Statistically significant benefits observed in bezisterim-treated Long COVID patients
in pre-specified subgroups with high baseline fatigue, cognitive impairment, and/or post‑exertional malaise

Bezisterim showed a consistent advantage over placebo on 21 out of 22 individual endpoints in the overall study population

An estimated 17–20 million U.S. adults live with Long COVID and currently have no FDA‑approved treatment options

Conference call scheduled for 8:30 a.m. today, September 15, 2026, to discuss results.

CARSON CITY, Nev., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BioVie Inc. (NASDAQ: BIVI) (“BioVie” or the “Company”), a clinical-stage company developing innovative drug therapies for neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, today announced topline results from the Company’s Phase 2 ADDRESS-LC trial (NCT06847191) evaluating its investigational drug candidate bezisterim, an oral drug that crosses the blood-brain barrier and is believed to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity, in Long COVID. In pre-specified subgroup analyses submitted to the FDA prior to data unblinding, patients with greater baseline burden on one or more symptoms (approximately 78% of trial participants) demonstrated statistically significant improvements on multiple clinically coherent endpoints. Bezisterim’s safety and tolerability profile was similar to placebo.

“I am excited by the findings in the ADDRESS-LC study. These results are among the most promising we have seen in this field so far and clearly warrant progressing to a confirmatory Phase III trial,” said Michael Peluso, MD, MHS, Associate Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco.   “If bezisterim can truly help the patients with high symptomatic burden, that would be a significant benefit for the patient community”

“We have not seen anything like this from any other trial,” commented Ezra Spier, Long COVID patient advocate and ADDRESS-LC Patient Advisor. “We have not seen results that are this clear or compelling before, and this could have a significant impact for Long COVID patients.”

The ADDRESS-LC trial was a Phase 2, multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled exploratory study that enrolled 203 patients to evaluate whether bezisterim could improve key neurological symptoms of Long COVID, including fatigue, brain fog, cognitive impairment and post-exertional malaise (PEM). The purpose of the Phase 2 trial was to identify the clinical endpoints where bezisterim may have the greatest effect and within which patient subpopulations. The ADDRESS-LC trial explored 22 different measures to assess clinical outcomes and a series of different biomarkers.

“The results suggest that bezisterim may help improve symptoms of fatigue, post‑exertional malaise, and cognitive impairments in patients with high symptom burden, which represents approximately 80% of patients who entered the trial. Patients who were not experiencing a meaningful symptom at the outset have little room to show improvement on that measure,” said Cuong Do, BioVie’s President and CEO. “Because fatigue, post‑exertional malaise, and cognitive dysfunction are defining features of the more severe and persistent Long COVID phenotypes1 described in RECOVER and other large cohort studies, we find it particularly encouraging that bezisterim demonstrated its strongest effects in patients experiencing these symptoms. To our knowledge, this is the first time a drug candidate has shown the ability to help patients improve across these persistent Long COVID symptoms.2 Thus, bezisterim may have the potential to become the first therapy for the neurological symptoms of Long COVID, if confirmed in our future Phase 3 trial.”

The enrolled patients were grouped into distinct symptom-severity segments based on baseline characteristics that were pre-specified in the Statistical Analysis Plan submitted to the FDA prior to unblinding; including patients with high severity of individual symptoms of fatigue, PEM and objective cognitive impairment, as well as those with two or more in combination. This wide spectrum of disease burden highlights the evolving understanding of the heterogeneity of the disease and the precision medicine approach needed to evaluate each patient segment with the most appropriate clinical endpoint.

Fig1 -- High Objective Cognitive Impairment

When the full Intent‑to‑Treat (ITT) population of 203 patients is evaluated without segmentation, bezisterim shows numerical trends favoring treatment over placebo across nearly all individual endpoints, as reflected in the Cohen’s d effect sizes. Cohen’s d quantifies the magnitude of difference between treatment and control groups, and a positive value indicates that the treatment effect was greater in the bezisterim arm than in the placebo arm. In this heterogenous ITT population, no individual endpoint reached statistical significance (p<0.05), likely because patients with low baseline symptom burden had little room to improve, which may have diluted the overall signal. Twenty-one of the 22 endpoints showed numerical trends favoring bezisterim.

Fig2 -- Cohen's D Effect Sizes

In pre-specified subgroup analyses, differential treatment effects emerged when focusing on patients with high baseline symptom burden. Despite reducing sample size (N), the treatment effect sizes more than doubled compared to the ITT population, as seen with higher Cohen’s d values, and the endpoints that reached statistical significance increased suggesting a coherent explanation for the clinical improvements. The most severe half of patients with fatigue symptoms showed statistically significant improvements on five endpoints (3 out of 5 of which are fatigue-specific), along with trends in post-exertional malaise and sleep. Patients with high post-exertional malaise experienced statistically significant improvements across malaise, fatigue, and objective cognitive measures. And patients who entered the trial with substantial objective cognitive impairment demonstrated statistically significant improvements on four clinically coherent objective cognitive endpoints. These subgroup findings are exploratory and require confirmation in an adequately powered prospective study. The summary “forest chart” chart below shows only those endpoints that reach statistically significant or are trending, and the charts for all endpoints can be found in the full data announcement presentation that will be discussed during today’s conference call.

Fig3 -- Pre-Specified Sub Group Cohen's D Effect Sizes

“I am super excited for the Long COVID community because of this data,” stated Grace McComsey, Professor of Medicine and infectious diseases researcher. “At Case Western Reserve University, we have been a part of almost every negative study so far. It’s great to see a trial showing such potential effectiveness while using a well-tolerated oral drug.”

“Research has demonstrated that Long COVID is not a single disease, but a complex and heterogeneous syndrome with multiple clinical and biological subtypes,” said Joseph Palumbo, MD, BioVie’s EVP of Research & Development and Chief Medical Officer. “A key challenge in clinical development is not only establishing efficacy but also identifying the patients most likely to benefit and understanding the drivers of that response. Consistent with observations from our other clinical programs, the ADDRESS-LC trial showed that patients with higher disease burden at baseline experienced the greatest and most rapid improvements with bezisterim treatment. These findings support an intuitive strategy for identifying the patients most likely to benefit from treatment, grounded in both clinical presentation and underlying biology. This approach has the potential to enhance clinical outcomes and guide the design of future registrational studies.”

Bezisterim’s safety and tolerability were similar to placebo. Overall, 41.6% of bezisterim patients experienced at least one treatment-emergent adverse event compared to 55.9% for placebo. The most frequently reported drug-related adverse event was headache, experienced by 4% of bezisterim-treated patients vs. 4.9% for placebo. No serious adverse events were reported in the bezisterim arm (vs. one in placebo). The safety findings are particularly important given the extensive concomitant medication use observed in the trial population.

Conference call to discuss results

BioVie management will host a conference call at 8:30 a.m. EDT today, September 15, 2026, to discuss the findings and results. A live Q&A session with management will follow the presentation.

About Long COVID

An estimated 17-20 million U.S. adults reported to be living with Long COVID,4 with 3.8 million experiencing significant limitation to their daily lives.5 Almost 50 percent of those with Long COVID develop persistent or intermittent symptoms.6 The neurological and neuropsychiatric symptoms are among the most common and disabling manifestations of the condition and include fatigue, PEM, sleep disturbance, and persistent sense of difficulty with thinking and memory.7 Chronic innate inflammation accompanied by ongoing immune dysregulation is among the leading hypotheses proposed to explain the symptoms in Long COVID, with numerous investigators describing findings in Long COVID that appear to be supportive of the intended biological targets of bezisterim. Currently, there are no FDA-approved treatment options for Long-COVID.

About the ADDRESS-LC trial

The Phase 2 ADDRESS-LC study (NCT06847191), which is fully funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of War (DoW), is a randomized (1:1), placebo-controlled, signal-finding proof-of-concept, multicenter trial evaluating the efficacy, safety and tolerability of bezisterim in adult participants with Long COVID who have cognitive impairment sequelae and fatigue. The study compared bezisterim, administered as a 20 mg oral capsule twice daily, with a matching placebo to assess its effects on neurocognitive and fatigue-related symptoms. The trial evaluated 22 clinical outcome measures, with no single endpoint pre-specified as the primary determinant of study success. Endpoints include assessing changes in overall clinical benefit, subjective and objective cognitive function, fatigue, sleep disturbance, Quality of Life and PEM. As a signal-finding study, the trial was designed to identify efficacy signals, measure treatment effect magnitude, and identify patient subgroups most likely to benefit, to inform the design of future Phase 3 trials

About Bezisterim

Bezisterim (NE3107) is an investigational oral drug that crosses the blood-brain barrier and works to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity without suppressing the immune system and with a low risk of drug-drug interactions. By modulating key pathways involved in neuroinflammation (ERK, NFκB, TNFα), bezisterim may have therapeutic potential in several disease indications, including Parkinson’s disease (PD), Long COVID (LC), and Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

In PD, BioVie completed the SUNRISE-PD trial, which enrolled 57 patients to establish proof of mechanism and proof of concept in individuals with early-stage disease who had not previously been treated with carbidopa/levodopa. Topline results showed that patients treated with bezisterim experienced improvements with blood-based markers of inflammation, as well as a broad range of biomarkers associated with cellular health and neuronal integrity. Clinically, patients treated with bezisterim demonstrated greater improvements than those receiving placebo across multiple measures of daily functioning, motor symptoms, and non-motor symptoms.

For LC, the ADDRESS-LC trial enrolled approximately 200 patients to evaluate whether bezisterim may help reduce brain fog, fatigue, and other lingering neurological symptoms associated with LC. The hypothesis being studied is that these symptoms may be triggered by persistent circulation of spike protein fragments that trigger inflammation via NFκB activation (which bezisterim has been shown to modulate).

In AD, BioVie has conducted Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials. Preliminary data from these trials suggest improvements in cognition and biomarkers, supporting further trials to evaluate its potential as a therapy for the six million Americans living with AD.

Terms of the U.S. Department of War (DoW) Award

The work is supported by the Assistant Secretary of War for Health Affairs and endorsed by the DoW by a fully funded award in the amount of $13.13 million through the Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP) under Award No. HT9425-24-1-0113. Opinions, interpretations, conclusions and recommendations in this press release are those of the author and are not necessarily endorsed by the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs or the DoW.

About BioVie Inc.

BioVie Inc. (NASDAQ: BIVI) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapies for neurological disorders and advanced liver disease. Its lead investigational drug candidate, bezisterim (NE3107), targets neuroinflammation and insulin resistance, which are believed to be key drivers of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Bezisterim is also being studied for Long COVID, where persistent inflammation is thought to underlie symptoms such as brain fog and fatigue.

In liver disease, BioVie is advancing BIV201, a continuous infusion of terlipressin treatment that has received FDA Orphan and Fast Track designations. The active agent is approved in the U.S. and in about 40 countries for related complications of advanced liver cirrhosis, and the Company plans to study BIV201 in a Phase 3 trial for the reduction of further decompensation in patients with cirrhosis and ascites. Xcelsior CNG 60-Foot

ST. CLOUD, Minn., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — (TSX: NFI, OTC: NFYEF, TSX: NFI.DB) NFI Group Inc. (NFI), a leading manufacturer of buses and motorcoaches and a provider of comprehensive aftermarket parts and service solutions, subsidiary New Flyer of America Inc. (New Flyer), today announced it has been awarded a contract from the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) for up to 45 sixty-foot Xcelsior® compressed natural gas (CNG) heavy-duty transit buses (90 equivalent units, or EUs).

The contract includes a firm order of 12 buses, with options for COTA to purchase up to 33 additional buses. The firm order will be added to New Flyer’s third quarter 2026 backlog, while the option buses will be added to the company’s option backlog.

The articulated Xcelsior CNG buses will replace end-of-life vehicles while supporting the launch of a new bus rapid transit (BRT) service in Columbus and surrounding communities. The purchase is supported by funding awarded through the Low or No Emission (Low-No) Grant Program, following New Flyer and COTA’s successful 2025 collaboration to secure funding for articulated CNG buses.

New Flyer has partnered with COTA since 2000, delivering more than 230 buses, including 102 CNG-powered buses. This latest award represents a new milestone in that relationship, marking COTA’s first purchase of 60-foot New Flyer articulated buses as the agency expands high-capacity transit service across Central Ohio.

“Bus rapid transit is transforming the way communities move, providing greater capacity and an enhanced passenger experience while supporting regional growth,” said Chris Stoddart, President, North American Bus and Coach, NFI. “Delivering COTA’s first 60-foot New Flyer articulated buses is an exciting milestone that reflects the agency’s vision for high-capacity transit and our shared commitment to supporting the future of mobility in central Ohio.”

“The addition of articulated buses to our fleet is another important step toward building the rapid transit system Central Ohio needs and deserves,” said Monica Tellez-Fowler, COTA President/CEO. “As our region continues to grow, we must invest in the capacity, infrastructure, and service needed to move more people efficiently and reliably. These vehicles will help us deliver on the promise of LinkUS and bring high-capacity rapid transit closer to reality for our customers and communities.”

Launched in 1974, COTA is the regional public transit authority serving the greater Columbus metropolitan area. Today, the agency provides fixed-route bus, bus rapid transit, paratransit, and microtransit services across the greater Columbus and Central Ohio area, serving approximately 1.3 million residents. COTA’s network carries more than 12 million passenger trips annually and continues to expand service to meet the transportation needs of one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States.

With the addition of New Flyer’s 60-foot Xcelsior CNG buses, COTA will further strengthen its investment in high-capacity transit designed to improve mobility, support regional growth, and enhance the customer experience along its BRT corridors.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) (FSE: 49Q) (BMV: ZENA) (“ZenaTech”), a technology solution provider specializing in AI (Artificial Intelligence) drone, Drone as a Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS, and Quantum Computing solutions, announces that it has completed the acquisition of Merritt Paul Land Surveying, LLC (Merritt Paul), a land surveying firm based in Franklin, Georgia. Founded in 2015, Merritt Paul has built a track record providing surveying services to the solar, transportation and construction industries, including work for a major national transportation company, and specializes in utility-scale solar surveys across the U.S. The company is licensed to preform land surveys in 17 states. The acquisition marks ZenaTech’s 29th Drone as a Service acquisition to date.

“This acquisition deepens our Drone as a Service platform in two of the fastest-growing verticals for aerial data collection: utility-scale solar and transportation infrastructure,” said Shaun Passley, Ph.D., ZenaTech CEO. “The drone solar inspection market alone is growing at 25% annually according to market analysts, and we see similar growth trajectory opportunities across railroad and airport infrastructure as operators move away from manual survey methods towards AI automation. Merritt Paul’s founders, Tyler Bius and Levi George, each bring more than a decade of specialized survey experience with major rail and airport clients, and their team’s deep sector expertise provides a strong platform to scale drone-based solar, rail and airport surveying.”

Merritt Paul provides topographic, ALTA, boundary, as-built and construction layout surveys, with a specialized focus on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the U.S. Their longstanding client base spans solar developers, transportation, construction, and municipal, county and state infrastructure customers in the Atlanta and Southwest Georgia areas.

Drone-based inspection is becoming the norm across utility-scale solar farms to identify underperforming panels, wiring faults and hot spots using thermal imaging, cutting inspection time and labor costs compared to manual walk-downs. The drone solar inspection market is projected to grow from $1.2 billion in 2024 to $6.8 billion by 2032, a CAGR of approximately 25%, according to Verified Market Research. Management believes this growth, paired with continued expansion of utility-scale solar capacity across the U.S., will drive increasing demand for drone-based inspection and survey services across solar assets.

Drone-based surveying is increasingly used to map rail corridors, inspect track beds, culverts and overhead infrastructure, and support construction staking and grading work at airports without disrupting active operations. High-resolution imagery, LiDAR and photogrammetry allow survey teams to capture rail corridor and runway-adjacent data faster and more safely than traditional ground crews. The broader inspection drone market, which covers infrastructure sectors including rail and aviation, is projected to grow from roughly $4 billion in 2025 to more than $12 billion by 2032, according to Fortune Business Insights. Management believes this growth, combined with tightening safety and compliance requirements, will continue to expand demand for drone-based survey and inspection services across rail networks and airport facilities.

ZenaTech’s Drone as a Service platform provides business and government customers with subscription-based drone services using its vertically integrated ZenaDrone drones, for a host of surveying, inspections, maintenance, power washing, and precision agriculture solutions—eliminating the need for customers to own, operate and maintain commercial-grade drone fleets. Through the acquisition of established, profitable but under digitized service businesses, ZenaTech is building a scalable global DaaS network and AI autonomy platform, with recurring revenue and an existing customer base, while integrating advanced drone technologies to deliver greater speed, precision, safety, and data-driven insights. The Company continues to expand its geographic footprint, service offerings, and drone capabilities to drive long-term growth.

MONTREAL, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Knight Therapeutics Inc. (“Knight”) (TSX: GUD), a pan-American (ex-US) pharmaceutical company, announced today that Knight’s New Drug Submission (NDS) for GEMTESA® (vibegron), proposed for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and urinary frequency in adults, and OAB with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, urinary frequency, and nocturia in adult males on pharmacological therapy for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), has been accepted for review by Health Canada.

“For patients living with overactive bladder, and for adult males managing OAB alongside BPH, having access to an effective treatment option can make a real difference in daily life,” said Samira Sakhia, President and Chief Executive Officer, Knight Therapeutics Inc. “The acceptance of our submission for GEMTESA® in Canada is an important step toward bringing this therapy to the patients who need it. At Knight, our commitment goes beyond building our portfolio. We are dedicated to improving access to innovative therapies that improve patient outcomes. We are also pleased to advance this milestone together with our partner, Sumitomo Pharma America Inc.”

In June 2025, Knight entered into exclusive supply and distribution agreements with Sumitomo’s Pharma America (SMPA) to commercialize GEMTESA®, as well as ORGOVYX® (relugolix) and MYFEMBREE® (relugolix/estradiol/norethindrone acetate) in Canada.

About GEMTESA®

GEMTESA® (vibegron) is marketed in the US for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and urinary frequency in adults and in adult males taking medication for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). GEMTESA® works by selectively targeting β3 adrenergic receptors to reduce OAB symptoms through the relaxation of the bladder detrusor muscle to increase capacity.1

GEMTESA® is a registered trademark of Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

About Overactive Bladder

Overactive Bladder (OAB) is a symptom syndrome characterized by urinary urgency, usually accompanied by increased urinary frequency and nocturia, with or without urgency incontinence, in the absence of urinary tract infection (UTI) or other obvious pathology.2,3 These symptoms are commonly associated with involuntary contractions of the detrusor muscle, although they can also result from other forms of lower urinary tract dysfunction.2 The pooled global prevalence of OAB was estimated at approximately 20%, with prevalence higher in women (nearly 22%) than in men (roughly 16%).4 Canadian population based estimates reported in the Canadian Urological Association (CUA) guideline from May 2017 indicate an overall prevalence of approximately 14 to 18%, with prevalence increasing with age.5

About Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a histologic diagnosis describing the proliferation of smooth muscle and epithelial cells within the prostatic transition zone, which commonly leads to enlargement of the prostate gland.6 In men presenting with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), the symptoms are frequently presumed to arise from bladder outlet obstruction caused by the enlarged prostate.6 Even when the bladder outflow obstruction is relieved surgically, storage symptoms consistent with overactive bladder (OAB) may persist; detrusor overactivity has been reported in approximately 20% to 40% of men.7 LUTS are conventionally divided into storage, voiding, and postmicturition symptoms.2 In the population-based EPIC study, storage symptoms were the most prevalent category among men (51.3%), exceeding both voiding (25.7%) and postmicturition (16.9%) symptoms.8

BPH becomes increasingly prevalent with age, and symptoms of OAB, which are often associated with BPH, are frequently misattributed to normal aging. In the United States, approximately 14 million men are living with BPH, and up to 75% of these individuals experience OAB symptoms.9,10 Despite this high prevalence, OAB symptoms in men often remain unrecognized, particularly in those with underlying BPH. It is estimated that up to 80% of OAB cases in men may go undiagnosed.11,12

About The COURAGE Trial

The COURAGE trial (NCT03902080; URO-901-3005) was a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating GEMTESA® 75 mg once daily versus placebo over 24 weeks in men ≥45 years of age with symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB) who were receiving pharmacological therapy with α-blockers, with or without 5α-reductase inhibitors, for BPH. Of 1,105 participants randomized 1:1 to vibegron or placebo, 965 (87.3%) completed the trial. The study met both co-primary endpoints at Week 12, demonstrating statistically significant reductions from baseline versus placebo in mean daily micturitions (least squares mean difference −0.74; 95% CI −1.02, −0.46; P < .0001) and urgency episodes (−0.95; 95% CI −1.37, −0.54; P < .0001). GEMTESA® also met all prespecified secondary endpoints, with significant reductions versus placebo in nocturia episodes and urge urinary incontinence (UUI) episodes. Adverse events occurring in ≥ 2% of participants were hypertension, COVID-19, UTI, and hematuria.13

About The EMPOWUR Trial

EMPOWUR was a 12-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 study evaluating vibegron 75 mg versus placebo in adults with OAB, as part of an extensive development program involving more than 4,000 OAB patients. The study demonstrated that treatment with GEMTESA® resulted in statistically significant reductions in daily urge urinary incontinence episodes, micturition episodes, and urgency episodes, as well as an increase in volume voided, compared to placebo. A long-term extension of the EMPOWUR study was also conducted under double-blind conditions. The most common adverse reactions reported in 2% or more of patients treated with GEMTESA® were headache, nasopharyngitis, diarrhea, nausea, and upper respiratory tract infection.1,14

Vancouver, BC, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Trident Resources Corp. (TSXV: ROCK) (OTCQB: TRDTF) (Frankfurt: 6BP0) (“Trident” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the fixed-wing low level tight drape high resolution radiometric and magnetic survey over the Reindeer Gold Project (the “Reindeer Project”) has been completed. The survey comprised over 6,600-line km and covered the entirety of the early stage 29,300-hectare property located in Saskatchewan’s underexplored La Ronge Gold Belt (“LRGB”).

Reindeer Gold Project Survey Details:

The Reindeer Project is host to multiple documented mineral occurrences and straddles over 40km of the Duck Lake Shear Zone, an important geologic structure that marks the contact between the La Ronge and Kisseynew lithostructural domains. This boundary is intimately associated with several past-producing mines, existing gold deposits and numerous gold occurrences throughout the LRGB.

The combined radiometric and magnetic survey featured 50m line spacing with 250m tie-lines to produce high-resolution data that will help to delineate lithologic boundaries and geologic structures that could host undiscovered gold deposits. The survey area at Reindeer also features three distinct strands of the regional Tabbenor Fault System, host to SSR’s Seabee Gold Project located 80km south of Reindeer.

 Reindeer Project Map:
https://www.tridentresourcescorp.com/_resources/maps/Reindeer-Property-Map.jpg

Contact Lake Drone Magnetic Survey:

In addition to the airborne geophysical survey over Reindeer, Trident also announces that a tightly spaced (25m) drone magnetic survey is underway at the Contact Lake Gold Property. The drone-based survey will cover a large (8 km2) area that includes the Contact Lake mine site and an area that hosts intersecting shear structures with coincident gold-in-soil and gold-in-rock anomalies.

In 2026, Trident has already completed over 2500 soil samples in the area encompassed by the drone survey. The combined surface, magnetic and existing drill data will be used to understand the controlling structures and locate near-term drill targets at Contact Lake.

Contact Lake 2026 Exploration Program Update:

The 2026 summer drill program at Contact Lake has just surpassed 11,000m of an anticipated 20,000m. Drilling is focused on extending the known high-grade mineralization at depth and along strike.

In addition to the ambitious drill program, Trident is conducting a comprehensive soil sampling program (9000 samples) at both Contact Lake and the adjacent Preview project, which hosts the Preview SW and Preview North deposits.

Soil grids at Preview will cover highly prospective areas along the Preview mineralized trend between the two deposits and southwest of Preview SW, where existing magnetic survey data outlines compelling exploration targets.

Contact Lake Gold Property Map:
http://www.tridentresourcescorp.com/_resources/maps/contact-lake-property-map.jpg

Contact Lake Gold Project Overview:

The Contact Lake Gold Project covers approximately 22,790 hectares and includes the past-producing Contact Lake gold mine, which produced approx. 190,000 ounces of gold at an average head grade of 6.16 g/t Au during active mining operations between 1994 to 1998.

At the time of mine closure, the price of gold hovered around $300/oz (USD) and Cameco Corporation reported that substantial gold resources were left unmined. Situated in the highly prospective La Ronge Gold Belt of Saskatchewan, the Contact Lake Property also hosts the Preview SW, Preview North and the North Lake orogenic gold deposits.

Along with the Greywacke North deposit (located by road 40km northeast of Contact Lake), these four deposits are wholly-owned by Trident Resources and host current Mineral Resource Estimates (Trident news release November 24, 2025) which do not include any gold-related ounces from the past-producing Contact Lake target area.

District-Scale Exploration Strategy:

Trident intends to advance its assets in the under-explored LRGB through focused drilling, prospecting, surface sampling and geophysical surveys to unlock potentially immense value in an emerging gold-rich district.

Trident’s large land package of 98,700 hectares within the LRGB is strategically located to cover numerous mineral occurrences associated with the highly prospective boundary between the La Ronge and Kisseynew lithostructural domains, a compelling exploration target area that helps forms the thesis of Trident’s exploration strategy.

Trident’s Regional Project Location Map:
https://www.tridentresourcescorp.com/projects/contact-lake-gold-project/#&gid=1&pid=1

“We continue to build out the compelling district and regional-scale potential of the La Ronge Gold Belt,” said Jon Wiesblatt, CEO of Trident Resources. “Our expansive land position of nearly 100,000 hectares gives Trident a critical competitive advantage in this emerging gold district, underpinning a resource base of over 2.0 million ounces across four wholly-owned deposits – and notably, this figure excludes any ounces from our past-producing, high-grade Contact Lake gold mine, which we believe holds substantial additional upside.

With a strong balance sheet and a fully funded 2026 exploration program, Trident is well positioned to aggressively advance its district-scale strategy. Looking ahead, shareholders can expect a steady stream of catalysts over the remainder of the year, including assay results from our 20,000 metre summer and fall drill programs, as we work to unlock the full potential of the belt.”

Reindeer Project Acquisition Details:

The Company elected to accelerate its earn-in on the Reindeer Project and has issued 1,000,000 common shares of the Company to Reinco Exploration Limited (“Reinco”) to complete the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Reindeer Project, ahead of the schedule set out in the original option agreement.

Under the option agreement dated September 8, 2025, Trident could earn up to a 100% interest in the Reindeer Project in three stages: a 50% interest through a $35,000 cash payment and the issuance of 1,000,000 common shares at closing; a 75% interest through the issuance of a further 500,000 common shares within the first anniversary of the agreement; and a 100% interest through the issuance of a final 500,000 common shares within the second anniversary.

Having already completed the first stage, the Company has now opted to accelerate and complete the remaining two stages together, issuing the combined 1,000,000 common shares to bring its interest in the Reindeer Project to 100%, well ahead of the original timeline.

All shares issued to Reinco remain subject to a four-month statutory hold period in accordance with applicable securities laws and the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Results continue to validate targeting approach

Vancouver, British Columbia, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Assays from three more drill holes at North American Niobium and Critical Minerals Corp.’s (CSE: NIOB) (FSE: KS82.F) (OTCQB: NIOMF) (“NIOB” or the “Company”) Bardy property in Québec confirm previously announced visual observations. Holes BBY-2026-001, BBY-2026-002, and BBY-2026-005 have all intersected pegmatite. These assay results are in addition to those from BBY-2026-006, which intersected an 8.0-metre interval of syenitic pegmatite from 139.70 m to 147.70 m, including a 0.20-metre zone that included allanite in the core.

“The goal of our 2026 diamond drilling program at Bardy was to intersect niobium and rare earth bearing systems,” said Murray Nye, NIOB’s Chief Executive Officer, “and the latest results show that we are on the right track. Bardy’s eight holes were all collared at targets where radon data, high resolution magnetics, and surface mapping all intersect, and we’re pleased that the results continue to be validated.”

Highlights from assays

  • Hole BBY-2026-001: 2.05 m from 133.75 m to 135.8 m averaging 0.43% total rare earth oxides (TREO); the composite came from a small syeno-granitic pegmatite intrusion and surrounding rocks. The intrusion was slightly magnetic and contained biotite.
  • Hole BBY-2026-002: 14.6 m from 132.4 m to 147 m averaging 0.12% TREO; the composite of high rare earth element (REE) grades was found within an intermediate intrusive rock (monzonite/mangerite) cut by small syeno-granitic pegmatitic injections.
  • Smaller intervals with REE ≥ 0.1% that didn’t make it as composites were found in holes BBY-2026-001, BBY-2026-002, and BBY-2026-005. Details are presented in Table 1 and shown on the cross sections of figures 1 and 2, along with the composites.

Table 1: Additional intervals TREO% results

Hole ID From (m) To (m) Length (m) TREO (%) Rock type
BBY-2026-001 16 17.5 1.5 0.12 Magnetic leuconorite
BBY-2026-001 104.2 104.95 0.75 0.29 Pegmatite with biotite-magnetite clusters and local radioactivity halo, trace allanite locally
BBY-2026-001 104.95 105.7 0.75 0.31
BBY-2026-002 34 34.95 0.95 0.14 Magnetic pegmatite
BBY-2026-002 82 83.1 1.1 0.12 Locally magnetic pegmatite
BBY-2026-005 145.5 146.7 1.2 0.1 Pegmatite dyke with 10% magnetite

Note: Composite intervals were calculated with a cutoff grade of 0.1% TREO, and a maximum of 2 m of internal dilution.

Drilling and geological context
Bardy is part of NIOB’s district-scale critical-minerals land package in Québec’s Grenville Province.

Holes BBY-2026-001 and BBY-2026-002 are located to the East of the Bardy showing, and hole BBY-2026-005 is located to the West (Figure 3). BBY-2026-001 and BBY-2026-005 were meant to test lateral continuity of Bardy’s mineralized dyke. BBY-2026-002 was testing a N110˚ radon anomaly trend.

All holes intersected sequences of intrusive rocks (from felsic to mafic) cutting through the gneiss. Small (< 3 m) pegmatite injections are seen in all three holes.

The presence of allanite within the REE-bearing rocks was noted locally, but magnetite is present in all contexts.

It was also noted that, even if pegmatites are the main REE-hosting rocks, other intrusives (mafic to intermediate) could also bear mineralization. This is interesting knowing the Bardy sector has a complex intrusion history that has yet to be clarified.

Hole BBY-2026-001 was collared at 619303E/ 5271335N (UTM NAD83 Zone 18) and drilled at an azimuth of 10˚ and a dip of -50˚. It reached a depth of 150 m.

Hole BBY-2026-002 was also collared at 619303E/ 5271335N (UTM NAD83 Zone 18) and drilled at an azimuth of 190˚ and a dip of -50˚. It reached a depth of 153 m.

Hole BBY-2026-005 was collared at 619142E/ 5271187N (UTM NAD83 Zone 18) and drilled at an azimuth of 0˚ and a dip of -50˚. It reached a depth of 150 m.

Next Steps

  1. Sample the remaining monzonite from 102.6m to 132.4m in hole BBY-2026-002 for REE with additional WRA (whole rock analysis) to best qualify the host rock.
  2. Follow-up on upcoming assay results on the Bardy sector for a broader interpretation.

Quality assurance and quality control
Samples were submitted to SGS Canada Inc. Rare earth elements were determined by sodium-peroxide-fusion ICP-MS (SGS method GE_IMS91A50).

Quality control included certified reference materials, blanks and field duplicates inserted into the sample stream (approximately 13% of submitted samples). The reported samples are NQ-size half-core, split along the core axis and sampled over intervals of approximately 0.5 to 1.0 m, with the remaining half-core retained for reference.

Core recovery through the mineralized intervals averaged approximately 95-97% and is not considered to have materially affected sample representivity.

SGS Canada Inc. is independent of the Company and operates an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited analytical facility at Val d’Or, Québec.
