TORONTO, Ontario, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cadillac Mines Corporation (TSX: CADY), (“Cadillac Mines” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce assay results from exploration diamond drilling at the Moriss Zone on its 100%-owned Galloway Project (“Galloway”), located approximately 30 kilometres west of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. The Moriss Zone is situated approximately 400 m west of the main intrusion-related Galloway trend and consists predominantly of vein hosted stringer to disseminated pyrite mineralization sitting within moderately dipping shear zones.

These first results from the Company’s inaugural Galloway diamond drill program, following the April 2026 acquisition of Fokus Mining Corporation, confirm gold mineralization down-dip of previous drilling on the Moriss-1 and Moriss-2 shears and identify a third mineralized shear, Moriss-3.

Results are reported for a total of three holes totalling 2,592 metres from the 2026 exploration drilling at Moriss. The Moriss drilling forms part of a 27,500 metre 2026 exploration program across the entire Galloway Property.

Moriss Zone Drilling Highlights

Selected highlight results include:

  • 10.96/t Au over 4.4 m estimated true width (ETW) in hole GAL26-003, and
  • 8.02 g/t Au over 3.2 m estimated true width (ETW) in hole GAL26-003, and
  • 6.81 g/t Au over 3.6 m estimated true width (ETW) in hole GAL26-003
  • 11.26 g/t Au over 1.0 m estimated true width (ETW) in hole GAL26-004, and
  • 4.53 g/t Au over 2.2 m estimated true width (ETW) in hole GAL26-004

Kerry Sparkes, Senior Vice President, Exploration of Cadillac Mines, stated, “Our first holes at Galloway have confirmed that gold mineralization continues at depth down-dip of previous drilling on Moriss-1 and Moriss-2, thereby identifying a third, deeper shear.” Mr. Sparkes continued. “Moriss-3 sits below previous drilling and gives us a new high grade mineralized shear to test in 2027.”

Geology and Context of Results

The Galloway property is located in the Abitibi greenstone belt in Quebec, seven kilometres east of the Quebec-Ontario border and 13 kilometres northeast of the Company’s Kerr-Addison project (Figure 1).

The Property is underlain by mafic to felsic metavolcanic rocks of the Archean Blake River Assemblage and, in the south of the property, by the volcanic and metasedimentary rocks of the Timiskaming Assemblage. The Baie Renault intrusive complex, a large Archean syenite complex emplaced in the Blake River Assemblage, occupies much of the property. Younger, Proterozoic-age Cobalt Group sedimentary rocks lie unconformably over the southern part of the property. Galloway extends from 400 metres to 4.5 kilometres north of the Larder Lake-Cadillac Deformation Zone (“LLCDZ”), a major east-west structure hosting many of the region’s gold deposits. Northeast and northwest-trending brittle faults cut the Archean and Proterozoic rocks.

The main mineralization style is an intrusion-related gold-copper-molybdenum magmatic-hydrothermal system interpreted to be related to the Baie Renault intrusive complex. Three main mineralized zones have been identified on the western part of the property: Moriss, Hendrick and GP-Hurd.

Hendrick and GP-Hurd are characterized by broad zones of gold and copper mineralization in the syenite and adjacent tuff units. Mineralization is associated with disseminated pyrite and quartz-carbonate veins and veinlets hosting chalcopyrite, often accompanied by molybdenite.

Moriss is the westernmost zone on the property. Unlike Hendrick and GP-Hurd, gold mineralization at Moriss is hosted in three successive EW shear zones Moriss-1, Moriss-2 and the recently identified Moriss-3, spaced approximately 100 to 200 metres apart. The shears are hosted in the Blake River volcanic sequence and are characterized by quartz-carbonate veins with sericite-silica-carbonate alteration and pyrite.

The holes reported in this release were drilled at Moriss to test both lateral and down-dip extensions. Drilling started in June 2026 and was completed in early August. Before this program, only Moriss-1 and Moriss-2 had been identified. Drilling further south, beyond the known shears, identified a third mineralized shear, Moriss-3.

  • Hole GAL26-003 (Figures 2, 3 and 4) was the first hole drilled on Moriss to test the western extension of Moriss-1 and Moriss-2. The hole remained in Blake River basalts for most of its length and intersected Moriss-1 and Moriss-2 shears where projected from previous drilling. Moriss-1 returned 8.02 g/t Au over 3.2 m ETW, approximately 150 m below surface and Moriss-2 returned 10.96 g/t Au over 4.4 m ETW, approximately 225 m below surface. In both shears, gold is associated with quartz-carbonate veins and pyrite. Approximately 200 metres further south, the hole intersected Moriss-3, which returned 6.81 g/t Au over 3.6 m ETW in previously untested ground.
  • Holes GAL26-004 and GAL26-006 (Figures 2; 3 and 5) were drilled toward the eastern margin of Moriss as defined by previous drilling. Both holes intersected Moriss-1 where projected from previous drilling, approximately 165 m and 335 m below surface, respectively. The shear was present in both holes but less strongly mineralized than in GAL26-003. Moriss-1 returned 1.31 g/t Au over 0.8 m ETW in GAL26-004 and 1.63g/t Au over 2.1 m ETW in GAL26-006. GAL26-004 also intersected Moriss-2, which returned 4.53 g/t Au over 2.2 m ETW. In GAL-26-006, two shear zones were intersected at approximately 520 and 560 metres downhole, with both carrying trace gold. The nearest hole intersecting Moriss-2 is approximately 300 metres away, and the correlation of either shear with Moriss-2 has not yet been established. Near the top of GAL26-004, an interval of 11.26 g/t Au over 1.0 m core length is not associated with a shear zone, rather it is associated with pyrite mineralization along pillow margins in the basalt.

Exploration drilling at Moriss is complete for 2026. The Company expects to resume drilling at Moriss in the first quarter of 2027 to follow up on Moriss-3 and test the other two shears along their lateral extent and at depth.

2026 Exploration Summary and Outlook

Galloway is Cadillac Mines’ flagship project in Quebec. In 2026, Cadillac is executing its largest ever annual drill campaign, targeting the completion of over 145,000 meters of diamond drilling across its entire property portfolio, including Larder and Galloway, at a budgeted cost of approximately $65 million. Through the end of September 2026, Cadillac Mines completed 105,927 metres of drilling, representing 73% of the full-year target. Currently, Cadillac is operating 12 diamond drill rigs, with four focused on expanding mineralization at its newly acquired Galloway Project, two at Kerr-Addison focused on infill and expansion drilling, five targeting expansionary drilling at Larder, and one currently testing below the known mineralization at the Geminid Nickel target.

During the fourth quarter, Cadillac Mines will also be planning and implementing a property wide airborne full tensor gradient magnetic survey covering the Larder, Galloway and Kerr properties along with a ground based deep penetrating MT geophysical survey. In addition, Cadillac has contracted Geologic AI to scan over 40,000 m of historic Galloway core from the 400-hole historical diamond drill database, collecting continuous XRF chemistry plus hyperspectral mineralogy to aid in the geologic interpretation and re-assaying of select intervals of core for Copper and Molybdenum.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures

Cadillac Mines maintains an internal quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) program at the Galloway Project to ensure sampling and analysis of all exploration work is conducted in accordance with industry-standard best practices.

Drill core is logged and sampled at core logging facilities in Virginiatown under the supervision of a Qualified Geologist. Sample intervals are selected by a geologist based on geological observations, with sample numbers, certified reference materials (CRMs), and blanks inserted into the sample sequence and recorded in the database. Drill core is cut in half using an automated core saw equipped with a diamond-tipped blade. One half of the core is placed in labelled plastic sample bags and then packaged in rice bags for shipment, while the remaining half is returned to the core box and retained for future reference. Saws and surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned at the end of every shift and between each hole.

Core samples are transported by Manitoulin Transport to ALS Geochemistry in Thunder Bay or Rouyn-Noranda for sample preparation and gold analysis and then shipped to ALS Geochemistry in North Vancouver for multi-element analysis. Sample preparation includes crushing the sample to at least 70% passing 2 mm. A 500 g sub-sample is collected using a riffle splitter, transferred into a sealed and uniquely coded jar, and analyzed for gold by Photon Assay. A second sub-sample of up to 250 g is collected using a riffle splitter, pulverized to at least 85% passing 75 microns, and analyzed for multi-element chemistry using four-acid digestion of a 0.25 g analytical split with an ICP-AES finish.

Cadillac Mines inserts CRMs (5%), blanks (5%), and duplicate (5%) samples into the sample stream to monitor analytical accuracy, contamination, and sampling precision. ALS Laboratories are an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory and maintain internal quality control procedures, including the insertion of laboratory blanks, reference materials, and pulp duplicates.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sports Entertainment Gaming Global Corporation (“SEGG Media” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: SEGG, LTRYW) today announced that on October 14, 2026, it received a Staff Determination letter (the “Letter”) from the Listing Qualifications Department (the “Staff”) of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”). The Letter states that the Company has not regained compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1), which requires timely filing of all required periodic financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”). The Company has timely requested a hearing before the Nasdaq Hearings Panel (the “Hearings Panel”) and paid the applicable $20,000 hearing fee to review the Staff’s determination.

Staff previously notified the Company on April 17, May 21 and August 20, 2026 that it was not in compliance with the rule. Those notices covered three reports:

  • its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025
  • its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2026
  • its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2026

Staff granted the Company 180 calendar days from the due date of the Form 10-K. The Company has since filed the Form 10-K and the Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2026. Accordingly, Nasdaq has provided written confirmation that the Company is no longer non-compliant with regard to these two filings. The current determination is based on the Company not having filed its Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2026 within the 180-day exception period.

The Letter stated that, absent an appeal, trading of the Company’s common stock and warrants would be suspended on October 23, 2026, and Nasdaq would file a Form 25-NSE with the SEC to remove the Company’s securities from listing. The Company’s hearing request stays any suspension for 15 days from the date of the request, unless the Company specifically requests, and the Hearings Panel grants, a further stay. As such, the Company has also requested an extended stay pending the hearing. Hearings are typically scheduled 30 to 45 days after a request.

The Company is currently awaiting confirmation of the hearing date and intends to file its Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2026 as soon as practicable to cure the one remaining deficiency. There can be no assurance that the Hearings Panel will grant an extended stay pending the hearing or grant an exception to the continued listing standard for up to 360 days from the initial delinquency.

The Company has been through this hearing process with Nasdaq before. In 2023, while operating as Lottery.com, Inc., the Company appeared before a Hearings Panel. The Hearings Panel granted additional time to file the delinquent periodic reports and to meet Nasdaq’s minimum bid price requirement. On September 8, 2023, Nasdaq notified the Company that it had regained compliance with both requirements, and the Company’s listing was maintained on Nasdaq.

TORONTO, Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Discovery Mining Ltd. (TSX: DSV, OTCQX: DSVSF) (“Discovery” or the “Company”) today reported results from ongoing exploration at the Company’s advanced stage growth project at Dome. The results, which include assays from a combined total of 36 holes1 (16,365.4 m) continued to expand mineralization, indicated excellent correlation of widths and grades to previous drilling and clearly demonstrated the upside that exists at the project.

Tony Makuch, Discovery’s President, CEO and Chairman, commented: “The high-grade intersections reported today further demonstrate the tremendous potential that exists for Dome Mine to resume operations as a large-scale, long-life open-pit mining operation. The results identify new areas of mineralization that support our view that we can expand the open pit and significantly grow our resource base. Particularly encouraging were high-grade intersections that extend the mineralization 600 m to the south of the current resource pit. The mineralized zones identified follow the trend of the Dome Fault and remain open to the west along the fault that extends through the neighbouring Paymaster property. Also encouraging were a number of shallow intersections in new zones identified to the north of the main mineralization.

“As with recent exploration success at our Pamour mine, the drill results at Dome clearly demonstrate the potential for a much larger open-pit operation than was previously envisioned, with the opportunity existing for further expansion of mineralization to the north, south and west. Based on the upside that exists, we are now re-evaluating our future plans for the Dome Mill, and will be considering the establishment of a large, central milling facility at the Kidd Metallurgical site to provide processing for all of our operations.

“Work to update the current 11.0 million ounce inferred mineral resource at Dome is progressing well and remains on track for release as part of a technical report for our Porcupine operations early in 2027.”

The 36 holes reported today from the Dome project were from two main areas, including the north side of the current mineral resource pit and the south side of the pit near the former Preston and New York Porcupine properties (Figure 1).

Dome is among the largest historic gold producers in Canada, with total production of 16.7 million ounces from both underground and open pit sources between 1910 and 2017.

Geologically, the mine is located on the south limb of the Porcupine Syncline and is just north of the Destor Porcupine Fault. Mineralization in the current open-pit resource extends from surface to a maximum depth of approximately 730 m, with additional mineralization in multiple zones extending to a further depth of approximately 1,600 m.

The current mineral resource at Dome includes 222.3 million tonnes with an average grade of 1.49 gpt for a total of 11.0 million ounces in the Inferred resource category. The resource assumes a large-scale, open-pit concept to expand the historic pit along strike and to depth.

A key objective of the 2026 drilling program is the completion of a new mineral resource estimate, to be released in early 2027. The 2026 work program also includes further evaluations of data and mineralization models to upgrade portions of the resource to the Indicated resource category, and to evaluate the potential for future underground mining at Dome.

Drilling on the south side of the resource pit included 22 holes (7,188.0 m) to evaluate mineralization between the south edge and up to 600 m southwards along the projected trend of the Dome Fault and contained multiple holes with excellent grades and widths. Significant results include: 3.41 gpt over 17.3m and 1.42 gpt over 17.0m in hole DOM26-046; 1.71 gpt over 19.1m, 11.41 gpt over 1.7m, 1.15 gpt over 12.9m in hole DOM26-047; 3.56 gpt over 21.0m and 2.29 gpt over 4.0m in hole DOM26-044, 2.53 gpt over 6.0m, 2310.00 gpt over 1.0m, 2.09 gpt over 9.3m, 3.16 gpt over 3.7m, 6.52 gpt over 4.2m and 2.01 gpt over 14.0m in hole DOM26-048 and; 195.00 gpt over 0.6m, 46.20 gpt over 1.0m, 0.81 gpt over 14.6m, 1.98 gpt over 18.7m, and 11.31 gpt over 6.7m, including 214.00 gpt over 0.3m in hole DOM26-071; 6.80 gpt over 5.0m and 3.75 gpt over 5.0m in hole DOM26-042, which targeted between 100 and 300 meters south of the current resource pit, as well as 56.50 gpt over 1.1m and 3.93 gpt over 5.0m, in hole DOM26-049; 1.48 gpt over 22.0m, and 1.75 gpt over 14.9m, in hole DOM26-061A and; 1.40 gpt over 7.5m, 4.44 gpt over 3.0m, and 11.63 gpt over 9.0m, including 93.40 gpt over 1.0m in hole DOM26-063, which were drilled between 400 to 600 meters to the south (Table 1). Based on current interpretations, the mineralized zones identified in the new drilling follow the trend of the Dome Fault and remain open to the west along the projected trace of the fault for a minimum 1.5 kms before the fault passes through the Paymaster #2 and #3 shaft area and converges with the Destor Porcupine Fault Zone. The Paymaster #2 and #3 shaft area is located on the Paymaster joint venture property which was recently acquired along with the Fuller Block from McEwen Mining Inc (see press release October 9, 2026).

Drilling on the north side of the resource pit included 14 holes (9,177.4 m) and was also very successful with multiple holes obtaining significant intersections both within and on the north side of the current resource. Especially encouraging is the fact that several of the intersections were at shallow depths and in new structures north of the main body of mineralization. Significant results include 331.0 gpt over 0.3m, 19.56 gpt over 6.1m including 279.00 gpt over 0.4m and 51.60 gpt over 2.0m including 102.00 gpt over 1.0m in hole DOM26-019, 72.54 gpt over 5.9m including 1400.00 gpt over 0.3m, and 2.19 gpt over 13.5m in hole DOM26-052, 5.28 gpt over 11.0m including 83.10 gpt over 0.3m, 27.10 gpt over 0.5m, 5.48 gpt over 2.2m and 2.42 gpt over 10.9m in hole DOM26-054, 27.20 gpt over, 0.4m, 17.92 gpt over 3.7m including 71.20 gpt over 0.8m, and 5.48 gpt over 7.0m in hole DOM26-051, 9.90 gpt over 1.6m, 3.48 gpt over 9.1m including 28.20 gpt over 0.8m, 1.81 gpt over 9.0m, and 3.87 gpt over 7.0m in hole DOM26-056, 2.34 gpt over 14.3m and 51.87 gpt over 1.8m in hole DOM26-053, and 140.28 gpt over 2.6m including 1170.00 gpt over 0.3m in hole DOM26-058 (Table 1).

Drilling at the project is continuing with two drills, one located in the southwest portion of the historic open pit and the other on the north side. Work is also continuing to evaluate additional drill targets to the north, south and west sides of the pit. Considering results and progress to date, the project remains on track for the planned resource update early in 2027.

QUALIFIED PERSONS
Discovery’s exploration programs at the Porcupine Operations are conducted under the supervision of Eric Kallio, P.Geo., Executive Vice President, Exploration and Growth, Kara Byrnes, P.Geo, Vice President, Exploration and Geology – Porcupine and Steve Harding, P.Geo., Senior Geologist – Exploration Growth Projects. Mr. Kallio, Ms. Byrnes and Mr. Harding are “qualified persons” for the purpose of National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, of the Canadian Securities Administrators, and have reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this news release.

Readers are referred to the mineral resource estimate as set out in the Company’s current technical report entitled “Porcupine Complex, Ontario, Canada NI 43-101 Report on Preliminary Assessment” with an effective date of January 13, 2025 (the “Technical Report”), which is available under the Company’s issuer profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca. Statements concerning mineral resource estimates may also be deemed to constitute forward looking information to the extent that they involve estimates of the mineralization that will be encountered if the property is developed. The Technical Report includes the results of a preliminary economic assessment which is preliminary in nature. It includes inferred mineral resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have the economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be categorized as mineral reserves and there is no certainty that the preliminary economic assessment will be realized.

QA/QC CONTROLS
The Company follows a quality assurance and control (“QA/QC”) program to ensure that sampling and analysis of all exploration work is conducted in accordance with best practices.

Core is logged and sampled in a secure facility at the Dome mine site and under supervision of Qualified Geologists.  The NQ sized drill core is predominantly sawn in half with one half of the core prepared for shipment, the other half of core retained for future assay verification. CRM standards, coarse blank material and duplicates are inserted every 20 samples. Core samples are picked up by Activation Laboratories at the Dome Mine core facility and tracked via a chain of custody from site to the lab for preparation and assaying.

Discovery utilizes the accredited external lab Activation Laboratories to manage its core analysis. ActLabs is certified by the Standards Council of Canada which conforms with ASB-RG Mineral Analysis Laboratory for the Accreditation of Mineral Analysis Testing Laboratories and CAN-P-4E ISO/IEC 17025: General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

Sample preparation includes crushing drill core up to 80% passing 2 mm, riffle splitting 500 grams and pulverizing to 95% passing 105 µm followed by both scheduled and specifically requested silica sand cleaning. Gold Analysis involves Fire Assay – Atomic Absorption technique from a 50-gram pulp sample with grade ranges between 5 to 10,000 ppb. Samples greater than 10,000 ppb are analyzed with a gravimetric finish. Selected high grade samples are also analyzed using the screen metallics procedure.

ABOUT DISCOVERY
Discovery Mining Ltd. is a growing precious metals company that is creating value for stakeholders through exposure to gold, silver and other critical minerals. Discovery is advancing plans to more than double annual gold production through investment in the Company’s Porcupine assets, which include multiple operations, attractive growth projects and significant exploration upside in one of the world’s most renowned gold camps in and near Timmins, Ontario. The acquisition of the Kidd Operations in June 2026 further increased Discovery’s land position within the camp, provided valuable infrastructure that will support the Company’s growing gold business, and added critical minerals to the Company’s current production profile. Discovery’s silver exposure comes mainly from the 100%-owned Cordero project, one of the world’s largest undeveloped silver deposits, which is located close to infrastructure in a prolific mining belt in Chihuahua State, Mexico.

Proceeds strengthen balance sheet and provide expected cash runway into 2029 to advance SZN-8141 and SZN-8143

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Oct. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Surrozen, Inc. (Surrozen or the Company) (Nasdaq: SRZN), a biotechnology company pioneering targeted therapeutics to harness the power of Wnt signaling to address the underlying drivers of disease in sight-threatening ophthalmic conditions, today announced the closing of the second and final tranche of its March 2025 private placement of securities.

The second closing generated approximately $95.1 million in gross proceeds, before deducting placement agent fees and other offering expenses. The closing followed the achievement of the second closing milestone under the Company’s March 2025 securities purchase agreement, which was triggered by FDA clearance of the Company’s Investigational New Drug (IND) application for SZN-8141 on October 2, 2026.

“The completion of this financing marks an important milestone for Surrozen, significantly strengthening our balance sheet and providing the resources to advance our ophthalmology pipeline through multiple important clinical milestones,” said Craig Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Surrozen. “With expected cash runway into 2029, we are well positioned to advance SZN-8141 into the DUET Phase 1b/2a study and initiate clinical development of SZN-8143, while maintaining a disciplined approach to capital allocation.”

The second tranche included the issuance of approximately 5.7 million shares of common stock, pre-funded warrants exercisable for approximately 2.5 million shares of common stock, and Series E common stock warrants to purchase approximately 4.1 million shares of common stock. The Series E warrants have an exercise price of $11.54 per share. Following the closing, Surrozen has approximately 17.8 million shares of common stock outstanding, 3.8 million shares issuable upon exercise of pre-funded warrants, and 9.1 million shares issuable upon exercise of outstanding common stock warrants. Of the outstanding common stock warrants, approximately 1.8 million are exercisable for cash only and expire April 2029. The remaining approximately 7.3 million common stock warrants may be exercised on a cash or net exercise basis and have expiration dates ranging from March 2030 to October 2031. Substantially all outstanding common stock warrants have an exercise price of $11.54 per share.

Following the closing, Surrozen expects its cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities to provide cash runway into 2029, including funding for completion of the DUET Phase 1b/2a study of SZN-8141 and initial Phase 1b clinical development of SZN-8143.

Surrozen expects to file a new registration statement on Form S-3 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register the resale of the shares of common stock, and shares issuable upon exercise of the pre-funded warrants and Series E common stock warrants issued in the second closing. Pursuant to a registration rights agreement with the investors, Surrozen is required to file the registration statement no later than 30 calendar days following the second closing date.

About SZN-8141 for Retinal Diseases
Surrozen is developing SZN-8141 as an intravitreal injection for the treatment of DME and neovascular age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD). SZN-8141 combines Frizzled 4 (FZD4)-mediated Wnt agonism and VEGF antagonism and has the potential to provide benefits over treatment with single mechanism agents against these targets. The current standard of care for diabetic retinopathy (including DME), retinal vein occlusion and wet AMD is intravitreal administration of anti-VEGF therapies, including monotherapies and dual-pathway agents targeting VEGF and Ang-2. In addition, Merck’s remigromig, a FZD4-mediated Wnt agonist monotherapy, achieved its primary endpoint in a Phase 2b/3 clinical trial in DME, supporting the therapeutic potential of Wnt pathway activation in retinal vascular disease. The Company believes SZN-8141 has the potential to treat multiple retinopathy indications and be differentiated from existing therapies. Data generated in preclinical models of retinopathy demonstrated that SZN-8141 stimulated Wnt signaling and induced normal retinal vessel regrowth while suppressing pathological vessel growth.

About DUET
The Phase 1b/2a DUET study is designed to assess the safety, tolerability, and early signs of biological and clinical activity of SZN-8141. The trial consists of an open-label Phase 1b single-ascending-dose portion enrolling both treatment-naïve and previously treated patients with DME (Part 1), followed by a randomized, double-masked Phase 2a dose-expansion portion in treatment-naïve patients with DME (Part 2). In Part 1, patients will receive a single intravitreal injection of SZN-8141 and be followed for approximately three months to evaluate safety and tolerability, as well as pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and exploratory measures of retinal function and anatomy including best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), optical coherence tomography (OCT), OCT angiography (OCT-A), and ultra-widefield fluorescein angiography. Part 2 is expected to evaluate two dose levels of SZN-8141 compared with Vabysmo® (faricimab-svoa) in approximately 60 treatment-naïve patients with DME. Patients are planned to receive three monthly doses followed by an additional four-month follow-up period to assess durability of effect. Key outcome measures include the same functional and anatomic measurements as in Part 1. First patient dosing is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, with initial data expected in the second half of 2027. The Company is also planning to develop SZN-8141 in neovascular age-related macular degeneration and is evaluating development in other retinal vascular diseases.

About SZN-8143 for Retinal Diseases
Surrozen is developing SZN-8143 for the treatment of DME, wet AMD, and uveitic macular edema (UME). SZN-8143 combines FZD4 agonism, VEGF antagonism, and interleukin-6 (IL-6) antagonism and may have benefits over single mechanism agents against these targets. The current standard of care for diabetic retinopathy (including DME), retinal vein occlusion and wet AMD is intravitreal administration of anti-VEGF therapies, including monotherapies and dual-pathway agents targeting VEGF and Ang-2. In addition, Merck’s remigromig, a FZD4 monotherapy, achieved its primary endpoint in a Phase 2b/3 clinical trial in DME, supporting the therapeutic potential of Wnt pathway activation in retinal vascular disease. The Company believes SZN-8143 has the potential to treat multiple retinopathy indications and be differentiated from existing therapies. Data generated in preclinical models of retinopathy demonstrated that SZN-8143 stimulated Wnt signaling and induced normal retinal vessel regrowth while suppressing pathological vessel growth.
