announced that a new Middle East government institution has selected BIO-key to modernize and strengthen access security while simplifying the authentication experience for its workforce through the deployment of its PortalGuard® enterprise IAM platform and biometric authentication technologies.

A deeply security-conscious organization within a Gulf region national government is utilizing BIO-key’s solution to replace legacy authentication methods with secure, passwordless biometric authentication, reducing the risk of credential compromise while improving operational efficiency. As is often the case in high-level IT security deployments, the customer required that its identity not be disclosed.

The implementation includes BIO-key’s award-winning PortalGuard® platform, Passkey:YOU™ FIDO2 passwordless authentication, WEB-key biometric authentication engine, and EcoID III enterprise fingerprint scanners to provide a fully integrated Identity-Bound Biometrics (IBB) solution. Together, these technologies provide phishing-resistant authentication by binding digital identity directly to the individual rather than to a device, password, or token which pose far greater risk of compromise.

The solution is being delivered in partnership with VaporVM, a strategic integration partner in the Gulf region. VaporVM provides local implementation, deployment, and ongoing technical services to ensure seamless integration and long-term operational success.

Following the recent addition of a government security agency customer, this deployment demonstrates growing traction in BIO-key’s expansion across the Middle East, where governments and critical infrastructure organizations are accelerating investments in digital identity, Zero Trust security, and passwordless authentication as part of broader digital transformation initiatives.

“Security and operational efficiency were our highest priorities throughout this project, and BIO-key delivered a solution that met the exacting standards required by our organization,” commented a senior technical official at the institution. “The transition to biometric authentication has been seamless for our users, and we now have a level of identity assurance and access control that gives us complete confidence in our security environment.”

“This deployment demonstrates BIO-key’s ability to meet the demanding security requirements of highly security conscious organizations,” said Fadi Al Otaibi, Senior Director at VaporVM. “We believe this project will serve as a strong reference for additional government agencies and enterprise organizations looking to modernize their identity infrastructure with passwordless biometric authentication.”

“We are active in one of the world’s most ambitious markets for digital transformation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence,” said Alex Rocha, Managing Director, BIO-key. “Being selected by an institution with such demanding security requirements is an important validation of BIO-key’s technology and our Identity-Bound Biometrics strategy. We are honored by the trust placed in our technology and team and look forward to supporting more organizations across the Gulf region as they strengthen identity security and accelerate their digital transformation initiatives.”

  • Submission marks an important milestone towards bringing a new treatment option to patients with DMD in South Korea.
  • Vamorolone has already received South Korean Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) and Global Innovative Products on Fast Track (GIFT) designation.
  • Targeting regulatory approval in South Korea in 2027 and commercial launch in 2028.

Tokyo, Japan and Cambridge, UK, 22 October 2026 – Nxera Pharma Co., Ltd. (“Nxera” or the “Company”) announces that it has submitted a Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in South Korea for vamorolone for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

As announced on 2 June 2026, vamorolone has received Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) and Global Innovative Products on Fast Track (GIFT) designation in South Korea. GIFT is a priority review pathway designed to accelerate the review of innovative medicines targeting life-threatening or serious diseases, including rare diseases, and is expected to help shorten the review timeline and support earlier patient access to vamorolone. The Company is targeting marketing authorization in South Korea in 2027, followed by a commercial launch in 2028.

In January 2026, Nxera acquired exclusive rights from Santhera Pharmaceuticals Holding (“Santhera”) to develop, manufacture and commercialize vamorolone in Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Nxera is leading regulatory approval, commercialization and manufacturing activities in these territories. Vamorolone is a dissociative corticosteroid developed to preserve anti-inflammatory efficacy while reducing the systemic side effects associated with long-term conventional corticosteroid therapy. It is approved and marketed for the treatment of DMD in the US, European Union, UK and China.

Mr. MinBok Lee, President and Representative Director of Nxera Pharma Korea, commented: ” This submission marks an important milestone towards bringing a new treatment option to patients with DMD and their families in South Korea. Following the ODD and GIFT designations, we are very pleased to have reached this submission milestone as planned. DMD is a serious, progressive disease requiring long-term treatment, and we believe vamorolone has the potential to address an important unmet medical need by offering a differentiated treatment option with a more favorable long-term safety profile. We will continue to explore ways to bring vamorolone to Korean patients sooner, while working closely with the regulatory authorities towards approval.”

About Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a rare inherited X-chromosome-linked disease, which almost exclusively affects males. DMD is characterized by inflammation which is present at birth or shortly thereafter. Inflammation leads to fibrosis of muscle and is clinically manifested by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. Major milestones in the disease are the loss of ambulation, the loss of self-feeding, the start of assisted ventilation, and the development of cardiomyopathy. DMD typically reduces life expectancy to before the fourth decade due to respiratory and/or cardiac failure.

About vamorolone

Vamorolone is a dissociative corticosteroid approved for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). It binds selectively to the glucocorticoid receptor and triggers anti-inflammatory activity through inhibition of NF‑κB-mediated gene transcription, while inducing reduced transactivation of other genes [1]. Vamorolone is not a substrate for 11‑β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD) enzymes, which are involved in the local amplification of glucocorticoid activity in tissues and have been implicated in corticosteroid-associated toxicity [2,3]. This pharmacological profile is the basis for its classification as a dissociative corticosteroid, designed to preserve anti-inflammatory efficacy while reducing the systemic effects associated with long-term conventional corticosteroid therapy [1–3].

In the pivotal Phase 2b VISION-DMD study, vamorolone met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant improvement in Time to Stand (TTSTAND) velocity versus placebo at 24 weeks (p = 0.002) [4]. The most commonly reported adverse reactions were cushingoid features, vomiting, weight increase, increased appetite, and irritability; most were mild to moderate in severity [1].

Long-term data from up to eight years of vamorolone treatment were presented at the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinical & Scientific Conference in March 2026[5,6]. In propensity-matched analyses, vamorolone demonstrated durable efficacy comparable to standard-of-care corticosteroids and a differentiated safety profile: a lower incidence of vertebral fractures versus deflazacort-treated cohorts (8.1% vs 41.9%; p = 0.0082) [5]; maintained normal growth trajectory with a mean height advantage of 12.17 cm versus conventional corticosteroids (p < 0.0001) [5,6], and a lower incidence of cataracts versus deflazacort (p = 0.015), with no observed cases of glaucoma [5].

Company advances plans for Chicago-area graphene production facility targeting initial capacity of 10 metric tonnes per quarter, alongside encouraging preliminary lubricant testing results

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Argo Graphene Solutions Corp. (CSE: ARGO | OTCQB: ARLSF | FSE: 94Y) (“Argo” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide an update on its plans to establish a commercial-scale graphene refinery in the Chicago, Illinois area, while reporting encouraging preliminary results from its evaluation of graphene as a performance-enhancing additive in industrial lubricants.

Together, these initiatives advance Argo’s strategy to build a vertically integrated graphene business, connecting commercial-scale production with the development of graphene-based products for industrial markets.

Argo’s commercialization strategy is built around its exclusive worldwide licence to Grapherry’s proprietary STREAM™ production technology. The agreement also establishes a contractual pathway to full ownership, supporting Argo’s long-term objective of owning its core production technology.

Advancing Argo’s Graphene Refinery Strategy

Argo continues to advance its plans to establish a commercial-scale graphene refinery in the Chicago area, representing an important step in the Company’s transition from pilot-scale production toward commercial manufacturing.

The Company is in the final stages of securing a facility intended to house its STREAM™ production operations, supporting the manufacture of graphene and graphene oxide for a broad range of industrial applications.

The Company will announce the new name following regulatory approval.

Argo’s initial development phase targets production capacity of approximately 10 metric tonnes of graphene per quarter, with plans to expand to approximately 90 metric tonnes per quarter as the Company advances its longer-term commercialization strategy.

Argo also plans to expand its graphene oxide production capabilities, initially targeting 30 metric tonnes per quarter of graphene oxide dispersion at a 20% concentration, with further capacity expansion contemplated as commercial operations develop.

The proposed facility is intended to support Argo’s vertically integrated refinery model, combining graphene production with material testing, application development and customer qualification programs.

Following the completion of its C$1.47 million financing in September 2026, Argo intends to advance facility development, production scale-up and customer qualification programs. The planned refinery is expected to support the development of graphene and graphene oxide products for industrial markets, including construction, energy storage, composites, coatings and lubricants, while providing a foundation for future commercial partnerships.

Expanding Industrial Applications: Graphene-Enhanced Lubricants

Alongside its refinery development, Argo is advancing its evaluation of graphene-enhanced industrial lubricants, representing another potential commercial application for its graphene technology.

Preliminary testing has produced encouraging results, demonstrating that graphene remained dispersed in a specially formulated mineral oil for multiple weeks at tested concentrations ranging from 0.05% to 0.50% by weight. Maintaining stable dispersion is an important step toward developing lubricant formulations with the potential to reduce friction, minimize equipment wear and improve operating efficiency. Initial friction testing has also yielded encouraging observations, supporting further performance evaluation and formulation development.

The global lubricants industry represents a substantial market for potential performance-enhancing additives. According to Grand View Research, the global lubricants market is projected to reach approximately US$155 billion in 2026, growing to more than US$204 billion by 2033. Graphene-based additives could potentially enhance existing lubricant formulations across industries including transportation, manufacturing, construction, mining and energy.

Argo intends to continue testing and refining its formulations, with a focus on validating performance improvements and identifying commercially viable applications.

“Our planned Chicago-area refinery is a key step in building the production capabilities needed to commercialize graphene across multiple industrial markets,” said Dr. Vikas Berry, CEO of Argo Graphene Solutions Corp. “The encouraging results from our preliminary lubricant testing highlight another potential application for graphene. Our focus is on advancing production, validating performance and translating these opportunities into commercial products.”

GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Greenlight Capital Re, Ltd. (Nasdaq: GLRE) (“Greenlight Re” or the “Company”) announced today that Greenlight Innovation Syndicate 3456 (“Syndicate 3456”) has appointed Ian Maguire as Active Underwriter, subject to regulatory approval, as Syndicate 3456 transitions from a Syndicate-in-a-Box to a full Lloyd’s syndicate with effect from January 1, 2027.

Syndicate 3456, which writes Greenlight Re Innovations business with a focus on Coverholder partnerships, began underwriting as a Syndicate-in-a-Box on April 1, 2022, with the support of third-party managing agent Asta. The transition to a full syndicate will allow Syndicate 3456 to continue to support innovative Coverholders as well as more traditional Coverholder business, with strong growth anticipated in 2027.

Greg Richardson, Greenlight Re CEO, said:

“Ian has been assisting Syndicate 3456 as a consultant over the last six months, and we are delighted that Ian is now joining Syndicate 3456, as Active Underwriter, at this significant time in the evolution of Syndicate 3456. Ian’s nearly 40 years of experience in the Lloyd’s and London markets, including as Active Underwriter of a major Lloyd’s syndicate with specific expertise in managing delegated authority books of business, will be invaluable as we transition to a full syndicate. While Innovations business will remain the primary focus of Syndicate 3456, we plan to expand our offering to include some more traditional delegated underwriting authority and consortia business, as well as a limited amount of treaty reinsurance. Ian’s appointment highlights the investment we are making in our Lloyd’s platform, which is a key part of our overall strategy.”

Ian Maguire, Active Underwriter, Syndicate 3456 added:

“I am excited to be joining Syndicate 3456 as it transitions to a full syndicate effective January 1, 2027. Having worked with the team in recent months, I have seen first-hand the quality of the underwriting platform and the attractive and diverse portfolio of Innovations business that Syndicate 3456 has developed. Broadening our underwriting appetite is an area where I look forward to applying my experience as Syndicate 3456 grows and establishes itself further in the market.”
