Cisco – Scan, Eat, Learn: Wearable Devices Help Young Learners in Africa Thrive

60% of children in Kenya can’t count on three meals a day. For children in underserved communities across Africa, education remains the surest path to a more secure future — and yet hunger inhibits learning and optimal development for a majority of the country’s young people. It is much harder to learn on an empty stomach.

Wawira Njiru, Founder and Executive Director of Food4Education, understood from the start that technology was key to scaling up her operation dramatically enough to meet the daily nutritional needs of hundreds of thousands of young learners. Her organization created a deeply tech-based solution to help eliminate hunger and ensure that school-going children have access to a healthy meal.

Food4Education’s innovative Tap2Eat system—a smart payment solution—ensures that children in Kenya receive nutritious meals at school. By using a wearable wristband linked to a mobile wallet, children can easily scan, eat, and focus on learning without worrying about hunger.

Scaling up from 3,000 to over 500,000 meals served daily

In 2018, Cisco awarded the Global Citizen Prize for Youth Leadership to Wawira to create and test this technology. At the time, the organization was feeding 3,000  children a day in Kenya. The funding enabled her organization to scale from feeding 3,000 children a day to 10,000 children a day while also developing their Tap2Eat app and platform.

In 2022, we provided a technology grant of Webex, Meraki, and Cisco Umbrella technologies. Our technology enables Food4Education to collect and use data analytics to enhance their operations and offerings, mitigate cyber threats, and securely connect their operations, platform, and program offerings. We also provided a cash grant to enable further development and scaling of their program to support 100,000 children a day.

Today, over 500,000 children can Tap2Eat lunch at school daily using the Tap2Eat mobile app and wristband. The wristband utilizes Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable seamless transactions, ensuring students receive meals without the need for cash or physical contact.

Sophisticated analytics and technology to optimize outcomes

The system also verifies meal delivery to children and sends real-time data directly to Food4Education’s operational dashboards. This system ensures accurate tracking of meal quantities and uptake, enabling predictive analytics and more effective meal planning for the future.

Parents, philanthropy, and government all contribute to the cost of daily meals—keeping the program steady, scalable, and sustainable.

The effectiveness of the solution is undeniable—and the children are getting nourished in more ways than one. As Wawira puts it, “Every lunchtime, they’ll just go tap, so it gives parents a very high level of visibility,” she said, “but it also gives children a sense of ownership and a sense of excitement.”

In schools that serve meals through Tap2Eat, truancy is almost zero. Academic performance is improving, and attendance has increased by up to 30% in many areas.

Collaborating to achieve exponential impact

Cisco’s partnership with Food4Education, the innovative use of technology, and a dynamic business strategy based on community-centric solutions to longstanding challenges have helped the program grow and thrive.

Food4Education is a social impact partner that embodies our shared values around basic nutrition and quality education for everyone, while also demonstrating the power of our incubator model for nonprofits. Through our unique approach, we scout for great ideas and dynamic founders, and then support their early-stage, tech-enabled concepts through implementation, validation, and scaling.

For Cisco, funding great ideas is only the beginning. We bring the best of Cisco—our technology, our expertise, and our innovation—to the relationship. Setting our non-profit partners up for long term success and sustainability is always our goal. And it’s a goal shared with Wawira and Food4Education—as she puts it: “I could write a book about our wonderful relationship with Cisco!”

She explains, “Cisco has given us follow-on funding to improve our use of technology across the organization, from using Meraki across our operation, finding ways to connect all our devices that are used in Tap2Eat across a huge network of schools, to helping us in terms of our conferencing and our ability to communicate and collaborate better.”

See the story in motion

With Cisco’s support, Food4Education is changing hundreds of thousands of lives every day—and counting—fostering the next generation of learners and preparing them to participate fully in the modern economy. To get the full story, watch our newly released documentary-style video.

Powering Smart Homes for Today’s Visionary Builders and Homeowners

The U.S. homebuilding industry is undergoing a pivotal transformation. Supply chain disruptions, evolving consumer expectations and rapid technological change are not just shifting the landscape – they’re redefining what it means to build a home.

According to the NAHB, two-thirds of buyers want connected homes. In just a few years, nearly half of all homeowners are expected to have multiple smart devices integrated into their living spaces. And the 2025 Builder 100 conference made it clear: more than half of today’s buyers expect smart home technology, and nearly 80% are willing to invest more in homes that provide it.

With the global smart home market projected to surpass $400 billion by 2027 (Source: Allied Market Research), one thing is certain: connected living is not a niche. It’s the future of housing – and it’s arriving faster than many builders anticipated.

Smart Technology Is Now a Strategic Imperative

Today’s leading builders aren’t waiting to react – they’re proactively shaping their portfolios around AI-driven systems and connected infrastructure that deliver lasting value. In fact, over 60% of U.S. builders already include smart home features in new construction (Source: Statista), a figure that’s only growing as digital capabilities become a buyer expectation.

To meet this moment, LG launched LG Pro Builder, a dedicated division delivering integrated smart home solutions designed for modern residential construction. In just over a year, it has become the fastest-growing segment of our U.S. home appliance business – not because of volume, but because we’re helping builders reimagine the home as an intelligent, sustainable platform for connected living.

What the Future-Ready Builder Gains

  • Strategic Partnership: We collaborate directly with builders and distributors, from architectural planning to post-sale service, ensuring every project reflects a unified, connected vision.
  • Holistic Ecosystem: Our connected platform empowers homes with AI-driven systems that work together intuitively, helping builders differentiate their offerings and deliver exceptional living experiences.
  • Operational Simplicity: With LG, builders gain a single-source partner for everything from energy-efficient HVAC and advanced heat pump water heaters to premium appliances and home entertainment solutions – simplifying procurement and improving reliability.
  • Tangible ROI: Smart homes don’t just meet expectations – they outperform. CEPro reports smart features can increase a home’s resale value by up to 5% and shorten time on market.

What the Modern Homeowner Expects

  • Tech-Forward Living: With millennials and Gen Zs leading the charge as first-time buyers, expectations have shifted. A full 86% of millennials say they’re willing to pay more for a smart home, underscoring the importance of embedded technology in new builds.
  • Control and Convenience: Homeowners increasingly expect the ability to monitor, manage, and optimize their home from their phone – whether they’re adjusting climate settings, managing laundry cycles or preparing dinner remotely.
  • Smarter Sustainability: Intelligent systems that optimize energy use aren’t just a luxury; they’re a growing expectation among buyers who value efficiency, cost savings and environmental responsibility.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Homeowners want peace of mind. That’s why predictive alerts and remote diagnostics are emerging as essential features for both individual buyers and property managers.
  • Technology that Evolves: Future-forward appliances that can receive feature and security upgrades over time ensure that today’s homes remain cutting-edge tomorrow – a critical advantage in an increasingly digital world.

At LG, we’re helping to lead this new era of residential living. Through integrated technology, forward-looking design and a relentless commitment to innovation, we’re partnering with builders to deliver homes that are not only smarter, but also more sustainable, resilient and responsive to the way people live now.

Let’s not just build homes. Let’s build what’s next. Learn more.

HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS Signs Long-Term Supply MOU with Tata Steel (Thailand) for Lower-Carbon Steel Wire Materials

  • Strategic raw material agreement supports the plan to triple eco-friendly steel tire cord sales by 2027
  • Expands sustainable product portfolio to align with global tire manufacturers’ low-carbon sourcing goals

SEOUL, South Korea, June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tata Steel (Thailand) on June 18th for the procurement of lower-carbon steel wire materials.

Under the agreement, HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS will secure a reliable supply of low-emission steel wire materials required for the production of steel tire cord. Tata Steel (Thailand), a subsidiary of India’s Tata Group, uses electric arc furnace (EAF) technology to produce steel from recycled scrap metal. Compared to traditional blast furnace operations, EAF production achieves significantly higher energy efficiency and reduces carbon emissions by approximately 60%. By utilizing these materials as raw inputs, HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS can produce and supply eco-friendly steel tire cords with significantly reduced carbon footprints.

Given their higher margins compared to traditional steel products, eco-friendly steel tire cords are expected to strengthen the profitability and competitiveness of HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS’ steel tire cord operations.

“We are pleased to formalize this agreement, which ensures long-term access to environmentally responsible steel,” said Nak Yang Seong, CEO of HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS. “This aligns with our strategy to support global tire makers in their shift toward sustainable materials.”

Steel tire cords produced by HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS are crucial reinforcement materials that enhance tire durability and maintain shape stability. The importance of high-strength steel cords is growing alongside the expanding electric vehicle tire market. Furthermore, as demand for sustainable raw materials grows across developed markets, particularly in Europe, sales of eco-friendly steel tire cords are steadily rising. HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS aims to expand the sales share of its eco-friendly steel tire cord products from 5% in 2025 to 15% in 2027.

HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED MATERIALS’ commitment to sustainability management was recognized last October when the company received the Platinum Medal from EcoVadis — the highest distinction awarded to the top 1% of over 130,000 companies across 180+ countries by the global supply chain ESG ratings provider. In December, the company was also added to the Dow Jones Sustainable Management Index (DJSI) Korea for the second consecutive year, one of global leading ESG benchmarks.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON: TWO WEEKS TO GO UNTIL HUBLOT STARTS THE CLOCK ON UEFA WOMEN’S EURO 2025™

FOOTBALL COMES TO SWITZERLAND THIS SUMMER WITH THE UEFA WOMEN’S EURO 2025™. HUBLOT, THE FIRST WATCH IN FOOTBALL, WILL TIME EVERY MINUTE AS THE TOURNAMENT’S OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER

NYON, Switzerland, June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Two weeks to go! The UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™ begins on Wednesday July 2 and Hublot will be there to time every minute. The festival of football will be contested by 16 teams across eight venues in Hublot’s home country of Switzerland. As the first luxury Swiss watch in football, Hublot will serve as the tournament’s Official Timekeeper, reprising its role from when the event was held in England three years ago.

Hublot will be highly visible throughout the tournament, with on-screen graphics for television audiences, and of course, by providing the iconic pitch-side Big Bang Fourth Official’s Board to announce substitutions and added time. The famous Hublot black-and-white logo will pop up on the LED screens that surround the pitch during matches and on giant screens at host stadia, too.

Match-day officials will wear the Hublot Big Bang e Gen3 connected watch, a state-of-the-art smartwatch created exclusively for referees and their assistants. The watch is equipped with features designed to enhance the officials’ performance, including monitoring yellow cards and added time at the end of a game.

Meanwhile, many players, coaches and pundits will also be clocked during the tournament sporting watches from the Hublot collection, among them the bright, colorful, innovative novelties introduced at April’s Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang, Hublot’s game-changing luxury sports watch.

Hublot is also delighted to announce that two greats of the women’s game will take to the field this summer as Hublot Friends of the Brand. The innovative luxury Swiss watchmaker is proud to work with Norway’s legendary Ada Hegerberg, Friend of the Brand since 2019, the first winner of the Ballon d’Or Féminin (awarded to the world’s best female footballer) and all-time highest goalscorer in history of the UEFA Women’s Champions League™.

And this year, Hublot is excited to welcome into the Hublot family of elite athletes the Spanish superstar Aitana Bonmatí. At just 27, Aitana is widely considered to be one of the greatest footballers ever to grace the game. During her dynamic career, the FC Barcelona Féminin midfielder has won countless club trophies and individual awards, including the Ballon d’Or for two consecutive years, in 2023 and 2024. She helped turn Spain’s national side into a world-beating force. She was also named the winner of the Golden Ball as the best player of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, driving Spain to their first FIFA World Cup™ win in front of record crowds. She takes Spain into this summer’s tournament as favorites to lift the trophy.

Both Ada and Aitana will be modeling pieces from the bright, colorful Big Bang One Click Joyful collection in Hublot’s summer campaign celebrating the tournament. Ada will wear the One Click Joyful Steel Pink, a 33mm steel piece on a white and pink-lined rubber strap that has 36 pink sapphires set into the bezel; Aitana will wear the One Click Joyful Steel Orange, a version of the same watch but on a white and orange-lined rubber strap with 36 orange sapphires set into the bezel.

Hublot has a long history in the game of football. In 2006, it became the first luxury Swiss watch company to invest in the world’s most popular sport when it entered into a partnership with the Swiss national team. That quickly blossomed into a deeper relationship with the sport as Hublot became the Official Watch for UEFA Euro 2008™ and then in 2010 became the Official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup™.

Hublot has timed every major international men’s football tournament since, adding UEFA competitions such as the UEFA Champions League™ and the English Premier League™, the most-watched sports league in the world. In 2023, Hublot showed its commitment to developing the women’s game by becoming the Official Timekeeper of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand™. Hublot also counts stars of the game including FIFA World Cup™ winner Kylian Mbappé among its ambassadors.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™ begins on July 2, by hosts Switzerland as they go up against two-time winners Norway in Basel. All 31 tournament fixtures will run on Hublot time, including the final in Basel on Sunday July 27.

“As the first luxury Swiss watch in football, it’s with a heady mix of pride and excitement that Hublot takes on the role of Official Timekeeper at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025™. Summer football tournaments are always a joy, but this one feels special. Why? Partly because it’s hosted here in our home country of Switzerland, and partly because we’re so thrilled to be working with two of the greatest players ever to the grace the beautiful game of football in Ada and Aitana, who we welcome into the Hublot family with enormous gratitude. There is so much we can do together to promote not just the women’s game, but also to achieve great things off the pitch. The fusion of Hublot and football has huge power and together we can reach new heights, making a positive, lasting impact on people’s lives all over the world. On behalf of everyone here at Hublot, it’s my pleasure to wish the players, coaches and fans of all 16 countries taking part the very best of luck this summer. We look forward to hosting you in beautiful Switzerland and we can’t wait to set the clock running on the tournament. Here’s to a summer festival of fantastic football!” stated Julien Tornare, Hublot CEO.

HUBLOT

In 1980 and for the first time, a watch dared to put a gold case on a rubber strap, turning the luxury watch world upside down in the process. Named for the porthole-shaped bezel with its exposed screws, Hublot was born and with it, the Art of Fusion.

In 2005 the brand took this exercise in creative thinking to a new level with the Big Bang and its iconic design, size and layered construction case. That same year, Hublot received the Best Design award at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Since then, spurred by this revolutionary mindset, the Big Bang has never stopped reinventing itself. The twenty-first century has its first watch Icon.

The concept of fusion is omnipresent, the guiding principle for every collection. Big Bang timepieces reshape the geometries of time; Classic Fusion balances boldness and restraint, while the Exceptional Timepieces overwrite expectations to create unprecedented horological objects. With its disruptive approach of challenging convention, Hublot’s DNA is transcribed in the Unico, Meca-10 and tourbillon in-house movements, to add another tier of meaning to the Art of Fusion.

Alchemy is ingrained into Hublot and not just at La Manufacture. Magic can take place on a football pitch, producing partnerships with major events (UEFA Champions League and UEFA EuroTM). Sometimes it happens at a concert, a basketball match, an artistic performance or at a unique gastronomic experience with Hublot’s family of starred Chefs. And so, the Hublot Vibes come to life, through shared moments of exaltation amongst the Hublotistas, its very own community of proud Hublot owners. The Art of Fusion goes beyond the tangible. It is a way of being, the Hublot way of life.

BIG BANG 20TH ANNIVERSARY – A CELEBRATION OF THE BIG BANG REVOLUTIONARY MINDSET

In 2005 the Big Bang marked the advent of a new era in watchmaking, more closely attuned than ever to the privileges of its name. Few timepieces have transformed contemporary watchmaking like the Big Bang. Twenty years after its launch, it remains the incarnation of a Manufacture that constantly pushes the boundaries of the unknown. Through exclusive materials and in-house movements, led by the Unico and the Meca-10, the Big Bang breaks with tradition —a notion it has never completely embraced. Singular for its bold aesthetic, plural for its versatility, this is the Big Bang.

Communities Worldwide Prepare to #ShowYourStripes on June 21

A global initiative turns climate science into conversation

PRINCETON, N.J., June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — On Friday, June 21, meteorologists, journalists, scientists, content creators, and communities across the globe will join Show Your Stripes Day. This growing global initiative aims to raise awareness about human-caused climate change through a striking visual language: the Warming Stripes.

Warming Stripes are a virtual time machine showing warming since pre-industrial years. Find your local stripes here.

At the heart of this campaign is a simple, powerful graphic: each stripe represents a year, with blue tones for cooler-than-average years and red for warmer ones. These data-driven visuals, developed by climate scientist Ed Hawkins, transform more than a century of temperature records into a compelling snapshot of our warming world.

The stripes don’t just show global warming. They localize it. Participants can explore how average temperatures have changed in their own cities, states, or countries, helping to spark public engagement and climate dialogue rooted in lived experience. This year’s effort is led by Climate Central, with support from VoLo Foundation, a nonprofit committed to accelerating science-based climate solutions.

Why It Matters
“VoLo Foundation Co-Founder and Trustee Thais Lopez Vogel underscores the importance of data in driving action: “Global warming isn’t just an opinion. It’s a fact. Data moves us from debate to action. Here’s how temperatures are rising where you live.”

The more people understand the rising harms of our changing climate to the people, places, and things they love, the more they will move toward action,” emphasized Bernadette Woods Placky, VP of Engagement, Climate Matters Director, and Chief Meteorologist at Climate Central.

How to #ShowYourStripes:

  • Download Your Stripes: Get the global image at showyourstripes.info  or go to  Climate Central’s interactive platform to generate a free graphic for your city, state, or country.
  • Show Off Your Stripes: Share the graphic on social media, set it as your profile picture, post it in group chats, or drop it in your workplace Slack or Teams.
  • Tag and Amplify: Use the hashtag #ShowYourStripes and tag @ClimateCentral to spread the word.
  • Tell the Story: Share why you’re showing your stripes. Personal stories can turn data into action.

These graphics, grounded in the latest science, also highlight the link between rising global temperatures and extreme weather events such as heat waves, hurricanes, droughts, and wildfires.

By participating in #ShowYourStripes, individuals and institutions help make climate change visible, local, and urgent, one conversation at a time.

Mobile industry emissions down 8%, but pace must double to hit net zero

LONDON, June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The mobile industry’s operational emissions fell by 8% between 2019 and 2023, even as mobile connections grew by 9% and data traffic quadrupled, according to the GSMA’s fifth annual Mobile Net Zero report released today.

GSMA Logo

The mobile industry has successfully started to decouple emissions from data and connectivity growth – a stark contrast to global emissions, which have increased 4% since 2019.

However, to continue progress and keep net zero by 2050 on track, emissions must fall by 7.5% annually until 2030 – more than twice the average annual rate to date.

Key findings include:

  • Preliminary 2024 data suggests a further 4.5% drop in emissions – an acceleration on previous years, but still short of the 7.5% annual reduction needed to 2030.
  • 37% of electricity used by operators disclosing to CDP came from renewables in 2023 – avoiding 16 million tonnes of emissions.
  • 81 mobile operators (covering nearly half of global connections) have set or committed to science-based targets.
  • Europe (-56%), NA (-44%), and LatAm (-36%) lead in operational emissions reductions between 2019 and 2023.
  • New analysis of China shows operational emissions fell by 4% in 2024 – the first recorded decline.

The acceleration in decarbonisation is driven by operator actions to improve network energy efficiency and transition to clean energy, including solar and battery storage, while reducing reliance on diesel generators.

Encouraging new analysis was published today to frame discussions at MWC25 Shanghai in China – where there are more than one billion 5G connections. Preliminary 2024 data shows a 4% operational emissions reduction year-on-year driven by a more than quadrupling in renewable energy use by operators. As the industry’s largest single market, China’s progress is instrumental in achieving global net zero targets.

Steven Moore, Head of Climate Action at the GSMA, comments: “Our findings show the mobile industry isn’t greenwashing or greenwishing – it’s green acting. Emissions are trending in the right direction, but the pace of progress must now double.

“This is a global effort, and it’s encouraging to see momentum building across every region – from Latin America to Europe and especially to China.

But to sustain this progress, we need broader support: better access to renewables, more policy certainty, and stronger collaboration across the ecosystem. Climate transition plans will play an increasingly important role in navigating what comes next.”

Hypermine closes seed funding round to maximise mineral recovery and minimise environmental impact

With demand for critical minerals like copper surging, Hypermine’s laser-based hyperspectral mineralogy sensor, developed at VTT, boosts decision accuracy by hundredfold, improves profit by up to 10%, and slashes energy and water use.

ESPOO, Finland, June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Hypermine spinout of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, has today announced the successful closure of its seed funding round. The funding round consists of private equity investments from Stephen Industries and Sage Enterprises, as well as an IPR investment from VTT. The funding will be used to strengthen Hypermine’s team, support current customers and acquire new customers, as well as achieve profitable growth.

The demand for minerals is rapidly increasing across multiple industries, driven by global urbanisation, the clean energy transition, and growing agricultural needs. Critical materials like iron and aluminum are essential for construction, while agriculture faces rising pressure to secure non-renewable minerals such as potash and phosphates for fertiliser production.

Clean energy technologies, including electric vehicles and battery storage systems, are driving unprecedented demand for minerals such as copper, cobalt, and lithium. Among them, copper has become a particular concern. Analysts warn that global supply is falling short of projected needs, raising alarms about the impact on climate transition targets. The shortage is influencing geopolitical strategies and prompting renewed attention to the role of mining technology. Rather than relying solely on increased exploration, the industry is looking to innovation in mineral processing and extraction methods to address the growing gap between supply and demand.

Finding ore is not enough, however. The lower the quality of ore, meaning the less of the minerals it contains, the more must be mined. This results in more waste, higher consumption of energy and water, poorer efficiency due to low recovery rates, and increased cost. For example, in Chile, the average coper ore grade has declined by 30% over 15 years.

Hypermine’s technology, which combines laser illumination, hyperspectral sensing, and proprietary machine-learning algorithms, allows mine operators to sort the valuable minerals from the remaining mined material at the earliest stage of the mining process, improving resource recovery while minimizing the environmental impact. Mines can improve their profitability by 3-10% with the technology while extending their lifetime. Furthermore, Hypermine’s technology helps cut down energy use by 10%, and it can reduce ore flotation acids and water usage by 15%.

“Meeting society’s material needs without damaging the environment is not an easy undertaking. We want to make mining more efficient, which is key for mining companies to extract more minerals at lower costs, while also minimizing environmental impact and reducing the use of water, acids, and energy. We’ve already proven our technology in multiple different environments and have vast market potential. We are continuing to partner with major players in the global mining industry and have ambitious growth plans,” says Markku Makkonen, CEO of Hypermine.

“Hypermine is truly a breakthrough technology for the mining industry,” said Jake Greenberg, Managing Director at Sage Enterprises. “In the same way that sonar allowed navies to see enemy submarines, Hypermine’s laser-based hyperspectral sensors allow mining companies to see the minerals in their orebodies in real time, improving decision-making accuracy to ensure that valuable ore gets processed while waste rock goes to the dump. This means the future of mining will be significantly more sustainable and more profitable.”

Hypermine’s breakthrough innovation, broadband laser illumination, enables revealing mineral contents of ore surfaces remotely and under any environmental conditions. This makes it possible to use the technology already during the excavation stage, improving mining decisions significantly.

“Currently, decision-making is based on inaccurate 3D block models that represent large sections of the mine, covering between 3,000 and 10,000 tonnes of material. Hypermine enables decision-making at truck load resolution, approximately 100 to 400 tonnes, making ore grade identification hundred times more accurate,” elaborates Mikhail Mekhrengin, CTO of Hypermine.

Hypermine’s technology has been co-developed and validated with a leading mining company. The Hypermine product has ongoing pilots in the UK, South Africa, Brazil, and Canada. The technology’s implementations in mines include, e.g., rock face, muck pile, loading, and hauling.

“We pioneer cutting-edge technology to support mining providers in their most critical operations – from the excavation to ore pre-processing. Combining innovative techniques, precision engineering, and industry-leading expertise, we deliver reliable, high-performance solutions designed to perform with confidence and safety, even under the toughest mining conditions,” says Andrei Rupasov, CPO of Hypermine.

“The mining industry is facing declining yields and increasing environmental scrutiny globally while demand for minerals is set to increase,” said Tor-Oskar Karlberg, Investment Director at Stephen Industries. “As an investor, we’re focused on high-impact technologies with strong teams and potential to grow internationally. Hypermine fits this commitment and we’re confident in the team’s vision. We’re excited to support Hypermine on their mission as they scale their technology and business.”
