CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Aemetis, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMTX), a diversified renewable natural gas and biofuels company, announced today that its Aemetis Biogas subsidiary has completed construction and started operation of two additional dairy biogas digesters as part of the company’s biogas production network.

Aemetis now operates 14 dairy digesters that receive manure feedstock from 17 dairy facilities that are expected to produce about 600,000 MMBtu per year of renewable natural gas (RNG). Biogas produced at the digesters is transported by 36 miles of Aemetis pipeline to a central biogas-to-RNG production facility in Keyes, California, which delivers RNG into the PG&E utility gas pipeline. Aemetis has signed agreements with a total of 50 dairies in the area to install digesters.

“Adding two new dairy biogas digesters represents continued progress on the expansion of dairy RNG production, reusing waste products from California’s large dairy industry and providing a valuable biofuel to replace expensive diesel,” stated Eric McAfee, Chairman and CEO of Aemetis. “We appreciate the strong support of our dairies and construction firms as we continue to build out the network, further increasing revenue in the Aemetis Biogas segment.”

The new digesters use two of the fourteen biogas cleanup and compression systems that Aemetis has purchased and received from NPL Construction, a subsidiary of Centuri Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CTRI), an infrastructure services contractor. The remaining units in Aemetis’ inventory will significantly reduce the project construction time required for the next 12 digester installations.

Aemetis also expects to complete the construction of its first RNG fueling station in Keyes, California in the next few weeks, with deliveries to truck fleets scheduled to begin in November 2026.

“The Aemetis Biogas Central Digester Project continues to expand, producing low-cost fuel that Aemetis plans to sell to truck fleets for less than $2 per diesel gallon equivalent in California, where diesel prices exceed $7 per gallon,” added McAfee. “With seven approved Low Carbon Fuel Standard pathways and six more biogas pathways nearing approval, collectively averaging a negative 328 carbon intensity, we expect to continue to grow biogas revenues while supporting the domestic production of renewable energy, job creation, and local economic development.”

Dairy RNG sold in California generates four revenue streams: sales of pipeline-quality renewable natural gas; federal Section 45Z tax credits; federal Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) D3 RINs; and LCFS credits. Aemetis Biogas has generated $22.8 million of Section 45Z tax credits as of the end of August 2026, resulting in $62 of revenue per MMBtu of dairy RNG from the sale of the tax credits.

The number of federal D3 RINs generated each month increases as dairy RNG production rises. Every MMBtu of dairy RNG produces 11.7 D3 RINs, which are currently selling at $2.05 per RIN. These RINs are purchased by oil companies and other obligated parties to comply with the federal RFS that was passed into law in 2007.

California LCFS credit prices have increased from $42 per credit in July 2025 to approximately $90 in October 2026, with ongoing quarterly program deficits expected to continue to drive credit prices upward as the inventory of excess LCFS credits decreases.

Third Quarter 2026 Financial Commentary

(All comparisons refer to the third quarter of 2025, except as noted)

Transportation Invoice and Dollar Volumes – Transportation dollar volumes increased 14.5%. The Company is experiencing rising transportation dollars processed as a result of rising contract freight rates as well as fuel surcharges. The average dollars per traditional freight invoice of $1,115 increased 17.2%. During September 2026, the average dollars per traditional freight invoice was $1,152, exceeding the full third quarter of 2026 level, suggesting that the average dollars per invoice will continue rising into the fourth quarter of 2026. Rising transportation dollar volumes positively impact the overall levels of accounts and drafts payable and payments in advance of funding, and resulting interest income and financial fees.

Facility Expense Invoice and Dollar Volumes – Facility expense invoice volumes of 4.0 million decreased 1.2%, and dollar volumes of $6.6 billion increased 5.5%. The average dollars per invoice of $1,631 increased 6.9% primarily due to rising electricity and gas prices.

Processing Fees – Processing fees decreased $763,000, or 4.6%, due to lower transportation and facility invoice volumes.

Financial Fees – Financial fees, earned on a transactional level basis for invoice payment services when making customer payments, increased $1.2 million, or 11.8%. The increase in financial fees was primarily due to an increase in average payments in advance of funding of 15.8%, in addition to rising financial interchange fees within CassPay.

Net Interest Income – Net interest income increased $1.9 million, or 8.9%. The increase in net interest income was attributable to the net interest margin improving to 4.02% as compared to 3.87%, in addition to an increase in average interest-earning assets of $105.4 million, or 4.8%.

The Company’s net interest margin improvement was driven by increases in the average yield on loans and investment securities of 24 and 33 basis points, respectively, combined with a decrease in the average cost of total deposits of 24 basis points, partially offset by a decrease in the yield on short-term investments of 55 basis points.

Provision for Credit Losses – The Company recorded a release of credit losses of $211,000 during the third quarter of 2026 as compared to $193,000 in the third quarter of 2025. The release of credit losses for the third quarter of 2026 was driven by the decrease in loans as compared to June 30, 2026 of $38.3 million, or 3.5%, partially offset by the net impact to the allowance for loan losses related to a $508,000 charge-off of a nonperforming commercial real estate loan, the Company’s first loan charge-off in over a decade.

Personnel Expenses – Personnel expenses increased $41,000, or 0.1%. Salaries and commissions increased $582,000, or 2.9%, as a result of merit increases and higher commission payments related to sales activities, partially offset by the decrease in average full-time equivalent employees (“FTEs”) of 6.6%. Employee profit sharing increased $271,000 due to the improvement in net income from continuing operations. Other benefits decreased $806,000, or 16.8%, due to the decrease in FTEs in addition to lower health insurance claims and related expenses.

Equipment Expense – Equipment expense increased $424,000 primarily due to an increase in depreciation and licensing and maintenance expense on software related to technology initiatives.

Other Expense – Other expense increased $880,000, or 12.1%. The increase is primarily due to higher business development costs and professional fees related to technology initiatives.

Investment Securities – Investment securities increased $65.7 million as compared to June 30, 2026. During September 2026, the Company purchased $82.0 million of U.S. Treasury and government agency securities at a weighted average rate of 4.00% and laddered maturities between November 2026 and October 2027. The Company also purchased $28.1 million of mortgage-backed securities at a weighted average rate of 5.42% during the month. The unrealized loss on investment securities increased $34.4 million to $75.3 million as compared to June 30, 2026. The Company is evaluating opportunities to deploy liquidity in a higher interest rate environment with consideration to the impact of falling bond prices on its tangible common equity ratio.

Loans – When compared to June 30, 2026, loans decreased $38.3 million, or 3.5%. The Company experienced several pay-offs within its faith-based portfolio during the quarter, some due to intentional exits of potential problem credits and others due to refinancing at other financial institutions. The Company expects loans at December 31, 2026 to be flat with September 30, 2026. The Company’s 2027 and longer-term forecast for loan growth is 6-8%.

Payments in Advance of Funding – Average payments in advance of funding increased $27.8 million, or 15.8%, primarily due to a 14.5% increase in transportation dollar volumes.

Deposits – Average deposits increased $79.2 million, or 7.8%. The Company experienced growth in average CassPay deposits of $74.5 million, or 29.2%.

Accounts and Drafts Payable – Average accounts and drafts payable increased $37.0 million, or 3.1%, as compared to the third quarter of 2025. The increase in these balances, which are non-interest bearing, is primarily reflective of the increase in transportation and facility dollar volumes of 14.5% and 5.5%, respectively.

Shareholders’ Equity – Total shareholders’ equity decreased $18.6 million as compared to June 30, 2026 as a result of an increase in accumulated other comprehensive loss of $26.2 million and dividends of $4.1 million, partially offset by net income of $10.6 million. The increase in accumulated other comprehensive loss was due to the significant rise in long-term bond yields during the quarter.

Dividend – On October 20, 2026, the Company’s Board of Directors approved a quarterly dividend of $0.34 per share with the dividend payable on December 14, 2026 to shareholders of record on December 4, 2026. This represents a $0.02, or 6.3%, increase in the quarterly dividend reflecting the Board’s confidence in earnings growth.

Repurchase of Common Stock – The Company did not repurchase any of its common stock during the quarter primarily as a result of the increase in average assets of $80.8 million as compared to the second quarter of 2026, and the need to support the asset growth with capital generated from earnings. The Company manages capital with an overall objective of maintaining a leverage ratio of approximately 10.00%. Future levels of repurchases will depend on market conditions, earnings, balance sheet growth and potential acquisition opportunities.

Asset Quality – Non-performing loans totaled $1.1 million at September 30, 2026, a decrease of $537,000 as compared to June 30, 2026, largely driven by the previously mentioned loan charge-off.

Outlook – The Company is optimistic regarding its revenue outlook as a result of i) the likelihood of sustained higher interest rates which would be expected to positively impact net interest margin; ii) the impact of higher contract freight rates and fuel surcharges which should lead to higher levels of accounts and drafts payable, net interest income and financial fees; iii) increased sales activity around CassPay, which is expected to lead to growth in non-interest bearing deposits and financial fees; and iv) onboarding of new clients in Facilities.

The Company expects higher operating expense growth as it heads into the fourth quarter of 2026 and 2027 versus what was experienced through the first three quarters of 2026 due to i) resources needed to support the onboarding and support of two large new CassPay clients; ii) an increase in technology-related depreciation expense as a result of projects around AI-enabled systems being placed into production; iii) an increase in licensing and other related costs around AI-enabled and other third party software platforms; iv) an increase in profit sharing and share-based compensation expense due to forecasted improved earnings; and v) an expectation of rising benefits, primarily due to health insurance costs. While the Company believes it will continue to achieve operational efficiencies in certain areas due to technology successes, this progress may be offset short-term as a result of anticipated investments in people and resources needed to get other AI-enabled systems in place and operating at a level where the Company can continue to achieve operational efficiencies in future periods.

About Non-GAAP Financial Measures

Certain of the financial measures and ratios the Company presents, including “adjusted net income from continuing operations,” and “adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations,” are supplemental measures that are not required by, or are not presented in accordance with, U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Company refers to these financial measures and ratios as “non-GAAP financial measures.” The Company considers the use of select non-GAAP financial measures and ratios to be useful for financial and operational decision making and useful in evaluating period-to-period comparisons. The Company believes that these non-GAAP financial measures provide meaningful supplemental information regarding its performance by excluding certain revenue and expense items that the Company believes are not indicative of its primary business operating results or by presenting certain metrics on a fully taxable equivalent basis. The Company believes that management and investors benefit from referring to these non-GAAP financial measures in assessing the Company’s performance and when planning, forecasting, analyzing and comparing past, present and future periods.

These non-GAAP financial measures should not be considered a substitute for financial information presented in accordance with GAAP and you should not rely on non-GAAP financial measures alone as measures of the Company’s performance. The non-GAAP financial measures the Company presents may differ from non-GAAP financial measures used by the Company’s peers or other companies. The Company compensates for these differences by providing the equivalent GAAP measures whenever the Company presents the non-GAAP financial measures and by including a reconciliation of the impact of the components adjusted for in the non-GAAP financial measure so that both measures and the individual components may be considered when analyzing the Company’s performance. A reconciliation of non-GAAP financial measures to the comparable GAAP financial measures is included at the end of the financial statement tables.

The End of the Flat White? Oatly’s Future of Taste Report Identifies Four Key Trends Shaping Café Menus

MALMÖ, Sweden, October 22, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Oatly Group AB (publ) (Nasdaq: OTLY) (“Oatly”), the world’s original and largest oat drink company, has published its second Future of Taste Report. It brings together more than 200 interviews with baristas, café owners, mixologists and drinks experts across 21 countries, alongside quantitative trends data compiled by researchers CultureLab, to identify the trends expected to shape café menus in the coming months.

The report points to a potential overhaul of coffee menus on the horizon, with a growing interest in botanical and fermented ingredients, a boom in non-coffee and tea orders, and – with the rise of innovations like coffee jelly – “texture” playing an increasingly starring role.

Rowena Roos, Oatly Head of FADE said:

“This year’s Future of Taste Report makes one thing very clear: people are expecting a lot more from their drinks. They want more excitement, more texture, and more functionality. From wellness drinks with real personality to global flavours, playful textures and cafés at the core of actual human connection, menus are becoming far more expressive. It’s been exciting to hear how many creators see oat drink as a brilliant starting point for that creativity, allowing baristas and café teams to build drinks people don’t just order but remember.”

1.   THE PHARMAFICATION OF DRINKS: Herbs, botanicals and fermented ingredients are moving further into everyday drinks, as cafés borrow from wellness, nature and traditional food cultures. 40% of drinks professionals say herbs and botanicals will shape the future of flavour, making them the number one taste trend in the report. Ginger, hibiscus and lavender are among the ingredients gaining attention, while 56% of experts spontaneously mentioned fermentation. Alongside kombucha, drinks such as tepache, kvass and Turkish şalgam are starting to appear on the radar.

Olive Sour

Salty olives and brine mix with refreshing lemon and vegetable juice. Topped with an olive oil Oatly Barista Cold Foam.

“I think we will see more ingredients connected to nature, fermentation and regionality: herbs, flowers, botanicals, tea, fermented fruits and local ingredients. People are becoming interested in flavours that tell a story.” — Lara Sosna, Forkk Studio, Germany.

      2.   THE GREAT CAFÉ RECONNECTION: With the rise of AI and at-home working, cafés are taking on a bigger role as places to meet, spend time and find community. 51% of drinks experts say belonging, community or connection will be central to the future of cafés. That could mean specialist coffee communities, matcha groups, music-led spaces or cafés built around other shared interests. The drink still matters, but increasingly, so does what happens around it.

Goji Mont Blanc

Iced filter with sweet and tangy goji berry syrup, topped with Oatly Barista Cold Foam. The classic format reinvented with a twist.

“The real value of a product isn’t just what it does but its ability to create relationships between people.” — Marco Purini, Coffee Industry Professional, Italy

      3.   THE END OF THE FLAT WHITE? Coffee and tea are no longer the only drinks competing for space on the café menu. 82% of baristas and café owners mentioned drinks that were neither tea nor coffee. Ube was mentioned twice as often as the flat white or cappuccino, while refreshers, botanical sodas, fermented drinks, hojicha, coconut and hibiscus are also finding their way onto menus. The result is a café menu that looks increasingly different from the one we’re used to.

Coconut Pandan Cloud

Coconut, espresso and orange blossom water meld together with the floral and coconutty notes of the pandan Oatly Cold Foam. Floral, bitter, creamy and very definitely not your usual latte.

“We sell more hydration drinks than any other drink now.” — Flo Thomas, Batch Baby, London

      4.   THE SQUISHY BOOM: For many drinkers, flavour is only part of the appeal. Texture and appearance are becoming part of the order too. 72% of beverage experts say mouthfeel is becoming as important as flavour. Jelly, foam, fizz, chewy toppings, fruit pieces and layered drinks are all part of this shift. Looks matter too, with 37% of experts saying how a drink looks is integral to its appeal. Whilst, google searches for coffee jelly are up 90% year-on-year globally.

Pannoat Cotta Thai Tea

A thick slurpable pannoat cotta made with Oatly Barista Edition Coconut Flavour is the base of this texture rich beverage. Topped with a creamy Thai tea mix.

Nobody orders cold foam for the taste; they order it for the feeling. Texture has become its own language, separate from flavour.” — Diego Mata, Nuwanda, Valencia

The findings build on Oatly’s 2025 Future of Taste report, which correctly identified the rise of decaf, the proliferation of fiber-focused drinks and the staying power of matcha beyond a passing fad.

HARGREAVE HALE AIM VCT PLC
(the “Company”)

Allotment of Shares

The Board announced on 23 January 2026 that the Company had published an offer document, which was subsequently revised on 13 July 2026, (the “Offer Document“) in relation to an offer for subscription of ordinary shares of 1 pence each (the “Ordinary Shares“), to raise up to £20,000,000 with an over-allotment facility to raise up to a further £10,000,000 (the “Offer“). On 22 October 2026, the Company allotted 436,240 new Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Offer, conditional only on being admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange plc’s main market for listed securities (“Admission“), the timetable for which is set out in more detail below.

The offer price at which the 436,240 new Ordinary Shares were allotted was 32.64 pence per Ordinary Share, which was calculated, in accordance with the terms of the Offer, by reference to the last published net asset value per Ordinary Share as at the close of business on 16 October 2026 (as announced on 20 October 2026) divided by 0.965 (to allow for the costs of the Offer).

Application will shortly be made for the 436,240 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the closed-ended investment funds category of the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority. It is expected that Admission will occur and dealing will commence in the new Ordinary Shares on or around 29 October 2026. When issued, the new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares.

As a result of the issue, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue will be 373,582,763 with each Ordinary Share carrying one vote each. Therefore, the total voting rights in the Company will be 373,582,763. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

The new Ordinary Shares will be issued in registered form and may be held in uncertificated form. Definitive documents of title are expected to be dispatched within 15 business days of allotment. The new Ordinary Shares will be eligible for settlement through CREST with effect from Admission.

Unless the context requires otherwise, terms defined in the Offer Document have the same meaning where used in this announcement.
