VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SNOWLINE GOLD CORP. (TSX: SGD) (OTCQB: SNWGF) (the “Company” or “Snowline”) is pleased to announce that it has been named as recipient of the 2027 Bill Dennis Award by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (“PDAC”) in recognition of the discovery of the Valley gold deposit (“Valley”) at its Rogue Project in Canada’s Yukon Territory. Considered one of the industry’s highest honours for mineral exploration achievement, the Bill Dennis Award recognizes a Canadian mineral discovery or prospecting success that has made a significant contribution to the exploration industry.
“I am proud of Snowline’s team and grateful for the work of others in setting the stage for our success,” said Scott Berdahl, CEO & Director of Snowline. “From the development of the underlying deposit model and the initial drive to prospect in the area to the long hours and careful logistics of advanced exploration programs, many have contributed meaningfully to Valley’s discovery. We are honoured to receive this recognition from the PDAC.”
Snowline drilled the first four holes at Valley in 2021, guided by prospecting, surface geochemistry and magnetic surveying earlier that season as well as the reduced-intrusion related gold system (“RIRGS”) model established in part by Snowline’s chair, Craig Hart, in the early 2000s. The current phase of exploration was launched by Yukon prospector Ron Berdahl in 2008, and in 2012 prospectors Shane Carlos and Luke Carlos located gold mineralization and an outcropping intrusion at Valley. Aggressive drill step-outs by Snowline in 2022 rapidly revealed a consistent, large-scale RIRGS with unusually high grades for the deposit type. The discovery catalysed renewed exploration interest along the Alaska-Yukon-NWT corridor known as the Tombstone Gold Belt and in similar geological settings around the world.
ABOUT BILL DENNIS
Bill Dennis was a well-known prospector and supporter of the PDAC. Among other endeavours, he was one of four prospectors who staked initial claims on what would become the Bracemac-McLeod Mine in Quebec’s Matagami mining camp. He served on the PDAC’s executive committee for 25 years. As PDAC president from 1965 to 1966, he is one of a small group credited with preserving the organization during a challenging time in its history. Dennis was posthumously awarded the PDAC’s first “Prospector of the Year” award in 1978, and the award was renamed in his honour.
ABOUT SNOWLINE GOLD CORP.
Snowline Gold Corp. is a Yukon Territory gold exploration and development company focused on advancing its 100% owned Valley gold deposit on its flagship Rogue Project, while unlocking district upside on its >360,000 ha (3,600 km2) mineral tenure in the highly prospective yet underexplored Selwyn Basin.
Valley is a large, low strip, near surface, >1 g/t Au bulk tonnage gold system hosting an open MRE of 7.94 million ounces gold at 1.21 g/t Au Measured & Indicated (in 204.0 million tonnes)¹ and an additional 0.89 million ounces gold Inferred at 0.62 g/t Au (in 44.5 million tonnes)², with a cut-off grade of 0.3 g/t Au. Results of a PEA for Valley suggest the potential to support a long-life mining operation with a strong production profile and low production costs. The MRE and PEA are detailed in the recent technical report for Rogue, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 (as defined below) standards, entitled “Independent Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Rogue Project Yukon, Canada,” dated August 27, 2025, with an effective date of March 1, 2025, and available on SEDAR+ and the Company’s website (the “Technical Report”). The PEA is preliminary in nature and includes Inferred Mineral Resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied to them that would enable classification as Mineral Reserves. There is no certainty that the results of the PEA will be realized. Work is underway on a PFS to supersede the Valley PEA on completion, anticipated in Q1 2027.
Snowline’s project portfolio sits within the prolific Tintina Gold Province, host to multiple million-ounce-plus gold mines and deposits across the central Yukon and Alaska. The Company’s comprehensive first-mover position and extensive exploration database provide a distinct competitive advantage and a unique opportunity for investors to be part of multiple discoveries, the advancement of a significant gold deposit, and the creation of a new gold district.
